Chapter 55-
Blake wasn't home when Dahlia had arrived back. He often disappeared for many days at a time. Especially after he had mutilated a victim to death. Now that she was healed though, her fingers began to tingle in that stinging sensation they did when someone needed help. It was a common thing that she and many others experienced. This didn't start happening until recently, her healing powers had come to a full maturity now, and she was able to heal the wounds of others, just as Trianne had healed hers. It was a power that came naturally but an occasional tutoring session was offered for those who struggled with the ability. Healing was one of the first powers they mastered; curing minor irritations by age twelve, and by the time they reached sixteen years, they could heal even those who were close to death.
Provided that they were not too far along; only those absolutely pure could bring a person back from death.
Dahlia took a deep breath and stared at the staircase that led up to Blake's forbidden part of the home. Maybe she had time to heal the man and set him free...
Blake would punish her though when he found out...
A sick feeling occurred in her gut making her want to throw up. She couldn't just pretend there was nothing going on. She had not been able to stop the previous victims from a sick fate, but maybe she could save this one man from a death he didn't deserve.
Dahlia wasted no more time on the topic. She ran up the staircase and into the room that the man had been stored in. With shallow breaths, she entered the room, gasping at the sight of the man. He was passed out now and was still held in place several feet above her, against the wall. Stakes had been jabbed in and through the palms of his hands, holding him up in place. He had numerous gashes and stabs throughout his body. Blood soiled his pale purple, abnormally long, once beautiful, robes. And two of his fingers had been removed. They lay at the ground beneath him, no doubt, sitting in the exact place they had landed after their removal.
Grimacing at poor man, Dahlia magically removed the stakes and waved her hand to catch the man's fall. Hastily, she took him out to the green house. It was secluded and far away from the main home, her garden being acres and acres big. If Blake returned anytime soon, she'd have plenty of time before he would find her.
Dahlia transfigured a bench into a bed with her mind and set to work on healing the man. It took several hours. She had to be very careful, as she was still new to this amount of power, but Dahlia was able to reattached his fingers, heal all his wounds, and make his pain go away.
"There you go." She said soothingly. "I am sorry for what Blake did to you..." Dahlia removed the blonde hair from his sleeping eyes, and then with a simple touch to his shoulder, she cleaned the mess from his skin and clothing. "You're almost as good as new." Running a thumb along his forehead, she said, "You can wake up now..."
The man's eyes fluttered open then, the bright blue saucers widened as he noticed her. "Pl-please!" He wailed. "Don't hurt me!"
"I won't. In fact, I healed you. See?" She lifted his hand to show him that he had his finger again. A small green line could be seen from her mind stitching, but other than that, no one would ever think that his fingers had once been detached.
"Bloody hell!" He gasped, sitting up and inspecting his hand, wiggling his fingers.
"You need to go home now, merlin."
The man's head snapped up to look at her. "Merlin?" He questioned. "Why do you call me that?"
"You are a wizard, aren't you?" Dahlia asked in confirmation. With a snap of her fingers, a magical wand appeared out from thin air. "A magical man who casts magic with a magical wand? This wand?"
"Yes! I am a wizard!" He lunged for his wand but Dahlia snatched it before he could. "Give me my wand!"
"It is what we call the male wizards; merlins." She explained, ignoring his command. "The God of your people?"
The man shook his head in confusion. "Merlin wasn't a God!"
"You wizards speak of him like he was one."
"And just what are YOU?!" He demanded. "If you are not a witch; what are you?"
"Someone who is going to help you return home safely."
"But I can't go home!"
"You certainly can not stay here!" She shrieked. "Surely you understand that?!"
He sighed. "My little sister is missing... I was supposed to be watching her, and she slipped out of my sight...I just know she came here... into your garden." He darted his eyes around, as if expecting to find her hidden away under one of the tables. "She loves flowers - you see. Especially pink ones. Couldn't help looking..."
Dahlia put a hand up to her forehead, dreading to hear anymore that this man had to say. "How old is your sister, merlin?"
"Please... Call me Draco. Draco Scorpius Malfoy."

"I've tried everything I can think of, Headmaster."
"As have I." Remus spoke up.
Several of the staff members were huddled around Dahlia who had been transferred to the Infirmary. Poppy was inspecting her, an orb of blue lit at the tip of her wand.
"Yes, Poppy?" Albus questioned, noticing her look of confusion.
"I don't remember seeing this before when I diagnosed her the last time..." The mediwitch said, absorbed in her thoughts. "There's something very strange about this girl. She has an abnormal ora surrounding her."
Remus performed the same spell as Poppy, and, he too, became confused. "Strange." He mused.
"Care to explain?" Minerva asked stiffly.
"Each witch and wizard has a cloud of energy that encircles around them. It's a sign of their magic. In this cloud, are several little shapes, some can be crescents, some are crosses. Most are shaped like Xs though, but Miss Dursley has several different shapes from that of the normal witch." The mediwitch narrowed her eyes in concentration.
