It was as the third sectar began that Roark suddenly remembered that Logan and Kili had wanted to take some basic emergency medical. He went looking for Harry, found him in the library curled in a chair, reading. Looking up from his book as Roark sat down across from him, he arched a brow at his brothers determined expression.
"Alright, what are you up too now?"
"Nothing that's going to get anyone into trouble. Remember on Aquaria, Logan and Kili made a comment about some emergency medical training?"
Harry grinned as he placed his bookmark between the pages he had been reading. "I remember."
"What say we go find them and see about getting them started. I was thinking now would be a good time for more advanced training on our part."
Harry nodded. "Let's go," he said, getting to his feet. "Where do you want to start the courses? Here?"
He shook his head. "I thought we'd go to the Life Center."
They moved through the house, looking for Logan and Kili, found the pair out in the garden. "Here you are," Roark said. "Been looking all over the house for you."
"Why? Is something wrong?"
"No, nothing is wrong, Ki." Harry answered with a smile. "Did you two still want to take some basic emergency training courses?"
"YES!" they both exclaimed emphatically.
"Good, then lets go see Schyler."

They found Schyler in his office at the Caprican Military Life Center, working diligently on some administration stuff he had been putting off for far too long, and now needed to get done.
He looked up at the knock on his door, smiled when he saw Roark, waved him in. "Well, you certainly look like you are up to something. What can I do for you scamps?"
Schyler listened as the four of them explained, his grass green eyes moving back and forth between them. With a smile, he got to his feet. "Let's head over to the Caprican School of Life Center Training. We'll appropriate a classroom."
It would be several days before Admiral Roark found out what his two youngest sons, his nephew, and Harry were up too, and after a long discussion with them to discover their reasoning, he then went to his son-in-law. Severus, not one to be surprised by much, actually blinked when the Admiral had finished.
"THAT...is actually a really good idea," he said as he sat back in the leather chair. "I've actually been talking to Sebastien, Robin, and Schyler about possibly making it mandatory for all Counter-Intelligence Officers learn at least some basic emergency medical."
Roark nodded. "Agreed. I'll draw up the synopsis of what is required, you get with the others...Schyler has already appropriated a classroom, to work with Harry, Roark, Logan and Kili."
Severus got to his feet. "I'll head over now."
They ended up with three classrooms, Schyler and Severus would teach the classes, with Sebastien and Robin assisting as time permitted them. The new orders also allowed Schyler to very happily turn over all his administrative duties to his very capable, qualified assistant.
That was the only part of being the Head of the Caprican Military Life Center that he hated. He hated being stuck behind a desk.

As for Rodolphus and Rabastan, they too were busy. Once Rodolphus was able to get a hold of Mikhail, and after several centars of talking by the brothers, were finally able to talk him into packing up and moving to Caprica, leaving the shop on Aquaria to his very qualified apprentice.
Especially after he learned that the Head of the Weapons and Physical Training Courses at the Academy, had a very lucrative job offer for him, as per the orders of Military High Command.
Once he was moved, a building bought and stocked with whatever he might need, the three of them got to work. First making the changes necessary to the weapon's belts of all Counter-Intelligence Officers, the offer also going out to any Colonial Warrior who would like a secondary form of offensive and defensive weaponry.
"It was as they were working on the belts that Rodolphus and Rabastan learned that Mikhail had managed to come up with a secondary weapon to be used against the Cylons, namely a laser knife that would cut through most metals, though, he admitted, that was still in testing.

At the end of that third sectar, Roark had his final medical evaluation and was finally released by all five to return to full military duty.
Later that evening, when all those who were home were sitting down to dinner, Roark, who wanted to know where they stood, brought up the Peace Conference.
Silence.
Then the snorts of disgust could be heard coming from several of those around the table. It was Alexei who answered him as he sat forward to answer him, "It's all a load of rubbish if you were to ask me," he told him as he passed the platter of roasted potatoes to Harry, who sat beside him.
"The problem we have right now is proving it. NOT, mind you, that the President of the Council of Twelve is likely to listen even were we to show them proof. They want this Peace so badly, they are ignoring all the signs."
"So who began this whole thing anyway?" the question came from Bilbo. who sat beside Thorin. "I mean, I know it was Count Baltar who brought the proposal, but who approached Baltar with the offer in the first place?"
"Now THAT'S the question, isn't it?" Roark Sr. spoke up from where he sat at the head of the table, passing the platter of fish to his left. "According to what Count Baltar had told us, he was approached by a representative sent by the Cylon's current Imperious Leader, only the Cylon representative has not come forward."
"Baltar keeps telling us there is no need for us to talk to Cylons, as the Cylons do not want to talk to us. They have made it clear they will only speak to Baltar. He is, therefore, handling all the offers, as well as the papers concerning the offers. He is also handling the details of where to hold the Conference currently on the table."
"I...see," he said, then, slowly, "Why does this all feel so...WRONG?" he asked softly, his eyes on the painting of the Caprican Mountain Range. "Why does this feel like we are being played? And not just by the Cylons."
