Hermione lied her head against the cool glass of the airplane window and tired to fall asleep. It had been two hours since they took off from the airport, which meant that they still had 13 more to go. It was close to five o'clock in the morning, and already Hermione could see the darkness of the night starting to lift. It made her even more tired to think that she had only gotten an hour's worth of uncomfortable sleep throughout the entire night. She hoped that wherever they were staying when they arrived in Nagoya had comfortable beds.
Hermione's mind drifted back to the take off and a small smile crept over her face. Malfoy had been beside himself as the plane began to speed across the ground before lifting into the air. His knuckles were white as he grasped hold of the hand rests and his jaw was tense. His eyes were focused most dedicatedly on a spot on the seat in front of him. At one point he actually turned to her and asked "Is this supposed to happen?" Hermione smiled and nodded and once again he muttered, "Bloody muggle contraptions", a phrase that Hermione was getting quite used to.
It was almost worth the trouble of the mission to see Malfoy in states she had never seen him in before. She loved to see the pompous fool in situations he couldn't understand. It made him more human, and less like the god he thought of himself.
Hermione glanced over at him and rolled her eyes. After the first hour he seemed to of gotten a hold of himself. Not long ago he had called a flight attendant over and had asked for a coffee.
"Would your wife like something as well?" she asked, eyeing Hermione with an odd expression.
Draco smiled and took her hand into his own. "She's just a business associate," he told her with a grin. Her smile grew wider over her face and she lifted a hand to flick her long blond hair over her shoulder.
"I'll be right back with your coffee," she said, her eyes scanning over his body with a heated glare. Hermione snorted and shook her head.
"You're ridiculous," she muttered. Draco ran his hands through his hair and smiled.
"I can't help that women find me irresistible," he said. "She's actually quite sexy for a muggle, don't you think?" he asked, leaning toward Hermione.
"I wouldn't know, Malfoy," Hermione said in a bored tone, staring out the window. Draco sat upright again and shook his head.
"Quit denying it Granger. You're a fruit and you know it."
The flight attendant came back with Draco's coffee in hand, this time with fresh lipstick on her lips and the top button of her uniform undone. "Here's your coffee, sir," she said in a low tone, her eyebrow raised in suggestion. Draco smiled and took the coffee from her and then placed it on the tray in front of him. "Is there anything else I can do for you?" she asked with a smile. Draco glanced at Hermione and grinned and then grabbed hold of the bottom of his sweater and lifted it up over his head. His shirt clung to his sweater for a moment, rising with it so that they got a glance of the bottom of his hard, muscular stomach, until it dropped back down into place. The shirt he wore underneath was a white cotton, and it showed the wideness of his arms and the broadness of his chest. He looked like he belonged on the cover of a woman's magazine, and he knew it.
Draco folded his sweater and placed it next to him, "It's a little hot in here," he said, eyeing the woman who was practically drooling over him. Her eyes ran down his chest and then focused on him once more. She pushed out her lips and placed her hand on her hip before leaning over Draco slowly and lifting her hand to the knob above him.
"This little knob here," she said, running her fingers suggestively over and around it, "is the air. You just turn it on the air comes...flowing...out." Hermione could no longer stand it.
"Yes, well. Thanks a lot. I think we've got it from here," Hermione snapped at her. The flight attendant glared daggers at Hermione before standing up right again and stomping away. Hermione rolled her eyes and crossed her arms and turned to stare out the window once more.
Draco grinned at turned to her. "Jealous, Granger?" he asked.
Hermione flung her head around to face him, a look of horror on her face. "Jealous?! You're both pigs and I wish you all the happiness in the world! But if you want to have eye sex with her than do it away from me!" She whispered in a furious tone. Draco snorted and lifted his coffee to his mouth for a sip.
"Eye sex?" he asked into his cup. Hermione moaned in frustration and turned away from him.
Another hour passed. Then three, then four. They had been flying for 5 hours when Hermione was finally able to fall asleep, her head resting against the back of her seat and her feet crossed in front of her. Draco was reading the Air Travel Guide for the third time in a row when he was suddenly pulled from his reading as Hermione's head fell from its position to rest on his shoulder. He stiffened instantly and was about to push her off of him when he paused and thought about the consequences.
It would wake her up, and Draco could not deny that that in itself would be a nuisance. She'd turn red from the situation and probably yell at him for being an ass or something. He decided that it might just be better to leave her asleep.
Draco went back to reading and after a few moments, he found that the smell of her hair wasn't all that unpleasant. Every once and awhile she'd nudge her cheek against his shoulder in an effort to become more comfortable, and Draco couldn't help but admit that it was sort of cute. Another hour had passed before Draco found that exhaustion made it impossible for his eyes to focus on reading any longer.
