Harry stood before the council. To his right, his best friend, Ron. To his left, his soon-to-be wife, Ginny. Kingsley sat at the head of the council, looking dignified and bold, but at the same time a bit uncertain.
"Mr. Potter, Mr. Weasley, the Wizengamot has reviewed your application for a warrant to arrest Blaise Zabini," Kingsley said unwavering in his deep baritone. "After reviewing your application and evidence, we, the Wizengamot, have voted to deny your warrant."
"What?!" Harry and Ron shouted in unison.
"There is simply not enough valid evidence to support the claim that--"
"Minister," Ginny interrupted, "what more could we bring to the Wizengamot?"
"Perhaps the supposed control room where you claim Mr. Zabini watches over his supposed captives?" offered one of the female council members. "Or perhaps one of his supposed captives?"
Harry scoffed. "What about Andromeda Tonks?" he asked. "It is clear she was tortured with the Cruciatus by Zabini."
"You're making allegations and assumptions, Mr. Potter," the woman stated. "Perhaps you have his wand which will show this curse being performed? Or perhaps you have medical records regarding Mrs. Tonks condition showing that she was indeed cursed?"
"Mrs. Tonks is currently in my care," Ginny confessed. "I performed the necessary detection spells before I treated her, and they clearly showed--"
"Are you a licensed Healer, Miss Weasley?" the woman piped in.
Ginny's eyebrows furrowed in annoyance. "No, but I am in training to beco--"
"An unlicensed Healer is in no position to guarantee the diagnosis of Mrs. Tonks. You'll need a real Healer's written report," the councilwoman confirmed.
Ginny glanced at Harry, who was becoming angrier by the second. She turned back to the council.
Kingsley sighed. "I am sorry, Mr. Potter, but the Wizengamot has decided."
"What about a warrant to search Malfoy Manor?" Ron pitched.
"You were already given a warrant to search Malfoy Manor," stated another council member, this one rather old and bald.
"Yes, but the last time we were there, it was to prove Mr. Lucius Malfoy's guilt. Now we know who the real guilty party is. We need permission to return to Malfoy Manor without Mrs. Narcissa Malfoy breathing down our necks," Ron argued.
Harry nodded. "Yes, the last time we were there, it was difficult to do an actual search because of Mrs. Malfoy."
"Why didn't you just dismiss her?" the councilman asked.
Harry gazed at the councilman in confusion. "Excuse me?"
The man sighed. "Mr. Potter, it is not this council's fault if you cannot read your own warrants properly. Any Auror conducting a search on private property has the right to dismiss the occupants of said property if the occupants impede upon investigation."
Harry and Ron shared a look. Neither had known that tidbit of information, though they probably should have. Had Hermione been with them, they would have known it. Harry turned back to the councilman and explained to him that he had not known about that condition.
The-Man-Who-Defeated-the-Dark-Lord turned his attention to Kingsley. "Minister, is it possible for us to be issued another warrant to search Malfoy Manor?"
The black man raised an eyebrow. "You do not need another warrant, Mr. Potter. The search warrant you were given is good until the end of this investigation."
Harry and Ron glanced at one another again. The warrant was still good! They could go back to Malfoy Manor and search the place thoroughly without interference from Narcissa or Zabini.
There was a bit of chatter among the Wizengamot as the council seemed to be deciding something. Harry watched as Percy Weasley whispered something in Kingsley's ear. The raven-haired man hoped it was something good.
Kingsley nodded and looked down at Harry, Ron, and Ginny. "This council has decided to give you three days to provide enough evidence against Blaise Zabini. If an ample amount of evidence can be found, we will approve your arrest warrant."
The Minister hit the gavel upon the desk and concluded the meeting.

The moment Hermione entered the police station, she went straight to the desk. She knew from past experience that many countries have a witch or wizard in the "Missing Persons" division. So, that's who she wanted to see.
The man behind the desk was portly and balding. He seemed friendly enough, and Hermione gave him a soft smile. "Please, sir, perhaps you could help me?" she asked.
He looked at her curiously. He said something in Bulgarian and her eyes widened. As her face became crestfallen, he gave a soft laugh. "I apologize, senora," he told her. "Ze English always make me laugh."
Her face hardened. "This is no laughing matter, sir," she told him. "My name is Hermione Granger and I am looking for Viktor Krum."
The man stopped in mid-laugh and looked towards the open door. Aleksandar was standing in the doorway. The two men spoke for a moment in Bulgarian before Aleksandar nodded and turned away, closing the door behind him.
The balding man glanced at Hermione again. "You are hero, right? Helped Harry Potter defeat He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named?"
She nodded and breathed a sigh of relief. "You're a wizard," she guessed.
He shook his head. "But I know of your world, senora. I am... how do you say... born wizard, but never... became wizard."
She looked at him curiously, having no clue what he meant. He pursed his lips and tried again. "My father is wizard. My mother is witch. I am not."
