Chapter 39 - Epilogue
14 October 2047
Ashleigh ran down the hall as fast as she could. She’d been deep in conversation with Professor Lanx concerning her DADA essay. She hadn’t thought to get a note and now she was likely going to be late for Potions.
The day she found out that she had been chosen to complete her magical education at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry she had jumped for joy…literally. She had always wanted to see it. The school was renowned for its amazing grounds, tall turrets and ghosts. She couldn’t wait to meet the ghosts, having never met one before.
Her foster parents were very proud to find that she had been offered and intended to accept a scholarship to travel to Scotland to attend her last year of school. They were Muggles so unfortunately they were not well versed in what the magical world held in store for her, however her foster mother had been born to a squib so she knew very well of the magical world itself.
They had decided that it would do her some good to be a little worldlier. It also didn’t hurt that her blood cousins lived in England which is much closer to travel to for the holidays.
Now however, she was cursing the long hallways and the distant separation of the classrooms. Skidding to a halt outside the Potions classroom, Ashleigh fought to calm her breathing and smoothed her skirt.
Entering the classroom, seventeen pairs of eyes turned to stare at her.
“Miss Grey you’re late.”
“I’m sorry Professor. I was in conversation about my essay with Professor Lanx. She didn’t give me a note for being late but she did ask me to deliver this to you.” Ashleigh said as she walked to her Head of House’ desk to deliver what she was sure was a love note.
The Potions Master gave her a dark look at her smirk when she dropped the letter on his desk. Turning around, she quickly found her seat and started on the directions that were on the board.
She supposed she couldn’t really blame Professor Lanx for her obvious admiration of the Potions Master. Professor Malfoy was extremely good looking and young in comparison to the other professors to boot. Many of her classmates had been overheard gossiping about their dreams and fantasies starring him. They obviously weren’t Slytherin.
Double Potions went well enough. She’d done spectacularly on her assignment, if she did say so herself and she received no reprimand at all for being late. Now, the Head of Slytherin never took points from his own house but he wasn’t afraid of handing out a detention or two. He’d given her one before for being late so she couldn’t understand why he’d forgone punishment today.
Shrugging it off and considering herself lucky, she made her way to the Transfiguration classroom. Lunch was for the next hour but she usually used the first half hour to practice.
Entering the room, she found no one just as she expected. Everyone knew that she came here to practice at this time and Professor Teagarden didn’t have a problem with it.
She’d been practicing her latest lesson for about fifteen minutes when something caught her eye in the corner of the room. A cherry cabinet with a phoenix engraved on it stood, its left door slightly open.
She knew that this cabinet had not been there before, she would have remembered it.
Walking over to the cabinet, she opened the doors and found musty old parchment but something in the back glimmered in the light. Moving the parchment, she pulled out what looked like an old Time Turner. It looked broken so she put the chain around her neck. She would take it to the Charms professor to see if he could help her fix it.
She wondered how it came to be here since they are restricted by the Ministry when suddenly the dial began to move on its own.
Screaming, she attempted to remove it from her neck but it would not budge. The room was becoming blurry. She sat down, waiting for it to stop, wondering when she would end up.

14 October 1997
Ashleigh couldn’t believe she was sitting in front of Albus Dumbledore, and not his portrait but the living breathing man. She had of course learned all about him and how he had helped her cousin Harry defeat the Dark Lord Voldemort. He was the greatest Headmaster Hogwarts had ever seen and probably ever would see.
During their meeting, discussing how she had come to be in this time and place, a roll of parchment magically appeared on Dumbledore’s desk even startling the man himself.
After reading the parchment in its entirety which took no small amount of time, Dumbledore turned to Ashleigh.
“Well my dear, it seems you have quite the part to play. I’ll attempt to let things play out as much like they did the first time you visited us.”
“You mean I’ve been here before?”
“Why yes my dear. In fact you are the reason that the light will win in the war against Voldemort.”

31 July 2048
Ashleigh appeared in a garden, the very same garden she had disappeared from. Standing, she took her wand from the holster on her thigh and scourgified her white robes. Wandering through the garden toward the house, she wondered if she was back in 2047 or if she ended up in some other time.