Draco carefully leaned his chair backwards into a more comfortable position, bringing Hermione with him as he did so. He leaned his head against the seat and Hermione shifted upwards so that her chin now leaned against his shoulder. Her mouth was only a few inches from his neck and every puff of air she released sent her warm breath against his skin, causing Draco's eyes to widen at the sensation.
His eyes darted back and forth and he was relieved to see that most of the passengers around him were asleep. A shiver ran up his back at the feeling of her breath running down his neck, and he found that he couldn't help it when his eyes drifted close once more. A small moan escaped her lips, so close to his ear that it felt like she was teasing all of his senses at once. Draco was not surprised when his body began to react.
He could feel his cock straining against his pants, and he slowly crossed his leg to cover it. Never had he reacted so strongly to something so innocent...
He couldn't help but feel disappointed when Hermione shifted once more so that her cheek again rested against his shoulder. The loss of her warmth made him feel surprisingly empty. And then suddenly, he was pulled back to reality...
This was Granger!
Draco opened his eyes and nudged his elbow into her stomach. She groaned and then released a tiny shriek as she sat straight in her seat.
"Malfoy, you ass!" She hissed at him. Draco smirked and shook his head.
"I had to wake you up before you started drooling on my shirt," he said as he closed his eyes and shifted in his seat. "Just can't stay away from me, can you?" Hermione's face was burning red and as she turned as far sideways as she could go and rested her chin on her hand.
Asshole...
An hour later the flight attendants came around to serve people lunch and coffee. Hermione wanted to know the time, and instead of asking Draco, who constantly checked his watch, she asked the woman who had been flirting with him earlier.
"It's half passed 12," she answered with a fake smile. She then glanced down at Draco and licked her lips before walking off again.
Hermione sipped on a coffee and read a magazine for another hour until the captain's voice announced that they would be starting a movie in a few moments. The flight attendants then came around and handed everyone a pair of headphones. Draco stared at his for a few moments with a raised eyebrow before pushing them into the seat pocket in front of him and folding his hands over his stomach.
Hermione plugged her headphones into the armrest and sat back in her chair, excited that there was something that would entertain her for an hour or two. She hadn't seen a muggle movie in a long time.
Small TV's were planted into the seats in front of everyone, and Hermione watched as the movie, "My Best Friends Wedding" came up on the screen. Within the first few moments of the movie she was chuckling quietly to herself and grinning behind her palm. Draco peaked at her out of the corner of his eye and then glanced at the screen.
"What's so funny?" He asked Hermione, who saw his lips move but did not hear what he said. She lifted the left side of her headphones and narrowed her eyes.
"Huh?" she asked.
"I said," he sighed, "What. is. so. funny?" Hermione shook her head and faced forward once more.
"The movie," she answered, no longer looking at him. "Why don't you stick your headphones in and watch it. It'll help pass the time at least." Draco watched her carefully for a few more moments before he reached forward and pulled the headphones back out of the seat pocket in front of him. He slid them out of the plastic bag that they came in and turned them around in his hand, inspecting them carefully. He glanced around at the other passengers and saw that they had slipped the crude thing onto the top of their heads and over their ears.
"I'm not putting this thing on my head," he said, a disgusted look on his face. Hermione didn't answer and Draco looked back down at the strange thing and sighed.
If only he weren't so bored...
...Considering the company that he was in, Draco decided that maybe just this once, it wouldn't be too big of a deal to lower himself to a muggle's level.
He slowly slid the headphones over his head, pushing his hair back as he did so. He left it over his ears and patted them a few times before grabbing the end of the headphones and glancing at Hermione.
She had plugged the end of hers into a little medal hole in the armrest and Draco quickly found that his had the same thing. He plugged it in and then slowly raised his finger to the screen in front of him and pressed it.
All of a sudden a loud noise bursted into his ears and he threw off the headphones and reached into his pocket for his wand. He was breathing hard as he turned to Hermione, who was staring at him with wide eyes and a grin on her face.
"Alright, Malfoy?" she asked with a small chuckle. Draco glared at her and settled back down in his seat before pushing the headphones back onto his ears, now knowing what to expect.
If only my father was here to see me now...Draco thought while watching the movie screen in front of him.
Oddly enough, he couldn't help but grin.

Hermione's entire left leg was completely numb and out of the corner of her eye, should could see Draco's leg bouncing wildly in his seat. They had just gotten the news that they were beginning their decent and never before had she been so anxious to get up and walk around. It felt like the journey had taken days and she was beyond excited to get to their hotel and into a nice, warm bed.
Hermione smiled as she glanced over at Draco. He looked unusually messy and it pleased her to no end.
