Blaise glanced at the stack of rugs curiously. He picked the top one up and gave the one right underneath it a critical eye. “Darling,” he said, “I think this one would go wonderfully with the new bedding you found. What do you think?”
Narcissa wasn’t listening to him, however. She was gazing nervously out the window. “We should leave,” she commented softly.
“Do you not like this store?” he asked, glancing up at her.
The older woman shook her head and turned away from the window. “Not the store,” she scoffed. “I mean the country. We should go to the mainland. Perhaps Paris. Or Berlin. Or, better yet, let’s go to India. I haven’t been to India in years. ”
“Why on Earth would you want to go to India?” Blaise huffed. “We have everything we need here in Wiltshire. There’s no need…”
“He’s going to find it, Blaise,” she interrupted. “He’s going to find the secret room and he’s going to find them. ”
“Don’t be ridiculous, Cissy,” Blaise scolded. “The only one with any brains in the Golden Trio is safely hidden from Potter’s eyes. ”
“From yours, too,” Narcissa pointed out. “The Dark Lord made the same mistake you’re making now. Like you, he underestimated Mr. Potter and his friends. Now look where the Dark Lord is.”
“Cissy, the Dark Lord is dead. ”
“Exactly!” Narcissa breathed. “And we will be, too, if we don’t flee!”
“You’re being paranoid,” the dark Italian said as he approached his wife-to-be. He gently touched her cheek with the back of his hand. “Now, why don’t you look at this rug and tell me what you think of it, hmm? Let me worry about Harry Potter and his idiot sidekick. ”
The door to the shop opened, the bell on top of the door jingled. “And Hermione Granger?” Narcissa asked in a hushed voice.
“Is here,” said a voice coming from the direction of the shop’s door.

Ginny heard a knock at the front door and glanced up from her book. She gave a worried look towards Andromeda before gently closing her book and putting it down. “I’ll be right back,” she assured the older woman, though whether Andromeda understood her was undetermined.
Not that it mattered. Ginny knew the woman would be right there when the Gryffindor returned. With one last look, Ginny quit the small bedroom and walked down the stairs to the foyer where she answered the door.
Her eyes widened in surprise as she saw Viktor Krum standing in the doorway. “Krum?” she gasped. “Wh… What are you doing here?”
Viktor straightened his cloak. “I am looking for Harry Potter. Is he here?”
“I’m sorry, but no,” the ginger-haired girl answered. “He won’t be back for at least another hour or so. Is there anything I can help you with?”
The Bulgarian shook his head. “I must see Harry Potter,” he urged. “It’s an emergency…” He glanced down at his hands for a moment and whispered to himself, “What did she say to say…?” He looked back at Ginny. “I’ve found Hermione Granger!”

Harry glanced at his godfather uncomfortably. “So… uh… How have you been?” he asked, tapping his finger lightly on the desktop.
“You mean aside from the raging hunger, desire to leave this place, and the realization that I might die?” Sirius questioned.
The bespectacled man looked contrite. “Sorry. ”
Sirius just shrugged. “I suppose it’s not too bad,” he answered. “At first, I think we were all a bit… What’s the word... repulsed? But we’ve gotten used to it. It’s really not so bad once you get over the idea that you have to live with a naked Snape every day. ”
“Have you been able to find any clothing at all? Sheets or towels, perhaps?” Harry asked.
“We had some towels when we first came here, but Zabini threatened to take them away if we continued to use them to cover our nudity,” Remus said, moving to sit on the couch. “Since then, we’ve only used the towels to dry ourselves with. ”
“Why, Potter? Are you uncomfortable with seeing us naked?” Draco taunted. “Must be a bit alluring, huh? What you’ve always dreamed of isn’t it? Five naked guys on the telly screen. Perhaps you’re hoping to see some action?”
Harry rolled his eyes and gave the Slytherin a bored look. “Malfoy, trust me when I say: you are not my type. Nor is the idea of seeing my godfather and his best friend naked particularly appealing. Also, and my apologies for the offense, Professor Snape, I have no desire to see any of my former teachers in the nude.”
Draco smirked and glanced at his father. “And not a word about you, Father. Do you think…?”
“That’s enough, Draco,” Lucius scolded. “Mr. Potter is here to help us, and he doesn’t need any of your childish taunting. ”
“But he’s not here, Father. He’s there. Somewhere in our home. He doesn’t even know where we are and I doubt Weasel-breath will find…”
“I think I found something!” Ron shouted, running into the control room.
In his hands was a thick leather book filled with parchments. He handed it to Harry. “I’m not sure what I found, exactly, but it certainly proves Zabini is mad,” he explained. “The entire book is filled with crazy writings about insane plans. ”
Harry opened the book and flipped through it. As he skimmed the pages, his eyes widened in alarm; the men on the other side of the camera did not miss his expression.
“Harry, what’s going on?” Remus asked, concerned.
The bespectacled man glanced at his best friend. “We have to find Hermione,” he said.
“Why? What’s wrong?” Draco squeaked in panic.
Harry showed a certain page to Ron and the red head shook his head in disbelief.
“Potter!” Snape shouted, drawing the boys’ attention from the book. “What in Merlin’s name have you found?”
Harry blinked, and then sighed. “Hermione’s in danger. Ron and I must find her. Now. ”

“Hermione Granger,” Blaise said in a singsong voice as he stepped in front of Narcissa.
Hermione leveled her wand at the wizard. “Do not move another step, Zabini,” she warned, her eyes narrowed.
Blaise raised an eyebrow, but, otherwise, did not move. For a moment, the Slytherin just stared at the Gryffindor in amusement. Finally, he said, “I find it very interesting that you managed to get off the property, Granger. I find if even more interesting that you left your lovers behind. Were they becoming too much of a bore for you, dear?”
“A better question you should ask, Zabini, is how you intend to survive once I’m through with you,” the lioness growled, her teeth bared.
Blaise chuckled, annoyingly cocky in his self-assurance. “Oh, I highly doubt anything untoward will happen to me, especially since I still hold your precious lovers captive and you have no idea where they are. ” He inwardly scoffed—even if dimwitted Pothead and Weaselbrain were to get near the control room, they’d never get past the protections it had.
“Oh, but I do know where they are, and I know exactly how to find them. Even now I have my closest friends removing the barriers of the house and the others are being freed,” she taunted.
Narcissa gave a gasp, which caused Hermione to smirk; she didn’t miss the subtle clutching of the aristocrat’s bejeweled ringed fingers over her heart or the rapid breathing to match the darting of eyes that signify the fear of prey backed into a corner. “It’ll be Azkaban for you, Zabini. And all your most prized possessions will be divided between the six of us. You’ll be broke and broken. Before this is all over, you’ll have nothing left,” the Gryffindor continued.
“You think you’ve won, huh? Another Gryffindor victory against the Slytherin?” Blaise pressed. “It’s not over yet, Mudblood. While you’re here testing me, your pathetic lovers are wasting away. Well, that is, if they manage to survive the Devil’s Snare attack. Not to mention, the full moon is tonight and Lupin has no potion. Whatever will the others do? You won’t make it. You’re out of time. ”
Hermione opened her mouth to retort and shut it again. He was right. There was no way she would make it in time to save the others. Not against Devil’s Snare and a werewolf. Her eyes widened slightly. Where was Viktor with the reinforcements? Harry and Ron should be here by now.
As Blaise made a move to get closer, Hermione pointed her wand fiercely at him. “I said don’t move!” she snarled.
Blaise raised an eyebrow once more.
