He’s a wizard! I can’t believe it! I was so shocked and so happy when
he told me that I cried and I hugged him. I think that might have
scared him. And there are so many interesting things going on in
their house, and I don’t even know if I can write about them because everything
must be kept secret. His mother said they could get into a lot of
trouble. I wouldn’t want that to happen. They seem pretty nice.
His mother is a witch and his father is a wizard, too.
There was one thing, though that upset me. His mom said something
about how awful it is to be a witch living in this house, and I started
to cry again. I just couldn’t help it. And then I looked at
him and he had this look. It was mean and so disapproving.
It was so scary and I just thought – he knows. But then he walked
me to the road and he was trying so hard to be nice. He almost begged
me not to say anything and I had to promise him I wouldn’t. I told
him I would come back tomorrow, if I could, and he seemed really happy
to hear that, but trying not to show it.
