Hermione’s P.O.V

Lily and I broke apart as the loud banging continued. We looked at each other unsure of what was happening with us. “Lily! Mione!” Dorcas yelled. “What?” Lily called back angrily. “We need to talk.” She called back. I quickly straightened my clothes while Lily retied her halter top and looked at me a smirk on her lips. Before I could react she had me pinned to the bed her mouth closing over mine as she ground her hips against me for a few seconds. She pulled away and winked before walking to the door leaving me there shocked. I quickly stood up and followed her out where Remus was snarling at James and Sirius.

“You think you have the right to anything? That you can just come in here and say what ever the fuck you want? That’s not how it works! You chose your side, we chose ours and that’s all there is to it. Your not with the other death eaters anymore. Your outnumbered and it’s time you realized that!” He roared. Lily and I remained quiet. “You need to calm the fuck down Lupin.” James hissed . “You need to get the fuck out!” Remus shot back.

“SHUT THE HELL UP!“ I roared, “Before I hex you before you can blink. Remus, right now as much as I hate to admit it, their in the same boat we are. We don’t have much of a choice in this.” I told him. Lily was quiet before nodding in agreement. “I’m going to bed, if I get called out here to referee between the three of you, I’ll tie you all to chairs and start testing out some new hex’s.” I snapped before turning and walking to my room. “Yo Granger!” Sirius yelled causing me to turn in annoyance. “Your ass is still amazing!” He called. I flipped him the finger and continued to my room.

I closed the door behind me and waited. Lily walked inside a few minutes later. I was quiet. “Look I thought the same thing, but if they had been pregnant they would have found out before we made our decision and would have told us.” I shrugged. James shook his head. “I don’t think they would have. Haven’t you ever heard the saying ‘hell hath no fury like a woman scorned?’” He replied. “Mione and Lily were never like that.” I answered. “Fighting changes people pads, we don’t know just how much they’ve changed.” He murmured.

I pulled out a cigarette and lit it thinking of the last time I had been with Hermione. It had been about four years maybe more. We had decided to spend the weekend at a rented beach house. At the end of the weekend we broke up just as Lily and James had. The conversation still fresh in my mind.

Four years earlier.

“Mione, I don’t think it’s that serious.” I growled. “Sirius, don’t you see, were talking about the whole muggle born population being enslaved to purebloods. That’s something your parents would want!” She said looking at me in shock. “My parents would want all muggle borns killed!” I snapped back. “And you don’t think Voldemort wants that? Sirius there’s so much I know and I wish I could tell you.” She started. “Then tell me!” I said cutting her off. She shook her head her eyes welling with tears. “I can’t.” She whispered. “Of course not! You don’t know what your talking about and you can’t stand the possibility of being wrong!” I yelled. She looked at me as if I had just hit her.

“Sirius, you can’t possibly be agreeing with Voldemort’s view.” She snapped. “I might be!” I yelled. “I see, so your willing to throw everything we have away?” She asked. I was silent. “Oh…” She said trailing off. “Ok, then.” she murmured. “Were done.” She said looking at me. I stared at her shocked. “Mione…” She shook her head effectively silencing me. “No, Sirius. I love you more then I’ve EVER loved anyone. My heart is breaking. I can’t…not when I know…I’m sorry. I can’t.” She whispered tears rolling down her cheeks. She leaned forward and kissed my cheek before disappearing with a resonating crack.

PRESENT.

I never looked for her, afterwards I received the dark mark and never looked back. I hadn’t expected her and Lily to be the ones that walked into the ministry that night. James hadn’t either. The both of us had a million different thoughts. It had been clear from the shock on their faces they hadn’t been expecting to see us behind the masks. I exhaled a plume of smoke. They were so angry, when they realized what they were seeing. James and I figured we needed to haul ass. They had followed and then that spell. I knew Mione and Lily were powerful but fuck that powerful to make the two most powerful wizards in the world disappear in a cloud of black smoke.

“Pad?” James asked causing me to turn to him. “Sorry, stopped paying attention.” James rolled his eyes. “So what are we going to do?” I asked. “I don’t know, I don’t think we can leave. Their not going to let us. Were also outnumbered.” He pointed out. “So that leaves us where?” I asked. “The best plan would be to stay here, until either Voldemort or Dumbledore show up. Then he haul ass depending on the situation.” He shrugged.

“Were so fucked!” I growled. “I know, which means we turn the tables on them.” James said with a smirk. I laughed knowing things were about to get very interesting.
