Battle For The Prophecy

(Violence Warning)

When they walked through the door, Vegeta growled as he looked at the rows and rows of orbs “Just great, this is going to take forever.”

Harry shook his head “I don’t think so.” he then started walking briskly and counting under his breath

Vegeta eyed their surroundings and looked at Gohan. They both felt the energy signatures surrounding them in the darkness but the wizards didn’t. They mutually agreed to keep silent about it.

They paused when Harry did. Harry turned around and said “He… He should be here.”

Gohan looked around then tilted his head at a tag on one of the orbs “Hey Harry? This one has your name on it.”

Harry walked over to the orb then slowly picked it up. Vegeta flicked his tail then looked around more. Vegeta found some newer looking orbs and looked at them curiously. The rest of the orbs looked old and dusty while these looked like they’ve just been placed there not that long ago. Vegeta picked up the tag of one and blinked as his brow furrowed. The tag had Goku’s name on it. Vegeta looked at the other tags: Gohan, Piccolo, Trunks and his own name. He looked a bit farther down and saw another orb in the same situation of looking new. He read the tag and murmured “Bardock?”

“What did you find Vegeta?” Gohan asked as he walked up to the Prince.

Vegeta grunted “These have our names on them.”

Gohan looked at them then said “I remember reading about these. If the person who the prophecy isn’t for picks it up, they would go mad.”

Vegeta snorted but heeded the warning. He picked up his labeled orb and looked at it curiously. A deep raspy voice he didn’t recognize then spoke to him:

“Child of the Silver Traveller born from darkness and light,
Foes will fall from righteous gold and blue.
Power is thine name which was born from love and pain.
The past haunts those who can't forget.
The future haunts those who remember but deceive.
Lies build trust but build too far,
The harder you will fall once the lies are revealed.”

Vegeta snorted and put it back on the shelf “Whatever.” He looked over at Gohan “What about you brat?”

Gohan shrugged then reached over and grabbed his and looked down into the swirling smoke. A voice that sounded similar to Kami’s rasped out:

“Passion bloomed from a demon's heart,
But do demons stay dormant when they dream of blood?
A body made of good and evil marks its legacy,
A being brought forth from love will forge their path.
Be wary of the snake that hides in the grass,
Death finds its home in the future and past.”

Gohan frowned but then stashed it into his robes “Alright then.”

“Harry!” Hermione shouted.

Everyone turned and surrounded Harry defensively as a cloaked figure walked forwards. Harry yelled “Where’s Sirius?”

The man spoke coolly “You know, you really should learn how to tell the difference between dreams,” he took out his wand and swiped it across his metal masked face. “and reality.”

Vegeta smirked “Lucius, fancy meeting you here.”

The elder Malfoy nodded, his lip curved in a small smile “Prince Vegeta.” He looked at Harry, the smile dissipating “You only saw what the Dark Lord wanted you to see.”

Harry turned on Vegeta and seethed “You knew?!”

Vegeta snarled, his tail lashing behind him “Don't get snappy with me brat! I had no idea he would be here!”

Lucius sighed then said “Now, Potter, hand me the prophecy.”

Harry glared at Lucius “You do anything to us and I’ll break it.”

“AHAHAHA! He knows how to play!” A witch cackled as she walked forwards “Itty, bitty, baby… Potter.”

Neville looked in shock “Bellatrix Lestrange…”

Bellatrix smiled “Neville Longbottom is it? How’s Mum and Dad?”

Neville clenched his fists “Better now that they’re going to be avenged!” Neville went to raise his wand but Vegeta elbowed his stomach.

“Not now boy!” He growled “Idiot!”

Lucius waved a hand slowly “Now let’s everybody calm down. All we want is that prophecy.”

Harry pointed his wand higher at the Malfoy “Why did voldemort need me to come and get this?”

Bellatrix gasped “You dare speak his name…?” she then shrieked “You filthy half-blood!”

Lucius said calmly “It’s alright, he’s just a curious lad aren’t you?”

