The days seemed to go by very fast and though Draco had seemed ok in the astronomy tower, he still hadn't the ability to attend any classes and lacked his usual confidence. Dumbledore had allowed Harry and Hermione to miss classes on the condition that they help Draco stay caught up in his classes.
Harry still wondered if what Draco's mind told him was a lie. He had said that Draco would be the same except he'd have more clarity. After several days he had begun to wonder if he had ruined Malfoy, not that he completely minded. He did however, feel responsible, since Draco didn't have a choice in what happened to his mind.
Hermione had been very intuitive realizing there was a blooming relationship. Kindly, she clued Ron in, who simply had chuckled when he had caught the two rivals sleeping together.

"So Draco, when was the first sighting of you-know-who?" "No one knows, he is suspected of several murders as early as 1962, the official history documents say 1992." Draco said still eyeing his parchment, perhaps hoping his history essay would write itself.
"That's right, but also, you have to mention which murders or you'll lose points." She warned, much like a mother to a child who had eaten a cookie when he wasn't supposed to.
"It's ok Draco, just do what you can." Harry said softly, again as he had done many times before, moved hair out of Draco's eyes. Hermione huffed. "How is he going to learn if you keep coddling him?!" Harry looked up guilty but also wounded. "I think she's right Harry, I gotta learn, right?" Had he not been shocked by the fact that Draco had spoken the longest sentence since he'd been in his own mind, Harry would have agreed with him.
"Well, as far as essays go, I think you understand enough to go ahead and have a break when Ron gets out of his last class." Both boys gleamed at this, it was rare that they had a break with all the work the both needed to catch up on. Harry ruffled Draco's hair and Draco grumbled and slapped Harry's hand. 'Maybe Draco's mind was quite correct' With that thought, Ron had appeared.
"You missed a good day in herbology, Harry. Sprout fell off her stool into some odd looking mushrooms and large boils burst out all over her. The best part was that she said we didn't have homework." Ron fought with a rather persistant giggle. "So, for the whole weekend, we just have the potions essay." Ron looked at Draco as if he held the key to something. After a quick second it had occured to him and he continued, "Also, Draco, those belongings you asked for, Snape said he'd get them bound and brought up for you."
Ron waited a second, but when Draco gave him a small nod he said rather brightly, "We have alot of time to waste over the weekend, I suggest we get started." Ron's grin shared the Relief throughout the room. Ready for some time for just him and his four friends Harry let out a contented sigh.

The afternoon picnic was the best idea yet. Draco laid under a tree listening to Harry read a story about some great battle, he didn't care. When Harry spoke it could very well be anything and Draco would have liked it. He had that soft kind of voice that made you feel wrapped in warmth.
Ron and Hermione were eating a little bit of food and talking softly, or rather Hermione was talking. This was normal for them, Ron didn't like to talk much so Hermione simply used up his words too and he was happy to let her. "So, you think they're in love Ron?" Hermione asked between bites of her apple. "Well, lets see, cuddling? check. Lovingly soft speech? chcek. Mirrior image of us?" Before he could say check, Hermione had smacked him with a pillow and he gave her a soft kiss.
Draco had drifted to sleep, softly breathing. Harry had noticed and stopped reading and gently stroked his favorite strand of hair over Draco's grey eyes. 'So innocent, how can I ever consider him anything other than my boyfriend?' Harry loving thought. He began to think of a few days ago.
~~~~
"I don't know, it's the only memory that was ever clear for me." Draco said softly as Harry sat down on the bench next to him. "Well, what is in it?" Harry said brightly, putting his arm around Draco's shoulders and watching his eyes search his lost mind for a peice that seemed very important to him.
Suddenly, as if he'd be shot, he stood up and said, "Butterflies." His eyes lit up and he grabbed hold of an invisible ball with an outstreched hand. "My mother's garden, I was chasing butterflies, I couldn't catch them, but I was so happy." Harry got up slowly, not sure if Draco was finished, not wanting to distract him. He'd tried so hard to find this memory.
Draco clasped his hands together and blew breath into them. All of a sudden when his hands opened butterflies flew from them. They were all white and fluttered softly in Draco's face. It had a huge smile on it and Harry grinned too. "Come on!" Draco giggled and pulled Harry's hand. "We gotta catch them." Draco pleaded half giggling.
Harry laughed and joined him in running and jumping up after the delicate creatures. Harry was unprepared for the joy he felt, it was overwhelming. He couldn't help the laughter that finally toppled him into Draco. They both coollapsed onto the soft grass. Thought it was now november the grass was still lush and wonderful here. When both boys had stopped laughing they simply laid there in eachothers arms. Their breath still quick and a bit labored, but contented in their shared moment.
Harry grinned and bent his head to Draco's and kissed his forehead. The blonde stirred gently and sighed softly. Ron and Hermione had joined them under the tree as the afternoon sun had settled over their blanket. Ron looked at Harry and Draco, then said in a whisper, "You know, if you guys wanted some alone time, 'Mione and I are going to stay here. Maybe you could get some romance in? That way, I wouldn't feel so selfish." Hermione jabbed him with her elbow. He looked at her guiltily.
"I don't think I am ready for that quite yet, Ron. Thanks anyway, though." Draco had opened his eyes to move around so he was settled on Harry's chest. "He sure sleeps alot." 'JAB' "I mean how does he get anything done?" 'JAB JAB' "Ouch, 'Mione quit, I was just being observant like you always tell me to be." "I told you to be observant, not rude, you git." She spat angrily.
Ron looked over at Harry apologetic eyes and a fat lower lip. "It's alright, I don't think he heard you." As Harry had said that, Draco's left eye opened and winked at Ron, a small smile creeping across his lips. Ron was about to point it out, when he thought better of it.
When they all had returned to Griffyndor's common room later that evening, Professor Xaivier was waiting for them. He had his wheelchair facing the fireplace as when Harry and Draco had first met him almost a month ago. "Draco, are you up to starting classes tomorrow?" "I think so, can I ask a favor?" Harry looked shocked. "Of course lad." Xaivier's read that of a kind father. "Can I have our first sesion alone?" Harry's face drooped as his jaw slacked. "Certainly, come after Potions, Mister Potter can come after divination." And with a cloud of what appeared to be smoke, the professor was gone.
Draco could see what was on Harry's mind and he knew he was in for it. So he made a quick exist to the showers. Ron followed gesturing Hermione to hold Harry off. From the look Harry gave her, she knew she was in deep trouble. No book talked about this stuff at all.
~~~~
Ron entered the showers, Draco was already in the midst of showering. Ron was unsure of how to start such an awkward conversation. "When are you going to tell him Draco?" "I don't know what you mean Ron." Draco shot irritated. "Come off it, Mal....Draco. You've got to." "I haven't got to." Draco cut him off. "I can't, not yet, he won't understand." The last sentence was obviously painful. Had the shower not been running, Ron was sure Draco had tears in his eyes.
"I'll tell him then." Ron said softly. This caused Draco to go over to Ron and death glare him though he stopped at that and the eyes told the story, pleading. "Please Ron, I'll tell him when I am ready." Tears were quite visible now. "Ok, Ok mate. I won't say a word, I'm sorry please don't cry. I didn't mean to." Ron wrapped the naked form of Draco Malfoy in a tight hug.
