*Draco walked in to the room that his mother was sitting in watching the little house-elf clean up the guest room and then close it back up. Lucius had given the elf instructions that she was to fix up a set of rooms for Granger, any set of rooms would do but she was to stay away from Narcissa’s rooms and Draco’s rooms. So Mimsy found a perfect set of rooms on the third floor, the same floor that Lucius Malfoy’s rooms were now but on the other side. Draco and Narcissa’s bedrooms had been on the second floor and took up much of the floors space. Narcissa and Draco did not know this as they hadn’t been around during that time.
“Mother” Draco said “I am sick of being here”
“I know, my son” Narcissa spoke softly “I know, I am too”
“We can’t leave until Lucius let’s us go” Severus Snape said “You guys know that and he has spent too much time wallowing in self-pity to actually try to let us go”
“Where have you two been?” Draco asked “I don’t understand what happened. I was standing in the window watching a woman standing outside the gates and then…nothing”
“It happened to me too” Narcissa said “Only I was in Lucius’s study with him. He was sleeping on the couch, he woke up and walked to the window, sighed and then…I was here”
“I was in the basement looking over the potions ingredients that Lucius has let go bad” Severus said “And then I was no-where until I was here watching this elf fixing up this room”
“What happened?” Draco asked “We need to talk to someone who can help”
“No one can hear us Draco” Severus sneered “You know that”
“Then we make someone listen” He said moving around the room “We move stuff, knock it over or scream until they answer”
“You know it won’t work” Narcissa said softly placing her hands on his shoulders “We’ve tried it”
“I’m so sick of being caught here” Draco said brokenly sitting down on the side of the bed “It’s bad enough being dead but to be trapped here knowing that no one can see or hear me…it’s torture” His hurt, torment and anger was etched on his handsome face as his mother and godfather looked on.*
Mimsy looked up from where she had been standing putting away Miss Granger’s clothes while she was away at school. She felt Draco’s anguish wash over her and she sat down on the foot stool and looked around at the empty space. It was only empty to the naked eye, though she could not see them she knew that Draco and Narcissa were there. They were always there, watching and waiting for something to happen but she didn’t know what they wanted. She heard a noise at the door and found Lucius standing there looking around the bedroom.
“Where is she?” He asked and all three ghosts looked at him.
“She had a late class today” Mimsy said “I’m happy for it, she won’t let me in here other than to drop off some food. She moved in all her stuff on Sunday, it’s Thursday and I’ve only just been able to put it all away”
“Once you get used to her schedule you’ll be able to sneak in and clean” Lucius said.
“I don’t like sneaking” Mimsy said sadly.
“Hermione Granger is not used being waited on” He told the elf “Give it time and she will get used to it”
“Master” Mimsy said as he turned to leave.
“Yes, Mimsy?” He asked.
“I was thinking that maybe we should get another elf” She said “With Miss Granger here, I will be cooking for the two of you, cleaning up after the two of you and…I am of age in the elf world now…” She blushed and looked at her feet.
“I will look in to finding a mate for you then Mimsy” He said giving her an actual smile “You’ve been a wonderful companion these years”
“Master” She whispered and he stopped “Miss Granger could be a good companion for you as well”
“Thank you, Mimsy” He said shortly and walked out.
Draco, Snape and Narcissa stayed in that room discussing what they’d overheard long after Lucius and then the house-elf left. They were getting ready to leave the room when the door was opened and the new house tenant walked in. Draco was impressed, though she was holding at least eight different books, a bag and had no less than three quills stuck through the messy bun that was in her hair, Hermione Granger looked beautiful. She was muttering to herself about the house being too big and needing an elevator or possibly the Knight Bus to go from one side to the other. She made her way to the little office and dropped all the books on to the dainty little desk in there followed by dropping her bag on the floor near it. She had just sat down when the little elf popped in to her room with some tea and cakes and to tell her that someone came through the Floo and was in the receiving room for her and asked if she wanted them brought up. She nodded and waited rather impatiently for the person to come in to her office which they did a moment later.
“Luna” She exclaimed jumping up “Ginny. Mimsy said there was only one person”
“Well…we’re here to spend the night” Ginny said and Hermione looked lost looking at her books that were in front of her.
“But…” She started.
“Don’t be selfish, Hermione” Ginny said “Harry and Ron have the team over as they have that huge game tomorrow…thanks to them we don’t have school, thank merlin!”
“Why do they have the team over?” Hermione asked.
“I don’t know” Ginny sighed and Luna nodded her head looking over in to a corner and smiling slightly “Talking strategy, drinking….most likely drinking actually. Come on, don’t be selfish, you have this huge manor house more or less all to yourself, lets party!”
“We’re not partying” Hermione snapped “I can’t afford to get kicked out”
“I don’t think he’s going to kick you out” Ginny said to her with a devilish grin “I’ve been thinking about it and though it’s really disturbing to think about he may have let you more in thinking that he was going to get something”
“Something?” Hermione repeated clearly unable to wrap her brain around what was being said.
