Hey guys! Sorry it took a little longer with chapter. I wanted to get a lot into it so it is a little bit longer, but it does have some of what everyone has been asking for. It's got serious conversation, some lemons, what I think is a decent speech from Draco, and of course a reunion that has been coming. The next chapter will also be a bit longer as I'm not sure if it's going to be a play by play like all my other chapters or if it will just have snipits or a little bit of both. Please keep those reviews coming and I will keep giving you chapters! I love all of you!
After Draco had carried Hermione back to the library, bridal style, everyone sat there and conversed while Hermione and Ginny finished decorating.
Hermione snuck a glance back to where Draco sat, reading. They hadn’t talked much since they entered the library an hour and a half ago. Hermione studied him for a moment longer and noticed his eyes weren’t moving. As if sensing her gaze, he looked up at her. There was something in his expression she couldn’t quite place.
“Remorse and sorrow,” Ginny said coming up behind her.
“Huh?”
“It’s the look Draco has.” Ginny replied also observing Draco. “I’ve seen it many times before. He’s remembering that night, too. The sorrow behind those eyes is him thinking that he will never be able to help you through this.” Hermione turned to her about to ask why he would think that, but Ginny continued. “You pushed away from him. He understands that you didn’t know it was him, but that probably just made him think that he can’t help you.”
“How do I fix this?”
“It’s going to take time and a lot of communication.” Hermione smiled and hugged Ginny. “Anyway, I think we are done”
Hermione and Ginny walked to the center of the room and turned around to look at everything. “We did good.”
“It looks fantastic,” Narcissa said in awe as she entered the library. “Absolutely beautiful.”
“Thanks,” the girls said with huge smiles plastered on their faces.
Everyone admired the room a little longer before splitting off to get ready. Blaise, to his room at the Manor, Pansy and Theo to Pansy’s house, Narcissa to her room, and Harry, Ron, Ginny, and Daphne to Grimmauld.
“I should probably freshen up as well,” Draco said, not meeting Hermione’s eyes.
“Of course,” Hermione said reaching for his hand. “Can I keep you company?”
“Sure.” Sure? That’s all? Draco took her hand and lead her through the Manor to his room without a word.
“Draco?” Still nothing.
Upon entering, he let go of her hand and made his way towards the bathroom.
“Draco?” She tried again.
“You’re welcome to look around. My bookshelf is over there if you would like to read.” With that said, he shut the bathroom door.
Hermione let out an exasperating sigh and made her way to the bathroom door. Perfectly imperfect, she thought as she waiting for the shower to turn on.
After it had, she slowly opened the door and quietly stepped inside. Through the fog, she saw that Draco, under the cascading rain, had his hands on the wall facing away from her with his head bent. She undressed and carefully stepped in, wrapping her arms around his waist and laying her forehead between his shoulder blades. He had tensed under her touch at first, but it was slowly relaxing. Together they stood there, not saying anything, until Hermione spoke first.
“Thank you,” she said loud enough for him to hear, “for getting a Calming Draught in me. I’m sorry I pushed you away.”
Draco raised his head and turned to face her, staying in her embrace. “What happened that landed you in there?”
Hermione recapped the argument she and Ginny had. “I was mad that everyone else knows where you went and what you were doing. I was left out, even though you said you wouldn’t keep things from me anymore.”
Draco sighed and drew his arms around her. “I know. I will tell you everything, but not right now.” Hermione looked at him with hurt in her eyes. “I will tell you everything later tonight. I promise.”
“Okay,” she said quietly. “I’m glad your home, though.”
“Me too.” Draco pulled her close. It was a few moments before he spoke again. “Was it always this bad?”
She knew what he was talking about but didn’t say anything. “Was what always this bad?”
“Your dreams.”
Hermione signed. “At the beginning it was. Every day it gets better, especially with you being with me.”
“Will I ever be able to help you?” Draco asked quietly.
Hermione pulled away from him slightly so she could see his eyes. “You do help Draco, so much. Just sleeping next to you causes me to relax. And today-“ Draco snorted, but she pressed on. “Today you didn’t freeze. You got me the Calming Draught even though I pushed you away. I must admit, though, it wasn’t how I wanted to greet you.” Hermione let go of him and moved to grab his shampoo.
