Sirius
I had planned on talking to Lydia before breakfast, but when I knocked on the door, the house elf told me that Lydia had a migraine, and would be staying in bed.
When I got to breakfast, it was to see my brother hastily packing up a few things, and leaving Lex alone at the table. I had been thinking about our fight all night. Even tough we had fought, she had given me hope. The fact that she was jealous of Lydia made me believe that there was something there, that she could have actual feelings for me. We had to come up with something quickly though, because tomorrow would be the Malfoy engagement party, which meant that we were halfway trough the holiday already. If she returned to Snape, I’d loose her.
I failed to acknowledge Regulus as he passed me. I was too busy staring at Lex, who had a dreamy sort of smile on her face, as she watched Regulus walk away. I wondered what that was about. When she took a sip of the mug she had raised to her lips, she saw me, and immediately looked away, not even meeting my gaze. As soon as she looked away, she took out a notebook and a quill I assumed it was meant to discourage me to join her, it didn’t. ‘Do you mind?’ I asked gesturing to the chair opposite of her. She took her time, putting down her quill, taking a deep breath and slowly looking up to me. She gave me a cold look, and a fake smile ‘be my guest, I am just finishing my coffee and then I have to leave’ She informed me. Before I could form a reply, Lucius approached our table. It seemed he had rented a boat, and was taking some of us with him to sail around the islands, He gave me directions to the boat, and told me to be there in an hour. When Lucius had left, Lex spoke again ‘where is your girlfriend this morning? She’d love an opportunity to go on a boat trip with you.’ I hoped I wasn’t imagining the venom in her voice. ‘She has a migraine, and we both know Lydia’s not my girlfriend. I told her, before leaving the table to get some breakfast from the buffet. When I got back to the table, she was gone.

After slipping Lydia a note underneath her door saying that I would be out for the day, I headed to the dock.
I had earlier decided against picking Lex up at her room, at breakfast she hadn't seemed willing to talk to me. I went to find Regulus, to ask him if he was coming along, but he wasn't in his room. Maybe he went to the dock with Lex?
I made it to the dock with a few minutes to spare. The boat, was a luxury four deck yacht. I should have expected this from Malfoy, but I hadn't. The small party he had invited consisted mostly of family. I saw Narcissa, Andromeda and Bella with her husband Rodolphus, his brother Rabastan. Once I got on board, I also saw Lex, who was talking to her cousin Tavio and his girlfriend. The last group to get on board was a mixture of nationalities. From France Philippe Legrand and his sister Sophie, from the USA Ricky Greengass and his fiancée Charlotte, from Spain Laetitia, Selena and Diego Herrera – Nova, Regulus was nowhere to be seen.
Judging by the glares, Lex didn’t want me to join her, so I took a seat at the bar, where I was joined by Andromeda. ‘What did you do?’ she asked, looking at Lex. I told her about the fight we had last night. Andromeda seemed lost in thought as she studied Lex, who was now talking animatedly with Philippe, Sophie and Diego. ‘You know Sirius, I think all you need is a good snogging session to get things straightened out, it would help a lot with all this tension between you guys.’ She said.
The waiter brought our drinks, and she stopped him ‘Whatever she orders, add some alcohol into every glass you bring her’ she told him, nodding in Lex’ direction. I was shocked, my cousin was going to get Lex drunk? I confronted her ‘You’ll thank me later, she said winking. We took our drinks to the sun deck, where some of the others joined us. The conversation was mostly about the upcoming wedding of Ricky and Charlotte, and their planned move to England. The boat stopped around lunch time, so we could go for a swim. Lex was the first one of the boat, as I had expected. I jumped in the water after her, but she swam away from me as soon as I had entered the water.
‘Lucius said there is a wreckage somewhere in here that we can dive to’ Andromeda said, loud enough for everyone to hear ‘who’s in?’ Not everyone shared Andromeda’s love for adventure, some had stayed on the boat, our diving group consisted of Philippe, Sophie, Diego, Andromeda, Lex and myself. Andromeda suggested to make sure each of us had a buddy in case something went wrong. Unfortunately Philippe and Lex wanted to team up, leaving me with Andromeda, who looked at me apologetically before giving me the go signal. We all cast the bubblehead charm, and disappeared underneath the surface.
It didn’t take us long to find the wreckage, it wasn’t too far from the boat. It was beautiful of course, the coral, the fish. We circled around it, for a while, just drifting in the water. When Andromeda signaled she wanted to go back up, I complied. We were the fist to get back, and I scanned the ocean for Lex, she was still down there with Philippe.
Andromeda handed me a drink, which she had gotten from the boat. I glanced at her ‘no alcohol?’ I asked, holding up the cup. She shook her head grinning ‘not for you.’
I saw two others making their way to our group, Sophie and Diego had made their way back to the surface safely. Every so often I looked in the direction of the wreckage, Sophie, who was closest to me noticed. ‘Zey will be back soon’ she said, taking the cup Diego offered her, I nodded in acknowledgement of her, still scanning the horizon. ‘You really like er?’ she asked, I was so tired of getting this question, why was it so obvious to everyone but Lex? ‘Yeah, I do, but all we do is fight.’
Lex and Philippe resurfaced, and joined us, which prevented Sophie from replying, she winked at me instead. I wondered why she was so obvious about it, until I saw the glare Lex gave her, and Philippe’s smile in watching it all play out.

