Chapter 31 Drawings
“It is legal and binding, Severus. No one can change that, especially with the addition of elf magic.”
“I don’t understand. What are they going to do? Do they really think I’m dead? Are we still married? I won’t have to marry Malfoy’s son will I? How d …”
“Sky, calm down for goodness sake. Yes, we are still married and no, you shall not be marrying anyone else. I do not care how well connected the Malfoy’s are. You are MY wife, and you shall remain so.” He turned to Albus. “I was summoned last night. Fortunately, I had the protection afforded me by the wall, but I cannot keep going there every time, Albus. Sky has agreed to join the Order; she will be accompanying me on my missions for the Dark Lord. If all goes well, he will accept her as my wife. Then, Lucius and the Ministry will back off.”
“Really? I shall call an emergency meeting at Headquarters for this afternoon. But there is still the problem of them investigating her past, Severus. They will want proof that she is who she says she is.”
“Yes, well we’ll cross that particular bridge when we come to it. For now, let’s just have her inaugurated into the Order.”
“I shall go and make the arrangements now. And congratulations you two, Severus, Mrs. Snape.”
Sky looked behind her to see who Mrs Snape was and blushed when she realised he meant her. “It sounds strange being called that.”
“You best get used to it, Sky, because that is your name now.” Severus told her.
“I know. I just hadn’t thought about it. I’m still getting used to Morrigan. Does that mean you’re Mr. Morrigan?”
“No.” He chuckled. “You take my name. I do not take yours.”
“Why?”
“What? Because that is how it is, now no more questions. I would like to get my marking done so that we have the rest of the weekend free.”
“Why what are we going to …”
He gave her a look that said he would not answer any more questions and she shut up. When he was seated at his desk, she went to her own, unwarded the drawer and pulled out the pad she’d transfigured for her drawings and the box of charcoals. She enjoyed drawing and thought her pictures were pretty reasonable. She kept them to herself though. Just because she liked them didn’t mean anyone else would. Severus would probably tell her it was childish scribble. Her first summer here, he went loopy when he found her doodling on the back of her writing parchment. He’d snatched it from her and ripped it up, shouted at her and made her write all her letters again.
Sky didn’t have any homework to mark or anyone to write letters. Besides, she enjoyed drawing. It was fun to make the pictures come to life. Switching on the wireless, she began sketching as she tapped her foot to the music.
“Turn that off. How can I concentrate on my work with that infernal racket going on?”
“Can’t I just turn it down?”
“Off.” He demanded.
She sighed and switched it off. ’It’s not fair.’ She thought, then got up and headed over to the bookshelf. Once she found the book she wanted, she took it back to her desk, throwing a frown at Severus on the way.
Severus watched her flounce to the bookcase, run her finger along the books, then flounce back again. He was annoyed at her frown and curious as to what she was doing. If that was a dark magic book she held, they could have problems.
Sitting down Sky opened the book and turned the pages until she found what she wanted. She waved her hand at the wireless and whispered.
“Audio Carmen” I hear song.
Now she could listen to her music without bothering Severus. Smiling to herself, she got up from her seat and turned to replace the book. The trouble was Severus was standing right behind her, when she turned she walked right into him.
“What are you doing?”
“Nothing, I wasn’t doing anything.”
“You have done something. I heard you. What spell have you invoked?”
“It’s only so I can listen to the music without bothering you. It wasn’t dark magic. You said not to do Dark Magic.”
“Very well.” He stood aside so she could pass.
Sky didn’t want to go to the bookshelf and leave him alone at her desk. Her drawings were there, she didn’t want him to find them and rip them.
“W …what?
His eyes narrowed. “What are you hiding?”
“Nothing, it’s private, please Severus?”
“Do not try and hide things from me, wife. You have no right to withhold things from me.” He took her arm gently but firmly, and pulled her away from the desk. “What are these?”
“Drawings, please don’t destroy them, Severus? I like doing them. Don’t rip them up. I won’t do any more if you don’t want me to.”
He looked at the drawings and turned to look at Sky. Her eyes were wet and pleading as she stared at him.
