Sixteen Years
Later
Sam sat in the audience, her stomach rolling with
butterflies. She couldn’t believe she finally made it to her Hogwarts
graduation. And as Headgirl no less! She worked her bum off to make her family
proud and she finally felt she did that by graduating.
Her brother Travis fidgeted next to her, tugging at his
uniform. Sam rolled her eyes. Travis was another story. He had decent grades
though not ones that Father Snape would have boasted about. Travis had been too
busy implementing the different jokes her Uncles Fred and George gave him at
Hogwarts. It drove their parents crazy. She couldn’t believe he was even
graduating. She was sure that the only reason Travis had even made it through
school was because all three of their parents were a part of the Hogwarts
staff.
Her dad, Severus Snape, was the Headmaster of Hogwarts. He
had salt and pepper hair and with frown lines on his forehead. Though he was
advancing in his age, he was still fit and cruel. Students were terrified of
him which satisfied Sam greatly. In her opinion, the school was full of show
offs and dunderheads. They needed someone like her dad to stop them from being
complete failures.
Her other dad, Lucius Malfoy, was the DADA teacher. His
signature platinum blonde hair was finally streaked with grey but it didn’t
take away from his looks. He was still handsome as a sin with attractive laugh
lines around his eyes. His temper was just as bad as her other dad—the only
difference was he was a lot more pleasant when he insulted and punished the
students. Girls swooned over him but he only had eyes for her mother.
Ginny Malfoy-Snape was the charms teacher. She was in her
prime. Her signature bright red hair was cut short into a stylish bob that
hugged her face. Her brown eyes shone brightly with intelligence and mirth. She
wasn’t as mean as Sam’s two fathers. In fact, she was downright pleasant.
Everyone loved her class and voted her favorite teacher for seven years running
in every house (Lucius Malfoy always coming in second because of his looks
despite his cold way within the classroom).
Sam snapped out of her thoughts as her father began to
speak about Hogwarts and living life in the real world.
Sam rolled her eyes. She lived at Hogwarts her whole life
and she had the speech memorized. Though she had looked forward to her
graduation for as long as she could remember—it was still kind of annoying to
sit through all the guest speakers. The only speaker she really liked was her
adopted grandfather Albus Dumbledore.
He always made the audience laugh uncontrollably and he
never told the same speech twice. He always managed to make time to make it to
the Hogwarts graduation despite the fact that he was Minister of Magic.
Sam loved Dumbledore—he always had lemon drops and other
candies that she liked. And no matter how busy he was, he always had time to
talk to her. Dumbledore and his wife Georgia knew all of Sam’s secrets much to
her both of her dad’s annoyance.
Sam loved her fathers but she
knew if they knew even half of her secrets they would commit murder for sure.
At least Grandpa Albus knew how to keep a secret.
“When is this bloody talking business going to be over,”
Travis whispered to Sam.
Sam resisted the urge to roll her eyes at her twin.
“Travis don’t you ever retain anything in that fat head of
yours? You know our names are called after Grandpa Albus finishes his speech,”
Sam whispered back fiercely.
Travis simply grinned and went back to watching the ceremony.
Sam resisted the urge to pinch her nose. Travis could be a
right annoying git when it came down to it. She
couldn’t even believe they were twins. Really, how could any twin of hers be sorted into a horrible house like Gryffindor while she
had been sorted into Slytherin?
Thankfully for Sam, Dumbledore ended his speech before she
could give into temptation and throttle her brother (Sam was quite good at
dueling but she found more satisfaction in physically hurting Travis than she
did in hexing him).
Snape went back to the podium and simply glared at the
audience until the stray chatter stopped.
“And now—I will individually present each Hogwarts student
that has officially passed their NEWTS and will become an Alumni. I ask that
you refrain from applause until I have finished reading all the names and
descriptions of the students,”
Snape began describe each student and call their names. Of
course—like at any graduation—people in the audience cheered for the students
they supported when the names and achievements of the students were spoken.
The closer her father got to the S’s the more Sam’s stomach
became twisted in knots. Not only would her crazy Gryffindor family probably
embarrass her by shouting her name (they were Weasleys after all), but her
walking across the stage and getting her diploma would signify the end of an
era of her life.
She would no longer be a Hogwarts student—and that was a
somewhat scary thought.
“This next student has been the light of Hogwarts for seven
years—without him there would have been no laughter or smiles within the castle
and the staff would have to fallen into a false sense of serenity and
laziness—something I never tolerate. He has graced Hogwarts with some of the
best planned and executed pranks the school has ever seen since the Weasley
twins attended many years ago and I am proud to call him my son. I present you
with Hogwarts’ newest Alumni, Travis Snape,”
Travis stood from his seat with a proud smirk on his face.
The Weasley’s and friends were hollering and hooting from their section and
thunderous applause came from the graduating students. As he made his way to
the stage, Sam couldn’t help but smile.
