Last Time:
The goblin that ran in stopped and looked from Vesta to the growing tree in the roof cell and sneered, “We have an issue. I might have blown up a student.”

“Bloodtear … you were only meant to confirm that an illegal exorcism took place. How could that possibly result in a death?” Goresnare asked in complete disbelief.
The goblin scoffed, “That’s not the right word. When I followed the lotus map and performed the scanning spells screams came from down in the Great Hall. One student started freaking out and suddenly collapsed. My team found the medi-witch strangely unsure of what to do. My team took the … boy, and said we’d get him medical attention.”
Goresnare tapped a claw against his slim glasses, “What is the real issue?” Instead of answering Bloodtear led to the hall where the crumbled remains of a golem were laid on the floor. “The medi-witch and professors were panicking, you say?” Bloodtear nodded, a smirk on his face. “You sure they couldn’t see this?”
“I’m sure. The other students were, of course, freaked out because the professors didn’t seem to know what to do. Shall I search for the real boy?” Bloodtear asked as he plucked a hair from the crumbed clay golem.
“It would be the responsible thing, as representatives of Gringotts, to do. If you happen to be led to Dumbledore’s office then check everything.” Goresnare said with a devious smile.

Harry rested on his bed just trying to recover, but his mind wouldn’t let him. Of course, it didn’t help that they were so close to putting Dumbledore away and his shoulder was aching. Plus, he was wondering about that golem he saw Dumbledore release into the school.
“Can’t sleep?” Tom asked as he came in with Severus and Lucius. Severus had a plate of food with him and he set it down on the side table.
“Not even a bloody wink.” Harry muttered as he carefully sat up.
‘I’m not surprised. I find relaxing tricky with Sirius Black here.” Severus said as a half hearted joke and was pleased to hear Harry give an amused chuckle. “You should eat something. It’ll, at least, distract you.”
Harry raised an eyebrow as Severus sat next to him, “Distract from what-“ he winced as Severus started unwrapping the bandages. “I can tell that it hasn’t healed.” He muttered as he took a buttered roll from the plate.
Lucius frowned when he saw the concerned look on the potion master’s face, “Really?” He asked as he moved onto the bed. “Dear Merlin, all that ointment did nothing.”
“What?” Tom gasped as he too crawled onto the bed behind a shirtless Harry. The handprint was still carved into his back and surrounded by an ominous black bruise. “It looks better than when he first got here, but … this just isn’t normal. Was there anything odd about the rune?”
The Lord of the Malfoy family thought back, “No. It was just a rune to hide the loyalty spell he put on Harry. I think the dead magic was stuck between the spell and runes, but why this happened to Harry instead of Remus isn’t clear.”
Harry rolled his eyes as his lovers fussed over his back, “It sounded like Remus didn’t have a rune and he’s a dark creature so it might be difficult for him. Also my magic may be a bit sensitive after years of not having dead magic near it.” He said pointedly and took a bite of the buttery roll.
“You did have dead magic in you once before.” Lucius muttered as he glanced at Tom who looked a little embarrassed. “It might be your magic overreacted, but the flesh should still heal.”
After taking another bite of his buttered roll he hummed and swallowed after a few chews, “I think Nagini might’ve had a point with the venom comment. It could’ve damaged the tissue just like venom would or some leaked into my bloodstream before Vesta could get it. Just a little can cause problems, but I bet neither Vesta or a whomping willow can get it if it’s deep in the flesh. Since I have no clue how to drain it like Dumbledore does we need something else and I think a purification spell might work.” Hesaid with a slight smirk.
Tom’s eyes widened, “That would work … I can’t remember them right off. There were a lot.” He blinked as Harry summoned a book, which was perched on Harry’s bedroom shelf, to his hand and gave it to Tom. In an instant Tom’s eyes widened, “This … is very powerful, but could work …” Tom let his sentence trail off making Severus and Lucius very curious.
“What is-“ Severus gaped when he leaned over to look at the book in Tom’s hands. “It’s definitely worth a try …”
Lucius blushed, “That’s from Myrtle’s collection! I hid those behind runes for protection. How did you get that?!”
