No One Comes When You Cry
Chapter 51
Next morning, Severus could move his legs. They were still a bit weak, but Sky kept giving him her own special potions and nagging him to exercise his legs over the side of the bed. By teatime, he was grumpy, but able to stand and walk unaided through to the study. He was now sitting in his favourite armchair before the fire, a fire whiskey in his hand and Sky sitting opposite as she studied him.
“Albus said there’s a prophecy.”
His eyebrows rose. “You know, you have the most annoying habit of pouncing on a subject, and announcing it out of the blue.” He sighed. “Yes there is, when did he tell you this?”
“Oh, it was ages ago. Do you know what it says?”
“Yes.”
“I want to know what it says, and who made it.”
“I can tell you who made it, Sybil Trellawney, our resident Divination Professor and supposedly a seer.”
“Seer, but I thought you didn’t do dark magic here?”
“We do not. Sky what are you getting at?” He was intrigued now.
She sat forward on the edge of her chair, focusing on him intently. “A true seer needs dark magic to make an accurate prophecy Severus, well that and a little blood, otherwise the prophecy is not complete, or is disorganized within its own structure and recited wrongly. How did she make it, where did she make it?”
“Slow down woman. First of all, how do you know this?”
“Rowena was a seer, she and Sal showed me how it should be done.”
He leaned forward in his chair, his eyes fixed on hers. “The prophecy was made at an Inn in Hogsmead. As to how, I have no idea, Albus has the prophecy, and was present when it was made. Sky are you certain about this?”
“As certain as I am that you like chocolate. Ask Sal or Rowena, they’ll tell you its true.”
“No need, I believe you. So the old fraud really is …a fraud.”
“What does that mean?”
“Everyone know Sybil is not a true seer, most of what she says is utter rubbish. Unfortunately, it has always been believed the two prophecies she did make are true. The reason Potter has that scar is because of that damned prophecy. She made a second one though, and that did come true.”
“I’m not saying the prophecy is completely wrong Severus, just incomplete, or muddled. If I knew what it said, I could ask Rowena to help me to …do you think Professor Trellawney would let me take her in the wall? We could find out if she got it right, and if she hasn’t, we can find out what it really should have said.”
Severus stared at her as if she were insane. “You would dare to question Trellawney’s seeing abilities? I refuse to be present when you do, I would rather face the Dark Lord.”
“Severus, that’s an awfull thing to say.”
“Never the less, it is true. You have never met the woman have you?”
“No, but she can’t be that bad.”
He said nothing at first, merely took another sip of his whiskey and gave her a wry look. “See Albus, I am sure he will be only too pleased to assist you in your …endeavour.”
“Right, I will.” She told him. Flouncing out the room, she stepped straight into Albus’ office.
The headmaster did not look at all surprised to see her, though he wondered whether she left the door open intentionally or not, as she threw herself into the chair in front of his desk.
“Sky, back so soon?”
“The prophecy, I need to know what it says, and I want the person who made it to come with me in the wall so I can verify it.”
His brows disappeared, he raised them so high. “You do not want anything too challenging then?”
“What do you mean?”
“The prophecy is not a problem, though I would like to know why you feel the necessity. As for Professor Trellawney, I shall require an explanation.”
She told him what she told Severus, then waited for his reaction, expecting him to doubt her words.
“Professor Trellawney is easily upset, she will need to be approached carefully, and with great tact, so as not to hurt her feelings.”
“That’s why I came to you, Severus said you’d know how to handle her.”
“Did he indeed? How thoughtful of him.” He answered in a rare burst of sarcasm.
Sky missed the edge of insincerity in the Headmasters voice. She’d never met Trellawney and had no idea what the woman was like.
“For now, the prophecy, this way dear.” He led her over to a small side table and removed his pensive from a small cabinet, along with a bottle full of a silvery, swirling substance.
Albus emptied the contents into the pensive and indicated for Sky to dip her wand into the bowl.
Sky saw Albus and a tall, skinny woman with enormous glasses. They were sat in a room discussing her chances of teaching divination at Hogwarts. The Headmaster was about to refuse her the position when the woman went into a trance, her eyes became impossibly wide and her voice deepened as she spoke.
The one with the power to Vanquish
the Dark Lord approaches.
Born to those who have thrice defied him,
born as the seventh month dies, and the
Dark Lord will mark him as his equal,
But he will have power the Dark Lord
knows not and either must die at the hand
of the other, for neither can live while the
other survives.
The one with the power to vanquish the
Dark Lord will be born as the seventh month dies ...
Trellawney then slumped forward for a moment, let out a small “oh” and looked surprised.
“Did something happen? Why are you looking at me like that Headmaster?”
Sky pulled out, a frown on her brow. “It’s genuine, but something is wrong with it. I don’t know what, but something is. Albus I need her to come in the wall with me, please.”
“You ask a great deal of me Sky, but I shall do my best. I do hope you are not in a hurry, persuading Sybil to do this will not be an easy task, or a pleasant one.”
“Thank you. If you have any problems persuading her, let me know.”
She returned to Severus, her mind repeating the prophecy over and over. Either something was missing, or something was mixed up. She didn’t know what it was and it was going to bug her until she did.
