the Portrait
A/N sorry it is taking so long. I\'ve been having a few legal troubles so I\'ve been to busy to write. I also apologize I didn\'t have time to send this to a beta.
\"Kara I want to apologize for Ron\'s behavior. He\'s really a nice guy, he just doesn\'t trust you yet.\" Harry was begging for her understanding.
She smiled \"I know, he needs time. Don\'t worry he\'ll come around\"
They were almost at Kara\'s room when they ran into Snape. \"Good evening Professor Flower\'s. I see you have caught Potter out after curfew. He has a very bad habit of breaking that particular rule\"
Kara looked at Harry and smiled as she spoke \"Well Professor Snape actually I had a few matters to discus with Harry so I gave him permission to be out past curfew and as a matter of fact I was taking him back to the tower when you stopped us.\" Kara grabbed Harry by the arm and made there way towards the tower.
She lead him to the foot of the stairs that led to the tower. they kissed briefly and went on their seperate ways. As he finally made his way up to Griffyndor tower He noticed a portrait on the third floor. It was of a lovely witch that he had often seen in his dreams, with eyes just like his own. A small plaque underneath read Lily Evans- Head Girl. It was his mother. Why hadn\'t he noticed it before?
Harry blinked and continued up to the tower. The common room was full of laughter as students were talking about their summer vactions \"...This girl who lived across the street kept flirting with me. She was kind of scary. When she met me she smacked my bum and tried to put her hands don my trousers\" Neville was still discussing his vaction to The States.
Harry had to here the rest \"So Nev what did you do about her\"
\"Oh hi Harry I didn\'t see you. Well Alex, that\'s her name, just graduated from school and she will be attendin Merlin University this year. So we\'ll see each other over Chirstmas holidays\" Neville explained.
\"I thought you said she was scary\" Dean interupted
Neville blushed a bit \"Well she is, but she\'s bloody beautiful and sweet once you get to know her\"
\"So are you dating her?\" asked Seamus
\"Well yes but only casually. We can see other people\"
Looks like Longbottom has himself a university girl\" Dean says as he nudges Harry with his elbow \"Where did you get that Harry?\" the pendant that Kara had given him had slipped out so that everyone could see it.
Harry thought for a momment \"My girlfriend\" he said quietly
Dean, Seamus ,and Neville stared at Harry. Neville was the first to speak \"Your girlfriend when did that happen?\"
\"A year ago I met her in Hogsmeade. She\'s a bit older\" Harry didn\'t want to say any more incase they figured out that it was Kara. \"You know what I\'m a bit tired long day you know\" wtih that he made his way to bed. He pulled his hangings around his bed and went to sleep.
Harry had a strange dream that night. He was on the third floor under the portrait of his mother. Kara was holding his hand. Slowly Kara mutated until she became Lord Voldermort. Harry woke in a cold sweat. He had no idea of what this dream meant