“Why would I want to destroy them? These are very good.”
“You did before. You ripped my pictures and told me off.”
“Sky, that was before I realised how I felt about you. I would never do that now. How long have you been doing these?”
“A couple of days.”
“May I see the rest?”
Her mouth opened in surprise. “You really want to?”
“That is what I said. Now would you move aside and let me see them?”
She watched him warily, clutching the book to her chest as he flipped the pages and looked at her drawings. When he got to the fourth one he paused, looking at it for a long time. She swallowed hard. ‘Please don’t let him be mad. Please don’t let him be mad.’ She kept thinking the same thing to herself over and over like a mantra until he closed the book and turned to her.
“Two days you say?”
She nodded.
“And before that you have never drawn anything? Apart from that time during your writing lesson?”
Sky shook her head this time.
“Then you are a genius.”
“A what?”
“A genius, Sky. These drawings are brilliant, especially this one.”
He flipped back to her fourth drawing. She looked at the floor.
It was a drawing of her and Severus making love, but it was done in such a way as to not be pornographic. Severus thought it was the most sensuous, erotic drawing he had ever seen. Not only had she drawn them so lifelike, but they moved sensuously too. It was almost like watching themselves make love in a mirror.
“If you want to know what I think of this one …” He took one of her hands and placed it on the bulge in his trousers. “Feel for yourself.”
He was as hard as rock. She let her fingers travel his length through the fabric. After a couple of minutes he took hold of her wrist and stilled her movements.
“I think we should take this a bit further, don’t you?”
She gulped and nodded as he ground himself against her, nibbling on her ear. He took the book from her hands and dropped it on the desk. Sitting on her chair, he pulled out his wand, then removed their clothes before parting her legs and pulling her onto his lap.
She was already wet and he sheathed himself in her softness, letting out a soft moan as she encased his cock until it was buried up to his balls.
He took another look at her drawing then turned his eyes back to hers.
“Maybe you could draw us like this. I would like that.”
Sky didn’t get a chance to answer as he gripped her waist and lifted her almost completely off him, then slammed her back down with force. She cried out as he shifted something inside of her but it felt so wonderful. She pushed up with her feet to help him and slammed herself back down this time.
“Oh gods yes Sky, again wife, do it again.”
So she did, again and again and again until they were both dripping with the sweat of their labours, Still she continued, the knot in her belly starting to grow and spread.
“Sky, I am not going to last much longer. I hope you are close.”
As he finished speaking, he felt her walls beginning to contract tightly around him as his balls began to tighten and pull themselves up. She cried out as her orgasm took over everything, shutting down her mind until all she could hear, see or think was the unbelievable pleasure that was happening between her legs as Severus roared and shot a hot stream of come deep inside her. Both trembled with the intensity of their combined release. He held her tightly to him as he pulsed inside her, burying his face in her neck and spurting the last few drops as she wriggled slightly, still enjoying the small aftershocks of her own orgasm.
“Oh Severus. That was … was…I don’t know, but it was.”
He smiled widely as she struggled to find the right words and failed. “It most certainly was.”
They stayed that way for a couple more minutes, enjoying the closeness as they both resumed their normal breathing. “I think it is almost time for lunch. We should dress.”
“I don’t want any lunch. I want to do that again.”
“So do I, but we must go. Albus will have made arrangements with the Order by now so we need to be there. Do not worry. I promise I will see to your needs later.”
Sky brightened a little, standing back from him slowly, reluctant to let him slide from her even though he was soft now. She snapped her fingers and they were both cleaned. Another snap and they were both dressed.
“You know your wandless magic really is impressive. Who taught you that?”
“Sal mostly, then Godric helped me a fair bit. But Sal said it was already inside me and just needed bringing out.”
“You had best put your drawings away, so much for my marking. What about that spell you performed earlier?”
Sky suddenly realised the wireless was still playing.
“Finis. Ready when you are.” She told him, slipping her hand into his.
“In that case, wife ...”
He led her to the door and into the dungeon corridor.
