Severus1snape: Well, I've had shorter, hehe.
Staar: Not if she can help it. And she knows just about everything about Snape; she studied his life (in the future).Although, what she remembers is questionable. It usually takes a trigger to bring back her memories.
Chapter 54-
The Gryffindor third year class was excited for their first lesson in DADA. As they followed Professor Lupin into the staff room where they were going to hold the class, Professor Snape came stalking up to them muttering a string of words that could not be made out. When he saw Professor Lupin he paused only a moment to give the man a deadly scowl before continuing on. His eyes sending cold looks to the group of young Gryffindors.
Sirius was waiting for them in the staff room. He didn't seem to want to leave Hogwarts and had spent the last three days there. Dahlia couldn't blame him after what he had been through the past several years. Sirius had said earlier that he wasn't useless to the school though, now it was like Hogwarts had two teachers for DADA, as he was very skilled in that subject.
And Dahlia was sure that he made that clear to Professor Snape.
Sirus whispered something to Professor Lupin who gave an acknowledged, "Thanks."
Sirius then smiled friendly at the Gryffindors. "'Ello!" The class greeted him and Professor Lupin started explaining what they were going to do to that day.
"Professor?" Hermione raised her hand for his attention.
"Yes, Hermione?" He asked warmly.
"Some of us already know how this works, would it be any trouble if we could make the first demonstrations?"
"Have you gone mad?!" Ron shrieked. Even though they had practiced the spell's incantation, that didn't mean they could use it against a real bogart. They had never been around one until now.
Professor Lupin smiled. "Certainly. If you would like to go first. Ron can be your partner." He said, ignoring Ron's protests. He gestured toward the cupboard that the bogart was trapped in. "Spread out now." He instructed the students, before he helped Ron get acquainted with his upcoming task.
Dahlia ducked behind the majority her peers, noticing Neville had done the same, who was trembling frightfully. "It's not real." She whispered to him as several of the Gryffindors began shouting out "Ridikkulus!" The class was paired off to practice.
"Is th-that why you're h-hiding back h-here with m-me?"
"We can do it together if you want?"
"I'd r-rather n-not... do it at a-all." He gulped as the Bogart transformed into a creature between a snake and a horse.
"Neville, Dahlia..." Professor Lupin called upon them after noticing that they hadn't moved. "Your turn."
Dahlia swallowed hard, bracing herself, knowing exactly what the bogart would turn into if she went up there alone. "Come, Nev." She said, taking out her wand. "We can do this."
Neville's lip quivered, but he followed Dahlia up to the front of the class where Professor Lupin asked Neville what he feared most, which happened to be Professor Snape. Dahlia thought what Professor Lupin had told Neville to do was a bit rotten, but she couldn't think of anything better herself.
"And you?" Professor Lupin asked Dahlia with a kind smile.
Dahlia warily shifted her focus to the cupboard that hide the Bogart away. "I know what to do, sir..." she said slowly, unwilling to announce that she was afraid of a man that only she knew of.
Through the corner of her eye, she could see that Professor Lupin nodded approvingly. "I'll let it out then."
She took a deep breath. Dahlia had no idea what exactly to think to repel the man that invaded her visions. All she knew was that he liked to cause harm to innocent, unfortunate people who happened to wander into his house seeking help.
Help they did not get.
The Bogart took no time to shift into Professor Snape, stepping out of the wardrobe it had been trapped in. Dahlia stepped in front of Neville who's mouth was moving, but no words were coming out. As soon as the black eyes of Professor Snape set forth onto her, his dark hair greened and shortened into Blake's spiked hairstyle. His black robes also shortened, stopping at his knees, and some of the black turned solid red. His black wool socks stretched halfway up his calves. The wand Professor Snape had gripped in his hands then transformed into a short throwing knife.
In just a short few seconds, the Bogart changed from Professor Snape to Blake. Several murmurs were heard as the crowd around Dahlia tried making sense of the Bogart's current shifting.
"You're not real." Dahlia whispered.
The fake Blake smirked, twirling the knife skillfully in his hand. "Oh, but I haunt you just the same, don't I, Dahlia?" He stared at her, as if calculating on what she was going to do next. "How about we show these worthless wizards what we can do?" He sneered pleasantly, releasing his knife, allowing it to hover in mid air. It spun in circles as if anticipating the idea of causing harm.
"No!" Dahlia screamed. "Leave them alone!" Think of something funny... She thought desperately. Something funny!
"Ah, there's nothing amusing about me though, is there?" His eyes narrowed and the knife flew itself out into the crowd.
"Stop it!" Dahlia covered her ears and shut her eyes tightly. "Stop hurting people!" She wailed.
"Riddikulus!"
Dahlia was balled up at the floor where she had been standing, whimpering incoherently. "Please don't hurt them, Blake!" She whispered frantically, tears cascading down from her eyes.
"It's alright, Lia." Harry said and placed a hand to her shoulder. Harry repeated those words while Professor Lupin dismissed the class.
"Who's Blake?" Remus asked Harry urgently.
Harry watched Dahlia worriedly. He bit his lip. "I don't know."
"You don't know the man that appeared there?" Sirius gestured to the wardrobe that the Bogart was trapped in once again. "Never seen him before?"
"No..."
"She's mentioned the name before." Remus said and he and Sirius helped her to a sofa. Dahlia was now mumbling pleas. Her face was beaded with sweat, and her shaking hands were rolling around each other.
"She's horrified." Sirius stated with a wrinkled brow.
"She needs a potion!" Harry suddenly scrambled out of the room.
"Harry!" Sirius called after him. "Blast..." Sirius said when Harry didn't call back. "Stay here with her." He told Remus.
