Roark rose with the sun the next morning, having sent Harry home to get at least a few centars {hours} of sleep in his bed. It was as he moved past the mirror after his shower, that he saw a much paler face than what was normal, dark circles under exhausted silver eyes, speaking loudly of a bad night.
A VERY bad night as he had not slept well. Not well AT ALL. He had, in fact, spent a very restless night after his brother had left, plagued by dreams. Or, more like one dream in particular. Even now, as he dried himself off, reaching for his comb, he felt his face heating as he remembered the content of one of the dreams
He swore sharply, wondering, as he headed back toward his bedroom if Harry was having the same problem as he was. What the hell was it about that damn Terminator that drew him like a moth was drawn to flame? More than a little furious with himself, he went to his closet for a clean uniform. He had to get control of himself before he had to face Severus and the Durin's.
They all had the ability to read him like an open book and knew he would be in some serious trouble if he didn't somehow get ahold of himself. Looking at the clock on his bedside table, he swore again and left his bedroom. Centons {minutes} later he was walking out of his apartment. meeting Harry at the end of the walkway between their apartment.
One look at his brother's face told him what he had already known. Harry had slept no better than he had. "Harry, this is bad," he said as their eyes met.
"Then you're having dreams too?" came the question as his face flushed. he shook his head as he noticed Roark's flushing as well. "I said it last night, I'll say it again this morning. We are going to be in so much trouble if we don't get a handle on this."
Roark could only nod. "Let's get to Headquarters. We need to tell them about our visitors last night."
"Um...but we say nothing about this damn attraction we feel for them."
"Absolutely NOT! If we told them that, they'd likely lock us both up and throw away the keys."
"THAT, my brother would be a given, and more to the point, we would never hear the end of it."
Roark shook his head as they turned together and began to walk.

They entered the Atrium of the Aquarian Colonial Headquarters just over two centon's l{hours} later, each carrying bags as they had decided to do a little relaxing shopping, then stopping at their favorite corner Cafe for a couple of fully loaded breakfast burritos each, and take out cups of rich, sweet black tea.
As they entered the building, they saw Logan and Tristyn at the reception desk, talking quietly with the guard there. Just as they began to cross to them, Fili and Kili entered through another door. They all met at the reception desk, greeting each other with smiles, even Tristyn gave them a smile, having warmed toward them a great deal.
"Good morning, Harry, Rory," came cheerfully.
"Morning, boys, Tris," Harry said.
"Morning," Roark mumbled as he finished off his burrito, drinking some tea, hoping to throw them off the scent so to speak, before they could even latch onto it.
No such luck though as Logan's smile began to change, and Kili was now looking at him closely before he looked over at Harry, a frown curving his brow. "Okay. So you two look horrible," Logan said, head tilting as his blue eyes kept shifting between the two of them. "Something is wrong."
"Very wrong," Kili agreed, looking from one to the other as Fili and Tristyn frowned. "Alright, you two, talk. What's happened to set you both so on edge?"
A deep sigh sounded from the both of them. : Just like a damn book, : Roark said to his brother telepathically, grimacing. "Logan, call your bother's and Severus, please. Fi, Ki, I need you to call Jordan and Tyler. Tris?" he turned. "Will you go find Captain Ardyn? Join us in our office as soon as you find him."
"I'll get right on it," he said as he turned and then hurried away from them, not liking the look on their faces one bit. Not much ever seemed to bother the brothers, but whatever had happened had set them on edge, though they were doing their damnest to hide it
"They're on their way," Logan said as they all turned to head to the lifts.
"So is Jordan," Fili said as the doors slid open at their approach. "Are you two alright?"
"We're fine, Fi, just tired. Kili?"
"He was already in the building, so he'll meet us there," he told him as he slipped the communicator back into his belt. "Are you going to tell us what's going on?"
"We will," came from Harry as the lift doors opened into the hall that led to their office, "but in our office where all and sundry can't hear what we have to say."
"Oh, oh," came from Kili as they moved down the hall.
Tyler was waiting for them at the door, a frown curving his brow as he caught sight of the Peverell Potter brothers. "What's going on, you two?" he demanded instantly.
"We'll tell you as soon as everyone gets here," Roark told him as he laid his palm to the entry plate beside their door, keying in the security code to unlock the door.
They all entered as soon as it slid open, Harry heading immediately to the sideboard to prepare more tea for him and Roark, They were going to need something to settle them, and as it was much, MUCH too early to drink anything with alcohol in it, tea would have to do.
Tristyn and Ardyn were the first to arrive, finding Roark pacing the office like a wild, caged Lupus. Harry sat on the corner of his desk, emerald eyes locked on his brother, sipping from his mug of hot tea, while the other sat forgotten beside him...at least for the moment. They looked at the pacing Roark, to Harry, who shook his head to their unasked question, over to Logan, then to Fi and KI, all of them shaking their heads as well, then over to a grim-looking Tyler as they moved to take seats.
As they waited for the others, they all watched as Roark continued to pace back and forth, their expressions worried. After nearly another centar {hour} the door to the office finally opened, admitting the missing four, and as soon as they got a look at Roark, they frowned, though Severus' look was more of a scowl as he looked around the room.
"Harry?" came Alexei's immediate question, his eyes on Roark who was still pacing the room, head down, looking like he was trying to work something out.
Which he was.
"Roark."
He was facing away from them when he stopped at the tone of Jordan's voice. He turned, his head coming up, letting them see hooded silver eyes, thoughts, and expressions completely hidden from them, though not from his brother. He looked slowly from one to the other until his eyes fell on Ardyn.
That was when Severus moved, coming forward with quick steps to stop before him, a hand coming up to brush back a few strands of hair. from his eyes. "Rory?" he asked, opening the small expandable medicine carry all that he now kept fully stocked with several different meds, and personally brewed potions.
Pulling out two small crystal vials, pulling the stoppers out of both, he handed one to Harry, who took it and drained it with barely a shudder of distaste. Severus pressed the rim of the second file to Roark's lips. "Drink," came his command. "It will settle you. You were pacing this place like a caged Lupus."
"Personally, I was thinking more along the lines of a Caprican panther," KIli said as Roark silently tilted his head back, allowing Severus to pour the potion slowly onto his mouth, swallowing.
He gave a shudder. "Fuck," he muttered, looking at him with a grimace. "Can't you make this stuff taste better?"
"No," he answered as he banished both vials back to his lab to be cleansed and re-used at a later date. "Now, you will tell us exactly what has the two of you so riled up you needed a level four calming potion."
Roark tensed. Moving to his chair, he accepted the still-hot mug of tea from Harry, thanks to the charm he had placed on the mug. "Can I drink this?" he asked Severus, who gave a nod.