Despite how much she wanted to throttle her brother on a regular basis, he
really did bring life to Hogwarts. Whenever exams or anything else within the
school became too stressful, Travis would be the one diffuse the stress. And
when it all came down to it, he wasn’t a bad student—he simply loved to pull
pranks.
Travis went across the stage, shaking the hands of his
Professors until he made it to the end of the line where his mum and dad Lucius
were sitting.
Ginny threw her arms around him and rained his face with
kisses despite the fact that he was about a foot taller than he was.
Unlike other boys—Travis loved when his mother showed him
affection. He gave her a big kiss on the cheek and grinned stupidly at the
audience, winking before moving on.
“Merlin I wish Professor Malfoy-Snape would kiss me like
that,” a student from behind Sam said.
Sam smirked. Her mom was fancied by most of the boys at
Hogwarts. They went all moon eyed over her and the bold ones would flirt with
her (only when her fathers weren’t around of course).
Ginny took it all in stride, laughing when an attempt was made and letting each
boy down gently.
Lucius smiled down at Travis and pulled him into a big hug.
Sam could see Lucius mouthing something in his ear. When Travis pulled away,
his eyes were twinkling. Sam knew that look—something was going to happen
later, she just knew it.
Travis was next faced with his father Snape, who stared at
him for a few moments before pulling him into a hug. The students (and even
some of the parents in the audience who had been Snape’s former students)
looked at the scene in shock.
Sam rolled her eyes. She hated when people assumed that
just because her dad was a complete ass in public meant that he was an ass at
home—if that were the case he wouldn’t be married to her mother and her father.
When Travis pulled away, he actually had tears in his eyes.
It was no secret that most of Travis’ pranks landed him in the Headmaster’s
Office. Snape didn’t play favorites. He assigned detentions, punished Travis at
home and even suspended him when the prank was really bad.
Yet, when it all came down to it, Snape loved Travis very
much. He accepted who Travis was despite the aspirations he had for him. Travis
always got emotional when his father showed that support and love in public.
After Travis left the stage with his parchment, Snape went
back to the podium.
“This next student has shown not only Britain but the world
the intelligence that graces the hallways of Hogwarts. Not only did she score
the highest NEWTS in Hogwarts history,” Snape smirked down at Hermione
Granger-Black who scowled playful at him, “But she scored the highest NEWTS in
Europe. She’s beautiful, she’s snarky, and she will always be ‘daddy’s little
girl’ to both Lucius and I. I present you, Headgirl, and Hogwarts newest
Alumni, Samantha Snape,”
Sam’s face was flushed bright red as her family and friends
began to cheer and shout for her. Everyone in the audience stood and clapped to
honor her. Sam stood and made her way to the stage. She went through her former
professors in a daze, shaking hands with them and smiling.
When Ginny had Sam in front of her, she burst into tears
and hugged her tightly. Sam hugged back, close to breaking into tears herself.
“I love you Sam,” Ginny whispered into her ear.
“I love you too mum,” Sam whispered back.
Sam pulled away from her mother to jump into Lucius arms.
He held her tightly against him.
“Good work poppet,” Lucius whispered into her ear.
“Thank you daddy,”
Lucius finally let her go, kissing her gently on the hair before letting her
go.
Sam faced her father who didn’t hesitate to take her into
his arms and hug her tightly.
“You have made me so proud Samantha,” he whispered.
Sam couldn’t hold back the tears any longer. Her father was
not one to give out praise easily. To know that she made him proud was
something that touched her deeply.
When she pulled away, she noticed the sparkle of tears in
his eyes as well. He wiped her cheeks with his thumb.
Sam gave him a watery smile before taking her parchment
from his hands and leaving the stage.
---
Ginny dabbed her eyes with Lucius’ handkerchief. Lucius had
a possessive arm around her waist. They both stood in a quiet spot on the
Hogwarts while everyone else mingled with the students.
All of their friends and family were at the graduation—the
Weasleys, the Malfoys, and the Snape Family.
“Merlin—two hugs should not make people think
that I believe in sunshine and rainbows,” Snape complained after he finally made
his way to their sides.
Ginny simply smiled at him and kissed him deeply on the
lips.
Snape annoyed frown instantly disappeared. Ginny pulled
away with a smug smile. Snape smiled down at her and placed his arm around her
waist, just above Lucius’.
Both men smiled at each other and watched their rest of
their kids and families mingle together.
The three of them never thought in the darkest moments of
their lives that they would be married to each other at the end of the day.
They wouldn’t have had it any other way.
A/N: And there you have it folks—the end of an era as some
would say. Now, if you’re curious about the rest of Snape and Lucius’ kids with
Ginny and the other couples of the story, they are all at this link: (http://www2.adult-fanfiction.org/forum/index.php/topic/19294-the-day-i-did-snape/)
Please, I would really appreciate it if you all gave me an overall review of
the story—it will really help me improve as a writer. I can’t wait to see you
all again when I write my next story!
Until then!
Love, hugs, and Kisses