Gohan went up next to Harry “Prophecies can only be retrieved by those who they are for. Otherwise they lose their minds to madness. Am I correct?”

Lucius smiled “You are quite bright young man.”

Gohan smirked “Yeah, for a half-breed I guess I am pretty smart.” he heard Bellatrix hiss thinking he was inferring he was a wizard half-blood and not a literal half-breed.

Lucius focused back on Harry “Haven’t you always wondered what was the reason for the connection between you and the Dark Lord? Why he was unable to kill you while you were just an infant?” as he spoke, he and Bellatrix slowly walked forwards “Don’t you want to know the secret of your scar? All the answers are there Potter, in your hand. All you have to do… is give it to me and I can show you everything.”

“I’ve waited fourteen years…” Harry murmured.

Vegeta and Gohan looked around at the surrounding Death Eaters. They both sensed a familiar energy under one of the cloaks but didn’t say anything. Lucius tisked, his face emoting false empathy “I know…”

Harry stared at the blonde as he said “I guess I can wait a little longer. NOW!”

Suddenly everyone minus Vegeta yelled “Stupefy!” Vegeta just smirked coldly and threw a Ki ball at a Deatheater, blowing off their right arm. The male shrieked in pain and fell to his knees as the group then ran away. They were halted by a smoky form of Lucius then quickly turned left.

Getting slightly separated, Neville and Gohan ran down a walkway. Suddenly a Death Eater popped in front of them and Gohan kicked the man in the jaw then Neville swiped his leg out and drew the man’s legs from under him. When the man fell, Neville shouted “Petrificus Totalus!”

When the man froze up, Gohan patted Neville on the back with a smile “Nice job Neville!” Longbottom grinned and the two of them ran off to find the group.

As Harry, Ron and Hermione ran, Harry looked over to see a cloaked figure flying next to him. Harry gasped out, tired already from from running so much “Bar!”

Bardock grinned then said quickly and quietly “Your friends are up ahead, I’ll try to hold this one off. Throw a spell at me quick!” Harry nodded then threw a random spell at the man. He watched as Bardock exaggerated the blow and purposefully flung himself in front of a stupefy spell then crashed into the Death Eater following them.

As the trio ran, they suddenly yelped as everyone literally ran into the others. A Death Eater swooped down and started to close in on them. Vegeta growled with a grin as he stepped forwards and held out his hand “Too easy. Fucking weaklings deserve to be destroyed!” he snarled “Big Bang Attack!” a destructive blast of energy fired from Vegeta’s palm and hit the Death Eater, completely obliterating him. The explosion that went off shook the racks that held the prophecy orbs and they slowly started to fall, then fall faster and faster.

Gohan snarled angrily “Oh look what you did now your Highness!” Gohan said the Prince’s title in a mocking tone that set Vegeta’s teeth on edge.

Vegeta snarled back at him “Oh shut up and get back to the door!” he then floated up, grabbed Harry and Hermione’s waists and started to fly towards the exit.

Gohan huffed then said “I can only carry so many safely.” he picked up Luna and Ginny then nodded to Ron and Neville “Kami speed you two. I’ll try to come back when these two are safe. Keep running!” he then sped off after Vegeta.

Ron and Neville were running when they were suddenly picked up by and masked Death Eater. The mask from what they could see was shaped almost like a wolf of some sort. The figure said “Looks like you two boys need some help! Sorry for the rough landing!” he then threw them through the door then flew upwards and hid his signature as he waited in the shadows.

When everyone landed in the new room, Gohan looked around “Huh, Department of Mysteries, they got that right didn’t they?”

Vegeta made a small sound this frowned “What’s that noise?” he looked around then spotted an archway “What is that?”

Harry slowly walked toward the arch way “Can you tell what they’re saying?”

Gohan frowned “I’m not sure.”

Luna walked up to the three of them and said softly “I hear them too.”

The four of them listened before Harry said quickly and turned around “Get behind me!” he pointed his wand upwards towards the door as everyone did the same thing. Gohan and Vegeta got into a fighting stance and stared at the door intently. Suddenly two smokey figures swooped down from behind them and started to circle them, the smoke inhibited everyone vision. Two voices were heard shouting the same words:

“Prohibere Energia!”