The six of us who had gone to the wreckage were the last ones to return to the boat. Lucius urged us to sit in the Jacuzzi to warm up. He was right, the moment I got out of the water, I was cold, so I moved to the Jacuzzi. I noticed that the others went trough the same thing, as one by one they jumped in the Jacuzzi, shivering. When I got out, Sophie joined me again. ‘Shall we go to the sunbeds on the upper deck?’ I asked her, ignoring Lex’ glares. We were joined by Philippe and Lex, who were carrying drinks and some sandwiches.
After lunch, Philippe and Lex went for another dive, Andromeda joined me again. We spent the afternoon talking about the differences in schools. Sophie went to Beaubatons, and had a totally different school experience. It was an interesting conversation. They had no houses, no rivalry. In summer they were allowed to host several dances on the school grounds. It was late afternoon when everyone came back on board. Sophie was just telling us a funny story of her friends daring her to do body shots at school, and one of the professors walking in on them when we were interrupted by Charlotte ‘anyone seen Lucius and Narcissa?’ she asked. I hadn’t seen them since lunch, as we hadn’t left the sun deck. Charlotte went back to the bar, and we followed her. When we made it down the stairs I heard Bella saying ‘they retreated in one of the cabins, best leave them alone, unless you want to join them.’

An uncomfortable silence followed that remark, made no less awkward by Lucius and Narcissa arriving on the deck only minutes after Bella had spoken. This was why everyone disliked Bella, she loved making everyone uncomfortable. ‘Are we heading back?’ Diego asked, in an attempt to break the uncomfortable silence. Lucius nodded, heading to the captain of the boat, to inform him. While everyone scattered, Narcissa looked at Andromeda, and raised an eyebrow in an unspoken question ‘Bella’ was the only reply she gave, before dragging me over to the bar for another drink.
The couples decided to enjoy the Jacuzzi while they still had it, that left only Selena, Laetitia, Diego, Lex, Philippe, Sophie, Andromeda, Rabastan and me. ‘beer pong anyone?’ Rabastan asked, being overly enthusiastic about it. The French and Spanish were equally enthusiastic, I looked at Andromeda, who also wanted to join. ‘You see, zat is why we ave more fun, we are less stuck up zan ze eenglish’ Sophie said, she looked at me challengingly. ‘Count me in’ Lex said, earning herself a shocked glance from Diego. I pointed out that they were already an even number, so I would refree.
An hour later, I was sure that it had been a wise decision not to play. Rabastan and Philippe were very good at this, seen as they were in one team with Sophie and Andromeda, they were mostly sober by the time Lex’ team lost for the tenth time. All of them swayed a little after their last defeat, and I ended the game.
As the boat docked, the sun was setting. We all agreed to meet up at the disco of the hotel, where they held a youngsters party tonight. I went to my room, and decided it would be good to take a nap before going to the disco.