Her eyes widened and she nodded in understanding. He was a Squib. Her eyebrows furrowed. "Please, sir, if it isn't too much to ask, I desperately need to find Viktor Krum. Do you know how I may contact him? It's rather urgent."
"Officer Aytos said you were kidnapped?"
She nodded. "Yes, and I must get to Viktor immediately."
The man took out a notepad and a pen. "Do you know ze name of your kidnappers?"
Hermione huffed. "Of course I do. They are Blaise Zabini and Narcissa Black. They had help from Andromeda Tonks. But I am not the only one they kidnapped. There are five people still held hostage and if I don't find Viktor soon, I fear they'll die."
"Do this Zabini and Black know you are gone?"
"No," she said at first. Then she hesitated and said, "I don't know. I don't think they knew I was gone, but whether that information is still true, I am not sure. That's why I need to find Viktor."
"Viktor Krum is not an Auror, senora--"
"I know that! He's an international celebrity. And he's one of my closest friends."
"Why do you need him?"
She rolled her eyes. "Well, do you have immediate transport to England? Can you get me to England in five minutes?"
He raised an eyebrow. "Senora, I highly doubt--"
She slammed her hands on his desk. "I do not have time for your doubts! Is Viktor Krum on tour right now or not?"
"He is not."
"Then he is home. I know where he lives. Where am I? What part of Plovdiv?" she asked, going to a large map that hung on his wall and looking at it.
From what she could see, it was a city street map of Plovdiv. She remembered Viktor showing her one a long time ago. He had even pointed out the street he lived on and given her the address. Unfortunately, the map they had perused together had been written in English. This map was in Bulgarian.
She closed her eyes for a moment and pictured the map in English. She could see Viktor pointing out his street. "You would like it, Hermione," he had said.
She opened her eyes and looked at the map again. She pointed to a street on the map. "Can you take me to this street?" she asked the Squib.
"Senora--" he said hesitantly.
She turned and glared at him. "Nevermind!" she shouted before storming out of the office.
She glanced around the station until her eyes fell upon Aleksandar. While her foot was still tender, she managed to successfully limp towards him at a hurried pace. Aleksandar stood when he saw her.
"I need your help," she told him. "Do you have a street map of Plovdiv?"
He nodded and brought her to the front desk. Once there, he pulled out a phone book and flipped the pages until he came to the street map. He showed it to Hermione and the young Gryffindor took a moment to study it. She quickly found the street she was looking for and pointed it out to him.
"My friend lives on this street," she told Aleksandar. "Could you take me to him?"
"What about Detective--"
"He was no help, Aleksandar," she said, honestly. "Please? You know how urgent this is. I must see Viktor. I must get to him."
The police officer nodded and took her hand in his. When they stepped outside, he lifted her so she wouldn't have to walk. At first, she protested, but he would hear none of it. "Your foot will be worse," he chided as he opened the passenger door with one hand and helped her into the seat.
They drove as fast as his car would take them across the city. "It is shame you are in trouble. Plovdiv is nice this time of year," he told her.
Hermione gazed at him and smiled. "Yes, I know. Viktor told me it was a beautiful city. The second largest in Bulgaria. It really is a shame I never was able to enjoy it."
He stole a glance at her and returned her smile. "You return then?"
"Perhaps."
They were quiet as he turned back to concentrate on his driving. As they approached the street in question, Hermione saw someone leaving a house. She knew those broad shoulders only too well. "Stop the car!" she shouted as she unhooked her seatbelt and opened the door.
Before Aleksandar could stop her, Hermione got out of the car and sprang into an odd limping run towards the heavily coated person at the house.
"Viktor!" she shouted.
The person turned around and watched in a mix of awe and shock as Hermione approached him. "Hermione?" he asked.
A squeal of glee escaped the Gryffindor as she threw her arms around him. "Oh, Viktor! Thank God!"
Author's Note: Oh, my goodness! I leave for a couple months and AFF changes! This is incredible.
Oh, right. You're all probably incredibly shocked and excited to see some new chapters posted. Yeah, well, long story short, my broomstick decided not to work anymore and I need to get it fixed. Unfortunately, fixing it would cost roughly 1,500 Galleons, which I don't have. And, of course, I do not have ready access to this Muggle interwebs at home, so I'm having to rely on going to the library, which is about half a day's walk from my house. Luckily, a friend of mine brought me to the library today, so I could post a new chapter or two. (And check all my other internet stuff.)
As always, your comments and votes are appreciated. Special thanks to my wonderful team of betas, you girls are amazing. (If anyone is interested in getting a beta, definitely look them up. I will post some abbreviated information about them during my final chapter, as a sort of wrap-up.)
I thank all of you for your patience with this story. I promise I will finish it, you just have to give me a little bit more time. You're all great, wonderful people and I love you all!
