Hermione jolted awake, her heart pounding a mile a minute. Only moments ago the nightmare had been so real, but already she forgetting what occurred
'Awake at last, are we?'
She squinted in the dark, and swallowed.
'What do you want Lucius?'
He smiled dreamily at her, 'I merely wanted to inform you that the armies your allies are sending are being returned...piece by piece. Unfortunately, I will be away for a few days but don't worry I instructed someone to feed you.'
She gripped the edge of the sheets but feigned indifference, 'You won't win.'
In two long strides he was inches from her face, the tip of his wand boring painfully into her cheek. She winced in pain, but did not cry out.
If this was going to be the end she would die with some dignity.
Several moments passed.
But she did not die. Lucius slowly lowered his wand and instead slapped her. Hard. WIth the back of his hand. 'For every soldier I lose, I will take it out on blood. Let's hope, for your sake, that I lose none, Ms. Granger.'
He turned and strode away, leaving Hermione with a frantically pounding heart and a deep sense of dread.
I have to break out of here.
