Chapter Thirty Seven
Chapter Thirty Seven
A bus full of Muggle children left for dead
A certified Death eater attack on a school buss of muggle children yesterday was intercepted by Aurors. The bus was travelling from St. Marks School in Kent to neighbouring villages to take the school children home. It was stopped by a group of death eaters who then proceeded to kill and mutilate many of the children as well as the bus driver. A battalion of Aurors from the ministry arrived in time to apprehend the death eaters and save some of the muggles.
The battle was short and swift, with the Death Eaters dissaparating almost as soon as opposition appeared. Mediwizards were swiftly called in an attempt to heal the children, but for the majority it was too late.
Fudge speaking on behalf of the entire ministry described the event as, “Simply appalling. A horror for muggles and wizards alike.”
The muggle prime minister has been warned of the potential threat and it is hoped that something will be done to prevent other similar events. (For details of the memorial ceremony turn to page 21)
