Everyone in the room froze. Madame Pomfrey had an epiphany
moment and everything clicked into place. She finally understood why Ginny felt
that her children would be in danger. She saw the fury in Snape’s eyes and felt
sorry for the poor teen. It was just one stressful decision after another for
her.
Ginny couldn’t speak she was so shocked to see him there. It
didn’t take long for the shock to bleed into fear and guilt. She realized that
maybe Professor Snape wasn’t as cold hearted as he played out to be in front of
everyone else.
Maybe he would have wanted her to keep the babies. The vial
fell from her hands and onto the white sheets. Without the cap, the liquid
inside the bottle spilled onto the sheets. Ginny stared down at the puddle,
unable to meet Snape’s eyes.
“You were going to do it weren’t you? You were going to
terminate the baby without me knowing,” Snape said quietly.
“Babies,” Madame Pomfrey automatically corrected.
If anything, Snape’s expression became even more murderous.
Ginny continued to stare down at her lap. She could feel his
anger rolling of his body in waves. She bit her lip and felt warm tears
trickling down her cheeks.
“Professor—Ginny was only doing what she thought was best.
She knew it would be hard for both of you to go on with this pregnancy with the
war going on,”
Snape looked away from Ginny and focused his attention onto
Hermione. He couldn’t even smile down at her coldly he was so angry.
“Always a fucking know-it-all aren’t you Granger? Looking at
the situation logically without thinking about the actual emotional turmoil
terminating this pregnancy will cause both me and Weasley. You have a lot of
nerve trying to manipulate our lives to what you think is best. You’re no
better than Dumbledore,”
Hermione felt as if she had been slapped. She only wanted to
make sure her friend was happy and she got chewed out for it. Not only that but
she felt guilty because what he said was true—it was only after he began to
talk about the emotional strain terminating a baby would cause that she really
looked at her friend.
Ginny looked fifty years older—very tired and worn. She
didn’t know why she didn’t see how unhappy Ginny seemed in making a decision
that seemed right.
Hermione ground her teeth but said nothing else. It was her
harsh lesson in learning that sometimes good intentions could be marred with
not so good actions.
Before Snape could spew out more hurtful things to the
girls, Madame Pomfrey stepped in.
“That is enough Professor Snape. Yelling at these girls will
do nothing. The twins are still alive and now you and Miss Weasley will have a
chance to talk it all through all of the options together,” she said putting a
comforting hand on Ginny’s shoulder.
Snape’s blood was still boiling and he couldn’t bring
himself to calm down.
“You—you were going to let her take it without consulting
me. How could you?”
“I could because of patient confidentiality. I am magically
bound to do everything I can to help the patient. The magic would not allow me
to ask any personal questions unless it would endanger her health. Asking who
the father was unnecessary in making her better so I couldn’t ask it,” Madame
Pomfrey said calmly.
Professor Snape looked away from Madame Pomfrey and focused
his attention back on Ginny.
“I’m getting Dumbledore and he will help us to see what
options we have in keeping these twins,” he said coldly.
“Professor,” Ginny whispered.
“I have nothing to say to you at the moment Miss Weasley.
All I ask is that you don’t fuck up by killing our children while I’m gone,”
With that Snape swept out of the room. He ran into Draco in the hallway who
stood on the other side of the wall studying his finger nails.
“What are you doing here? Get to class!” Snape barked.
Draco was about to sneer and threaten Snape with his father
and the Dark Lord but he took one look at Snape’s face and knew better. The man
was looking for a reason to blast him across the hallway. Whatever happened in
that room did not put the dark man in a better mood.
“Yes sir,” he murmured, running to his class.
It was obvious to Snape that lunch was over and that one of
his classes were probably waiting for him to show up. Snape glanced at a clock
on a wall near him and realized class started twenty minutes ago. Dumbledore
was sure to be in his classroom, monitoring the students and waiting for him to
show.
Snape walked toward the class, hexing ghost while he did so.
