"I'm speaking"
Pairing: Yaoi M/M, Harem – top Harry x bottom de-aged Severus / Tom / Lucius
Last Time:
It was only 10 seconds at most, but the wait was still agonizing for Tom. He wanted to give Neville enough time to get Harry out of the cabinet, but also wanted to move as fast as he can. The smell of Harry’s blood drenching his clothes only made his panic increase even more so with every second that passed. However, when he finally raced into the cabinet he found even more blood on the other side ...

Severus didn’t show his concern as he followed Dumbledore to the Great Hall. It had nothing to do with Quirinus being absent from the staff table. That actually made sense. What did bother him was that it was taking longer than expected for Harry to show up.
“Very odd, isn’t it?” Dumbledore pondered out loud.
“What do you mean, Albus?” Severus asked, staying on high alert. He prayed that the old wizard didn’t notice that something was off about his horcrux.
Dumbledore just hummed as his eyes skimmed the staff table, “I don’t see our dear Professor Quirrell.”
“Indeed.” Severus said, feeling a mix of amusement and relief. Of course, Dumbledore would be concerned about Quirinus’ absence. He has been cautious around Quirinus since that traumatic spicy snack accident. “He mentioned something about a new recipe last time I saw him so perhaps that’s what delayed him.” Severs commented casually despite desperately wanting to laugh at Dumbledore’s now pale face.
“I hope he doesn’t get carried away.” Dumbledore said with a noticeable hint of anxiety in his voice. Despite his deep seeded fear of an unwanted spicy attack his attention was quickly captured by two certain students pushing past the other students. “Ms. Granger, Mr. Weasley, what is the problem? Where’s Harry?”
Hermione took a second to catch her breath, “Sam said Harry got a notice from Gringotts and now he’s gone. The window was open and a shrunken broom was gone!”
Severus immediately became concerned after hearing that, but then felt a tug on his mind, (What’s going on-)
(Harry’s in danger! We’re going to the manor!) Tom’s voice echoed through the potion master’s mind even though it lasted only a split second and he never saw Tom.
Dumbledore frowned and looked for the Aurors, “Thank you for telling me. Severus, tell Minerva I’ll be gone for the day.” He waved down the Aurors as they entered the Great Hall.
“Of course.” Severus said despite being stunned by the news of his lover being in danger. “I’m sure the headmaster can handle things from here. Shouldn’t you two be sitting down?” He asked sharply while shooting Ron and Hermione a glare.
“Yay! Cake!” Ron yelled, earning some snickers and dumbfounded looks.
An annoyed Hermione forced a smile to her face, “Yes, Professor.” She said as she grabbed Ron by his collar, “it’s breakfast, Ron. Not even close to dessert.”she hissed clearly embarrassed by the redhead’s outburst.
Severus barely noticed that strange outburst over his own worry, but he forced himself to play his role, “Minerva, Albus had to leave because of Potter.” He whispered into the deputy headmistress’s ear as she entered the room.
“What did Mr. Potter do?” McGonagall asked assuming Harry did something.
“It sounds like he flew to Gringotts. Albus says he’ll handle that and to give everyone the day off.” Severus quickly went through his mental list of excuses to find the best one. “Considering everything I think it’d be wise to do some brewing for Poppy.”
The transfiguration Professor sighed, “Yes, that would be for the best. How quickly can you start?”
Severus frowned, “I’ll start right now. When it’s at a safe point during the brewing I’ll send for food.” He barely heard Minerva agree before turning and walking passed all the students.
Just as he was leaving the Great Hall the morning announcements began, but he couldn’t care less. At the moment he only wanted to get back to his living quarters and floo to the Malfoy manor as fast as possible. Thankfully, he was stocked up on healing potions so he barely slowed down when he entered his room. He just grabbed a bag, put a few potions in and flooed out.
“Stop, Sirius! I removed the runes, but everyone needs to back off so Vesta can clean the wound.” A panicked Lucius snapped from what sounded like the living room..
That prompted Severus to hurry towards the chaos. There in the living room he saw a trail of blood going across the floor and up to the couch. On that couch was Harry who was gushing blood from a horrendous gaping hand shaped wound on his shoulder, which Vesta was tending to.
“Dammit, he needs help!” Sirius yelled and glared at the goblins. “You can’t just stand there and let him bleed out.”
Severus finally realized all the other people, even one goblin, in the room, “You don’t know the full story so be quiet.” He hissed as he came over and kneeled with Lucius and Tom.
