Hey hey hey everyone! I'm back. Sorry it took a couple extra days. My SIL couldn't edit very fast because of her RL getting to her (I must say that I am glad right now that I don't have a 14 year old son, 12 year old daughter and 3 year old son. I'm happy with my one 3 year old.) But here it is. The next chapter is completely written in my head and almost completely down on paper. The only other reason I am a little late posting is because I have been busy rereading Unstoppable and than took Thunderbirds advice and looked into AO3 and have been reading some of the stories that she has bookmarked. Anywho, please keep the reviews coming because they have really helped me keep going. Responses to the last chapter are at the bottom.
DM: Question thirteen (if it’s not to bold), what is one lesson that you remember your parents teaching you when you were younger that you still hold onto today?
Hermione thought about the question. It made her miss her parents just a little bit more. Which made her miss Draco more as well. Just a couple more hours, she thought. Hermione took another sip of her coffee before replying.
HG: There are a lot of lessons they taught me. I remember them every day. But the one lesson I’ve been taking into account a lot lately is the one my father taught me about love because of everything that we have been through.
DM: Care to elaborate?
HG: He told me that true love doesn’t come by finding the perfect person, but by learning to love an imperfect person, perfectly. We both have made plenty of mistakes since we started this relationship, but I wouldn’t have it any other way because you’re still with me. Neither of us are perfect, but you are perfectly imperfect for me.
DM: I’m going to have to remember that because I completely agree. How’s your morning?
HG: Going by far too slow. It’s only nine.
DM: What are you going to do until the ball tonight?
HG: Ginny, Daphne, Pansy, Blaise, Theo and I are going to meet at the Manor about eleven thirty to lend a helping hand.
DM: Mother most likely has everything handled. She’s probably just wanting some company.
HG: That’s what I figured, too.
DM: We are about to board our plane so I have to go, but I’ll see you about one.
HG: Okay. Stay safe. I love you.
DM: I love you, too.
Hermione finished her breakfast, washed her dishes, and made her way back upstairs.
“Morning sleepy head,” she said to Ginny, who had just reached the landing. “What happened to your morning runs?”
“Rough night,” Ginny replied through a yawn. “Like, really rough.”
“Mine wasn’t extremely bad. Just one of the normal nightmares. I was actually going to see if you wanted to run this morning.”
Ginny starred at her. “I’ve created a running monster, haven’t I?”
Hermione smiled shyly. “Maybe.” Ginny continued. “What can I say, it actually helped.”
“Fine. Meet me downstairs in ten minutes.”
“So are you going to start running with me when we get back to Hogwarts?” Ginny asked as she plopped down on the sofa.
“Maybe a little bit,” Hermione said as she sank down next to Ginny. “But not for an hour and a half like this time. I don’t think I can move.”
“You’re going to have to. We have to be at the Manor in forty-five minutes.”
“Yeah, yeah. I know. Luckily I wrapped my gifts last night.”
“What’s that have to do with anything?” Ginny asked with her eyes still closed.
“It means, I get to shower first!” Hermione sprang from the couch and sprinted upstairs with Ginny hot on her heels.
“So not cool, ‘Mione!” Ginny said pounding on the closed bathroom door.
“Go wrap your presents,” Hermione laughed. “I’ll be ten minutes tops!”
“Urg! Fine!” Hermine laughed as she heard Ginny stomp back downstairs.
She quickly undressed and stepped under the warm water. Her tense muscles were soon melting. Only two more hours. Excitement filled her bones as she thought about when she would see him. Surely, she wouldn’t be able to jump him right there, but would they get the chance to spend some much needed quality time together before the ball?
Hermione’s hand slithered down her chest, over her stomach, and right to her folds. As she imagined Draco’s lips crashing down on hers, she slipped in a finger, as if it were his. After a few minutes of slow pumping, she inserted another finger and thrusted faster, bringing herself closer and closer to the edge. She hadn’t done this since the first night at Grimmauld, and found that she should have done it maybe a few more times. Hermione brought her left arm up to her breasts, massaging and pinching her nipples, turning them into points. Just a few more quick pumps brought her over the edge with a loud moan and her boyfriends name on her lips.
Knock. Knock. Knock.
“I hope you know that even though you said ten minutes, you’ve been in there for almost fifteen!”
Dammit! “Almost done!” Hastily, she finished washing her hair and body, figuring that she would just use her wand to shave when she changed later.
She had just wrapped a towel around herself when Ginny burst through the in. “Finally! We are going to be late.” Without missing a beat, Ginny stripped, not being at all ashamed of herself, and hopped in the shower. “My pain salve for your calves is on your dresser as well as a pepper up potion,” she shouted over the noise.