He needed to find some way to work off the anger he had deep in his heart.
He couldn’t believe Weasley would do that. He thought for
sure she would panic but not to the point of where she would actually kill the
children they created together. He thought what they had shared together was something
special, something she would want to keep—not something she would want to
destroy when she found out about it. Was he really that disgusting to be with?
Snape didn’t want to think about the tears that stained
Ginny’s cheeks as she was about to drink the potion or the sadness and shame in
her eyes as he yelled at her.
For some reason, it was easier for him to think of her
betraying him then it was to think about her wanting to spare him the anguish
her pregnancy would no doubt cause for him on both sides of the war.
Hell, Snape didn’t even know why he wanted her to keep the
babies. He never thought he would disagree with Ginny’s decision—it really did
make life less complex. They already had a bond to deal with; they didn’t need
to add children to the mix.
Those reasons and the fact that Snape never wanted to be a
father. He wasn’t heir to the Snape name so he had no reason to marry and have
children.
Snape blinked at the door of his classroom. He had been so
deep into his thoughts he hadn’t noticed that he finally made it to his
destination.
He burst into the classroom, ignoring all of the students
there. Dumbledore sat at his desk with a cherry smile on his face.
“Class dismissed,” Snape barked.
One dark look at his face was all the students needed to jet
out of the classroom.
As soon as the class was empty, Snape began to speak again.
“I need your assistance in the Hospital Wing,”
Dumbledore’s expression never changed.
“Of course Severus—this doesn’t have anything to do with
Miss Weasley by chance does it?” he asked standing from Snape’s desk.
“Don’t plan dumb with me Albus. You know this has everything
to do with Miss Weasley,” Snape said in an irritated voice.
“Will you tell me what happened on our way there Severus?”
Snape waved his wand and let a silencing spell settle over
them. When Dumbledore raised an eyebrow Snape said, “The prissy spoiled
pureblooded prat of Slytherin has been following me and I can’t risk having him
hear this conversation,”
Dumbledore nodded his head to show that he understood and
listened to Snape’s whole story.
“Why didn’t you tell me about this when it happened
Severus?” Dumbledore asked.
Snape opened his mouth to answer but closed it again. He
didn’t know why he didn’t tell Dumbledore. Usually, if something this important
happened, Dumbledore would be the first to know.
“I think it’s the bond Albus—maybe you weren’t meant to know
yet and the magic prevented me from confessing,”
“I think you’re right Severus. I knew something different
happened but for some reason things like paper work and unruly students didn’t
give me a chance to find out,”
Dumbledore stroked his long beard, staring straight ahead
but not really staring at anything.
“This bond is very peculiar Severus. How much research have
you done on it?”
“I haven’t been able to do much but know-it-all has narrowed
it down to ten choices,”
Snape ground his teeth when he had to mention Hermione.
Dumbledore heard it and raised an eyebrow.
“Not today Albus—I am not in any kind of forgiving mood for
that Gryffindor. She knew I didn’t
know but allowed Weasley to go through with it even when she didn’t want to do
it—why she was no better than you are when you think you’re doing something
good for everyone!”
Dumbledore made a sound in the back of his throat but didn’t
say anything else on the matter. It was his way of saying Snape was right
though he never liked to admit such a thing out loud. He meddled; he would be
the first to admit it.
He also knew that his meddling hurt the people he wanted to
help the most. He lived with that reality, knowing that his intentions were
good but his actions sometimes played out in the wrong way.
“You are sure Miss Weasley wants to keep the twins?”
Dumbledore asked.
“I’m positive she wants to keep the children Albus,”
“Then I believe you only have one solution to this
situation,”
---
For the second time that day, Madame Pomfrey had to ward and
silence the hospital wing only this time, it was because of Ginny and not
Snape.
“You want me to what!?”
“You have to join the Voldemort’s army Miss Weasley,”
Dumbledore said pleasantly.
