Here it is people! It took a rainy night and good music playing to get this written. Finally, it’s time for the wedding ceremony! I’m so excited to share this with you!

Blinded Chapter 40
The ministry official in long gold robes came and stood at the head of the room. His calm presence was the signal the ceremony was starting.
Draco came next, standing at the front of the room his hands clenched at his side. He tried showing a relaxed face though he knew his nerves were in full force. He looked out at his and Hermione’s friends that’d been sitting waiting patiently for the ceremony to begin. He hoped that Scorpius was behaving waiting for his turn to come down the aisle. He hadn’t quite understood that his job would be to carry the rings on a small pillow. He thought both he and his Papa would come down the aisle at the same time as Herminee and they’d all get married. Draco hoped that he wouldn’t get too upset when he finally realized that it was only him that would be married to Hermione and not Scorp. Hopefully, he’d not make a scene and stand quietly watching the ceremony.
Harry came next to stand next to Draco. “Are you nervous?” Of course, it’d have to be him that would ask that question.
“Do I look like I’m nervous?” Draco answered nonchalantly in his perfect, stuck-up, Malfoy way. It was a trait all Malfoys perfected at a young age of lifting their chin in the air, and their noses tilted up as if they were smelling something putrid. Even Scorp had the pose perfected at the age of three.
Harry smirked, while Draco tried to ignore him as the music from the quartet of stringed instruments started playing. All attention swept from him and Harry as they looked back at the wide, double glass doors leading into the ballroom.
Ginny Potter came first wearing a dark violet, flowing chiffon dress. The ruffles at the bottom glided along the floor. Her auburn hair was in an upsweep style with ringlets hanging softly at her temples and cheeks. Harry took a deep breath, while Draco noticed the way he admired his wife. She winked at Harry as she made her way to where both men stood.
Next down the aisle came a very serious-looking Scorpius, carefully holding the silk pillow where the wedding rings lay. Draco could see Scorp lifting his little aristocratic chin in the air trying to look brave. He kept his eyes on his Papa, just like he’d been told to do after Scorp had said he’d be scared with lots of people watching him. Draco smiled as his little man tried winking at his dad as he stood next to Harry.
“Would all please arise for the bride?” The official said in a clear, loud voice.
Draco was sure the noise of everyone standing together couldn’t be louder than the beating of his own heart. It felt like time stood still as Hermione, along with Mr. Weasley, walked into the room. Hermione hadn’t said a word about what her dress looked like, but he was sure that no bride had ever looked as beautiful as she did today. He couldn’t keep his eyes off of his ethereal bride who looked like she had come straight from the pages of a fairy tale. The classic, vintage-style chiffon wedding gown gently caressed the swell of her stomach while flaring out into a full skirt sweeping around her feet. The chemise was worn off her shoulder highlighting the diamond necklace draped around her neck.
Mr. Weasley patted her hand where she held tightly to his arm. Every step she took towards him made him more eager to finally be bonded with Hermione forever.
“Who giveth this bride unto the groom?”
“I, Arthur Weasley, giveth this woman with much love from both me and my wife Molly.” His arms came around Hermione hugging her tightly. Ginny started crying watching the scene, probably remembering her wedding day. Mr. Weasley took Hermione’s hand, placing it into Draco’s own.
“Take care of her Draco,” Arthur said, presenting a stern look Draco’s way.
“I promise I will, Mr. Weasley.” He nodded at Draco and went to sit by his wife.
The rest of the magical bonding ceremony went by in a blur. The ministry official spoke, “Marriage is a commitment to live with each other. It offers opportunities for sharing and growing emotionally and physically on this journey for a lifetime.”
Draco looked at Hermione and his mind strayed from the words being pronounced. All he could think about was how lucky he was to have this woman in his life. Someone that loved him unconditionally, even though they’d had such a rough start when they’d first met many years ago. He didn’t think he’d ever find someone that would challenge and love him the way he was.
