“Who would’ve thought that simply using an illusion of someone turning on some lights and playing loud music would fluster the hokage.” Shino muttered, knowing that it wasn’t just any house where this phenomenon took place.
For a few years now the Namikaze was enchanted. Severus designed the spell to make it appear like people are inside throwing a party. Of course, the only way to get inside is to be released to Naruto’s parents or be a guest that’s invited in by the owner. Also if Naruto wanted to own the property he has to put some blood on a very specific deed that was made by his father.
At first Hiruzen was skeptical of the illusion. He assumed it was a prank since there’s no way Naruto could have returned to the village without him knowing. However, the Aburame clan conveniently started making reports claiming that they found signs of Naruto’s presence thanks to the Mades help. Each new report put Naruto closer and closer to the village. What made it worse was that the reports showed he was coming from the old Uzumaki compound in the ruins of Whirlpool village and approaching Konoha from the north, which was the same side the Namikaze compound was on.
Hiruzen tried to not let that bother him. After all, he thought he had the deed, but the reports said he was getting closer. When it finally occurred to him that there may have been something in the old Uzumaki compound to help Naruto get in the village undetected he went looking for the deed.
A simple scavenger hunt to ease his nerves became an anxiety inducing mess. No matter how much he looked, the deed was gone and he refused to believe that Naruto got it. If he did, how was he supposed to give it to Naruto as an apology gift? This was supposed to smooth things over and Naruto was then supposed to trust him enough to let him in. He desperately wanted access to the money and jutsu in the compound, but that’s not likely to happen if he doesn’t brainwash the demon vessel first.
There was only one reason he hasn’t started freaking out yet. He knew he has gone through a few secretaries in the last year. Each one has reorganized his things. With every fiber of his being he prayed that the deed was just lost in the shuffle. As he beefed up security he kept searching for the deed.
Sasuke snorted as the sun went down and the lights to the nearby compound flickered on, “Not an illusion this time. You guys have fun.” He said cheerfully as he turned to leave.
“Don’t want to see the compound?” Itachi asked as everyone started making their way to it,
The younger Uchiha didn’t even look over his shoulder or stop walking, “No way. You all will be consummating the place from top to bottom and I don’t need to see that. Have fun!” He exclaimed before vanishing into the treetops.
Itachi blushed, “He doesn’t need to say it like that.”
“Perhaps!” Kakashi exclaimed happily and grabbed Itachi’s arm. “I hope he’s right though.” Kakashi snickered and they walked through the compound gates.

Inside the hokage tower Hiruzen had fallen asleep on some papers. In his mind a dream started forming. When the dream image became clear he saw the well known members of his loyal council in front of him.
“Hokage-sama, we have realized exactly why Naruto has been so hard to find.” Shibi said as he stood up from the table. “It turns out our source was our target.” He explained as he flung the doors open.
The hokage’s eyes widened when he saw the Mages. The bounty hunting team was dragged in by their chains. Shibi kicked one of them and that Mage popped like a clone. The mask on the remaining Mage was pulled off revealing Naruto.
In an instant Hiruzen woke from his very vivid dream, “That’s it! That would explain why it was so hard to find them!” He said cheerfully though he hesitated for a moment when he looked out the windows and saw those lights that no one else seemed to see.
A smirk came to his face when he realized he had a way to prove it if needed. He pulled out a scroll he just happened to find while looking for the deed. It was a single Uzumaki scroll.
With one drop of blood he’ll know if his dream was just a dream or his brilliant mind connecting the dots.