“So, did you hear the prophecy?” Severus asked as she sat down on the bed.
“Yeah, and something’s not right.”
“Why does that not surprise me.” He said dryly. “We all know the woman is a fraud, why Albus insists on allowing her to fill young minds with her drivel is beyond me.”
“Oh the prophecy is genuine Severus, it’s just not right. The trouble is, until Albus can persuade her to let me take her into the wall and find out what it is, we wont know what it was meant to say.”
“Meanwhile, you were going to tell me why you have a whole jar of honey in your possession.” He said hopefully.
Sky gave him a mischievous look. “I was going to wait, until you’re more …able.” She told him, her eyes averted.
“Able?” he growled. “I’ll show you able woman.” he roared, grabbing her and pulling her down on the bed.
A quick wave of his wand and Sky was naked. He flipped her onto her back and positioned himself on top of her. “So you think I am not able do you?” He asked, his voice purring.
“Severus.” She whispered, surprised at how quickly he’d moved and it filled with desire at being put in this situation so fast. “I thought, I …your legs …”
“Are fine.” he finished for her. “More than fine in fact, as I am about to prove to you.”
The honey was forgotten as he entered her smoothly, pleased to find she was already wet and ready for him.
He didn’t hold back as he drove into her again and again, quickly bringing her to orgasm. It seemed as though he’d waited forever to do this and he was soon ready to come himself. He pulled back and stopped, not yet ready to let go, relishing the way Sky clawed at him, begging for him to carry on.
“Severus please, need, now.” She gasped, pulling at his buttocks desperately.
He smiled down at her, the desire and openness in her eyes was almost enough to take him to the brink again and he could hold off no longer. Her belly seemed to be getting bigger all the time, and rather than risk crushing her, he knelt and pulled on her hips, her bottom now high on his lap.
Sky wrapped her legs around his waist, locking her ankles together as his grip tightened and he yanked hard at her, forcing her over him.
He knelt higher and rammed into her, pulling on her each time, Sky held tight to the headboard to give herself some leverage as she tried hard to move with him.
But Sky was so lost to the sensations he was sending coursing through her that she gave up and let him take total control.
Severus too was lost now, he could feel her next orgasm building along with his own and he didn’t want to hold off any longer. “Sky.” he gasped. “ I’m so close, come for me, come now.” He panted.
And Sky did, the mere sound of his voice tipping her over that crest and she tightened around him as he gave one final thrust and held her tightly, his cock pulsing as he shot his seed into her.
“Yesss.” he hissed as he felt her walls closing tightly around him, pulsing around his cock, squeezing it and draining every last drop of come from him.
He caught his breath and pulled his now softening member from her. Her legs fell to his sides and he did a quick scourgify before moving to lie beside her.
“Tell me witch, was I able enough for you?”
“She reddened and buried her face in his neck. “Very able.” She told him, then started to giggle. “But we forgot the honey.”
“You are wrong.” he told her softly. “You provided me with honey of your own making.”
Sky and Severus both went to sleep with contented smiles on their faces.
The following day, after waking, having sex, bathing and having sex again, Severus was ready to face the world again. Well Hogwarts at any rate. He took another of Sky’s potions and felt fine.
He and Sky strolled the grounds together. Severus rolled up his shirtsleeves, something he’d been unable to do openly for many years, as the pair basked in the morning sun. In fact, he could not remember a time when he felt so contented as he did now.
Sky was wearing a pair of not too short shorts and a loose, sleevless blouse top. There were no students so Severus did not complain at her lack of attire.
“You are growing bigger all the time Sky, and you are blooming.”
“Blooming?” She asked, puzzled.
“Yes, glowing. You have a radiance about you at the moment and it suites you.”
Sky looked down at herself, expecting to see a glowing light or something.
He chuckled. “Not that kind of glow, it is a glow that comes with your condition. Pregnancy suites you Sky, and you look beautiful.”
She felt her cheeks redden. “Well my face is glowing, that’s for sure.” She told him, putting a hand to her burning cheeks.
“You know we must go to the Ministry tomorrow?”
“What? I’d forgotten about that. Do I have to? Can’t we just write them a letter or something?”
“No we cannot, Sky you have nothing to fear and nothing to hide. Believe me, once it is proven that you are who you are, you will have the pleasure of claiming any inheritance you might have. You at least know you have a sizable house, and I believe the Ministry has been holding much more that rightfully belongs to you. Personally, I am looking forward to seeing the expression on the Ministers face when he is forced to return what is yours. I believe Albus is of the same mind as myself.”
“You two don’t like this Ministry do you? Or the Minister.”
“We are not enamoured of him no. He is more interested in lining his own coffers, and taking the easy option as far as the Dark Lord is concerned. This will be a blow to his fortunes, since I dare say he has been freely partaking of your own fortune for himself. If that is the case, then he will have to replace what was taken from his own vaults.”
“But that’s wrong, cant someone do something about it?”
“Only if it can be proven. Should our suspicions prove correct as far as you are concerned, then we may be able to expose him and have him removed from his seat of office.
