Surprise!
***I hate when you start a story with something in mind but the evil plot refuses to be tamed and goes it’s own ways…*glares at muses*…..hmph.***
Hermione raced through the halls to get to the bleachers where she had promised to meet Draco. A million thoughts raced through her head as she reached the bleachers- but they all vanished when she saw Draco sitting in the dark by himself.
He hadn’t seen her come and now Hermione could see the thoughtful look on his face. She forgot all the ways in which she had been cursing Draco in her mind and now felt as if she was to blame. He looked so childlike and innocent, she just wanted to take him into her arms.
“Hi.” Hermione said, still looking at Draco. He started and looked up, and gave a wry smile.
“Hey.” He got up and began walking towards the doors, then turned around and motioned for Hermione to join him. As she ran up to meet him, she felt she ought to apologize…for the sake of the situation of course, it wasn’t like she cared about Draco right?
“I’m sorry I was late. You shouldn’t have waited so long.” Draco turned and took her hand, and though Hermione cringed inwardly she kept a smile on her face.
“That’s ok , I had something to show anyway.”
“Show me?” Hermione asked uncertainly. Draco nodded and pulled her towards the Slytherin hallway.
“Wait here.” He quickly muttered the passwords, and emerged from the wall moments later holding a package.
“Here.” He handed her a present and Hermione opened it slowly finding a beautiful silver charm bracelet, the very same one she had been admiring only a few weeks ago in the Tarnished Silver jewellery shop, and lamenting at her own limited funds.
“Draco, you didn’t have to do this. I know you’re rich and you can afford to give away presents but I- I mean- Well just don’t expect anything in return. Because-”
“Hermione.” Draco interrupted, holding her shoulders, “I already have everything I need.”
Hermione felt her legs go jelly like and as she looked into Draco’s piercing silvery gaze, she was truly frightened of herself. How could she have let herself fall in love with him? Oh god, had she just said love? Is that what it was?
For her own sake and for Draco’s she hoped not. There were some secrets that she didn’t want even her worst enemy to have a part in.
***Mediocre ending I know but it seems as if it’s the best I can do right now………well the next chapter should have a BIG surprise but I may forget and not write it……..hopefully I will though….so keep your fingers crossed..***