“I’m inclined to agree with them.” The goblin said and cast a privacy spell that trapped him with a worried Sirius and Remus. “Are either of you healers?” He asked sharply before Sirius could start ranting.
Sirius felt his panic rising when several people, like Bellatrix and Barty, stood right in front of the privacy bubble so he couldn’t see Harry, “No, but he needs-“
“He does have help. Some excellent healers are right here and there’s possibly much more than a regular injury going on here.” The goblin said as he saw the fox’s tail move as it hopped onto the back of the couch. This particular goblin was well aware of what that fox was and about the horcruxes. “Besides, you’re aren’t allowed near him until you finish proving you’re mentally ok. I’ll forget this outburst considering the shock and blood involved.”
“But …” Sirius really wanted to argue, but he suddenly remembered what he did the last time he saw Harry and realized that he probably wouldn’t be of much comfort. “Ok … what question were we on?”
The goblin took note of Sirius’ eyes that worriedly in Harry’s direction, but took it as a positive sign especially since the wizard was staying out of the way. It’s one thing to worry, but quite another to lose control and make things worse …

“What the hell happened?” Severus asked as he waited for Vesta to finish, what he assumed, cleaning any dead magic out of the gaping wound.
Tom scowled, “Remember back at Hogwarts when Dumbledore was talking Harry down. The bastard used that one moment where he touched Harry’s shoulder to place dead magic, a spell and a rune on him. It looks like Harry’s magic was either trying to break the spell or attack the dead magic, which applied pressure to the runes and … it popped ...” Tom let his sentence trail off as his eyes lingered on the exposed bone peeking out of what looked like a giant exploded blister on Harry’s shoulder. “Neville and I tried to move as fast as we could.”
Lucius was shaking slightly, “A second chance blister started forming so I still had to remove the runes.”
“Dear Merlin.” Severus murmured and jumped into action the second he saw Vesta move out of the way. “Harry? Harry, are you able to drink?” He asked as he pulled out a blood potion.
Harry groaned and hissed in pain as he tried to move his head, “Yes.” With Narcissa, Alecto and even Rabastan helping with healing charms and Severus’ potions the wound refused to close completely. “Where’s Neville?” Harry curiously asked, trying his best to remain awake as those around him tried to heal him.
Lucius smiled half heartedly, “Draco heard the … pop … Neville went to keep him in his room. He’s not in a condition to be running around either.”
“I have a feeling we have a lot of stories to tell.” Harry pressed out in pain as the magic from several spells tried to forcefully stitch his skin together, but he skin wasn’t repairing. “Ok … it’s not going to close.”
Rabastan and the others lowered their wands and stared at the wound in a dumbfounded silence. It wasn’t bleeding or as large, but it still remained open. What was a messy gaping hole now looked like someone carved a hand in Harry's shoulder with a knife and stole the skin.
“What the hell?” Tom gasped just as confused as everyone else.
‘My venom stops healing too, though that’s mainly because my snack dies first.’
Tom barely glanced down at Nagini, “Venom … it’s possible dead magic has that effect.” He pondered out loud.
Lucius frowned, “Remus was tainted with dead magic, but it only made him angry.”
‘An angry werewolf? Is that what that noise was? It ruined my nap.’ Nagini mumbled as she slithered away casually to get something to eat.
Tom twitched, “Sorry for disturbing your nap.” He muttered before noticing that Harry was trying to move. “You really shouldn’t push it, Harry. Stay down and let Severus cover what’s left.”
“I’ll be fine. I’ll go to sleep soon.” Harry groaned as he carefully sat up.
“Shit.” Severus cursed and quickly stood up. “If nothing here works I need to get some wider bandages.”
Bellatrix nudged Narcissa, “Cissa will help you.”
“Yes, that’s a good idea.” Narcissa agreed especially since she saw a rat peeking down from upstairs. Poor Peter probably didn’t want Sirius to see him and get distracted even more so.
Tom nodded absentmindedly, “Dumbledore should be at Gringotts.” He said surprising a few people there.
“Quirinus just left for Gringotts.” Bellatrix pointed out feeling only a little confused about her double agent lover.
“Yes.” Tom said seriously and glanced at the privacy bubble keeping Sirius, Remus and the goblin separated. ‘We need to all be on the page and we should do so while some ears are covered. We can talk to the goblin after.”