She’d just rounded the last rose bush when someone exited the back of the house.
Draco, she thought. It’s Draco.
Running over to the person, she was confused. Her Potions professor stood in front of her. Nothing made sense.
“What year is it?”
“2048, July 31st to be exact.”
Ashleigh was immediately saddened by this news. She supposed she was happy to be in her own time period but to see that Draco had moved on hurt more than she could say, even though she understood. Fifty years is a long time to wait for someone. It was horrible to have this knowledge but the fact that he looked and sounded just like her Draco wasn’t helping anything. But of course he wasn’t her Draco, he was probably a grandson that was just given his grandfathers name. After all, her Potions professor was only 28 years old. There was no possible way.
“Who are you?”
“You know who I am Sweetheart.” Draco told her as he stepped closer to her.
“I’ve waited a long time to give this back to you. This, I think, is the most appropriate time.” He pulled out a box from his pocket and opened it. Inside nestled on black velvet was the trilliant cut diamond necklace that he’d given her fifty years ago.
When she saw it, she stared at him in a very undignified way for a few moments before she broke down into tears and pulled him to her in a fierce hug.
When she finally calmed down, she pulled him over to a garden bench before she started with her questions.
“You waited for me?” She asked. Confusion colored her features.
“Yes.”
“Why?”
“Because you’re the only person I’ve ever loved.”
Ashleigh smiled at that.
“How is it that you’ve barely aged?”
“Potions Master remember? I finished my apprenticeship under Severus when I was twenty two. It took me another six years to develop a potion that stops the aging process. A potion which I can now stop taking.”
“How…”
“I went on extended holiday after you disappeared. I only came back to England two years ago to take the Potions Master position and to prepare for your return. Everyone thinks I am the grandson of Draco Malfoy that went to Hogwarts fifty years ago.”
“How did you know I’d come back?”
“To Hogwarts?”
At her nod he continued.
“I made sure you did.”
When Ashleigh had a confused look on her face he elaborated.
“After you disappeared I searched everywhere for you. I couldn’t believe that that was the moment that the magic would have reversed itself, not after everything we’d been through. I searched through your room for anything that might lead me to you. I found this.”
Draco pulled out a piece of parchment and opened it to reveal five written lines.
“My parent’s names. The Dark Lord gave that to me just before the ceremony.”
“Yes. I found your parents the day you were born. Unfortunately being related to Harry really doesn’t mean much. They weren’t nice people. I paid them off so that they’d give you to the Grey’s. I know you’ve always wanted to know about your parents and I’m sorry to tell you that they were addicts. Your mother didn’t use while she was pregnant with you, thank Merlin, but she started again right before she handed you over to the Grey’s. They were killed in a car accident when they ran into a stone wall of a building.”
Ashleigh took a moment to process this information.
“Well, I’d always figured I couldn’t have better parents than the Grey’s. I guess I was right. So how did you get me here?”
“I was the one who submitted your name for the scholarship.”
“I wondered about that. I knew I hadn’t filled out an application.”
“I also placed the cabinet with the Time Turner in the Transfiguration room. I had it timed so that you would find it at the exact moment you were supposed to.”
“One day you’re going to have to tell me the story of how this all went down the first time.”
“I agree; it was an amazing road to take. Although, the memories of your second visit aren’t so bad either.”
There was a pregnant silence before Ashleigh spoke again.
“Why didn’t you move on? I would have understood.”
“For a time I tried. I found myself comparing everyone to you and no one held a candle. You are the love of my life; I’d wait till the end of time for you if I had to.” Sincerity shown in his eyes so brilliant that she was drawn to him even more.
Scooting closer to him, she carefully lifted her right hand to the side of his face and caressed him lightly.
“You know, I think that was the perfect proposal.” She told him with a smile.
Leaning in slowly she captured his lips in a sweet kiss and moved to sit astride his legs.
When she moved, Draco grabbed her and pulled her against him tighter, grinding his growing erection into her center. They both moaned at the contact and Draco banished their clothes wandlessly.
When Ashleigh felt him bare underneath her she quickly stood up shocked.
“You’ve never pulled that before!” She said, letting her eyes roam his body. He hadn’t grown in just height.