“Don’t you want to use the door and go straight there?”
“Most certainly not, the whole school will know about us by now. It is time to show a united front and enter the Great Hall as husband and wife. We shall give them something to really talk about.”
He led her into the main hall, a sea of student faces staring at them.
Severus stopped in the middle of the hall, pulled his wife to him and kissed her passionately on the mouth. Sky was bewildered and befuddled when he finally released her mouth leading her into the Great Hall as the students behind them let out a loud cheer. Severus seated her before she came to her senses and realised what he just did. She felt her face go scarlet while he sat down with a pleased smile on his face.
They hall was almost silent as all eyes watched the couple now seated at the head table.
“The students are very quiet today, Albus. Why do you suppose that is?” Minerva wanted to know.
Albus’ eyes twinkled. “I have no idea, Minerva. Perhaps Mr. or Mrs. Snape might be able to answer that question.”
He looked at the couple to his left but they were oblivious to everyone but each other.
Severus and Sky were sharing a large platter of prawns in a filo pastry, dipping them into a sweet chilli sauce before putting them in there mouths.
‘Must have ordered them specially from the kitchens.’
“Isn’t young love wonderful, Minerva?”
She looked at Severus and Sky and smiled. “It most certainly is, Albus. I must say I have never seen Severus look so content. I was a little worried after those vows he had her say last night.”
“Ah yes, the vows, I must admit I too was taken aback. But I was not surprised. He is still Severus after all.”
“Yes but she does not know what she was saying, Albus. She did not understand those vows and you know it. I don’t even think she understand what marriage is.”
“She will learn in time, Minerva.”
“Yes I know, Albus. That is what worries me.”
After lunch, Severus took Sky to Albus’ office. There were quite a few of the Professors there already. Albus was holding a length of rope.
“What’s the rope for?”
She whispered to Severus as she tried to look as small as possible. The last time she saw a piece of rope, it was used to tie her to a post when she couldn’t stay on her feet during a particularly vicious beating.
“It is a port key. It will take us to Headquarters. You do not need to be afraid of it.”
“I’m not.” She lied. “I just wondered that’s all.”
“Hmm.” He did not believe her but said nothing.
“Are we all here?” Albus asked.
There were a few mumbled yeses. He held out the rope, placed his wand to it, incantating.
“Portus.”
The rope glowed for a second. He held it out. Everyone touched it, including Severus as Sky looked on curiously.
“Take hold of the rope, Sky, or you will be left behind.” He told her grabbing her hand and wrapping her fingers around it. “Now just hold tight and do not let go until I tell you.”
She didn’t get a chance to ask why as the world started to spin out of control. She was pulled into somewhere and pushed out again. Severus kept an arm about her waist. It was just as well because all of a sudden they were on terra firma. She would have fallen on her backside had he not been holding on to her.
“Urgh what was that? I feel sick.”
“Not here.” He hissed. “Take some deep breaths. You’ll be fine.”
She glared at him. ‘What did he know. He wasn’t just flung about like a top same as she was. None of them had. Only her.’ Or, so she thought?
They were on a green near the end of a street of houses. Sky couldn’t remember ever seeing houses before now and found them interesting. She kept stopping and trying to peer in the windows as they walked past but Severus kept pulling her along.
“I want to see. There are people inside. Look, in there.”
“Of course there are people inside. They are houses. What did you expect?”
“I don’t know.” She told him lamely. “I’ve never seen any before.”
“I should have realised. I will explain them to you later. But for now we have to hurry.”
They stood in front of two of the houses and Sky stared in wonderment as they seemed to part and another house squeezed itself out from between them.
“Ooo look at that. How did it do that?”
“Magic child, magic.” Albus told her smiling. “Now, shall we go inside. I do hope Molly has the kettle on.”
“Doesn’t she always, Albus.” Minerva answered as she urged him up the steps and into the house.
They all filed down a long, wide dingy corridor. Sky tried to look everywhere at once as they went through a door and into a large kitchen.
