Tommy was thrilled when they finally reached Hogwarts and took the boats across the lake.
"SEV'RUS!"
Severus grunted and looked down. Sure enough there was Tommy with Draco trailing behind him. He scooped Tommy up into his arms and put his hand on Draco's head.
"I missed you, Sev'rus!" Tommy beamed, hugging the man around the neck. "Tommy is at Hogwarts and Tommy will get to see you everyday!"
Severus indulged Tommy as he always did and didn't let anyone in the Great Hall until Minerva signaled him.
"Eleven year olds and any family they might have with them may enter the hall to be Sorted into their House." Severus called, "Line up in an orderly fashion!"
They quickly obeyed and he let them. He then moved back in the way of the door and continued to listen to Tommy babble at him. He noticed that Draco was talking to Orion and thus distracted. He refocused on Tommy. He smoothed the childs hair back and Tommy grinned up at him. This continued on and on until only the five year olds were left. By this time Ronald Weasley had been sick.
"What house will Tommy be in?" Harry demanded of Sirius. "Tell me! I want to go into that House too!"
"Tommy will most likely be in Slytherin, Harry." Sirius explained, "His mummy was and his daddy was too."
"Don't worry, Harry." Lily said, quickly. "You will be in every class with you. All the Houses have classes together."
"But Tommy wont wike me if I am not in Snake house. "
"He will learn to like you for you, Harry," Lily told her son. "Just be yourself."
Harry didn't really understand but he nodded.
"Go into whatever House you want to be in." James found himself saying.
Harry nodded.
Severus recieved the last signal.
"Five year olds line up here!" Severus ordered they quickly obeyed. Severus though had a problem putting Tommy. Tommy didn't want to be put down. Finally, Voldemort convinced his son to walk into the hall with the kids his age. "Follow me into the hall. There will be no pushing, no shoving, you will be quite."
The children and parents followed. Tommy yawned and rubbed his eyes. He was sleepy he was sure it was pass his bedtime.
Minerva watched the final group of kids come in. She could tell they were all tired.
"When I read your name come forward, and sit on the stool." Minerva instructed. "I will put the hat on you and you will be Sorted into your House."
She began calling names.
Orion and Harry went to Gryffindor, Draco went to Slytherin.
It seemed like forever before Tommy was called.
"Riddle, Thomas."
Tommy walked forward unsteadedly.
"Slytherin!" Tommy yelled then tried to march to the table Draco had gone to. His mommy caught him and put him on the stool. He could hear laughter as the hat was lowered on to his head. "SLYTHERIN!"
"SLYTHERIN!" the hat agreed.
Tommy threw the hat off of his head and walked unsteadedly to the cheering table. He was tired he just wanted food and a bed and he wanted it now. He fell asleep through the rest of the Sorting. He had to be woken up and fed then carried down to his bedroom and tucked in.
When Tommy woke up he was pleased to see that he was indeed in the same room with Draco. He got dressed in his girl uniform this morning. He was able to tie his hair back as well. He brushed his teeth and tried to woke his cousin all before his parents, aunt and uncle came in.
"Dragon not wake up." Tommy said, running to his mommy. "UP!"
Bella cooed and scooped his son into her arms.
As soon as Draco was ready for class they went up to breakfast. Tommy ate all his favorite things then was taken to class on the ground floor. The classroom was large with big tables. He was almost crying the moment he was set down.
"Tommy looks pretty today too!" Harry said, taking and kissing Tommy's hand. "No cry, Tommy. I not hurt you. We play blocks."
Healer Sparrow added this interaction to her files as she watched Harry lead Tommy over to the blocks and try to get him to play. Tommy was almost in tears but played a little he sniffled a few times.
"WOTCHER, COUSINS!"
Orion and Draco got their normal hyperactive almost strangling then Tommy got picked up, hugged and kissed on gently.
"She's so mean." Orion coughed.
"So hyper so early." Draco cried, just sitting down.
"so cute!" Tonks was saying as she hugged and kissed on Tommy, "So adorable!"
"Nymphy go away." Tommy finally said, "Tommy is at school."
"Okay, Tommy." Tonks said, brightly and put him down. "I'll come back at lunch to see how you're doing."
Tommy tried to run off but Harry caught him and took him right back to play blocks.