“Well, I’ve got moves you’ve never seen.” He replied as he pulled her closer.
“Let’s remedy that shall we?”
Ashleigh quickly knelt down and took his partially erect cock in her mouth and sucked hard, groaning at the feeling of having him again.
Draco thought he’d pass out at the feeling of her hot, wet mouth covering his member but when she groaned the vibrations caused his eyes to roll back into his head and his hips to jerk. He let her continue for a few minutes while his cock grew harder before pulling her up and sitting her on his lap.
Carefully, he impaled her. They each took a moment to get used to the feeling of the other.
“I’m sorry love but this has got to be fast and hard.”
“No apologies needed.”
At her words Draco started moving her furiously up and down. Ashleigh threw her head back in ecstasy while Draco worked her over. She could tell Draco was not in his normal mindset at the moment which she didn’t mind but she could tell he was about to come so she snaked her hand down between them and started working her clit. Moments later she came crashing down around him, screaming his name. Draco came seconds later, mumbling incoherently.
Together they slid down to the garden path and just held each other. Neither spoke while they caught their breath. They just stared at each other until a thought came to Ashleigh.
“So now that you’ve banished my clothes, what am I going to wear?” She asked with a saucy smirk and propped her head up on her hand.
“Well I do prefer you in nothing at all.”
“Scandalous!”
“I suppose you do need something though.” Snapping his fingers, a small black box appeared in between them. Draco propped himself up facing Ashleigh before opening the box.
Ashleigh had to focus on her breathing, in and out, in and out.
The ring was gorgeous. A platinum band with a large cushion cut emerald that separated two slightly smaller diamonds. Taking the ring out of its box, she noticed the detailed filigree on either side of the ring, effectively hiding the lower points of the stones.
Looking back up at Draco, she asked “It’s not the same ring?”
“I thought you deserved something better than what you were forced to wear. I had this commissioned for you 35 years ago.”
“And the emerald?”
“Now you will always wear something that will bring out those beautiful eyes of yours.”
Ashleigh looked at him skeptically.
“Really, not supporting house colors?” She asked as he slipped it onto her finger.
Draco smirked.
“We are Slytherin, my dear.”
Ashleigh broke down into laughter, pulling him into her for a hug.
“I absolutely love it. And I love you.”
After a moment she pulled back.
“But really, what am I going to wear? I know how you feel about transfiguring your clothes.”
“Come along, I think we can find you something.”
Hand in hand, they walked through the manor, thankfully not coming in contact with any house elves.
“Draco…You’re parents?”
“They both past about ten years ago.”
“I’m sorry. I liked them a lot. Were they disappointed with the decision you made?” She asked referring to the fact that he never married.
“No. In fact, I think it gave them hope. They of course knew about the potion I was taking and they supported me whole heartedly. I think they knew that we were always meant to be.”
Smiling at her, he motioned her to her old room. Leading her inside, he led her straight to her closet.
Veering inside, Ashleigh saw massive amounts of clothing that she didn’t recognize.”
“I had a feeling you’d be the same size when you returned.”
“Prat. I’ve never worn any of this.”
“You did. The first time you traveled to me. I had a firsthand experience then and just the memories of your second visit which aren’t so shabby either. I had your attire from both but I liked your wardrobe from your first visit more. Especially that little red number.” He said as he pointed to where her gowns hung.
Walking over to them, she pulled out the red floor length gown and gasped. It was beautiful but revealing. She could only imagine what people thought of her wearing something like this. She knew she hadn’t the last time she went to the past.
Draco saw the look on her face and ordered her to stop.
“You didn’t go to my parents Christmas party the second time around, gowns of this caliber are the norm. Believe me, every woman wanted to be you and every man wanted to have you that night. It made me entirely too smug to know that I had you all to myself. I know Parkinson was always extremely jealous.” He stated with a smirk.
“How is the cow?”
“Married to Goyle…With ten kids. They’ve turned worse than the Weasley’s.”
Ashleigh laughed although her thoughts were far away. It seemed she kept forgetting that for everyone else it had been fifty years since they’d seen her. Not the mere hours that it had been for her.
“And the others?”
Draco knew to whom she referred.
“Alive and well. They should be here in the next hour or so.”