“Thank you!” Hermione shouted back as she scrambled out of the bathroom. Darting into her room, she grabbed the potion and downed it as she pulled out her new matching, Slytherin green, bra and panties. With her undergarments on, she massaged the salve into her calves and shimmied into her black shiny jeans. Hermione threw on her burgundy sweater dress over her head, grabbed her socks and dashed into Harry’s room to get Ginny’s ankle boots. Twenty minutes later, they were entering the parlor at Malfoy Manor.
“Everything is going to be spectacular tonight!” Pansy squealed. Everyone had gathered in the dining room for a light lunch, knowing full well that there was going to be a lot of food tonight.
“What’s your favorite part about these balls?” Ginny asked her.
“Easily the attire,” she replied with a huge smile. “It gives everyone a chance to dress up and of course go shopping.”
“Of course,” Ginny laughed.
“What are you most excited about, Hermione?” Daphne asked.
“Honestly, I just can’t wait to see Draco.” Hermione said taking a drink from her butterbeer. “Four days is far to long.”
“Agreed. I can’t wait to see Ron,” Daphne sighed.
“Four days if nothing compared to nine months, but I still miss Harry.” Ginny added, looking at her plate. “Oh, well. They will be here in about an hour, and I’m sure their trip was successful.”
“Anyone know what this trip was about?” Hermione questioned, looking around the room at everyone. All of the avoided eye contact and no one answered.
The doors suddenly burst open and Narcissa glided in. “How was everything? Wonderful, I hope?”
“It was amazing Mrs. Malfoy,” said Theo quickly. Hermione had forgotten that he and Blaise were her until she had looked around the room for an answer. “Now that we are full, what would you like us to do?”
Hermione gave a frustrating huff at being ignored, but listened as Narcissa directed the six of them. “Theo, Blaise, please check the path from the portkey and apperation points to the front door. I would like the path to be lit by Christmas trees and candles on the ground.” The boys hurried off as Narcissa then turned to Pansy and Daphne. “Check on the ballroom, please. Make sure the chairs and tables are covered and wrinkle free. Also, make sure those trees are shining bright.”
“Yes, ma’am.” The girls left arm in arm.
“If you two could follow me, please.” Hermione and Ginny stood and followed Narcissa down the hall. When they reach a set of double doors, Narcissa turned to them again. “For many years we have had minimal decorations here at the Manor. But the room that was also decorated is one. Lucius always did it. Even though he tried to make it look festive, it never really did. I would like it if you two decorated it however you see fit. This is where we open presents.” Narcissa pushed the doors open to reveal the most amazing library Hermione had ever seen.
“Wow…” she breathed. From beside her, she heard a soft “incredible”. “You want us to decorate this whole room? Any particular way?”
“Yes. I would like to see how you both celebrated the holidays so could you please decorate it however you would like if it were from your childhood?”
“Sure,” Ginny said looking around the vast room.
“We can do that.” Hermione said nodding. “Do you have any decorations already? Or would you like us to transfigure some?”
“Well, I pulled these decorations out. They are what Lucius use to use. You can spruce them up if you would like, but this pile here,” Narcissa said pointing off to the right, indicating the decent sized pile of junk, “are things Draco and I don’t want or need so you can transform them to be festive.”
The girls said their thanks, and Narcissa left, letting the girls start to go through stuff. After looking at the old decorations, they moved onto the pile of clutter.
“I know you know what’s going on,” Hermione said, not looking at Ginny as she transformed some knick-knacks into ornaments. She heard Ginny sigh.
“It’s not my place to say.”
“Not your place? Ginny, we have never hid anything from each other. EVER. And you can’t tell me?” Hermione’s frustration was back full force. “Does everyone know?”
“I’m not sure.” Ginny replied quietly.
“Great. That’s just great.” Hermione said in a huff. She put down the tinsel and ornaments and started towards the door.
“Where are you going?”
“To the loo.” Hermione wrenched the door open and stormed out.
She only got turned around once, because of so many halls. She looked at herself while washing her hands. What are they keeping from me? She meandered through the halls again, deep in thought. Didn’t Draco and I just get through a nasty form of not communicating? He promised he wouldn’t keep anything from me again. What is he hiding?
She wasn’t paying the least bit of attention as to where she was going. She pulled herself from her thoughts long enough to glance around. Not knowing where she was, she started to panic. Opening the closest door to her, she tried to see if she could get a feel for where she was by looking at the windows.
Slowly, she walked into the pitch black room. “Lumos,” Hermione whispered. As soon as the light filled the room, all the color drained from her face, as she found herself in the middle of the Drawing Room.

Draco, Harry, and Ron landing outside the gates of the Manor after having helped Mr. and Mrs. Granger get settled into their suite at the Ritz. Kingsley had said he would pick them up before the ball, than left to see his family. Now they were walking towards the gates.
“Wow,” Harry said. “It looks amazing. You and your mother have done an amazing job.”
“I’ll say,” Ron agreed.
“I think she’s over compensating a little bit.” Draco said looking around. They were walking down the path looking at the simply decorated trees.