“Oi—now hold on here! I’ve already been under the influence
of some bonding potion we know nothing about and forced to shag my teacher. I’m
sixteen years old and pregnant with his children. That’s already complicated
enough! Now you want me to become a Death Eater on top of all of that?”
Ginny nearly jumped from the bed and the only reason she
stayed down was because Madame Pomfrey held her in place.
Hermione had been told to go back to class by Dumbledore
after they walked in on her comforting a sobbing Ginny Weasley.
After Madame Pomfrey gave Ginny a calming potion, and she
managed to get her sobs down to silent tears, Dumbledore explained to Ginny
what she would have to do to keep her children.
Snape sat by the window, staring at her silently with a dark
expression on his face.
“It’s the only way for you to stay safe Miss Weasley. If you don’t become an
ally for the Dark Lord you will become a target. Swearing your allegiance to
him will ensure that Death Eaters will leave you alone,” Dumbledore said in a
soothing voice.
Ginny ran her long fingers through her thick hair and stared
at the empty bed in front of her.
“There has to be another way,” she muttered
“If there were another way Miss Weasley, I would have you do
that instead. Being a double agent will be hard work but it’s what you have to
do to keep your children safe,”
“What about my family?” Ginny asked finally looking up from her hands.
“What about them dear?”
“How much do I have to tell them?”
“Everything I’m afraid,”
Ginny sank into her bed, holding back the tears that wanted to escape. This
isn’t what she asked for. How was she going to tell her family? They were going
to kill her.
Her mother and father would be very disappointed. It was bad enough she was
always getting into trouble at school and breaking their rules. Now she
committed the number on sin the Weasley daughter could commit—pregnancy. She
would be surprised if they didn’t disown her on the spot.
Ginny let out a shaky sigh and looked at the expectant men
and nodded her head.
She would take the fucking Dark Mark, spy for the order, and
have her children. At that point, she would do everything she could to protect
them.
Snape let out a breath he didn’t know he had been holding.
What she was taking on was something he wouldn’t ask his worst enemy to do. It
made him feel bad for yelling at her earlier that day—after all she understood
that no pregnancy was much more simplistic than pregnancy. He had just been too
angry to logically think through it all.
‘Oh fuck does that
mean I’ll have to apologize to the know-it-all for being right?’
Snape shifted and leaned against the window sill again. He
thought of the smug look on Granger’s face for hearing him apologize.
‘No, I’ll just write
her a letter of recommendation for college. She probably wouldn’t see mine in
the pile she’ll be sure to get from every teacher in the castle,’
“Don’t worry Miss Weasley—this plan will take a little while to implement
completely. You’ll have a few more weeks before you are forced to tell your
family. Until then, speak with Professor Snape about your plans for the
pregnancy and babies and figure it all out so that you will have some good
things to tell your family when you see them,”
Ginny snuck a glance at Professor Snape whose gaze bore into
hers.
She looked away and stared down at her clean white sheets,
the potion spill being cleaned up with a simple flick of Madame Pomfrey’s wand.
The man was like a light switch. One moment he was close to murdering her and
the next he looked like he wanted to shag her senseless.
“Thank you Professor,” Ginny finally said into the somewhat
awkward silence.
Dumbledore patted Ginny’s hand and smiled warmly at her.
“Everything will work out Miss Weasley, that I can promise
you. Now I must get going, I have a school to run you know,”
Dumbledore winked at Ginny who couldn’t help but smile at
the twinkle in his eye.
Dumbledore turned to Snape who finally stopped staring at Ginny long enough to
look at the headmaster.
“I’ll be sure to put a notice up for you on the classroom
door. I take it that you still want to make sure the students do the homework
you planned for them?”
Snape gave Dumbledore a look as if to say ‘What do you
think?’
“Alright Severus, until then,”
Dumbledore patted Ginny’s hand one last time and left the
room.
Madame Pomfrey gave Snape a weary look. He stared at her
patient so intently she was almost afraid to leave them alone.
“It’s okay Madame Pomfrey—he won’t hurt me,” Ginny said
quietly.