Vegeta and Gohan were heard making sounds of alarm and protest in the thick black smoke. As the smoke finally vanished, it was revealed that Harry had curled up on the floor in a tight ball. When Harry slowly stood up, he saw that everyone had been captured. Look around, he saw that Gohan was behind held by his tail and was splayed facedown on the ground, groaning softly in a hazy voice. Vegeta was being held by his hair and tail as well but he was on his knees, snarling and growling loudly, his face grimacing in pain. Harry turned when he heard chuckling and the click of a cane. Lucius said calmly “Augustus, please refrain from hurting my son’s friend. Draco would be sad if he was hurt.”

Vegeta snarled and spat “As if you weaklings could hurt me!” he roared when he felt a squeeze on his tail.

Lucius said firmly “Augustus.” The man grunted then loosened his grip slightly but still kept the Prince from moving. Lucius turned to Harry and said with a smirk “Did you actually believe it? No, were you truly naive enough to think that children stood a chance against us?” he walked past Harry then turned to him and held out his hand “I’ll make this simple for you Potter. Give me the prophecy now, or watch your friends... die.”

Gohan managed to groan out “D-Don’t give it t-to him Ha-arry!”

But everyone watched as Harry slowly lifted his hand the placed the orb in Lucius’ hand. Lucius lifted the orb up and stared into it intently. Suddenly a soft white glow appeared then disappeared behind Lucius and the blond turned around in confusion.

Sirius Black narrowed his eyes “Get away from my Godson.” He then pulled his fist back and punched Lucius in the face.

The Death eater holding Vegeta was in shock of the punch that the loosened his grip on Vegeta. Little did the man know that was the worst mistake he had made in his life. As soon as Vegeta was free, he roared murderously then spun on the Death Eater and launched him into the wall. The Saiyan then proceeded to tear him apart with his teeth and hands, making his insides become the outsides within seconds. The Death Eater screamed bloody murder as he was tore apart savagely, his death immediate as his heart was torn from his chest.

When Gohan’s Death Eater loosened his grip, he managed to push up enough then spin to kick the man’s legs and sent him tumbling down off the rock they were on. He launched after the man then started to punch him repeatedly; his instincts and Vegeta’s rearing their heads from their tails being touched and pulling in such a way. Once the man’s face was a bloody pulp, he hissed then launched himself at the next Death Eater.

Vegeta licked the blood from his fingers then looked around with narrow eyes. He didn’t have his Ki at his disposal for some reason and he didn’t like that. Luckily he was still a very strong person without it. He let out a beastly battle roar then ran forwards, jumped up and smashed his fist into a Death Eater’s skull that was battling someone from the Order. When the man was down, he looked up with a snarl. Vegeta recognized Lupin and he nodded before grabbing the Death Eater and slamming him into a wall with a sick crunch.

Lupin was beyond surprised to see Vegeta fighting without a wand then grimaced as he saw the Prince tear off the arm of the Death Eater he flung into the wall. He shook his head then flew off to continue fighting as the Death Eater’s screams filled the room as he was torn limb from limb.

Gohan snarled as he flung the Death Eater he was pummeling into the air and into another Death Eater who was chasing an Order member. He looked around and saw Sirius and Harry dueling Lucius and another Death Eater, all four wizards fighting viciously. He sensed a wizard trying to sneak up on him so he just aimed his hand backwards and shot the man with an energy beam, his eyes not leaving the two duels. When Harry disarmed and made the man he was dueling fly backwards then disarmed Lucius’ cane, Gohan heard Sirius shout happily:

“Nice one James!” Sirius and Lucius continued to duel till Black disarmed Lucius and the man was now wandless.

When the blonde was shot backwards from Sirius’ spell, a familiar psychotic female’s voice was heard yelling “Avada kedavra!”

“NO!” Gohan roared and lunged forwards, but it was too late.
