Hermione lay very still. She needed to escape this place.
Ha.
How many times had she said that? Thought that?
First Lucius, and now Malfoy. And Malfoy seemed to really hate her.
But there was no way he could be worse than Lucius.
The door opened and she sat up.
Malfoy quietly shut it.
‘Tell me, Hermione, if it hurts, okay?’
She opened her mouth, ‘Wha—‘
He waved his wand, and he must have uttered the spell quietly, because it took her a moment to realize she was bleeding.
He had cut her. Across the arm.
Before she could say anything, he stalked towards her and drew his leg back and kicked her. Much harder than before, in the gut.
She would have thrown up if there was anything left. She would have broken ribs. But the worse was the awful cramp in her belly.
She screamed silently, and then there was a feeling like something heavy pouring out of her.
‘What…’
Hermione stared stupidly at her legs. Blood was seeping out. A lot. ‘Oh my god…’
She felt light headed.
‘I had a baby…?’
Stupid girl.
When was the last time she’d had her period?
Draco spat on the ground. ‘I just did you a favor. You should thank me. Go on. Thank me.’
Hermione couldn’t move. She felt like she was falling asleep.
Was she awake? Where was she…?

Lucius came with two other guards. Draco it seemed had holed himself up in one of the lower dungeons. Ones rarely, if ever, used.
He kicked the door in and waited for his guards to seize him, before asking, ‘Where is she?’
‘Fuck.You.’
Lucius smiled, ‘Charming. Tell me now, or this will get very uncomfortable for you—‘
‘Behind you, your grace--!
Lucius whirled. And for a moment stared stupidly at Hermione.
She lay on her side, not moving. There was so much blood, and she was covered in…
He felt his eyes narrow murderously, ‘Lock him in block B. I want him isolated. I will deal with him after.’ He picked her up, and immediately apparated.
He felt ill. If she were to die…
He gently lay her on a bed in the medic ward and grabbed the best medic there by his throat, ‘Fix her. Or I will kill you.’
‘Y-Yes, of course.’
People swarmed around him, past him, to heal her.
‘Assessment?’
‘Broken ribs…bruises..dehydration…lacerations to the arms and back…’
‘Nurse, the blood---‘
‘Let me check…a miscarriage. ‘
Lucius did not move. He was frozen. Rooted the floor.
‘A…miscarriage, did you say?’
She wasn’t supposed to be pregnant. She was taking something to prevent that. But…
He turned and left the room. He didn’t realize his arm was trembling. Like anything, it was not completely full proof.
Draco would pay for this.