“A wife and a husband are each other’s best friend, confidant, lover, teacher, and greatest supporter. Marriage deepens and enriches every facet of life.”
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~~*~*~
Hermione felt like this was all a dream. She’d waited so long to find someone who loved her completely. Draco was that man who not only loved her but encouraged her, and never put her down. He didn’t fear her intelligence. He never laughed at her but with her. Looking into his clear, grey eyes, she felt complete acceptance. She felt lucky that she didn’t have to compromise when finding a life partner. So many times while dating Ron that is exactly how she’d felt. With Draco, she knew, no she felt deep in her heart that they were meant for each other.
“Marriage encourages and nurtures new life, new experiences, and they create a spirit unique unto themselves. Marriage is a promise, made in the hearts of two people who love each other”
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Now it was time for them to share their thoughts and feelings.
Draco went first, knowing that even though everyone in the room was listening, his words were meant only for his bride. He reached out to take her hands in his. Draco met Hermione’s eyes as he became lost in their beautiful, brown warmth.
“Today I give myself to you in marriage. I love you. You’re my best friend. Because of you Hermione, I dare to laugh, smile, and dream again. I have things to look forward to in life once more. I know we’ll never walk away from this family that we have built. I promise to love you in good times and bad. You are the missing half that now has made me whole. We are stronger together. You are the love of my life and today I ask you to be my wife, my partner, the mother to my children for the rest of our lives. I’ll be loyal to you and help you to achieve your dreams.”
When he finished, his throat constricted when he saw the tears flowing down Hermione’s cheeks. She looked like she wanted to jump into his arms as she leaned into him. He wasn’t sure if she’d be able to speak her vows next.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Hermione felt her legs shaking as she listened to the beautiful words Draco was speaking. She hadn’t known what to expect from him and the vows he’d written. Never had she expected to hear these words from a man and feel like they were coming from the heart.
The ministry official stared at Hermione and nodded signaling that it was her turn. Her throat felt so dry and she wasn’t sure that she could say anything. Clearing her throat and wishing for a drink, her brain tried to think of the words she’d written.
“Draco, I feel like everything in my life has led me to you. My choices, my heartbreaks, my regrets. Everything. Now that we’re together, the past seems worth it. Because if I’d done one thing differently, it wouldn't have led me back here to you. I promise to be your lover, companion, and your friend. Your partner in the joys of parenthood. Your ally in conflict and your supporter in victory and we have much to celebrate. As I stand here before you, I see all of the things that I fell in love with and I could continue talking about them until tomorrow. I can’t imagine my life without you by my side. I look forward to the rest of my life with you, Scorpius, and all of the other children that will come to our family.”
She saw Scorp’s little head poke around Harry and he smiled up at her. He tried again to wink at her, blinking with both his eyes. “I love you Herminee.” The whole audience sighed at his pronouncement.
“I love you too little man.” He skirted around both men and wrapped his arm around her legs. “I’m so glad that we’re all getting married.”
The laughter was subdued at Scorpius's words, but the tears continued to flow.
The official finalized the bonding, and they exchanged rings.
“You may seal the ceremony with a kiss.”
This time she jumped towards Draco as his arms encircled her. Their lips met, as sparks sizzled between them as the bond was sealed. The clapping and whistling ensued as the kiss continued.
The kiss ended when they heard Scorp, “Is anyone going to kiss me?” The newly married couple leaned down and kissed him at the same time on his cheeks. The photographer made sure to take a picture at that moment. Hand in hand the new family walked back down the aisle with thunderous applause following them.

As Draco held Hermione in his arms they danced their first dance as a married couple. They only swayed in each other’s arms as Hermione had refused to waltz being as big as she was now. At least that was the excuse she gave Draco, he knew that she wasn’t keen on any kind of ballroom dancing.
Hermione smiled as she listened to the lyrics. Draco had also learned to love the song they were now dancing to. Hermione’s parents had loved Al Green’s hit Let's Stay Together. Playing it now was a way to have her parents there.