The green eyed wizard shrugged as he finished his bun, “Vesta slipped through your runes … you forgot to mix those runes with someone else’s magic so we could get in easily. I think the third one, if I recall correctly, is the one we’d need.”
“Why didn’t you say anything?” Lucius pouted clearly embarrassed that he slipped up. Despite his protest he couldn’t help but peek at the ritual description. “Oh my. Yes, we should definitely try that … I mean if it helps it’s worth it, right?” He commented trying not to sound too interested in what he saw.
Harry’s lip twitched in amusement, “Exactly, but it will have to wait because the whole ritual is 3 hours long and I doubt the goblins will wait that long.”

Hermione couldn’t believe what happened. One second she was trying to avoid Ron’s food spittle due to his sloppy table manners and the next second she’s watching Ron choke right before collapsing to the ground in a heap of rubble. The most baffling thing was that the Gringotts goblins just happen to be there to clean up the mess.
She sat on a bench in a basically empty hall to think through her thoughts, “The professors didn’t seem to realize what happened.” She mused out loud and shivered as she recalled the clay fragments that were once her red haired accomplice. “This explains why Ron was suddenly feeling so good, but acting so weird … but where’s the real Ron and who made the golem?”
The witch leaned back on the bench and kept thinking. One of the things that bothered her was the presence of the goblins. Why would they even be at Hogwarts? Why did the goblins rush the busted golem away?
“Unless … the golem was theirs!” Hermione exclaimed proving only that she was great at jumping to conclusions. “The headmaster has mentioned having trouble with Gringotts ever since the Malfoys and Blacks adopted Harry. They must be working with the dark wizards in order to hurt the headmaster and they must’ve tricked Ron, it’d be easy after all, and used a golem of him to spy. Some sort of magic probably broke the golem. I have to lock off the headmaster’s lab and contact him.” She said as she rushed towards Dumbledore’s office.
With great care she managed to move fast and avoid attracting the attention of the ohther students. However, as she said the password to get into Dumbledore’s office she thought she heard the goblins talking to Minerva McGonagall. Granted, she could hear what they were saying, but she knew she had to move fast. As fast as she could she raced into the office and dropped the sorting hat’s curtains so the enchanted garment couldn’t see her go into the potion lab.
“I doubt there’s much in here that’ll need to be hidden, but Merlin knows goblins will find the tiniest thing and use it against the headmaster. I can’t allow that.” Hermione said and started collapsing the shelves into small magical boxes that she could easily take with her. She didn’t even give any of the odd or dark titles a second thought. After all, the headmaster wouldn’t actually use dark magic, right? Why worry?
For a second she stopped and closed the hidden door when she realized anyone could simply walk in. Of course, she went right back to hiding the other things. Some were just hidden in the room and the rest were small enough to be tucked away into her pockets. Soon all the books, potions and artifacts were hidden except for one last large thing. That last coffin shaped thing was under a sheet and didn’t seem to have an easy rune or trigger like the others. It also wouldn’t shrink when she cast a spell on it.
“What do I do with you?” Hermione muttered as she yanked the sheet aside or, at least, she tried to. With an annoyed sigh she removed the sticking charm that kept the sheet in place, but she instantly regretted doing that. “Bloody hell …”
The coffin shaped box that was revealed after the sheet was moved aside had a clear window. The window was covered in etched runes and took up half of the lid, but was clear enough to show what, or who., was inside. However, she wasn’t sure if she believed what she saw. If she did that would mean it was a very pale limp Ron Weasley, with a slight purple tinge to the whites of his wide open eyes, laying in the coffin.
“Don’t be an idiot, Ron. Get up.” Hermione snapped only to get nothing from those wide eyes. “Wake up.” She exclaimed and added a kick for good measure, which was her mistake.
“Ms. Granger! What are you-... oh dear Merlin.” Hermione jumped in surprise when she heard Professor McGonagall behind her and turned to see the professor clutching her chest in horror. “What have you done?”