“Come on, Hermione” Ginny said while Luna grinned at something that neither girl had seen yet “He’s been alone now for three years he must be getting pretty…”
“Oh my god!” Hermione cried “Stop! Stop! STOP!” She covered her ears in horror “For the love of god stop what you are saying!”
“Oh come on, Hermione” Ginny laughed aloud “Don’t you want to be some rich man’s Sugar Baby?” She laughed when Hermione shook her head “You practically already are one the only thing missing is his part of the deal…has he brought it up yet?”
“Ginny” Luna said dreamily “Do stop, you’re upsetting everyone in the room and Hermione already feel’s uncomfortable and nervous about being here” She looked at Hermione “Don’t worry about living here, I highly doubt he is going to try something like that and if he does” She stopped and looked past Hermione for a second “You apparently have quite the right-hook”
“I do” She smiled proudly but then a thought popped in to her mind “How do you know about that though?”
“A friend told me” She smiled.
Hermione rolled her eyes and after a few awkward moments they moved in to her personal sitting room with Luna occasionally looking behind them. They set out their homework at Hermione’s insistence but they were soon discussing Hermione’s barely there love-life and laughing about everything that she would say in defense. Mimsy brought them wine and snacks and even listened to some of the banter with giggles of her own.
“Don’t you get started too, Mimsy” Hermione laughed “They are being terrible”
“I won’t, Miss Granger” Mimsy promised then smiled “Master Malfoy is in his rooms for the night but put up a strong silencing charm just in case, call me if you need anything”
“Thank you” Hermione said and watched as the little elf left before throwing a pillow at Ginny.
“Okay” Ginny said “Hogwarts crushes. I need to know who you two had crushes on and I’ll let you know my school crushes”
“Luna first” Hermione muttered.
“I had a crush on Neville for like two years” Luna answered immediately “Then I had a crush on Harry for a while and then Ron…after that, I just kept liking him”
“Hermione” Ginny jumped up and down “What about you?”
“You first” Hermione said.
“Fine” She said much to Hermione’s surprise “I have loved Harry since I first met him. But I thought that I was completely in love with Blaise Zabini for a while, then Dean Thomas, totally had a thing for Malfoy but that was completely based on looks…I mean what girl didn’t think he looked amazing?”
“How’d you get over your crushes?” Hermione asked her.
“I asked Blaise out” Ginny admitted with a blush “He shot me down completely, I was really surprised that he didn’t tell his fellow Slytherins and have them harass me. But he told me I wasn’t his type and that he was flattered that I was interested and then I dated Dean for a while and he turned out to be a better friend than boyfriend and well…I married Harry”
“What about Malfoy?” Luna asked.
“Malfoy…Malfoy” Ginny blushed “Well…we were opportunity kissers…”
“WHAT?!” Hermione exclaimed as Luna laughed aloud.
“Well” Ginny said blushing and giggling “It started in his fifth year when I was a fourth year, he was my first kiss and then after that it was like…whenever we were able to we were making out and I justified it to myself that I wasn’t cheating on Harry because he wouldn’t even look at me none the less date me” She smiled “Draco justified it by merely saying that if someone noticed or asked about he could simply point out that I’m a pureblood” She smirked “So, it’s your turn”
“I had a crush on Ron all through my time at Hogwarts” Hermione said “But I had a crush on Cedric, Dean, Blaise and Draco Malfoy…I also had a crush on Remus in my third year”
“I knew it!” Ginny screamed with laughter “Any other Professors we need to know about, Miss Granger?”
“Well…” Hermione blushed “Snape” She hid her face as Luna spit her wine back in to the glass while laughing.
“Oh come on” Ginny said “What girl in that school didn’t want to fuck Snape at some point?” She slapped Luna’s back as she choked on her wine “I’m merely curious how many he did fuck”
“Oh my god Ginny!” Hermione looked scandalized “He wouldn’t have” She thought about it for a moment “I’m not sure he was able to be nice for that long”
“Oh my goodness” Ginny laughed “Luna looky here, I do believe that Miss. Granger” She tried her hardest to sound like Snape “Is getting drunk!”
“Anyway” Ginny said “Sixth and Seventh year girls would legal for him, I wonder if he did…you know”
“I don’t think so” Luna said around her laughter
“How do you know?” Ginny asked.
“Just trust me on this one” Luna said
“I would trust her” Hermione said refilling her glass “I mean if Snape was getting laid he would have been so much nicer!”
“I just got a wonderful idea” Ginny said “Let’s explore”
“But…” Hermione started and then sighed “Okay. However, we cannot go in to Narcissa or Draco’s bedrooms”
“Okay” Ginny said honestly “We’ll be good” They walked out of the room leaving Luna behind to wipe up the mess she made with her wine. As she walked out she dropped her wand which rolled in to the corner, she clasped her hands in front of her and then moved forward and grabbed it.
“Sorry, Draco” She said quickly before walking out the door.
A/N: HAHAHA she dropped her wand in to Draco. I’m sorry but that’s funny. Okay, tell me what you think.