The nurse looked down at Ginny who gave her a weak smile.
Madame Pomfrey smiled back warmly while running her hand through Ginny’s hair.
“Just holler if you need me hear?”
“Of course Madame—and thank you so much for being there for
me and supporting me. It means more to me than you know,”
Ginny started to tear up a little when she said that but
managed to hold back her tears and squeeze the nurse’s hand.
“I know dear—stay strong,”
Madame Pomfrey glared at Snape before leaving the room to
give them some privacy.
Snape stared at Ginny for a little longer before slowly
making his way toward her bed.
Ginny stopped breathing, watching him gracefully slide to
her. She didn’t know what he was going to do after being alone with her. He
wasn’t happy about her making a decision without him but she hoped he wouldn’t
be too angry.
Snape finally made it to the side of her bed. He ran a
finger down her cheek, his eyes boring into hers.
“I believe I owe you an apology Miss Weasley—I think you
understood everything you would have to sacrifice for these children better
than I did. You were doing what you thought was best and I had no right to yell
at you for trying to do the right thing,”
Ginny placed her hand over his and pressed her cheek into
his palm even more.
“I understand Professor—I actually thank you for stopping
me. I don’t think I would have forgiven myself if I had gone through with the
termination. I honestly think I would have chickened out anyway,”
“Be that as it may—I am sorry,”
Ginny smiled up at him.
“Apology accepted,”
---
Hermione was waiting for Ginny by the fire with Ron and Harry after Ginny was
released from the Hospital Wing after dinner. Ginny made her way over to them
even though all she wanted to do was go to bed and get some much needed sleep.
Harry lit up like a Christmas tree as she got closer which made her groan
inwardly. Why couldn’t he take a hint?
She was finally over the Boy-Who-Lived. It had all simply been a silly
schoolgirl crush after all.
“Are you okay Gin? Hermione said Madame Pomfrey had you in the hospital wing
all day today,” Ron asked, extending his hour long ‘break’ from his homework to
talk with his sister.
Ginny sat next to Hermione.
“Yes, I’m fine. Just haven’t been feeling well for a while. Madame Pomfrey gave
me a pepper up potion and I feel as good as new,” Ginny said.
“I’m glad you’re okay Gin—you had us all worried,” said Harry.
Ginny resisted the urge to roll her eyes.
“Well I’m fine now but I’m really tired. I’ll talk to you
guys in the morning,”
Ginny pulled herself up and drug her feet to the room.
“I’ll go with you Gin,” Hermione said, worry taking over her
features. Ginny didn’t complain as Hermione grabbed her bag and helped her up
the stairs.
“How come I feel like Hermione knows more about what happened to Ginny this
morning than we do?” asked Ron motioning to Hermione helping Ginny.
“I don’t know Ron. I think something’s up and their both not telling us what it
is,” Harry said pushing his own work away.
“How do you reckon we figure out what their secret is?” Ron
asked.
“I’ll start following Ginny around and find out what’s been going on,” said
Harry
“Good idea mate. Gin’s been a little off this whole month. In fact, every
morning, she’s come to breakfast with Hermione for a whole month. They must be
doing something together that we don’t know about,” Ron said looking
thoughtful.
“I’ll use my cloak tomorrow and I’m sure we’ll figure it out once and for all,”
Both boys nodded to each other, believing it was in Ginny’s best interest that
they pry into her life.
---
The next day, Ginny went down to breakfast feeling much better than she had in
a month thanks to Professor Snape’s morning sickness potion.
He really could be a sweet man when he decided not to be an
asshole. He was concerned with her work load and wanted to make sure she wasn’t
stressed out to the breaking point.
He asked her how her health was and when he found out about
her morning sickness he brewed her a potion and gave it to her.
Snape told her about Draco Malfoy trying to figure out what
was going on and said that they would start planning more about joining the
Dark Lord and what to do with the babies when she went down to his private
rooms the next night.