“How did you want to greet me?”
Hands all lathered up, she started trying to massage it into his scalp. He pushed a tile and water started coming out of the walls instead. As she worked his hair, she said, “I was hoping to run to you and jump into your arms. I pictured you spinning me around while I smothered your face with kisses. Okay, rinse.”
Draco pushed another tile causing water to cascade from the ceiling again. As he rinsed his hair, Hermione rinsed her hands then moved for his body wash.
“Your turn,” he said as she put the body wash on his scrubby.
“I showered this morning.” Before she could turn around to face him, he was behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist.
“I’m sorry I’ve been distant since I got back.” He stated kissing her neck behind her ear. Eagerly, she tilted her head, giving him better access.
“I think you should apologize with a kiss since I haven’t gotten one yet.” She felt him smile against her skin before turning her to face him. He continued placing feather light kisses over her face. When she finally gave in and let out a moan, he captured her mouth, quickly taking dominance.
Slowly, she brought her hands up to his chest and started with small circles, washing his pecks. She then made her way up his collar bone, over his shoulders and down his arms. Once completed, Hermione broke the kiss and moved to his back. When she finished, she moved to his hips and back around to his front so she could finish. Minutes passed as she continued over his stomach.
“If you continue to wash my stomach, I won’t have any skin left.” Draco chuckled, as he took the scrubby away from her. Once he put it away, he brought his hands back to her hips, his fingers moving towards her entrance. Slowly, he inserted his middle finger into her slick folds and pumped in and out a few times before pulling out completely and bringing his finger to his mouth, licking it clean. “Mmm, I sure have missed this taste.”
Hermione smiled up at him. “As much as I would love to give you your fill of it, we have already beem in here for thirty minutes.” She had her arms around his neck, still, while his were around her waist and on her arse.
“Hmm,” he said gripping her arse harder. “Guess that means we can’t take our time.”
Without any warning, he lifted her up and trapped her against the wall. Instantly she linked her legs with her entrance teasing his hard red tip. Hermione tightened her grip with her legs, pushing him inside her.
Both moaned with satisfaction once he was completely shealthed. Draco captured Hermione’s lips and began thrusting quickly, hitting her sweet spot every time.
“Oh, gods, I’m so close, Draco,” she moaned into his shoulder.
“Same here love.”
“Oh, sweet Merlin, Draco. Don’t stop. Right there. Oh, yes…yes…fuck…please…so close…” Draco thrusted once, twice, thrice more before she came undone. “Oh, goodness,” she whispered. “I love you so much, Draco Malfoy.” He came explosively inside her.
“I love you, too.” After a few moments of them resting their foreheads together, Draco set her down, letting himself fall limply out of her. “I missed you, love.”
She smiled up at him. “I missed you, too. I’m glad your home.”
“Oi! Hurry up in there!” Blaise hollered. “Everyone will be arriving within the hour. Pansy, Daphne, and Ginny are already here with the boys!”
Draco rolled his eyes. “I hope this isn’t the only time we have to ourselves during this break.”
“I highly doubt it will be,” Hermione said stepping out of the shower behind Draco.
As he draped a fluffy white towel around her shoulders, he pressed against her, letting her feel his semi-hard on. “Good because it’s already going to be hard enough to keep my hands off you tonight.” with a quick kiss, he moved to put on his own towel.
After a couple quick waves of her wand, Hermione’s legs were smooth and soft and she put on her matching undergarments.
Draco had left a few moments before, with his towel hung low around his waist, to start gathering his robes. “What the actual fuck?! Blaise, we heard you. That does NOT mean everyone can gather in my bedroom!”
“Oh, Draco dear,” Pansy said. Hermione could hear Pansy’s eyes roll and snickered. “Ginny has Hermione’s gown for tonight, and we are helping her with her hair and make-up.”
“Why are you so infuriating? At least leave while we get dressed!”
“Why? So you can have a romp that lasts twenty minutes and makes us late?” Daphne speculated.
