With A Bang

Boring, that was the only word that Goku could think of to describe taking the O.W.L test as he banged his head on the table repeatedly. Goku looked up with weary eyes as he looked around. He spotted Trunks leaned down, practically snogging his paper as he wrote on his test parchment, the teen’s lavender tail swished around under his cloak as he concentrated. Gohan was pretty much doing the same thing but writing faster, his glasses on his face as he wrote. Vegeta was doing well until he froze and started to growl at his paper; he was stuck on a problem. Piccolo’s face was stoic as he wrote, but inside his head he was growling at the paper; he wasn’t a dumb person but he thought the test was asinine. Trunks glanced back at Goku and when they locked eyes, the teen winked then went back to his paper. Goku silently groaned and let his forehead fall to his parchment again.

Suddenly, there was a loud noise outside the double doors. Everyone who was testing turned when a second loud sound was heard. Trunks turned in his chair, a slightly hidden sly grin on his lips. Goku looked at the doors in confusion then back to Dolores to was briskly walking down the center aisle. Goku spotted Trunks again and recognized the young genius’ expression. Trunk’s grin widened when Dolores opened the doors. He purred mischievously “Let the show begin...” A few seconds after his words, a colorful and small firework exploded in the testing room. All of sudden, two students on broomsticks rushed through the double doors and Trunks laughed then flew upwards to join them; it was Fred and George. The three of them threw small and medium sized indoor fireworks around the Hall, shouting and laughed all the while. When they passed each other, they clasped each other’s hands briefly then continued dropping fireworks.

When a firework aimed at Draco’s face, Vegeta sped over and slapped it away to where it hit Crabbe in the ass. Vegeta chuckled darkly then looked up with a smirk “Much more entertaining than writing.” Draco laughed then hugged Vegeta’s arm and watched the colorful display above and around them.

Trunks caught a large firework from Fred and lit it then tossed it to George who said with a grin “Ready when you guys are!” they all laughed then George tossed it and the three of them flew away. When it exploded, it turned into a red, green and gold colored chinese dragon that all the Z Fighters thought looked like Shenron. The dragon let out a low growl then slithered forwards through the air, straight at Dolores.

“OH!” Umbridge gasped as she started to try and run away from the chesire grinning, sharp fanged firework dragon. Smoke billowed from his mouth and nose as it chased her out the two front doors then closed its mouth. When it’s mouth closed, it turned into dozens of curling fireworks that exploded and shattered the Educational Decrees on the wall, destroying each and every one of them. Dolores then shrieked as three figures zoomed past her then all the students that were in the Great Hall pushed past her cheering for the twins and Trunks.

It seemed like the entirety of the school poured into the courtyard as the trio continued to throw fireworks into the air. The end result was a ginormous ‘W’ made of fireworks in the sky that burned brightly. Vegeta stood off more to the back with his arms crossed as he looked up with a smirk. He had a feeling the twins and his future brat were up to something; Mirai might be a genius but he’s not good at hiding things he’s excited about. Goku stood next to him clapping enthusiastically and cheering for the mischievous trio. Gohan laughed and grinned up at Mirai Trunks, he was glad that the troubled time traveller was having fun in this dimension and not worrying about whatever was going on in his own world. Another large firework went off and the aliens knew instantly Trunks designed it; it was a purple line drawing of the time traveller’s face with a hand pulling down his left lower lid and sticking out his tongue.

Gohan, who was standing near Ron laughed and clapped “WOOHOO! NICE ONE MIRAI!” Gohan giggled and leaned into Piccolo’s chest.

Piccolo had been told beforehand by Trunks that the fireworks were going to happen so he was able to put the volume adjusting charm on his ears. He could feel the explosions in his bones so he was happy he was told before it happened. The Namekian had a feeling he would be unconscious by now or holding his head in pain if he hadn’t. So, he was able to enjoy the light show, his hands resting on his mate’s waist.

Bardock had obviously heard the ruckus outside and quickly left to see what was going on. When he saw the sky, he laughed and crossed his arms “Well I’ll be Ginyu’s next host! This is the greatest shit I’ve seen this whole year! Hah!”

Gohan, remembering that it was the Weasley’s, turned to Ron with a grin “Your brothers and Trunks are bri-” he trailed off then he quickly rushed forwards and caught Harry before he fell “Harry! Harry are you alright?”

As Gohan looped Harry’s arm around his shoulder to keep him up, Piccolo as well as Ron and Hermione rushed up to him. Harry gasped out “Sirius! He has him!”

Gohan nodded and he helped Harry past the crowd as they rushed out. As they ran, Gohan looked at Piccolo “Go tell Otousan and Vegeta what’s going on, I’ll try to keep you updated.” Piccolo nodded then turned and quickly walked to where he sensed the Saiyans.

As the climbed a moving staircase, Hermione said pressingly “Harry, are you sure?”

Harry then replied briskly “I saw it! It’s just like with Mr. Weasley! It’s the same door I’ve been dreaming about for a month and I couldn’t remember where I’d seen it before!” as they took the stairs two at a time, Harry continued “Sirius says Voldemort was after something, something he didn’t have the last time, and it’s in the Department of Mysteries!”

“Harry please listen!” The four of them halted and Harry looked at Hermione “What if Voldemort meant you to see this? If he’s only hurting Sirius because he’s trying to get to you.”

“What if he is?” Harry said defensively. “I’m supposed to just let him die? Hermione, he’s the only family I’ve got left.”

