Title: To Prevent….To Protect

Summary: Helga Lupin lost her parents to Voldemort, now a
third year student she wants to prevent her parent’s deaths. This is the story
of Helga Lupin, a Gryffindor that will do anything to prevent and to protect.Disclaimer: I own nothing, but Helga and her sweet dreams.
Chapter 5: Emily’s Trouble
Helga found
Emily later that evening, after dinner, working through a huge pile of work.
Helga sat down and didn’t even try and get her attention. She didn’t want her
to snap at her. Finally Emily looked up and gave a huge yawn.“What time is it?”
she asked.“A little after
eight,” Helga answered. “So what are you doing for homework?”“Oh nothing,” Emily
said. “Professor McGonagall wants us to work on Switching Spells, but I’m
having a little problem with it.”Helga felt like laughing. Emily Snape having problems with
homework.“So where’s your
homework?”“Oh I haven’t done
it yet,” Helga said. “Professor Lupin just wants us to write a summery about
Boggarts.”Emily stared at her.
“Is that all?”
Helga nodded.
“Lucky you, I’ve
still got loads to do,” she said. “However, I get the pleasure of seeing you
work harder next year.”“And I get to see
you go into the hospital wing next year,” Helga countered.Emily grinned at her and then returned to her work.
Later that
night Helga was awaken by the sound of Emily having a horrible nightmare. She
could hear her moaning in her sleep and then screaming as though someone was
causing her pain. Everyone woke up at once, but Helga was already at her bed,
trying to wake her up.“Emily, please wake
up,” Helga begged.Emily woke with a start and looked around.
“W-What happened?”
she asked.“You were having a
horrible nightmare,” Helga told her.Those words made Emily break down and cry. Helga looked at
her sadly and then did what any good sister would do, she held her.“What happened?”
Helga asked.“N-Nothing,” Emily
stammered.Helga looked at her.
“You can tell me
anything,” Helga said. “I’m your sister.”Emily sniffled.
“I dreamt that he
came after me,” she told her. “He beat on me and I screamed, but no one
answered.”Helga knew right away she was talking about Lucius, the
Slytherin that Emily had fallen for. He use to beat Emily so bad that she
landed in the hospital wing several times. Helga felt bad for her sister,
having an abusive ex-boyfriend.“Don’t worry, Em,
no one’s going to beat on you,” Helga said. “Because if they do, I’ll kill
them.”Emily smiled at her, a few tears rolling down her face.
“Am I going to find
someone that will care for me?” Emily asked. “I mean, my father told me how
much your parents cared for each other. Am I going to find that?”Helga smiled at her.
“If you have faith,
then I promise you that you’ll find someone.”“Thanks,” Emily
said.“No problem,” Helga
replied. “Now why don’t you go back to sleep.”Emily nodded and settled down. It took along time before
Helga finally went to sleep.Note: I wanted to put Emily into the light of being someone
that had a hard time in the relationship department. Don’t worry, we’ll find a