Hermione found a bathrobe and threw it over her and tied it shut before exiting the bathroom and walking up behind Draco. As she put her arms around his waist, she said, “What makes you think it’ll only last twenty minutes? We’ve gone for an hour, at least, just last week, right Draco?”
Draco turned to her smiling broadly. “Yes, love, you’re right.” Hermione saw, out of the corner of her eye, everyone either had their fingers in their ears, rolling their eyes, or was trying to get the images out of their mind.
Hermione pulled out her wand and summoned her dress. “Right,” she stated. “Since you guys aren’t going to leave, Draco and I will dress in the closet. Have to match now, don’t we?”
Hermione let go of him and made her way to the en suite closet, Draco following right behind. “Oh,” she said turning back to the group, “and if any of you – Blaise in particular – knocks on the door, we will stay inside for an extra five minutes, per knock.”
No one dared knock, and Hermione and Draco were able to dress quickly. As Hermione went to leave, Draco held her back.
“Wait,” he said taking her hand and turning her back to him. “I didn’t want to do this with an audience.” He grabbed the box he had set on the dresser when he entered behind Hermione. “I wanted to at least get you something for Christmas. I know you have the few things my mother and I have already given you, but I want you to be able to wear something all the time.” He opened the box and placed the charm bracelet on her wrist. “I wasn’t sure which charms to get so I got ones that represent places I want to take you.”
“Draco, it’s absolutely beautiful.” Hermione twisted it on her wrist so she could see all the charms. The Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, The Colosseum, and the Opera House in Sydney were just a few.
“I’m glad you like it, Merry Christmas.” Draco pulled her close and gave her a satisfying kiss. They walked hand in hand out of the closet.
Ginny, Pansy, and Daphne set to work and within ten minutes, Hermione was ready.
“Give us just a few more minutes guys.” Hermione said as she watched Draco straightening his forest green robes. “Ginny can you bring me the box that is in my pants pocket please?”
Hermione stood and straightened the wrinkles out of her one sleeved, dark green dress. It hugged her in all the right places and didn’t have an insane amount of sparkle. There was a simple amount of rhinestones around all around the edges. There was no slit this time, but there was a small train.
Her make-up was done with neutral colors that accented her eyes and hair. Instead of having all her hair up, the curls had been refined and pinned to the left side of her head, as her sleeve was on the right.
Ginny came out of the bathroom with a smile and box in hand. “Okay guys,” she said handing Hermione the box. “We will meet you down there.”
After Ginny shooed everyone out of the room, Hermione walked over to Draco. “I got you a little something for Christmas, too.” She handed him the box and watched the grin spread across his face.
“ ‘True love is perfectly imperfect’,” he read. It’s wonderful,” he added as he opened the watch.
“I’ve never seen you wear a watch so I thought you would like it.” Hermione said smugly.
“You’re wrong,” he said with a smile. Before her face could fall he added, “I love it!” Draco picked Hermione up and spun her around, kissing her. When he set her down, he attached the pocket watch to a button and placed it in his inside robe pocket. “We should probably head down.”
“I suppose you’re right,” Hermione said with a sigh. Together they linked arms and made their way downstairs.
As Blaise had predicted, people had already shown up. Together they mingled, always touching. After probably thirty minutes of light talk with muggleborns, their parents, and popular pureblood families as well as hors d’oeuvres, everyone began to take their seats.
Hermione looked around her table. She and Draco had been placed with Narcissa, Harry, Ginny, Mr. and Mrs. Greengrass, and some elder wizard she didn’t know. Narcissa stood on the stage at the other end of the dancefloor. She gave a quick speech about how tonight was to honor all muggleborns and their families. Once she sat down, food appeared in front of everyone.
Everyone ate and chatted away happily as the wine flowed freely. Draco had stopped after his second, encouraging Hermione to do the same, and switched to water. Once it seemed like everyone had their fill, Draco made his way to the podium on stage.
“Good evening, everyone. I’m glad you all were able to attend tonight’s ball. For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Draco Malfoy. I’m sure my name is at least familiar to the parents of the muggleborns because for at least six years, I tormented anyone who, as I was taught to believe, were less than me.