Remus tried several spells to ease Dahlia but nothing worked on the girl. "Dahlia?" Her looked into her glazed green eyes, hardly yet used to the idea on how they matched her aunt's and her cousin's.
"They'll find out about you." Dahlia whispered moments later. "They will stop you."
"Hmm?" Remus spoke softly.
Severus burst in then. "Black, I swear if you say another word, I'll hex your fingers off!" He snapped, walking briskly to the girl, kneeling down to her.
Sirius stalked behind him, and Harry brought up the rear. "Sirius," Harry said gently. "Just let Professor Snape tend to my cousin. He's done this before."
"But she needs a dreamless sleep potion!"
Severus pursed his lips together and spoke to Remus. "If you don't get him out of here, I will." He growled dangerously.
Remus sighed and stood up from the sofa. "Let's go speak with Dumbledore."
"Maybe we can get him fired, Moony." Sirius said a bit too hopeful for anyone's taste.
"Go join them." Severus ordered Harry.
"I'd rather make sure she's okay."
"You had faith in me two minutes ago." Severus said, tapping his wand to Dahlia's head. "What changed your mind?"
Harry didn't appear to know what to say to that. Without looking at the boy, Severus said, "I'm going to talk with her. She might not want you around for it."
"Well, why not?" The boy replied exasperatedly.
"Maybe there are things she doesn't want you to have to know about..."
"Like?"
"Like the man the Bogart turned into."
"I've never seen that man before in my life!" Harry crossed his arms, narrowing his eyes. "And I'd like to know who he is!"
"From what I heard of your description; someone very skilled and... quite frightening; to Miss Dursley, at least." He paused, separating Dahlia's clammy, trembling hands from each other. "Miss Dursley...?"
Dahlia's wide eyes shut tightly, her face scrunched up as if she was trying to remember something. "I won't tell you." She said, a firmness to her voice. "I won't tell you anything."
Severus put on a blank face, refusing to show his concern for the girl. She was stuck in her mind at the moment and Severus honestly had no idea what to do about it.

Curled up on the freezing floor, Dahlia shivered. The pain at her feet had went away hours ago, numb from the cold. Every bit of her was numb. The squeaking glees of the rats had thinned and only when she heard nothing for many moments was when she grew curious. She opened her eyes but, of course, all she saw was darkness. Since she couldn't feel anything, she felt even more vulnerable than before, unable to even feel her way to the door.
She sniffed her wet nose, her fear unable to go away. Dahlia knew why Blake put her in here, but she wondered if he intended to keep her in the room until she took her last breath.
Something clicked behind her, a blinding flood of light made her cry out with a sharp pain to her head. When her eyes adjusted to the brightness, she watched Brunis slither to her and wrap himself around her neck. He looked a bit fatter than normal and it dawned on her then that her pet snake must have had a feast himself.
"Thank you..." she whispered hoarsely. He flickered his tongue out happily in reply.
Warmth slowly penetrated her nerves and the pain at her feet throbbed back. Dahlia grit her teeth and forced herself not to look at the mess of them. The grand amount of blood on the floor was enough to terrorize her. Blood was everywhere. Little rat paw prints and Brunis' slithering. Dahlia's attempts in getting away had also been marked with bloody smearing.
Brunis slid from her and his huge body slowly exited the room. She was supposed to follow him. Dahlia couldn't walk, so she had to crawl. The blood had dried, and stuck to her, but that didn't mean she was capable of not tracking behind a mess. Dahlia had a feeling Blake was not home, otherwise Brunis would not have been able to help her free. If she were lucky, she'd have enough strength before he returned to clean up the mess she had left behind.
It took a two agonizing hours of huffing and puffing before she got up to the attic that Brunis had led her to. He stopped in front of a closet and looked at her with his glorious, pearly white eyes. His head lifted and swayed slightly before his tongue flickered back out.
"What?" She asked breathlessly, crossing her eyes and hissing out from the painful throbs.
Brunis wrapped himself around her body and then slithered into the closet. A slight breeze blew against Dahlia's face before Brunis disappeared.
"Brunis?" She asked hoarsely. She crawled inside the closet and a moment later, the floor beneath her gave out. She screamed as she began falling. Quickly, in just ten seconds or so, she landed on a soft surface. After a quick look around, she realized it was a bed.
"Dahlia?" A girl around her age, who was maybe sixteen or seventeen with a thin fuzz of purple hair appeared in the door way of the room that she had stumbled into.
"Trianne!" she gasped in relief, realizing that she had teleported to her friend's home.
"Oh my word!" She shrieked, catching a glimpse Dahlia's state. She rushed to her and Dahlia yelped out as Trianne clasped her hands around Dahlia's feet.
"I know..." she said softly. "It'll only hurt for a few seconds more. What happened? There's so many chunks missing! It's as if something has been eating you-" Trianne paused in realization. "I told you what my Papa said about wandering out pass the parameter! Don't you ever listen?!"
Dahlia rested her head against the pillow, smiling in relief that the pain was gone. "Thanks a lot."
"You're old enough to know the cautions!" She scolded.
"I know..." Dahlia said. "I couldn't help myself..."
"It's a good thing you came here!" Trianne said hotly. "Wait... how did you get here?!" she asked suspiciously.
"My mother must have set up a teleportation pad up in the attic. Didn't know it until now."
"Interesting. Well, our parents were friends, so that comes as no surprise." She tapped her leg. "Rest now." She then summoned up a cup. "Mother's special apple juice."
"Lovely." Dahlia sipped the drink. "Still a favourite of mine."
Dahlia spent the day there before she knew she had to return home. "Give Blake our love." Trianne's mother said cheerily as Dahlia waved goodbye.
No one but Dahlia knew that Blake was a Devi. A secret she was unable to tell.
