Teddy Bear

Harry woke up and quietly swore to himself that he would quit fainting.
That had been quite embarrassing. Fainting two times in less than a
day. He sat up and looked around the room. He was no longer in the
infirmary, but in his own room. He sighed with contentment and fell
back into his squishy matress.


Life would now be getting good. He never had to return to the Dursleys,
he was now seventeen, this was his final year in Hogwarts, and
the-asshole-who-wouldn\'t-just-fucking-die, Voldemort, was finally
dead. How much better could life get?


Then he remembered the downsides and his spirits dropped. He was
a veela, which apparently no one had had any idea of. He was now an
even bigger hero than he was and had no intention of hurrying back
out into the public\'s gaze. And he had one year of Hogwarts left to
go.


He smothered his face into his pillow when there was a knock on his
door. He didn\'t look up or answer, but his door opened any way.
The silenced stretched before Harry finally removed the pillow to see
who had entered his room.


Draco was standing there, watching Harry with an amused grin. \"If
you\'re trying to kill yourself, I think a poison would work far more
effectively.\" Harry glared at him.


\"Hardy har har har. Go fuck yourself.\" He growled and returned the
pillow to his face. He heard Draco walk across the room and remove
the pillow.


\"You\'re acting far more spoiled than I ever did.\" He informed Harry,
who gave him a disbelieving look.


\"Oh really? Who was talking about smuggling a broom into
Hogwarts his first year?\" Harry demanded. Draco had the decency
to look ashamed of himself.


\"I was young. I was foolish. I didn\'t know what the real world was
like yet. I spent most of my time on the estate as a child. You
were the first person my age that I ever really spoke to.\" Draco
admitted. Harry gave him a disbelieving look.


\"You\'re kidding me.\"


\"No, I\'m not. The only people who ever came to visit the manor
was Uncle Sev. Oh, you don\'t know what happened to him, do
you?\" Draco asked, jumping onto the bed. Harry sat up now.


\"What happened to him?\" He asked, a knot forming in his
stomach. He had begun to develope feelings for Snape after his
godfather, Sirius had died. He felt a little guilty about it, thinking
that perhaps he had been waiting for Sirius to die so he could
love in peace without his criticism of the one he chose to love.


\"He apparently took a potion right after the battle that made
him a kid, but something happened to his memories and he
doesn\'t remember who he is, where he is, or even when it is. He\'s
totally out there. Dumbledore sent him away for a bit, to the
Weasley\'s, to try and regain his memory since no one knows
what was in the potion that he took, because apparently it was
of Severus\'s own make. And since Severus doesn\'t remember
anything, no one can get into Severus\'s rooms to find his potion
journal to find out what is was.\" Draco explained.


\"Why can\'t they get in?\"


\"Because Severus changed the password right before the battle
began and didn\'t report it to Dumbledore, so now no one
knows it. All of the staff members and dad tried everything they
could to open it, but they failed to succeed. Dad\'s still pouting
about it. Which reminds me, he wants you to come live in our
rooms while we train you to control your veela powers.\" Draco
said in a rush, obviously excited. Somehow, Harry took all of
this in stride.


\"Alright, but leave me alone. I want some time alone to think.\"
Harry informed Draco, who nodded and left. Harry fell back into
his squishy bed once more, with a sigh.


Why would Severus do that?