His normally pressed and spotless clothes were wrinkled and a small coffee stain sat on the bottom of his white shirt. His hair, though still perfect, was tucked behind his ears and had a slight wave to it that she had never before seen. His chin sported a 5'oclock shadow and his eyes were bloodshot. He still looked damn sexy and she was sure it made little difference to the women around him, but it was nice to see him a little disheveled. She couldn't tease him too much though. She was sure she looked ten times worse.
Her hair had fallen out of it's ponytail holder while she was asleep and it was now twisted up in a pencil, leaving a few curly strands to fall around her face. Her eyes were burning from getting so little sleep over the last 24 hours, and she didn't doubt that she had large bags under them both. Her clothes were wrinkled (little difference there) and her neck was so sore she feared she'd never feel comfortable again.
25 minutes later and they arrived at Nagoya Airport.
Hermione had to physically stop herself from skipping through the tunnel and out of the airplane. She was so happy that they finally arrived, at the moment she didn't even mind the fact that her traveling companion was the devil himself.
Once they reached the main lobby, Draco and Hermione separated ways to use the bathrooms. Hermione took this chance to brush her teeth and hair and make herself more presentable. What she really wanted was a nice warm shower, but that would have to wait.
She was washing her hands when two Japanese women walked into the bathroom and started eyeing her. They were whispering to each other in Japanese and that reminded Hermione of the tiny black pill that was still tucked away in her pocket. She pulled it out and eyed it for a moment before scooping up a handful of water and then swallowing it. She felt a little pop in her ear, and then the foreign language that the two women were speaking slowly faded into English and Hermione grinned.
"Look, she just drank sink water..." said one of the women as she eyed Hermione and spread red lipstick over her lips.
"I wonder if all Americans look that sloppy," said the other. Hermione grabbed her bag from the sink and started to walk out.
"I'm British," she said as she walked by them and although she did not hear herself speaking japanese, she knew that they understood her. "And you really shouldn't talk about people when they're standing right next to you." Both of the women stared at her with wide eyes and Hermione smirked as she left the bathroom.
When she walked back out into the lobby, she saw Draco leaning against the opposite wall with his arms crossed and his head bowed. She shook her head when she saw that his hair was once again perfectly straight, his face was shaved and his clothes were free of all imperfections. He looked up as she approached him and then pushed himself straight once more.
"You're not supposed to use unnecessary magic," Hermione muttered to him. He smirked and shoved his hands into his pockets as he began to walk forward.
"It was necessary," he muttered back.
They made their way over to the baggage claim and waited for the lift to start carrying luggage through the opening. A small group of teenage girls stood a short distance away, huddled together and giggling madly as they eyed Draco.
"I bet he's a movie star," one of them said. Hermione closed her eyes and sighed. This was really getting on her nerves. She glanced up at Draco and saw that he had a tiny smirk on his face, which showed that he too took the pill and now understood what they were saying.
"He's so hot! I bet that's his natural hair color!"
"Why don't you go ask him, Asuka!" the girls started giggling again and Hermione found that the noise bothered her ears.
"But he's got a girl with him." Draco raised an eyebrow at Hermione, who rolled her eyes.
"Naw, she's probably just his assistant." Hermione felt her patience snap. She turned around to face them and glared.
"Will you get lost?" she said, waving her hand around as if she was trying to swat away an annoying fly. Once again Hermione got looks of shock. They were surprised to see a foreigner speak their language so clearly. The girls pouted as they took one last look at Draco and walked away. Hermione heard Draco chuckle when she faced forward again, and she took in a sharp breath.
"Don't...say a word," she hissed at him.
A few moments later a loud beep signaled that the bags were beginning their rotation. Hermione was pleased to find that their trunks were amongst the first out of the opening and she got ready to grab hers as it passed by. As she leaned forward to grab it, Draco did the same and lifted the heavy thing up over the rail and placed it beside her and then went to grab his own.
It was odd, but Hermione was finding that he could be somewhat of a gentleman at times.
Very...rare times.
They then walked toward the entrance of the airport where they were told the woman named Ari would be waiting for them. Sure enough amongst the crowd, a single woman stood with a smile on her face as she looked at them.
She was beautiful - the vision of Japanese perfection. Her long silky black hair flowed behind her in thick shiny waves. Her almond shaped eyes were a richer brown than Hermione's and were ringed by long lashes. Her skin was so white that Hermione wondered if she had ever before seen the sunlight and the effect made her look like a porcelain doll - only to be seen but never touched.
But touching was the only thing on Draco's mind. His eyes traveled up over Ari's frame and a smile of approval crept onto his lips. He stuck his hand into his pocket and bowed his head to her.
"Ari, I presume?" he asked with a raised eyebrow. Ari smiled at them both and bowed, causing her hair to spill over her shoulder and nearly touch the ground.