Ginny had kind of half listened to each word he said. She
had too busy trying to figure out ways to shag the man to death when she was
allowed back into his private rooms.
She knew that it would be a matter of time before she raped
him in a very inappropriate place. His eyes, his voice, his hands—all of those
features connected to a lean body that always stood erect in confidence made
her knickers soak with sexual longing.
Ginny knew that part of it was the bond but a little part of
her had always been attracted to Severus Snape (every girl in Hogwarts was
attracted to him in some way).
Ginny snapped out of her thoughts when she noticed that she was staring at
Snape and he was glaring at her from his table.
She blushed and went back to her breakfast.
Across the Great Hall, Draco noticed the small interaction
and ran his fingers through his hair. He still wasn’t any closer figuring out
what was going on with Weasley and Snape.
If he didn’t know any better, he would say that they shagged
themselves senseless from the way they looked at each other when they thought
no one else was looking.
The owl post came through the windows of the Great Hall and
dropped letters in front of lucky receivers for the morning.
Draco received a thick envelope. He opened it up and glanced
at its contents with a huge grin. Sometimes, it paid to be king of Slytherin.
He stood from his seat and made his way to class. Draco
would confront Weasley all right, and with the information he had in his hand,
he was sure to get the truth out of her, one way or another.
---
Ginny made her way down to the dungeons after a long day of classes. It had
been difficult for her to concentrate, especially in Professor Snape’s class.
The bastard knew she wanted to shag him senseless and he used it against her.
When he circled around the class to make sure everyone was
making their potions the right way, he made sure she felt the heat of his body
on her back. By the time the class was over, Ginny was wired. She was sure if
Snape wanted to make her cum, all he would have had to do was touch her with
his fingers.
Ginny sighed and continued to make her way to her
destination.
She didn’t realize Harry Potter was
following her close behind under his invisibility cloak.
“What are you doing down here Weasel?”
Draco Malfoy stepped out of the shadows to sneer down at Ginny. He wore a black
turtle neck with slacks that hugged his lower torso deliciously. His
blonde/white hair was combed neatly atop his head. His beautiful blue eyes
shone brightly as if to say, ‘I know something you don’t want me to know,’
Harry had his hand on his wand, ready to hex the tall blonde
if he tried anything funny against the girl he had a crush on,”
“Malfoy,” Ginny said coldly.
“What was your problem yesterday? I had to help the mudblood carry you to the
Hospital Wing?” he asked getting to close for Ginny’s comfort.
“That is none of your business,” Ginny said trying to go around him.
Draco stepped in front of her again and crossed his arms.
“It is my business when you took time out of my day. I’m a very important
person here, you can’t just expect me to carry you there and not tell me what
was wrong,”
“Look I didn’t eat breakfast that day and was feeling a
little light headed—that’s all,”
Ginny tried to go around him but was once again blocked when
he stepped in her path.
“Then why was Snape so worried about you when he found us
carrying you to the Hospital Wing? I heard from a few naughty birds that you
came out of a broom closet with him late one night a month ago. Rumor has it
that you were fucking so hard they could still hear your cries through the
silencing charm and door. He even walked you back to your common room,”
Draco leaned against the wall with that damn sneer on his
face once again.
Panic crossed Ginny’s features before she could do anything about it.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about Malfoy. I wasn’t
anywhere near Professor Snape that day,”
Draco stuck his hand into his robes and took out some
pictures. He handed them to Ginny who quickly shifted through them. There was
one of her walking outside the broom closet with Professor Snape and her pink
nightie—another of them walking in the hallway and one more of him dropping her
off at the Gryffindor Common Room.
“Where did you get these!”
“I have my sources. Now are you going to tell me why you’re
shagging our Professor or do I have to show these to the Headmaster,”
Ginny bit her lip and shifted her weight. She knew she would
have to come up with something. Dumbledore would be forced to either fire Snape
or expel her and that would mess up their whole entire plan.
