Chapter 4: Into the Deep

Gringotts Bank, London, Britain, Mid July, 1996
When they were back upstairs Harry asked Ragnok about the family magics. Ragnok responded by telling him that, family magics were magical powers or abilities that were unique to each family, like Necromancy for the Black Family, and Parseltongue for the Slytherin Family. He also said that if the head of family, banished someone from the family magics, they would lose that ability or skill that they had innately.
“How do I banish someone from my families?” Harry asked with a sly grin.
“There is a ritual that involves your ring and a magical oath.” Ragnok said before writing a short paragraph, and sliding it to Harry. “Just remember to state the correct name and family when you say it.”
Looking at the parchment, Harry asked, “Is raising Inferi considered necromancy?”
Ragnok responded with an affirmative, and Harry decided on two people to banish, knowing it would cause many problems in Voldemort’s ranks.
“I Harry James Potter, Warlock Of The Noble And Most Ancient House Of Slytherin, Do Disinherit Tom Marvolo Riddle From The House Of Slytherin, Banish Him From The Slytherin Family Magics And Seize His Vaults, Lands And Property. This I Swear, So Mote It Be.”
He paused before continuing;
“I Harry James Potter, Warlock Of The Noble And Most Ancient House Of Black, Do Disinherit Bellatrix Lestrange nee Black From The House Of Black, Banish Her From The Black Family Magics And Seize Her Vaults, Lands And Property. This I Swear, So Mote It Be.”
With each oath, a colored flash appeared from Harry’s rings, green for Slytherin, and Black for Black. The light passed outward from the ring as if searching for the subject of the oath.
With that, Ragnok looked down at a sheet of parchment and looked surprised.
“It would appear that Bellatrix had another one of Tom Riddle’s Horcruxes. Helga Hufflepuff’s cup to be specific. Would you like us to remove the soul fragment again?”
Harry nodded yes, and Ragnok sent a memo to the appropriate party.
Now while we’re on the subject of Horcruxes, It would appear that you were Riddle’s sixth horcruxe he made based on the size of the soul fragment approximately one sixty-fourth of an adult human male soul. Even if he is no longer fully human.

Some Muggle Graveyard, same time as events above. Mid July, 1996
When Harry banished Bellatrix and Tom from their families, Bellatrix was busy preparing to begin the Inferius Ritual, while Voldemort, his snake Nagini, and his inner circle of Death Eaters. A pulse of black light hit Bellatrix in the chest while a similar pulse of green light hit Voldemort. They both ignored the lights, so focused were they on the ritual that would change the war they were blind to all else.
Bellatrix begin the incantation, and after finishing what she had done many times before realized it hadn’t worked, and attempted it again to no avail. Frustrated Voldemort sent a Cruciatus curse at Bellatrix who shook it off quickly. More furious he sent more weakened curses at his followers, who began ducking and diving for cover. Then having lost her master, the Parselmagic control broken, Nagini began attacking the men who were disturbing her. Scared one of the Death Eaters landed a killing curse on the great snake.
Howling in anger Voldemort killed the foolish follower, his magic back under his control, but still weakened. He apparated back to Malfoy Hall, with his followers and held Bellatrix under the torture curse until she passed out.
Scared by his Aunt’s screams Draco crept silently out of the room and back into the family quarters, where only those of Malfoy blood could enter.
Gringotts Bank Vaults, London, Britain, Mid July, 1996
Harry was being led down to his vaults by Ragnok, and his young son Ragnok the eighth. The girls had been sent home, to sleep and would return with their families when Gringotts summoned them. The first vault they entered was the Slytherin Vault because Ragnok had a theory behind Voldemort’s Horcruxes. He had theorized that Voldemort had meant to crate six, splitting his soul into seven, the most powerful magic number. He reached this number based on the size of the split soul that had been in Harry and the cup that had been in Bellatrix’s Vault. He believed that even though Tom Riddle had never entered his family vault, he believed that he had found an artifact of Slytherin’s and created a horcruxe out of it.
“Stand in the vault, hold your ring up, and Say ‘I Harry James Potter Warlock of the Noble and Most Ancient House of Slytherin claim all artifacts of the House of Slytherin.’”
And Harry went and claimed the artifacts. A golden locket appeared, and Harry recognized it. It was the golden locket, which they had all tried to open, while cleaning Grimmauld Place. Ragnok took it after noticing the Dark Magic in it, and sent another memo to what would soon be called the Horcruxe decontamination team.
They then went to the Peverell vaults, Harry repeated the claim and a wand, he recognized as Dumbledore’s appeared, followed by a ring and his cloak. The ring was sent after the locket, with Ragnok’s assurances that the objects would be returned before they departed the bank. The cloak was pocketed as was the wand.
They went to the Black vaults and the Malfoy vaults but nothing of import was found in either. They then went to the Potter vaults where they found Portraits of his Parents. Ragnok and his son waited outside until after Harry talked to his Parents.
In the vault were a set of open faced dark red robed lined with what Harry recognized as griffin fur, and set with the Potter crest. The robes were identified as the Head of House Wizengamot robes, and were the traditional robes the family wore for official functions.
Gringotts Bank, London, Britain, the Next Day.
Harry met with Ragnok for the next few hours until the sun came up. They had needed several hours to discuss the various holdings of Harry’s now many Houses. He also arranged a meeting with the Potter Family Solicitor, Ted Tonks.
When Ted arrived, he arrived with his wife Andromeda, who asked to be reinstated into the Black Family. Harry did this as it had been one of Sirius’s last requests. He also brought her husband and daughter into the family. Thanking him, she left to go to her work as a healer at St. Mungos.
With his wife gone Ted turned to Harry, and Harry asked him to draw up 2 betrothal contracts, so he could meet with the Greengrass Family and the Davis Family.
Notes:
I had other plans for how this chapter would turn out, but the bank visit took too long. Next chapter I believe will have smut.