“I'm, I'm so in love with you
Whatever you want to do
Is all right with me
'Cause you make me feel so brand new
And I want to spend my life with you”
Hermione grinned up at her handsome husband and his eyes never straying from her face. He mouthed the words along with the song,
“Loving you forever
Is what I need
Let me be the one you come running to
I'll never be untrue”
She couldn’t believe she’d ever see the day when Draco Malfoy would be singing a Muggle song from the 1970s. Yes, life had truly changed for all of them. It was her turn to sing to him at the end of the song,
“Loving you whether, whether
Times are good or bad, happy or sad, come on
Let's, let's stay together.”
Leaning down Draco caught her lips with his as they continued to sway until the end of the song. Whispering he said, “We’ll always stay together. You’re not going anywhere. I’m not going anywhere. We’re only going to go to bed in a few hours and honestly, I don’t know if I can wait that long.” Hermione knew how he felt and she could feel how much he wanted her right now. Too bad there were all of these people in the room with them right now. Her mind clearly caught on to Draco’s vision of what would happen later. As they started kissing again a little body rammed into them.
“When’s it’s my turn to dance with you guys?” Scorpius stuck his head in between them. “We got married today so I need a dance!”
Harry overheard Scorp, choked, and immediately spewed out the champagne he was drinking, while Ginny patted his back and tried not to laugh at her suffering husband.
Draco scooped Scorp into his arms where he put one tiny arm around his dad and his new mom. They were all smiles as the new family now had their first dance together.

Their hotel room was dark, except for the many candles lit throughout the room. The view from the penthouse floor was gorgeous as they looked out through the floor-length windows. Draco stood behind Hermione, his arms wrapped tightly around her and the growing child she carried. It felt good to stand there quietly looking out at the twinkling stars. It had been a busy day and for Draco, he hadn’t had much sleep the night before.
“Did you notice the look on Scorp’s face when we told him he was staying overnight at Harry and Ginny’s house?”
“How could I not? It was the screaming of ‘I need to go on the moneyhoon with you guys’ that caught my attention.” Hermione said. “I felt so bad I almost scooped him into my arms and brought him with us.”
Draco's hands slid up to cup her breasts, “If he were here, I couldn’t do this.” He slowly kissed along the side of her neck and felt her shiver at his touch. “I also wouldn’t get very far by doing this.”
He lifted her in his arms, walking over to the King size bed where he gently set her down. “This also probably wouldn’t be happening,” Draco’s hands slid up her legs stopping at the hem of her nightgown, lifting it up until it was off.
Hermione grinned at him, “You are absolutely right, in that Scorp probably wouldn’t, or shouldn’t see what his Mum and Papa have planned for tonight.”
Draco smirked, his eyebrows lifting as he gazed down at Hermione. “Especially, because one of us decided to forgo wearing any knickers under their nightgown”
“I figured, why strain myself putting them on when I knew they were only coming off soon.” The blush on her face showed, even in the candlelight. “I may not wear any knickers until this baby decides to make its entrance into the world.”
A low growl escaped his mouth and he left kisses over Hermione’s expansive stomach. “Someone thinks it’s playtime,” his hand smoothed over the spot where the baby was now kicking him in the face.
“Someone needs to inform my tiny occupant that it’s Mummy and Papa’s time to play.” Hermione giggled as she felt the baby dancing around. “You know those Malfoy kids, they always get their way.”
Draco smirked, “Well, this Malfoy kid is going to get his way right now.” Clothes were now off and thrown across the room. “Let’s get enjoying this moneyhoon.” That is exactly what they did until exhaustion overcame them and they fell asleep in each other’s arms.

Harry and Hermione made sure to have lunch a few days after the newlyweds had gotten back.
“So, how was...um...the honeymoon...ah,” Harry stuttered with a blush on his cheeks.