“Well, look who it is!” Draco, Harry, and Ron turned to see Blaise and Theo running towards them. “’Bout time you guys got here. The girls are going crazy without you guys.”
“Crazy?” Harry asked.
“What Blaise means is that they are being mopey and sad.” Theo said rolling his eyes.
“Well, best not to keep them waiting,” Ron said.
“Where are they?” Draco asked.
“Helping finish things inside.” Blaise said. “Don’t know where though.”
“Let’s go find them then.” Harry said leading the way forward.
“Let’s hope they are together,” Draco added quietly.
Upon entering the Manor, they were met by a whole host of people.
“Draco!” Narcissa said strolling into the room.
“Fine,” he said kissing his mother’s cheeks and giving her a hug. “Everything went well. They are at a hotel now. Kingsley will collect them before tonight. Where are the girls?”
“Narcissa, everything is in order,” Pansy said upon entering.
“Daphne!” Ron said running to her.
“Ron!” Daphne threw herself into his arms and covered his face in kisses. “I missed you so much,” she said between kisses.
“I missed you, too,” he replied spinning her around.
“Where’s Hermione and Ginny?” Draco asked.
“Making the library festive for tomorrow.” Narcissa said turning back to them.
The doors to the foyer burst open again as Ginny sprinted in. “Thank Merlin you guys are here,” she said upon seeing them. Everyone looked at her. “’Mione went to the loo about 30 minutes ago. When she didn’t return after 10 minutes, I went looking for her. She’s in a dark room and is hysterical. I can’t get through to her.”
“She’s in the Drawing Room!” Draco said horrified before everyone took off in that direction. Draco, Harry, and Ron in the lead. Once they reached the room, the three boys rushed inside while everyone else stopped in the doorway.
Draco immediately pulled her into his arms. She instantly started fighting to get away from him.
“No! No! No! Stay away from me!”
Draco instantly let her go, shocked.
“’Mione! It’s okay! It’s just us!” Harry said trying to get her to calm down. No matter how hard he tried, she wouldn’t let him or Ron near her either. As if she didn’t see them.
Draco quickly pulled himself out of shock. “Macey!” Draco shouted. “I need a Calming Draught now,” he said to the elf that had appeared. A second later, the elf was back with the potion. “Try to hold her down,” he said to the other two.
They continued to struggle for a few more moments before finally pining her to the ground. Draco quickly crawled to her head and poured the contents into her mouth. Slowly, she stopped thrashing around and Ron and Harry carefully let go of their hold.
Hermione sat up and looked around, spotting Ron first. “Ron?”
“It’s okay ‘Mione,” he said pulling her into a hug.
“We’re all here, ‘Mione,” Harry said.
She turned to him. “Harry?”
He brought her into a hug. “Everything is okay.”
“Are you really here?”
“Of course we are really here,” he said rubbing her back. “You’re forgetting about someone very important.” He pulled away from her and motioned towards Draco, who had yet to move.
He had been sitting there, to stunned to move, let alone say anything. Is this how bad it was at first? Will it always be like this? Will I ever be able to calm her down?
“Draco?” His eyes snapped to hers. “Draco?” She started again.
Instead of replying, he swiftly pulled her into his arms. As he held her tightly, she turned her head and started kissing his neck. “You’re really here.”
“Yes,” he replied. “Now let’s get you out of this room.”
LadyShire: Thank you! I hope you like this chapter just a little bit more. And we will see who will change and who won't during the ball. Pansy knew that she needed to step in because everyone has been so against purebloods interlacing their family lines with anything less and she knew that at least the people within Hogwarts having been changing. Stubborn old parents sometimes never will though lol. I'm glad I can be your escape from RL because this story is my escape from RL lol. I seriously hope that I can keep my streak of posting on time.
Slytherin-Goddess214: I'm so glad you started reading my story again. Every Sunday I am waiting for your update on your stories (secretly 1912 is still my favorite Dramione story). Take your time in catching up. It makes me happy that my story is close to the top of your list. I wanted to make Pansy a good person in this one even though she did try to turn over Harry to Volemort because for this story I was really going to unity in all aspects. My husband hates watching romantic movies of any sort lol. It just goes to show Draco's love for Hermione.
Thunderbird: Girl time is always important. I really wanted to show that Pansy wasn't just talk and two faced. She genuinly likes Hermione and even if she didn't they would be stuck together because of Draco being with Hermione and Daphne being with Ron.
RL will always have their ups and downs. My is just in a down right now. Things are kind of looking up though so that's a plus.
I am going to try to start posting on there soon. I just have to set everything up on my own computer instead of my work computer. As I'm sure you saw at the beginning of the chapter that I took your advice and was able to set up an account on AO3 and have started reading some things on there. Once I can figure out the site I will start posting on there as well. Feedback is always the best thing and if I can get more of it on there than that might be where I post more often.