Hermione blinked in confusion before realization hit her, “I didn’t do anything. Ron won’t get out of the box.” She said and finally looked down to see the goblins rushing towards the box. “This is because of the goblins. They did something to Ron to get the headmaster in trouble!”
Bloodtear sneered at the young witch as his team of goblins looked around the room especially the coffin, “Gringotts doesn’t get involved with wizards or witches unless they intrude on a client and we certainly don’t ever need to do …” the goblin looked at Ron, “something this gruesome. If you don’t believe us come with us and stand with Albus Dumbledore.” He said hoping the foolish young witch will only trip the older wizard up.
“Of course I will.” Hermione said haughtily.

In the dark corner of a room in Gringotts a rat watched and waited. Soon people began entering. It all started with the ministry Aurors strutting in and meeting with a team of goblins. After a tense exchange Hermione was brought in. Of course , Gringotts made the annoyed witch hand her wand over before she could state her case. The shocked rat watched as the young witch actually threw her wand at them and started blaming Gringotts for something.
“The golem was their doing! They probably put Ron in a deep sleep and kidnapped him!” Hermione said, trying desperately to put all the blame on the goblins.
One Auror frowned nervously, “umm they just all vowed and provided reports proving otherwise. Also how could they put a golem or hide the body in that hidden room without a powerful wizard like Albus Dumbledore knowing?”
Hermione didn’t even consider that point, “I bet if the Slytherins were investigated you’d find connections between them, Gringotts and that attack on Harry, which they did.” She said and jumped as the wall next to her, triggered by a knock from a certain hidden rat, opened up to reveal all the Slytherin students, Harry, Professor Quirinus and a couple other people.
Of course, that meant Vincent and Draco were there too. Both of them were seated because of their injuries. After all, Vincent only just had a skele-gro and Draco, who recovered his sight in his left eye, still had trouble getting around. At least, that made sense. The young witch had no clue who the two men, which were Sirius and Remus, or why Professor Quirinus was there.
Goresnare sneered, “All of these people vowed and even provided memories that proved they never attacked anyone … can you do the same, Albus Dumbledore?”
Hermione blinked and turned around to see the headmaster coming into the room after giving the goblins his wand just like she did, “Headmaster! That’s it! Just vow and we can clear this up!” She exclaimed excitedly.
Dumbledore slowly scanned the people in the room as if seeking a weak link among them, “and what is this exactly?” He asked in a strangely cold tone.
Goresnare pointed to the group of students, “Let’s start with those who were accused of attacking one Harry Potter. All proved they weren’t in the region-“
“Our region was under an acromantula!” Vincent hissed through his discomfort.
Remus winced as he saw Vincent attempt to adjust his leg, “Is it necessary for him to be here? He should be resting.” He said purely out of concern for the young wizard, but he accidentally locked eyes with Dumbledore and instantly regretted it. He never felt such a cold heartless stare like this before.
One Auror looked at Remus, “You’re a werewolf-“
“Don’t even suggest it.” Goresnare said quickly, cutting the ministry employee off. “Mr. Lupin’s only crime is protecting Harry Potter from the real attackers, which according to an in depth analysis off Lord Potter’s memory, were actually well made golems. Mr. Lupin and the Slytherin students were only unfortunate victims of a frame up. One that could’ve trapped them all in a massive acromantula nest,”
Quirinus noticed Dumbledore looking at him and decided to keep playing his role, “I d-don’t know w-why I’m in t-this room. I j-just reported that the g-ghost of m-my grandmother’s sister, Myrtle, w-went missing and I lost c-contact with my grandmother too. I was w-worried.” He said innocently and took pleasure in the way Dumbledore’s jaw clenched.
“I see.” Dumbledore pressed out sounding strained. The cold eyes landed on Sirius. “You shouldn’t be-“
“Be what? Near people? Close to Harry?” Sirius scoffed, “Unlike you some people actually got me the help I needed so I can be wherever I want .. when I’m wanted that is.” He muttered.