"And you must be Mr. Malfoy and Ms. Granger," she said. "Welcome to Nagoya. I trust that your journey was well?" Hermione smiled at her. Ari seemed very modest despite her beautiful appearance.
"It was long," Hermione sighed. Ari nodded with an understanding look on her face.
"I'm sure you are very tired," she said. "Come, Nagoya Castle is only a short drive away." Ari then turned and led Hermione and Draco out of the airport and to a remote section of the parking garage where a long black limo sat alone. Ari turned to them and smiled.
"The Ministry has aloud us take you by faster means of transportation," she said. Hermione glanced over the limo - appearing to be no different than any other. "Without magic, the drive would take up to three hours. I have personally placed several charms around it, so there is no chance of us being seen, muggle or not."
The driver opened the door for them to slide inside and then packed their luggage into the trunk. He then climbed inside and started the engine.
Draco glanced around the limo, and for once was pleased. He hated driving in these muggle automobiles, but this particular one suited him just fine. He spread his legs out in front of him and then glanced at Ari, who sat across from him with her legs crossed.
She was beautiful and he could easily imagine pounding into her with the force of a thousand gods. But somehow he doubted that she would be as easy to bed. She seemed very modest and polite, not at all like the women he was used to. But he did not doubt he'd get her before the end...
The car rolled out of the parking garage as if it was floating, and Draco could feel little as it made a sharp turn out onto a busy road. Outside, he could see that the sky was almost completely dark. Tall mountains circled the city and he could see that other than this small area, the place was pretty remote.
They passed cars and houses that appeared to be little more than streaks of light as they flew by at alarming speeds. No one seemed to notice them as they passed though, and Draco was pleased to see that Ari could wield a wand so well.
It took little more than 15 minutes to arrive in front of Nagoya Castle, though Draco could tell that they had traveled a great distance. It was nightfall now and he guessed close to 8:30 at night. The air was crisp and cool and the promise of winter hung around them. Hermione shivered and pulled her sweater tighter around her arms as she glanced over the castle in front of her.
She could see that it was quite old. The walls were built with stone and it stood close to 10 stories high. She couldn't make out how wide it was, but she didn't doubt that it was a very large place.
"Welcome to Nagoya Castle," Ari smiled at her as she motioned for them to follow her inside. They entered in through a large archway and then walked through glass doors. It was beautiful inside - on the walls hung many old paintings of scenery and flowers. The floor was carpeted with a dark red rug, with elaborate designs weaved throughout. The lighting was very dim and many candles hung around the walls. It didn't seem like a very traditional place, and Hermione felt very comfortable inside. It almost gave her the feeling of being back at Hogwarts, the air around the place felt ancient.
Ari led them toward the main desk where a tall man stood with a blank expression. "I need two room keys," Ari told him. "Top floor." The man nodded his head and grabbed two gold keys from the wall behind him and placed them into Ari's open hand. She turned to them and handed one key to both of them.
"Your stay here is complementary," she smiled. "Stay for as long as you like." Hermione smiled back at her.
Ari then turned and walked toward a hallway on the opposite side of the room. Hermione and Draco followed behind her as she walked through and stopped in front of an elevator. A man stood inside with a red coat and top hat and opened the medal gate for them to enter. Once they were inside Ari turned to him.
"Top floor," she said, and the man closed the gate and grabbed hold of a lever in front of him. He pushed it all the way up and the elevator jerked to life as it began rising upward.
Hermione watched as they passed through the stone walls and many different floors. They finally came to a stop and the man opened to gate and stepped to the side to allow them to pass by.
Ari stopped in front of a large door and turned to Hermione, "This is your room," she smiled at her, and Hermione nodded her thanks as Ari stepped aside. "Your trunk should arrive in a few moments. If you need anything at all then dial 1 on your phone and my staff will be more than happy to serve you. Breakfast is served at 8 a.m. in the main dining hall on the 2nd floor." She bowed to Hermione, "Goodnight." Hermione bowed back.
"Thank you for everything," she said. Ari smiled widely at her and then turned to walk farther down the hall where a second door waited. Draco turned to look at Hermione and cleared his throat.
"Well then. See you in the morning, Granger," he said as he turned to follow Ari. Hermione opened her door and sighed.
"Yeah, 'night Malfoy."
Hermione closed the door behind her and dropped her purse to the floor. She kicked off her shoes and walked into the bedroom and sighed once more. She didn't even take the time to look at her surroundings before jumping onto her bed and falling asleep.
She could worry about everything else in the morning.

You didn't think that I could make almost an entire chapter of them sitting on an airplane, huh? Well I did it alright, and although it was probably really boring, I'm pretty proud of myself.
