Chapter 5
When she
opened her eyes she was standing in his sitting room. Her eyes needed a moment
to get used to the darkness but after a few seconds she was able to see a
crumpled figure lying on the floor.With a few
quick steps she was at his side. “Severus? Oh my god..
what did he do to you?” All she got as an answer was a
low moan. She turned him over without any effort.His nose
was bleeding and his right arm lay in an abnormal angle. His breathing sounded
strange. Suddenly he started coughing. A puddle of blood was forming next to
his mouth. That was when she panicked. She started pulling at his clothes
ripping off the buttons. There were bruises on this chest. She ran her fingers over
them. There was a cracking sound and something under his skin shifted. His
breathing became normal again.She shifted
her hands over his whole body until all his injuries had vanished.With a gasp
he sat upright. His black eyes searched the room in bewilderment. When he felt
hands on his shoulders he spun around and swung himself at the person behind
him.She was
pushed to the ground … she couldn’t breathe. His hands closed around her neck.“What do
you want? Who are you?!” Severus started to shake his attacker closing his
windpipe.She
couldn’t breathe and her vision started to become blurry. Marie tried to kick
him scratching her nails over his hands but to no avail. The room started to
spin and she lost consciousness.“WHO…ARE …
YOU?!” every word was punctuated by her head hitting the floor hard. Severus
didn’t hear the crack when her head hit the cold stone. Her
unconscious body lying limply beneath him. “W..
what… Marie?” he started to realize where he was … and what he was doing.
“Marie!” FUCK… no no no no… “Marie? Marie! Wake up…” he started to shake
her gently. Bending down he checked her breathing. It was there but not very
steady.Then he
noticed the blood on his floor. He picked her up slowly. Her arms hanging at
her sides like she was dead. With slow steps he took her to his bedroom and lay her on his bed.What was she doing here anyways? She wasn’t
supposed to be here!! He pondered while he ran to his potions storeroom. Picking up some vials
he went back to his rooms and noticed that he was in no pain. Not even
aftershocks of the Cruciatus How…did… A small cough brought him back to reality.“Marie? Can
you hear me?” he knelt next to the bed. “I need to roll you over so that I can
take a look at that wound on your head” He took her shoulders gently and rolled
her over She protested with a moan.Picking up
one of the vials he let little drops of the fluid fall into her wound. The
bleeding stopped. “There you go…” Picking up another vial he repeated the
procedure and the wound closed. He lay her back into
her original position and gave her a pain relieve potion. She drifted to sleep.Severus sat
on his bed next to her. Her eyes were closed and her breathing had returned to
normal. There were bruises on her throat and they had the shapes of his hands.Well she shouldn’t have been there in the first
place… she can blame that on herself!Walking
around the bed he lay on the other side and propped his head onto his elbow.The room
was only lit by a few candles and her hair shone beautifully in their light.
Her lips were full and looked so…. delicious. He started to bend down and
touched them with his own.Oh it had
been too long since he had felt a woman.. Since he had
smelled one… tasted one.. he
pulled back abruptly.. What now? I am acting like a lovesick
puppy?! … that’s pathetic..He rolled
over and let sleep overtake his mind…A/N: Not a
