"Alright, I'm supposed to give you the second half of the genin exam now," Tsume barked causing the kids to jump. "But fuck that, how do I know if you three fail I won't get even worse brats next year? So, gentlemen and lady, welcome to Team Bitch. The boys already know how to work with Anko so all that matters is catching them up on shit the Academy neglects and getting them in sync with the rest of the team. Haruno, you'll just have to work twice as hard to keep up!"
"Now, we're going to get straight to training," Hana said with a grin, knowing her mother had hand selected Naruto and Hari because of their previous knowledge of how to work with Anko and the fact the two would be monstrous power houses in the future. Haruno had been tacked on because they needed a team of three genin with Kakashi taking the Uchiha brat as an apprentice. "Your first goal is to climb one of these trees, using only your feet and chakra," she explained before proceeding to show them how it was done.
Anko, not wanting to be forgotten threw three kunai at the kids, slicing each of their cheeks before the blades imbedded themselves into three separate trees. "You'll be using those to mark your progress," she said even as her body fell upon Hari's shoulder and began to lick the blood from his wound. "Just channel your chakra into your feet and you should probably get a running start if you're nervous."
Hari was the first to move, ignoring Anko's weight and nearly sending the purple haired woman falling over as he walked to the middle kunai and tried to pull it free from the trunk. His eyes narrowed dangerously as he turned his head to look at the Tokubetsu Jounin. "You've been taking it easy on me during training," he stated before he gripped the kunai with both hands and put one foot against the tree to pry it loose.
It wasn't long before the three genin were trying to move up the tree. Sakura got it first, but nearly fell out of the tree women Tsume explained that it had been so easy because her chakra was only a teaspoon against the oceans that were Hari and Naruto. Both boys were a flurry of feet and curses as they tried to run up the tree. "If you get tired, take a break," Tsume said as she sat with the rest of her team watching the new kid's work themselves into a panting heap. "I've cleared the next two weeks to get you up to par on Chakra Control before we take any missions. After Tree Climbing we'll work on Water Walking, and then we'll find out your elemental nature."
"Eh, elemental nature," Naruto asked in confusion as he sat up from slamming into the ground again. Unknowingly to him, his question caused Hari's concentration to break as he was sent slamming onto the ground just feet away. "I've never heard of anything like that before," the blond elaborated.
"Every person's chakra leans toward a specific element, Naruto," Tsume said, raising an eyebrow. She wasn't confused by his question, element manipulation was a bit above Academy level, but from the reports she had read about his time as a student, the blonde hadn't cared to learn anything. A shadow passed over her face as she realized she would have to speak to the Hokage and the Academy instructors about the notes and the person not lining up. "While Hana and I don't bother with nature manipulation, Anko is quite skilled with fire."
"Why am I not surprised," Naruto muttered as he carefully slid away from the already scary older sister figure. "So the faster we learn to climb trees and walk on water, the sooner we can start manipulating nature," he asked out loud with an excited look on his face. Turning around he raced toward the tree with his spirit and will renewed. He was going to do it, he was going to become the greatest shinobi who had ever lived and take up his father's mantel as Hokage!
Curious, Hari watched Naruto take off up the tree again for moment before turning his back to walk toward where the females of his team were sitting. Sakura had sat down after she had exhausted her chakra racing up and down the tree sideways. "Pardon me, Tsume-sensei, Hana-chan, Nee-chan, but I have a question I wish to ask since my kaa-san isn't around. Can any of you help me learn any of otousan's techniques?"
