Harry jogged across the cobblestoned walkway and in to the café that Hermione sent him to the previous day. He made a nearly silent groan of distaste when he saw the matching platinum heads sitting next to one another in a booth at the far end of the building. He should have known, if he were doing something as sneaky as Hermione, he would want someone like the Malfoy’s on his side too. This was a morning meeting on a Saturday so he wore faded jeans and a sweater but they were decked out in black muggle suits. He slid in to the booth seat across from them and ordered a cup of tea and a scone as he was starving
“Do you always attend business meetings dressed like a Hogwarts student, Mr. Potter?” Lucius asked.
“I wasn’t aware this was a business meeting” Harry answered honestly.
“Did Hermione tell you nothing?” Lucius asked “I was under the impression that she had spoken to you before she wrote to Draco and I”
“She did” Harry said “But she never mentioned it was a business meeting”
“When you are meeting somewhere that is neither a friends home or out to drinks or dinner” Lucius taught “The meeting should always be considered a ‘business meeting’”
“Oh” Harry looked embarrassedly at the table top and the scone that had been delivered. He only looked up when he heard the older man clear his throat and he found Lucius giving him an oddly sad look.
“Don’t beat yourself up, Mr. Potter” Lucius said “You were never taught the proper ways to be a business man, it is something that’s taught from father to son”
“Well” Harry looked and felt uncomfortable with the subject “Then I guess that my son will never learn it either”
“If you would like” Lucius said and Harry saw Draco’s head snap to his father “I could always give you some lessons in decorum within the business world”
“Yeah…maybe” Harry said “So, what are we here to discuss exactly?”
“Let’s keep our voices down” Lucius said “Hermione needs a campaign to show the wizarding world that she would be the best for them”
“My question is how is Percy going to take her having a campaign?” Harry asked.
“That” Draco said with a smirk worthy of Voldemort himself “Is why this campaign is going to be made by the very people that she is hoping to take care of as Minister”
“But…how?” Harry asked.
“Leave that to us, Potter” Draco snapped.
“Draco” Lucius said calmly “He’s not against us he is with us and we need him to help us, stop the attitude because we really do owe Hermione”
“Fine” The younger Malfoy sat back with his arms folded over his chest and a pout on his lips.
“What we intend to do” Lucius said “Is to get help from your wife and some of her friends. They will start it… a whole “women for Hermione” type of movement that will interest other women and sooner or later men too”
“We only have four months” Harry pointed out.
“Yes” Lucius frowned “We should have been campaigning for a while longer”
“Well then…?” Harry said.
“Hermione wanted it this way” Draco answered instead of his father “If the campaign starts late then there is no reason for Percy to think that she had been planning it for herself”
“If she’s trying to steal his job then why does she care if he finds out that she’s after his job” Harry asked.
“If he finds out he will find a reason to fire her and you know it” Lucius answered “Can you talk to your wife about helping the cause?”
“Of course” Harry said “Anything else I can do?”
“Draw up some ideas” Draco said “Things that will help the wizarding world…but I would say focus on the schools, children and women and that sort…when you have a few ideas bring them to us and Hermione and we will focus on that”
“By the time the voting comes about…” Lucius smirked “She’ll be the most popular choice”
“Should we place a fake candidate?” Harry asked surprising the two Slytherins with his sneakiness “Then the people running would be Percy, Hermione and some shitty looking person that everyone will hate”
“That is a great idea” Lucius admitted “But it could look a little too planned out…we can always bring it up to Hermione though but I think we should hold on to that one until it starts to look like it’s getting bad”
“Okay…” Harry said.
“First rule of business, Mr. Potter” Lucius said kindly “Play the cards you’re dealt but make sure you always have an ace hidden up your sleeve”

Severus was lying on his back that Saturday morning listening to Hermione sing to Aibhlinn while she fed her in to sitting room. She always let him sleep in on the weekends though he hardly slept past seven in the morning he did love to just lay in bed and listen to his small family go about their lives. Three month old Aibhlinn was already showing that she was smart and if the small outbursts of magic was anything to go by then she was also going to be extremely magical. There was some movement on the other side of the bed and he looked over groaning when he found Remus lying where his wife usually did. When he noticed that Severus was looking at him he wiggled his brows at him.
“What are you doing in bed with me?” Severus asked.
“I was thinking that maybe we could have sex…you know, to pass the time” Remus answered which actually made Severus snort “We could share the memories with our wives”
“Hermione would love that” Severus said then frowned “Actually, now that I think about it…I really do think it would arouse her greatly to watch the two of us go at it like wild animals” He smirked slightly “But really, why are you in my bed and where is my wife?”
“She took Aibhlinn to visit Tonks and Remy” Remus answered “Teddy is visiting Andromeda today” He grinned “I also came to tell you that Hermione’s newest marriage law stipulation made a splash and now that it’s okay with the ministry Sirius and Pansy Black have left the country”
“They have to stay in touch, right?” Severus asked.
“Yeah but it’s better than being stuck here” Remus said “You know how Sirius is when he’s caged in”
“Oh wow” Hermione said from the doorway and her words were followed by giggles from Tonks. Severus raised his eyes to see his wife and Remus’s wife watching the two lay in bed together both under the blankets “My dreams have come true!”
“Where’s Aibhlinn?!” Severus asked as Hermione and Tonks climbed under the blankets.
“Molly was visiting Tonks when I got there” Hermione explained “She asked if she could take Aibhlinn along with baby Remus for a visit and she really hasn’t had any time to spend with her”
“Oh…okay” Severus said.
“And tomorrow mum and dad are taking her” Hermione said “All night…” She purred and slid her hand up his leg stopping just before she reached his groin.
“Already working on baby number two?” Remus teased.
“Oh yes” Hermione said sarcastically “Just what I want to be, a broodmare that has been my dream since I was a little girl”
“You too?!” Tonks squealed and both of them laughed. Both men watched them act like teenagers but neither said anything about it, Hermione had never got a chance to be a normal young woman and Tonks hardly had any friends all through Hogwarts and then out of it as well.
“Remus” Severus said “Shall we start giggling as well?”
“I do think we shall” Remus said and both men broke out in to horrible imitations of the girls giggles.
Hermione and Tonks watched for a few minutes before shaking their heads and standing up. Severus frowned and reached for Hermione but she shook her head and walked away. For the last three months both couples had been very busy, Remus and Tonks had two kids to take care of plus Tonks was back at work in the ministry as an Auror and Severus and Hermione had their daughter to take care of as well as his teaching and her climbing of the ministry ladder. So days like this one, days without kids and with nothing to do but spend time together were rare and Severus didn’t know what to expect from this day. Remus told him to just go with it and let what would happen to happen and then remember that these days are going to be very rare indeed.