That sad comment made Dumbledore’s sharp eyes zip straight to Harry who was quiet, and yet, very tense. “Harry, what is your opinion?”
“Does it matter? … I’m sorry, headmaster. I was told to not get involved. Apparently, my memories were all I can contribute.” Harry said sharply, pretending to glare at Goresnare. Dumbledore seemed pleased by the bitter response. It was enough for him to believe his dead magic and loyalty spell were still in place.
Hermione smiled, “It’s ok, Harry. The headmaster only has to vow and it’s done.” She said looking up expectantly at the old wizard, but he said nothing. As the silence continued her smile faltered. “You didn’t kill anyone, headmaster.” She commented though her confidence slowly crumbled over the following moments of silence.
Finally Dumbledore looked down at Hermione, “You always annoyed me.”
No one expected the old wizard to say that, but what happened next horrified everyone. Dumbledore, without a wand, cast a cutting curse effectively carving a deep wound across a very shocked Hermione’s chest. If it wasn’t for the quick thinking goblins present Hermione would’ve hit the stone floor. However, even though they already started treatment it didn’t look promising.
As for Dumbledore, the one person Peter refused to lose sight of, he just stood there. Those old eyes just watched the blood pooling on the floor. Not his student. Not the goblins trying to save her. He never even glanced at the horrified people in the room. Just stared at the blood with a twinkle in his eyes. That smug twinkle didn’t even falter when a team of goblins came in and surrounded him.
Goresnare looked up from the dying witch and was pleased to see that more goblins charged in and spelled restraints onto Dumbledore, “I take it you confess to-“
“Yes and throw in line theft. I stole money from Potter.” Dumbledore admitted casually. “I’d like to wave my right to a trial.”
The goblin’s eyes narrowed, “You realize that means-“
“That I’ll be punished by the goblin courts after a couple nights in jail. Yes, yes. Now let’s get this over with.” Dumbledore said uncaringly.
A very unnerved Peter started to follow Dumbledore who was guided out of the room, but paused for a moment to glance back at Hermione. Much to his relief the wound didn’t look as bad, the blood was gone and she was not in danger. Dumbledore never saw the life suddenly appear in her eyes. The old wizard also never saw a tiny black fox standing near Hermione. Of course, Peter found that amusing as he bounded after the goblins.
That rat watched from the shadows as Dumbledore was locked away in a very unique prison cell. From the wooden bars of the door to the wooden cot were strange webs. It was like someone planted seeds in the wall and the plants formed a secured bed frame and prison bars.
“You’ll be the first in our new cells.” Goresnare commented as the wooden bars bent out of the way to let its prisoner inside before closing Dumbledore in.
Dumbledore eyed the bars, “An honor … is this devil’s snare?” He asked, showing more interest in the plants than anything else so far.
Goresnare hummed as if agreeing, “A new species we wanted to use.” He said with a sneer as he left with his fellow goblins. When he left the prison where Dumbledore was finally locked away he noticed the rat. “I assume you wanted to confirm that he was locked up.”
The rat shifted into his semi-human form, “Can you blame us for double checking? I should pass this on, but first,” he pulled a piece of paper out of his pocket and handed it to Goresnare. “Can Gringotts complete this before the execution?”
“Easily.” Goresnare said, smirking at the message.
Peter grinned, “Perfect. It’ll be a nice surprise.” He said before bidding the goblins farewell and darting towards a floo. Once at the Malfoy manor he went down to the hidden cells where he found Tom and all those who weren’t at Gringotts. “He’s in the cell and rather smug about it.”
Bellatrix scoffed as she turned to look at the glass dome in the middle of the room, “Of course he is. He thinks he’s immortal. Soon it’ll be over for him.” She said smirking at the dome that covered a sword, a snitch, a necklace and a ring.
Tom nodded seriously, “but not until he’s actually dead.” He said warning them to stay alert until all of Dumbledore was gone.
All those present watched as Tom unleashed a powerful fire spell on the dome. The horcruxes actually screamed as the fire consumed them and destroyed them ...