“Thank you for letting me file charges immediately. I hope I didn’t delay things back at the manor.” Quirinus said as he sat across from one of the goblins who were investigating the Malfoy manor to prevent the ministry from doing something foolish.
The goblin scoffed, “The only thing left there was getting clearance on Sirius’ mental state. Other than that everything was collected.” The goblin placed a knife and glass lotus flower in front of Quirinus. “With one drop of your blood we can find the remains of your grandmother, Mary, and the spot where the forced exorcism took place. To be sure you want me to just say you suspected that something happened and not to use you as a witness, correct?”
Quirinus nodded as he cut his hand with the knife, “Yes, no one saw. I was simply worried about the missing ghost of my aunt and my grandmother. What degree of punishment should be expected for the perpetrator?” He asked as he put the knife back down on the table and let the blood drip onto the flower.
The long claws took the blood coated glass flower, “We all know what you are fighting for. Sadly, being locked away for life is the best you can hope for with just your blood and no witnesses to prove who did what and that penalty could be very dangerous especially if certain things are left unchecked.”
The flower was placed on a piece of parchment. A slight glow of the petals signaled them to start moving around and twisting as the flower slid over the parchment’s surface. The different rings of petals would twitch or twist and with every motion the glass lotus the blood was etched onto the parchment. In short, the glass flower was a gory printing press and it very clearly printed out a detailed map.
“Right.” Quirinus sighed in frustration. They almost forgot about the ability to make more horcruxes. It was necessary to keep the dead magic in Dumbledore down during the trial so he can’t make more before he dies. “Thank you. I’ll talk with them about that.”
With that Quirinus bowed politely and started to leave. Fortunately, or unfortunately depending on how you think of it, he caught a glimpse of some familiar robes. They were Dumbledore’s robes. The headmaster was there with Aurors. Out of curiosity he stayed back and listened.
A goblin at the check in counter sneered, “We will discuss your concerns with Lord Potter personally. Now if there’s nothing else-“
One of the Aurors slammed his hand on the counter, “This is urgent! Just hours ago he was attacked and we have reason to believe his adoptive family is responsible!”
“He is also a student and therefore i should be with him.” Dumbledore said calmly.
“An attack you say?” The goblin said with a sneer. “We just finished investigating that. I was told to inform any Aurors asking about it to meet our team in a couple hours. As for Lord Potter, I can’t allow any contact if he doesn’t want it. He isn’t underage and has the right to leave school at any point. I can say that he is rather upset so if he wants your company during the meeting I just mentioned I will inform you, Headmaster Dumbledore. If you’d like we have a break area with food and drinks. You are free to wait there until the meeting.”
Quirinus smirked as the Aurors left to make their reports, but Dumbledore went into the break area to wait. “Bloody brilliant goblins. They’re stalling so they can investigate the exorcism. I need to get back.” He said as he removed his turban to keep himself from being automatically recognized and disappeared into a floo.

Tom felt relieved as he and the goblin spoke in Lucius’ office, “So Sirius is stable enough.”
“Yes.” The goblin sneered as Quirinus entered the room, “but I don’t know for sure if we can get the death penalty. His memories are clear now, but Dumbledore was careful enough to not let him see a murder.”
“On its own, even though my grandmother was murdered for the ritual, it might not be enough. However, we have another issue. How do we keep the dead magic down so he can’t make a horcrux?” Quirinus pointed out.
“Why isn’t it death?” Tom asked his mind spinning around his dear friend, Myrtle, and Mary.
Quirinus sighed, “We can’t exactly hand over memories showing that we saw everything and expect that to not backfire on us.” He blinked and smiled sheepishly at the goblin. “This is off the record, right?”
The goblin scoffed, “Like many things that you have told us, yes. As for your troubles I have an option. If Lord Potter wanted to add his. Injuries to the charges we could safely bump up the charges, but I’m assuming you all wouldn’t want that, correct?”
“Injures … I saw Harry as I came up.” Quirinus murmured solemnly.
“Yeah … as much as I’d like to, it'd be too risky.” An annoyed Tom muttered. “Dead magic was part of the set Dumbledore applied to Harry’s shoulder when we found his horcrux. If we say that injury did happen, which wasn’t Dumbledore’s intent, then he may suspect that we know about dead magic and he might try to create a horcrux out of panic.”
The goblin snarled, “On that point … we haven’t seen them in a long time so am I correct in assuming that that little fox is a nature sprite?”