Wednesday morning at 9:55, Albus, Severus and Sky were in Albus’ office. The Headmaster collected several scrolls from his desk drawer and said he was ready to leave.
Severus took hold of Sky’s hand so she could open the office door directly into the Ministry reception area.
They stepped up to the desk where a man waited to check their wands. He weighed Severus’ and Albus’, but when it was time to take Sky’s wand, she was somewhat reluctant to hand it over. As a result, the man burnt his fingers several times trying to take it before giving up. Nor would she tell him what the wand was made from or what core it contained, so he could not record it.
“Perhaps you should just leave it on my desk, you may collect it on your way out.”
“There’s no point, it wont stay with you.” Sky told him.
“I beg your pardon? Of course it will stay.”
“Please yourself.” She told him, putting the wand on the desk. She could see he was itching to pick it up and examine it. “I wouldn’t if I were you.” she warned him, before Severus led her through a set of gates.
Seconds later they heard a shout of; “OUCH.“ Followed by. “Hey, you cant do that.” Echo through the corridor as Sky’s wand flew into her hand. She smiled and tucked it into her sleeve as the man from the desk came hurrying after them.
“Madam, I cannot allow you to take an unregistered wand into the Ministry offices.”
“Then I suggest you tell that to the wand Mr Munch. As you have seen, the wand will not be separated from it’s owner.” Albus said. “I promise you it is necessary that Miss Morrigan has her wand with her, and since the Minister has requested her presence here today, I think it prudent that you not delay us any longer. Good day to you.”
Sky watched as the man blustered for a while then turned to leave with an annoyed expression on his face. He was mumbling all the while and Sky was glad when he’d gone.
She wasn’t so glad when a set of doors slid open and she was led into a large box. The doors closed behind her and she felt as though her stomach was somewhere on the ceiling.
“Severus.” She cried, grabbing his sleeve.
“It is an elevator Sky, it will take us to a different level of the building. It is nothing to be afraid of.”
“So why do I feel so funny?”
“Because we are travelling down.”
All of a sudden the lift stopped and Sky’s stomach was now somewhere in the region of her knees. “I feel sick.” She told him as they stepped out. I’m not going in that thing again.”
“It will not be necessary, we can leave the Ministers office via one of his doors and be in the Leaky Cauldron in an instant once we are done here.” Albus told her, smiling.
Albus led them into a large room with a desk and several armchairs. A few scattered tables held magazines, the like of which Sky had never seen before and the young woman sitting at the desk looked up.
“Headmaster, how wonderful to see you. The minister is expecting you, I shall let him know you are here.”
“Thank you Miss Appleyard, and how is life treating you?”
“Very well Sir, and it’s Mrs Weydon now. I was married two years ago.”
“Really, congratulations.” he told her before she disappeared through a large door.
Severus was busy wrestling a Play Wizard magazine from Sky’s clutch, not wanting her to see pictures of naked wizards.
Sky on the other hand was more than curious and sulked when he finally managed to pull it from her clutches.
Mrs Weydon returned a few minutes later and ushered them over. “The Minister will see you now.” Then as an afterthought, she whispered. “Good luck, he’s in a lousy mood.”
“He will be in an even worse mood by the time we leave Mrs Weydon.” Severus told her ominously, before taking hold of Sky’s arm and following Albus into the room.
“Albus, Professor.” Said a portly man sitting behind an enormous desk. “And this must be the young lady in question.” He added, narrowing his eyes slightly and smiling at Sky.
She noticed the smile did not reach his eyes as he held out a hand to greet her. She stayed put and did not offer up her own hand, preferring to stand slightly behind Severus. “Hello.” she said softly.
“Yes. Yes.” The Minister said, noticing her hesitation and seeing her as the type of person it would be easy to intimidate.
“I believe you are claiming to be Miss Sky Morrigan , is that correct?” He looked directly at her as he spoke.
Sky nodded, then looked away as a paper aeroplane shot passed her head and hovered in front of the Minister.
He took the memo and opened it. “Hmm. You refused to check in your wand at the desk. Why was that?”
“I didn’t refuse.” She told him quietly.
Albus took up the tale. “Mrs Snape did in fact offer her wand for weighing Cornelius, unfortunately Mr munch was unable to hold the wand long enough to register it. Mrs Snape also left her wand on the desk, only for it to follow her shortly afterwards. At no time did she refuse.”
“That is not the message I have on my memo.” Fudge told him.
“Then your memo is wrong Minister.” Severus said, his face an unreadable mask. “Perhaps you would care to take it from her yourself?” he asked, his eyebrows raised hopefully.
“Sky, give the Minister your wand.”
“What?” she whispered. “But I don’t want to.”
“Even better, now offer him your wand.”
She did so and the Minister looked at her sternly as he snatched the wand, only to yowl a moment later as it burnt him. “What kind of spell have you got on that wand?”
“I haven’t, it does it on it’s own. It only likes me and people who like me.”
“Mrs Snape, wands do not think. It is an absurd notion, and even were it so, I have only just met you. As yet, I have not formed an opinion as to whether or not I like you.”
TBC Sorry this has took so long, my muse was lost.