“Believe it or not, but I actually dropped those beliefs a few years ago, and I am really glad I did.” Draco looked around the room. First he spotted Hermione and gave her a warm smile. The he spotted her parents and smiled to them as well. “I have had the pleasure of spending the last four days with an amazing muggle couple. They taught me a lot. Aside from a muggle card game called Blackjack – that I failed spectacularly at –“ Draco smiled and received a few chuckles, “they taught that true love doesn’t come by finding the perfect person, but by learning to see an imperfect person perfectly.
“As many of you know, I am far from perfect. From tormenting fellow peers to being forced to side with the Dark Lord, my past has been riddled with mistakes. Mistakes that I can’t take back, but can definitely learn from. I have actually been lucky enough to earn the love of someone I have fancied for a few years now, because she was able to see past my imperfections and give me a chance. Even though we all try, none of us are perfect.
“This couple that I was with also brought to my attention that even though I thought I didn’t care about what everyone else thought of me, it turns out that I do. I know that it will take a lot of time and a lot of patience, but I am prepared to do whatever it takes to show everyone here that I have changed for better. Lately I have been doing some research, and found that without muggleborns, the purebloods wouldn’t exist. The first witches and wizards were conceived by muggles. Therefore, we owe muggleborns more than what my mother and I are giving tonight.
“Tonight, the muggles who have had and raised muggleborn witches and wizards will be compensated every last pound they have spent putting their child or children though schooling at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, because everyone knows that it is pretty expensive.”
Draco watched, with a smile on his face, everyone stand to applaud. Someone off to his left handed him a glass of wine. He raised it to toast. “To muggles and muggleborns alike!” “Here, here!” Everyone shouted in agreement. “And now we dance!”

Hermione turned to Ginny as everyone else made their way to the dance floor.
“You looked troubled.” Ginny said.
“I’m a little confused. That line he said about true love. I only told him that this morning,” Hermione speculated. Before she could say much more, Draco strolled up. “I told you that saying about true love this morning. Who else told you?”
Instead of answering, Draco set down his glass and motioned to someone behind her.
Slowly turning around to see who he was looking at, she saw for the first time in a year and a half, her parents walking toward her with smiles on their faces and tears in their eyes. Overcome with emotion, Hermione sank to a crouch, hands over her face, and crying more than she had her whole life.
Two sets of arms engulfed her as she heard her mother say, “Shh, baby girl. It’s okay. We are here now and we love you more than ever.”
Sage of Discord: LOL. I hope this is good for you. It's not much of a reunion but there will be a lot more conversation in the next. I have to keep my readers wanting more don't I? LOL anyways I hope you like this chpater. :D
LadyShire: I'm glad you liked this chapter. It was difficult to write because I wasn't sure how I wanted to go about the end. All I knew was that Hermione needed to go into the room at least once so she could overcome the nightmare. I have a plan for the room but I'm not sure when it will come into play yet. I'm sorry about everything that you have been through. I'm glad you have a Draco in your life to help you through it all. It's hard to find a good, caring man that will dote on you (I can relate as well). When my idea for the room comes into play, I hope you will like it. Hermione also explained in this chapter that Draco does already help her. More than he knows.
Thunderbird: Thanks. This chapter took me a while because I wanted to put everything in it or at least parts of everything. I think they have reach the point of going deeper and really developing their relationship.
My plan was one way and my mind went a different when writing it. I hope you liked how I wanted their reunion to go. Luckily Hermione and Draco were able to make it up to each other lol. I figured it was time for some smut. Once she had the Calming Draught in her, she was able to come back to the present. Like I told LadyShire, he helps in more ways than he knows, and Hermione is determined to prove it to him.
As for her parents, is that soon enough? LOL. There will be more of the in the next chapter.
I've been looking into AO3 and there is a lot! It's a little overwhelming and a little harder to get to the stories that catch my interest. But it's definietely a site I have bookmarked. I'm lucky you are reading my story because I know your love for Drarry. At some point I want to start writing some Drarry, but that's taking me a little bit longer. I think I will start on a story once this one is completely done first. I've had some ideas but nothing that I've put down on paper yet. If/when I post on there I will make sure to give you my name and story title so it will be easier to find.