There were a lot of people present and Sky tried to keep as close to the door as possible. Her stone started to flash weakly as she looked around at everyone and tried not to be seen. With the stone flashing at her throat, even as weak as it was, it drew the attention of several members.
“Aha, so you’re the one all this fuss is about.”
Sky started, letting out a small scream as a man with what seemed to be half a face and no nose suddenly appeared in front of her and barked at her. Terrified, she yanked the partly open door and ran back into the hall, Severus in hot pursuit. He caught her by the waist and lifted her off her feet just as she grabbed the handle of the front door. She let out another scream, thinking it was the face man again and lashed out, trying to make him let go. He grabbed her arms, pinning them to her sides.
“Sky, calm down it’s me. That was only Moody. He did not mean to scare you. Did you Moody?” He growled at Alastor who had limped after them as fast as he could.
“Nah, sorry I gave you a fright lass. Didn’t realise you was such a flighty thing.”
All of a sudden another voice added to the fray. .
“Blood traitors and mudblood lovers the lot of you!”
The voice screeched. Sky’s scream had awoken Mrs. Black.
“Put her down you great greasy traitor. She is worth more then the lot of you put together.” The portrait continued. “Put her down and leave her be. She can stay but I want the rest of you out of my house now.”
“Ah shut up you old bag.” Moody told her as he tried to pull the heavy drape across Mrs. Black’s picture.
“Make them go away. Tell them to get out of my house. I know who you are, Miss Morrigan. I can help you. Get rid of them and stay here with me. We can mmmph…”
Moody and Severus finally managed to pull the drape and shut the portrait up as Sky stood looking from it to them, wishing she was back at Hogwarts.
“Come on Sky. Come back into the kitchen.” Severus told her softly as he put an arm around her back and led her down the passage. Moody followed behind with a funny kind of pad, clump, pad, and clump.
She wanted to look behind her, see why he was making such an odd noise but Severus told her to go with him so she did. In the kitchen, he led her to the other side of the table and sat her down, then seated himself next to her. He kept his arm round her possessively so he could grab her if she decided to bolt again.
Sky looked up to see everyone staring at her. She felt foolish at the way she’d behaved, but that man seemed to jump out at her and it really gave her a scare. She studied her hands under the table rather than look at the faces watching her.
The Headmaster was speaking but she wasn’t listening. She was too busy thinking about what the woman in the hall said to her. ‘I know who you are.’ She said. ‘You can stay here.’ ‘Who was that woman? What was a mudblood? What was a blood traitor? How does she know my name?’ Sky began to wonder if she did the right thing agreeing to join the Order. ‘That’s a silly thing to think. Of course it’s the right thing. It might save Severus’ life.’ Though how she didn’t know.
“Mrs. Snape, would you mind standing please?”
“What?” She asked surprised when Albus spoke to her.
“I asked you to stand, Sky. Our members would like to meet you and see if you are suitable to join us.”
“What’s the point?” She mumbled. “After that stupid display I just put on.” She’d been muttering to herself, not expecting anyone to hear her.
“We won’t hold that against you. Moody’s enough to scare anyone.” Several members laughed as she looked up to the voice and met a pair of kind amber eyes atop a smiling face. “Remus Lupin, pleased to meet you.” He told her holding out his hand.
She gave him a shy smile and took his hand to shake. As their hands touched, her stone brightened, turning to a pale silvery yellow.
“Remus Lupin? You’re the werewolf. I’m pleased to meet you. I wanted to talk to you about…”
“Enough.” Severus hissed.
“Oh. Sorry Mr. Lupin.”
Remus looked at her a bit puzzled. She knew he was a werewolf and she wanted to talk to him? That in itself was unusual, but why had Snape shut her up?
“I am happy to speak with you any time you are free, Mrs. Snape. Just let me know when.” He ignored Snape’s glare and sat down with a bemused expression on his face.
The rest of the introductions came one after another as they asked her questions about her age, where she came from, where had she been and where was she educated, what special talents did she have to offer that would aid the Order. She gave them her age but when she told them who taught her, they all laughed at her. It hurt when they did that so she sat down, trying to hold in the tears that threatened to spill.