Tom raised an eyebrow, “Yes. She’s Harry’s familiar, why?”
“With Lord Potter’s permission I’d like to burrow her. If she can guide some of the dead magic wafting off the horcruxes you have stored away then I think I can arrange for a special prison cell to be made. One that will keep Dumbledore in check until a death penalty can be made. Just get us something we can investigate so we can get that charge.” The goblin said seriously.
Tom nodded, “Will the portkey location of the portkey Sirius was given help? Also Peter mentioned a hidden cabinet with potions in his office.” He said making sure to not say that Remus also got a portkey. After all, they promised to keep the werewolf out of this.
After taking down a couple notes on a parchment he summoned the goblin nodded, “Give me the portkey and a thorough investigation will begin.”

Sirius sighed as he watched the goblin walk away, “Finally. Took long enough.” He said as he curiously watched the goblin talk to the young guy who brought Harry here. Why did this young guy seem to be in charge? Everyone seemed to depart and go relax with one nod from the wizard who must’ve only recently become legal.
“Of course. You can use my office.” Lucius said as he sat next to Harry with the fox in his lap. “Dobby.”
“What can Dobby do for master?” The house elf asked.
Lucius saw Harry sway slightly as Severus bandaged him and he held his arm to support Harry. “Could you clean up here and get breakfast ready?”
Dobby nodded cheerfully, “It has been busy. Dobby, Flippy and Flopsy will have a large breakfast ready soon.” He said trying to snap away the blood as discreetly as possible. Of course, he didn’t miss Sirius and Remus looking at Harry. “You two must be tired. Should Dobby take you both to Sirius’ room?” He asked while narrowing his eyes dangerously.
Sirius chuckled sheepishly at the subtle warning, “No. we’ll wait quietly.” He said and dragged Remus to a seat near the windows farther away, but not so far that he couldn’t see or slightly hear Harry. “Hey Remmy, did you see anything while I was talking with that goblin?” He asked not sure what to think about Severus and Lucius being so cozy with Harry. The three weren’t talking loud enough for anyone to hear and it made Sirius very curious.
“I couldn’t see much over the people standing there, but it looked like everyone was talking.” Remus said as he saw the wizard he recognized as the one who turned into a bird flooed into the room.
Lucius just looked at him, “Tom is up in my office with the goblin.”
Quirinus stopped and looked at the bandage, “You were fine when I saw you less than an hour ago … what happened?”
“He’ll need some rest.” Severus said sharply, making it clear that now was not a good time.
“Got it.” Quirinus said quickly knowing when to back away from the protective potion master.
Sirius raised an eyebrow as the guy scurried upstairs, “Snape is … scary.”
Soon the delicious smells of breakfast filled the manor. Everyone, students and otherwise, headed for the dining room. That’s when Sirius thought he saw a chance to help as he saw Severus and Lucius helping Harry stand up.
“Do you need some help getting to the table?” Sirius asked.
“I’m going to rest in my room.” Harry said though he might’ve actually agreed just to get that sad look off Sirius’ face, but he saw Tom and the goblin headed down the stairs. “Tom … everything ok?” He asked noticing Quirinus turn into a bird just to get down to the delicious smelling breakfast faster.
Tom nodded, “Goresnare here would like to ask Vesta to assist with a problem.”
Harry looked down at the curious fox on the floor, “You can go, Vesta. I should be fine for a while.” The fox hesitated before going over to the goblin.
“They’re this way.” Tom said and led the fox and goblin down to the cellar. Everyone, except Sirius and Remus, knew that the cellar held four special objects and it was puzzling as to why Vesta would be needed with them. A moment later Tom, Goresnare and Vesta returned, but with the addition of an odd, yet familiar, black cloud. “I hope this will suffice.”
The goblin sneered, “It will. I will return to inform you when the investigation has ended. Do take care of yourself, Lord Potter.” The goblin said before flooing away with Vesta and the black cloud.
Harry smirked, “I see.”
“Huh?” Sirius blinked in confusion and his confusion only got worse when he saw many others were smirking. What was he missing?

“This cell will work. Can you manipulate where the roots will go?” Goresnare asked. Vesta nodded as she guided the black cloud into the cracks between the stones. “Good. Just point them straight down to the cell below- Bloodtear? What happened?”
The goblin that ran in stopped and looked from Vesta to the growing tree in the roof cell and sneered, “We have an issue. I might have blown up a student.”
