-Epilogue-

*Twelve Years Later*

Walking into his living room in the small cabin he shared with his mate, Nick dropped his keys onto the small table then moved and dropped onto the sofa fully intending to nap until Monroe got back from his trip out of town to pick up an antique clock, however, as soon as he closed his eyes there was the sound of a crack outside followed by footsteps on the porch before the doorbell was rang.

Groaning, Nick stood up and made his way to the door with a jaw cracking yawn. Pulling it open with a fake smile stretching his lips, Nick looked at the strange dark haired, green eyed teenager standing in his doorway.

“Can I help you?” Nick asked.

“Are you Nick Burkhardt?” The teen asked, looking slightly hopeful.

“I am, but who's asking?”

“My name's Harry Potter. I'm sure you don't remember me, but we met twelve years ago when you and your partner saved me from an evil witch intent on eating me.” The green eyed teen said.

“I remember you. I also remember you going home with that greasy haired man all those years ago. I also think you'd be too young to be here by yourself.” Nick said, raising an eyebrow.

“Normally I would be, but I'm not exactly normal.” Harry said. “I have some things to discuss with you...do you think I could come in?”

“Of course.” Nick said, moving to the side so the teen could step in. “Come on in the living room and we can get comfortable. Would you like a drink?”

“No thanks. I'm too nervous to drink anything right now.” Harry said following him into the small living room and sitting on the recliner that Nick motioned to.

“So what is so important that you came all the way here to talk to me about?”

“I know this may seem odd, but I need you to promise not to freak out or anything before I finish.”

“I've got some practice with that so I promise.” Nick said with a grin.

“Good thank you.” Harry said before taking a deep breath. “Recently I've been having problems. I'd look at some people and they'd...change. Their faces would change and they would look like creatures so I started doing some research. First to see if I was going crazy or if it happened and then to see where I got it from.”

“So what did you find?” Nick asked, already seeming to know the answer.

“I found out about Grimm's and how you're one, but I also found out something else. Only one of the two people I thought were my parents were actually my parents. My mother and father were having problems so my mother took a few months away and traveled the world. When she was in New York she had an affair that lasted for only a week or so with a man named Reed Burkhardt, but it resulted in her becoming pregnant. She found out a month later, but when she tried to contact Reed to tell him she found out that he had died in a car crash.”

Taking a deep breath, Nick let it out slowly then said, “So you're my half brother?”

“Yes I am. And I would love to be able to have a relationship with you, but I understand if you don't want that.” Harry said, looking a little depressed at that thought.

“You really think I'd let my brother walk away? Especially back to those bastards that left you here all those years ago?” Nick asked, sounding offended.

“Maybe not with the whole Grimm thing, but my mother wasn't exactly normal either. My mother was a Witch.” Seeing Nick's look, he quickly added, “Not like the one that tried to eat me. Nothing like that. She was a wand waving, potion making, good witch.”

“And you're a witch as well?” Nick asked.

“No I'm a wizard. If you'd like I have a few books you can read that will tell you all about the kind of Wizard I am. I also understand if you want nothing to do with me because of this. That's why my Aunt and Uncle left me here. They hated magic and couldn't wait for me to 'get lost' so they could have their perfect, normal family back.” Harry said.

“You know you'll be moving in with me and I'll be getting custody of you, right?” Nick asked, seriously.

“I was hoping you would. My Aunt and Uncle will probably gladly sign custody over with no problem. The only problem might come from the Headmaster of my school He doesn't like when I try to control my own life. He even went as far as to use a spell against my Aunt and Uncle so they couldn't try to abandon me somewhere again.”

“Well he better get used to it because I don't take kindly to people messing with the ones I consider family. And you, Harry, are family.”

Smiling, Harry said, “I know you just found out and all, but you're a great big brother...one question though, how would you feel about meeting my boyfriend?”

So this is the end of the extended prompt. I had hoped I would have been able to make it a lot longer/with more depth and all that, but I couldn't. I hope to have a different story out for you all soon. Thanks for reading this one and I hope you enjoyed it.
