   The next day seemed pretty normal for Severus, he did not see Lily or Sera all morning. Somehow that made him feel disappointed, but he knew Lily was taking an exam but had no clue where Sera was. For some reason, not knowing where Sera bothered Severus a lot, especially after he noticed that Sirius Black was not with the rest of the Marauders.
   Severus had been hanging out with Turnus, Evan, and Regulus, but a little before lunch he got up and went for a solo walk. He could use the time to think about what Sera and Lily asked him to think about. But for some reason, Sera kept crossing his mind and was hoping to find her. As much as he tried to think about why he wanted Lily and to be a Death Eater, but all he could think about was Sera.
   Why was she being so helpful, why could he not stop thinking about her? It would be so much easier to forget them both, he found himself thinking. If he really thought about it Lily would never be good for him, she already despised most of his friends and could not stand that he was into the Dark Arts.
   Severus stopped dead in tracks when that came into his mind, he had been in love with Lily since he was nine years old. Suddenly love felt like a very strong word, he rubbed his head, what was coming over him. If he really thought about it, as a fellow Slytherin, Sera was a much better choice for him. Was he developing feelings for Sera, he barely knew her.
   If Severus really thought about it, none of it mattered, he would never be good enough for Sera. She was Serafina Selwyn, he knew that last name, she came from one of the sacred families. Severus, well he was not so lucky, his father was a muggle, not that he liked to admit to it. Even though he liked to think of himself as the 'Half-blood Prince' that really did not mean much either, his mothers maiden name still was not that pure.
   Most Slytherin girls were okay with their boyfriends being into the Dark Arts, but never cared much for it themselves. What Severus really wanted was a girl who was just as into the Dark Arts as he well. As well as one who did not care about his blood status, but he was not stupid, that kind of girl did not exist.
   Severus finally looked up from his thoughts, he had never been in this part of the dungeons before. He refused to admit he was lost, so he just continued walking around. Then he seemed to have reached a dead end, but then he found a doorway to his right, it was another dead end. It also had been a room about half the size of a classroom, and the room also had steps all around it as it dipped inward. Severus was about to sigh and try figure out his way back when he realized someone laying in the center of the floor. He looked closer at who was laying there, it was Sera.
   Sera was laying there staring up at the ceiling with her long red wavy hair sprawled around her head and was almost as long as her outstretched arms. Severus wondered why she was just laying there in her uniform, her skirt that would normally end right above the knee was now halfway up her thigh. He tried very hard not to think like a normal sixteen-year-old boy, so he looked at her face and fully noticed her freckles. He never really paid this much attention to Sera before but could tell why Evan and Black kept hitting on her. This is when she noticed him.
"Buno Severus," Sera said turning only her eyes to look at him. "Am vazut ca mi-ati gasit locul meu de ascundere."
"What?" Severus asked very confusedly. "I only understood my name in all that. I do not think I know that language."
"It's Romanian," Sera said sitting up. Severus watched has her red hair fell down around her. "Hello, and I see you have found my secret hiding spot."
"Oh I'm sorry," Severus said. "I'd leave you alone, only, I am kind of lost."
"That's alright," Sera said. "I came here to eat lunch." That is when Severus noticed the basket. "Would you like to join me, since you know, we are friends now. And well the house elves always overstuff it."
"Umm, alright," Severus said. "As long as it's a real offer and not a pity offer." First Sera gave raised an eyebrow at him and then patted the floor next to her. So he sat down next her.
"I do not pity people," Sera said as he sat down. "It feels like such a waste of time."
"Interesting," Severus said. "So why are you eating down here, instead of in the Great Hall?"
"I'm avoiding Rosier," Sera said. "He's been bothering me all morning, and calling me Serafina without permission." Severus found himself feeling very angry at his friend Evan over this, almost possessive.
"You speak Romanian?" Severus asked her as she opened the basket.
"My grandma Magda taught me some when I was very little," Sera said. "Before she died. And I just chose to continue with it."
   Then she pulled out a four pack of Butterbeer and placed it in front of them, Severus just watched. Sera then pulled out a little basket with two scotch eggs, a bowl of grapes and cheese, then a larger bowl with some fried chicken, and last some cookies.
"They packed that just for you?" Severus asked Sera nodded. "They really do over pack."
"Oh, I ran into Lily as I exited the kitchen," Sera said. "She said to meet her in the library after lunch, so around one pm." Then she pulled out some silverware and napkins and plates.
"Alright," Severus said, but he was only half listening. He was staring at Sera and thinking about how this was as close to a date as he ever came to one. For the first time in his life, he actually wanted this to be a date even though it was not with Lily. "You really have no interest in dating?" Sera gave him a strange look at this out of the blue question. "Sorry, I mean. Most Slytherin girls at our age are trying to nail down a pureblood husband. But you have offers from both Black brothers, Evan, Francis Longbottom in Ravenclaw, Turnus would date you, well all the single boys in school."
"Not all," Sera said. "Besides that would meaning getting to know people and people getting know me. And if anyone actually got to know me, they would not talk to me anymore."
"What do you mean?" Severus asked. Sera did not respond, instead, she just starting eating. Realizing she would not want to answer he added. "So did Lily say what we were studying?"
"Well I assume Astronomy and History," Sera said. "They are the last two main classes. She said she also had to study Divination, and we still have our Arithmancy test."
"I'm sorry, I have to ask," Severus started. "What do you mean by not all the single guys?"
"Well luckily," Sera started. "Annoying Potter doesn't like me, and you as well. You like Lily."
   This caused Severus to swallow hard, was she saying for him to like her. Did she like him, this confused him greatly, maybe she was just commenting on what she thought was going on. This was turning into the hardest day of his life, luckily she had not noticed anything about his internal struggle. So they sat there eating in silence.