Gohan smiled and nodded “I’ll help you Harry. I’ve taken a liking to Sirius.” Harry smiled thankfully.

Ron and Hermione looked at each other then Ron said “What do we do now?”

Gohan’s eyes lit up “Floo powder anyone?”

Harry grinned widely “Brilliant!” he then started to run up the stairs, the other three close behind.

Hermione noted “Umbridge has all the chimneys under surveillance.”

“Not all of them.” They all turned to see a figure leaning against a wall, his arms crossed.

Harry let out a breath of relief “Karcdob!”

Karcdob smiled crookedly then said “I’m not in my room at the moment. I rushed out of my room in such a hurry to figure out the explosion noises that I forgot to lock my office door in my haste.” he winked as he walked away with his hands in his pockets “Be a shame for someone to go into my office whilst I’m not there.” he chuckled as he kept walking. Once out of sight he flew back to the ruckus outside.

Gohan exhaled then said with a grin “You heard him, let’s go!” Harry and the other two Gryffindors nodded and they ran as quickly as they could.

Bardock landed in a nook he could step out from then raised his wand and shot into the air. A shocking noise went off and the cheering halted to turn to the Professor. Karcdob raised an eyebrow then said “Alright guys, you all had your fun. Now get back to whatever you were doin before this. If you were testing just go to your common rooms until we get this sorted out.”

The students groaned but did what they were told. Bardock sensed Dolores approaching and he turned with a foe warm smile “Ah, Headmistress.”

Dolores looked impressed “Hm, you made short work of this crowd Tsarschild.”

Karcdob shrugged “They listen to people they like. I tend to try and make the kids like me so they actually do their work without too much complaining.”

Umbridge made a small noise then noticed Bardock’s wand glowing red “What is that?”

Karcdob looked down then paled a bit “Oh, that.” he lifted it up “Apparently my alarm for my office has been triggered.” to play along with his character he blinked a few times then hissed “Shit! Someone’s in my office! Who the fuck-?” he facepalmed “I forgot to lock my door…” he then frowned “Who would want to go into my office anyway and why?” Bardock grimaced internally at the wicked grin on the pink toad’s face.

“Oh, I have a feeling I know just the student.”

Karcdob raised an eyebrow “Oh? Tell me on the way there, let’s go before they leave.”

Dolores nodded and summoned her Inquisitorial squad before walking briskly with Karcdob to his office “I have reason to believe one Harry Potter is your intruder.”

Bardock pretended to be surprised “Harry? Why would Potter do that? He’s a good kid in my class, good grades too.”

Dolores narrowed her eyes “I have my suspicions…”

When they got to the door, they heard a female voice exclaim “We’re in this together!”

Dolores opened the door and said firmly “That-you-are!”

Karcdob and Harry’s eyes met briefly and Bardock half winked. When Dolores decided to tie the boy to one of his chairs, he had to hold back a growl. His eyes roamed upwards as members of the Inquisitorial squad brought in students; Luna, Cho, Ginny and Neville.

“Caught Vegeta trying to help the Weasley girl.” Draco declared as he entered the room. Bardock raised an eyebrow when he saw Vegeta in the young Malfoy’s hands but he assumed the Prince had his reasons for wanted to be present. He just wondered what his cub was thinking at the moment.

Dolores leaned down to Harry and said with a smile “You were going to Dumbledore weren’t you?”

“No.” Harry said shortly then jolted when he was suddenly slapped.

“Liar.” Umbridge hissed.

Karcdob looked over as he saw Snape standing in the doorway “You sent for me Headmistress?” The Potions Master’s expression looked a bit confused.

Dolores stood up straight “Snape, yes. The time has come for answers. Whether they want to give it to me or not.” she looked overly happy “Have you brought the Veritaserum?”

Karcdob cleared his throat “Ah, Headmistress? You used all of his and my own stash on the students you interrogated, the last of it on Mrs. Chang if you recall.”

Snape nonchalantly said “Unless you wish to poison him, then I assure you I would have the greatest sympathy if you did. I cannot help you.” he turned to leave.

“He’s got Padfoot!” Harry said quickly “H-He’s got Padfoot at the place where it’s hidden!”

Dolores looked confused and angry “Padfoot? What is Padfoot? Where what is hidden? What is he talking about Snape?”

Severus turned and looked at Dolores then said with a shake of his head and a shrug “No idea.” he then turned and his eyes flashed red for a second before leaving.

Dolores pressed her lips into a thin line, the gears in her twisted head turning “Very well.” she walked over to her desk “You give me no choice Potter. As this is an issue of the Ministry security, you leave me with… no alternative.” Umbridge paused then said “The Cruciatus Curse otte to loosen your tongue.”

Karcdob flinched as memory of his experience with that flashed through his mind for a second. Gohan snarled “That’s illegal!”

Dolores said calmly “What Cornelius doesn’t know,” she took the framed picture of the Minister then tilted it forwards so the picture was face down “won’t hurt him.”

Gohan’s tail lashed “You’re sick!” He wanted to help but he felt like this wouldn’t go through without his help either way. Vegeta had the same exact thoughts.

Hermione suddenly cried out “Just tell her Harry!”

Dolores turned to the girl quickly “Tell me what?”

Hermione took a deep breath “Well if you won’t tell her where it is, I will.”

Umbridge looked Hermione curiously and she even had Bardock’s curiosity peaked. Karcdob spoke up “Where what is?”

Hermione looked reluctant but said “Dumbledore’s secret weapon.” Dolore’s eyes grew wide as she couldn’t believe what she was hearing.