Hermione leaned forward as much as she could at the lunch table, “If you're asking if we had a lot of sex, then yes! There was a lot of slick, sticky, rambunctious sex.” Harry looked gobsmacked and sat silently. She couldn’t hold in her laughter as her best friend sat squirming in her seat.
“You do realize I’m not Ginny and I don’t want to know about you and Malfoy having sex.” Harry stuck his tongue out.
“You asked, Potter,” she laughed and pointed to her belly,” This should also be an ever-handy reminder that Draco and I have a great sex life.”
“Since when do you call me Potter?” Harry snickered at her in amusement at what she’d said.
“Ever since I became a Malfoy,” she beamed back at one of her dearest friends. “I have a feeling you really didn’t ask me to lunch to talk about my sex life, so what’s going on?”
The atmosphere changed in a moment as the smile left Harry’s face. “Actually there are two things, do you want bad or worse?”
“How about neither. I need happiness Harry, and I damn well have paid my dues.” Hermione felt her stomach churning and it had nothing to do with the tiny human growing in her body.
“Let’s start with the bad then. It’s about Ron. We were able to keep him away from your wedding but he’s been acting strange every time your name comes up.” Harry started running his hand through his hair. That was a sign showing how agitated he was becoming. “There’s still unfinished business between you two and he’s not going to let any of this go.” Harry’s hand pointed at her, specifically at her stomach.
“What’s he been saying? Has he told you why he’s angry with me?” Hermione wondered if Ron had finally told Hary the truth about what had happened that night so many years ago. “I know he wasn’t happy about me marrying Draco but he needs to move on.”
“I’ve never seen him this way, Hermione. It’s like he’s possessed by a demon.” Hermione reached out to grab a hold of Harry’s hand.
“It’s time I told you the truth, Harry. You need to know why I left England so suddenly.” Hermione proceeded to tell the whole, rotten story of how Ron had almost beaten her to death the night of Fred’s funeral. She didn’t feel the need to hold back about what Ron had done and how much damage he’d caused physically and mentally. Harry’s jaw was clenched so tightly it looked as if he would break his teeth. The longer she spoke, the more angry Harry became as fury drifted off of him in waves.
“Why in the fuck did you not let us know? I would have had his sorry arse slapped into Azkaban!”
“Harry, calm down, we’re in public.” Hermione looked around at the many frowning people looking over at their table. It was hard to hide out in the open when your names were Harry Potter and Hermione Granger, now Malfoy.
“There is no reason whatsoever that Ron should have done that to you, drunk or not. He was in love with you.” Harry’s glasses came off as his hands came up to brush away the tears that were now falling from his eyes. Of course, the very pregnant Hermione had to join in on the crying. It seemed she was doing a lot of that lately.
“You’re making me scared Harry. Do you really think Ron would do something to hurt me or my baby?” Her hand shook as she grabbed a tissue from her purse to dry her wet cheeks.
Harry shook his head slowly, “I don’t know, he’s changed. Even Molly and Arthur have noticed something is wrong. Susan dropped him soon after they stormed out the night Scorp announced your engagement.”
“I can’t live this way always wondering if and when Ron is going to blow his top again and come after me.” Hermione pushed herself up out of the chair while taking a deep breath. “I need to go and discuss this with Draco.”
“He knows about all of this?” Harry asked with wide eyes.
“Yes, he does and yes, it’s amazing that Draco didn’t go after Ron the night I told him about what he did to me. He was ready to kill him.” Hermione said,” Thanks for lunch. Let’s talk later.” Hermione walked out the door of the diner.
“Shite. I didn’t even have a chance to tell her about the worst part. Hermione is not going to be happy about what came in the mail.” His head dropped on the table as he wondered when he would share that news with the Malfoys.

Author Notes:
Honestly, I was going to end the story with a chapter and an epilogue. Well, as you can see it didn’t happen and I have nothing to say for myself when the characters take over the writing from me. So at this point, we may have more chapters before an epilogue. Thanks if you're still around and reading. I know it’s been a while but I will finish this story.