“You’re a prat—you
know that Malfoy? If you must know what I was doing shagging Professor Snape, I
was paying a toll to get some face time with the Dark Lord,” she said lying
through her teeth.
Harry had to bite his lip hard to stop himself from gasping out loud.
The famous boy held his wand tighter. Something wasn’t right
about this conversation.
Ginny wouldn’t take the dark mark and betray her family would she? Harry
strained to hear the rest of their conversation.
Malfoy’s eye brows jumped to his hair line. His brain
started to work quickly.
“Why would a little blood traitor like you want to join the Dark Lord? And why
would you go to Snape of all people?”
“I know which side is the winning side. I’m pureblood and I deserve to be with
those on my level—not mudbloods, muggles and magical creatures,” Ginny said
bitterly. “I heard through the grapevine that Snape was a Death Eater. I went
to him and he said he would get me in but I had to pay him a fee. I told him
that he knew I was poor and I didn’t have any money so he took the next best
thing that I had,”
To say Draco was shocked was an understatement. It was all he could do to keep
his mouth from hanging open in disbelief.
“You know he’s just using you right?” he blurted out. “All he wanted was a nice fuck. He’ll never
waste his time trying to get you the Dark Mark—he knows the Dark Lord won’t
accept you in his army,”
Ginny smiled darkly.
“Oh he’ll get me face time and I guarantee that I’ll get my
mark. I don’t have Dean Thomas slobbing after me for nothing. There are things
I can do with my mouth that even Professor Snape has never gotten before,”
Draco felt his cock get hard against his better judgment. He
decided to use the situation to his advantage.
“I knew that innocent little school girl act was bullshit,”
Draco said pushing himself from against the wall.
He towered over Ginny again, a little disappointed that she
simply stared at him with her large brown eyes.
“Snape isn’t the best person in the world to be recommended by to the Dark
Lord. My father on the other hand will be able to get you whatever you need
from the Dark Lord. He’ll get you the mark and a high ranking depending on how
much you know about Potter and his friends,”
Ginny rolled her eyes.
“What do you want for me to get it ferret?”
“Whatever you gave Snape and more,” he said smirking.
“I already paid my toll. I know Snape will get me the Dark Mark. That’s why I’m
down here—to prepare for it. In fact, you’ve held me up and Snape’s going to be
pissed that I’m late. Now if you’ll excuse me,”
Ginny moved around Draco to continue her original destination only to have him
grab her arm.
“Don’t think I’ll keep quiet about this affair that you’re having with Snape.
It wouldn’t take much for me to get these pictures to the Headmaster and have
you expelled faster than your head can spin,” he said quietly, squeezing her
arm harder than necessary.
Ginny glared at him and shook his arm off.
“Fine, we’ll shag. Just tell me when.”
Draco smirked and ran his finger down her arm.
“Tomorrow night in the Room of Requirement—you do everything
I tell you to do I’ll keep your little secret from Dumbledore,”
“Alright I’ll be there, now will you let me go?”
Draco let her go and gracefully made his way toward his own common room.
Ginny took a deep breath and continued to walk toward
Snape’s office.
Harry was in shock. He couldn’t believe what had happened in front of his very
own eyes. Ginny Weasley was shagging Snape. And she was going to shag Malfoy to
stop Dumbledore from finding out. Something was off and he was going to find
out what the fuck it was.
Harry followed Ginny to the deepest part of the dungeon where
Snape resided. He couldn’t believe she knew where the slimy git’s private
quarters were. He was about ready to call her out and force her back to the
Order’s side.
Ginny knocked on the door. Snape whipped it open and glared at her, his
annoyance coloring his voice.
“Your twenty minutes late,” he said, opening the door wide enough for Ginny to
walk in.
Ginny simply rolled her eyes and stepped into his room.
Harry stared at Snape’s door, the reality of the situation
finally sinking it. He had no time—he had to stop both of them before it was
too late.
Grabbing the loose ends of his cloak, he ran to Dumbledore’s
office as fast as he could.