Remus pointed to something that the others couldn't see. "Is that a bird?"
Poppy nodded. "I think so. A pair of them. And this-" it was her turn to point. "Looks like a star..."
"What's this all mean?" Minerva asked, catching sight of Albus and Severus exchanging looks. "Alright, what do you know?" She demanded. "What do you know about MY pupil?!"
"I've only seen this one time before, Minerva." Poppy said, standing up and giving the sleeping a girl a sympathetic look.
Minerva turned her attention to Poppy. "And?"
Poppy shook her head. "I should run some tests to be sure."
Draco ran into the room then, Harry close behind him. "Malfoy!" Draco stopped at Dahlia.
"Mr. Malfoy, Mr. Potter!" Minerva scolded. "You are supposed to be eating your lunch!"
"Is she alright?" Draco looked at Severus, apparently having not heard Minerva or didn't care to pay her any attention.
"Madam Pomfrey is trying all that she can." Severus answered evenly.
"What's wrong with her?" He asked.
"I already told you-"
"But, I'd like a professional's opinion, Potter!" Draco snapped.
"What's with the last name calling all of a sudden?" Remus cut in, having had witnessed their friendship in the past week, finding the sudden change of names curious.
"Severus, take the boys back to the Great Hall, before Poppy kicks us all out." Albus ordered softly, as the boys glared daggers at each other.
"After you." Severus gestured Harry and Draco to the door. Harry sent one glance at Dahlia before heading to the door.
"What about-"
"I can always send a quick owl to your father, Mr. Malfoy." Severus threatened coldly.
Draco grumbled and followed Harry, with his Godfather behind him.
"What's wrong with her?" Draco repeated to Severus.
"I can not say."
"That's my sister in there, I kind of deserve to know what's going on!" Harry demanded.
"I am not in the mood, boys. You will not take this out on me. If anything, this is Lupin's fault, for having such a dangerous lesson."
Draco scoffed. "If you taught Defense, we'd have done that same lesson last year, Professor."
"Another word, and I'll issue the both of you a week's detention."

After talking with the wizard, Draco Malfoy, Dahlia learned that it was common for their kind to get enchanted by her garden.
"Not many of us grow crops anymore. We find it intriguing that there are humans still out there that appreciate the fundamentals in life, and your garden is just so huge!"
"But how do you wizards keep finding this place? From what I understand, our city's been hidden away for centuries. Only our kind can walk through. My garden being the parameter of it."
Draco shrugged. "It just magically appeared one day. I remember that day too. I was sixteen, watching my young aunt play with her friends in the Battle of Hogwarts Memorial Park. There was this sound of a twinkling star, well you know, a harp maybe? A magical sound anyway, and, one by one, magnificent plants and trees started appearing. We were sure it was a spell. A tall, wooden, white and green picket fence divided us from it. For a while, we just admired the perfect growth of the plants. Some people even took pictures of them. Then, one day, some of the kids climbed over the fence and disappeared without a trace. A search party was sent out, and when one of the members of the party, Daniel Creevey was his name, came up to your house, a man, presumably the same one that attacked me, chased him off. Told him he'd gut him alive if anyone ever set foot into the garden again. Many men ventured out to try to get him to reason, but none ever returned. When their bodies eventually turned up, looking like they'd been truly gutted, several men sought out to capture him, but he was much too powerful. Signs appeared onto the outside of the fence then, 'Enter at will, Trespassers will die a horrible painful death'. The fighters gave up. Everyone was afraid to enter, and so a magical force was placed onto our side of the fence to keep people out. But, there's this flower, see, it grows along the fence line of your garden. Our Herbologists call it Parisa's Luring Beauty. This flower has pink petals, with silver speckles. Rumour has it, when you look at them, the speckles flutter from the petals, if the wind catches any of these specimens and is inhaled, you instantly become enchanted, and walk into the garden without even knowing it. "
And that was how Draco's sister was able to enter the garden. The enchantment was too strong for the protective force the wizards had made to keep their kind safe.
Draco then went into the garden to find his sister, able to pass through, since he was some sort of law enforcer, "Auror." he called it. Blake caught him soon after. "Almost as soon as I stepped into the garden, really, it was like the man was waiting for me."
"Your sister is only eight?" Dahlia asked.
"Aryssa is eight, yes."
"Quite a few years different between you..." she said eying him, he must have been at least twenty-five.
Draco nodded. "A surprise she was indeed. My father nearly fainted at the news."
"Well, the good news is is that I don't think she's here."
"No?" He looked suddenly confused. "How is that good?"
"I would have heard about it... Blake tends to boast about his victims. And if he didn't capture her, that's really grand news."
Draco sighed. "That's swell then, but where is she?"
"I know the answer to that." A soft voice answered, making both Draco and Dahlia jump with a startle.
"Gerad!" Dahlia gasped out in both surprise and relief. Gared was a short scawny Protector with no hair. Not many of their kind were categorized as Protectors, since it involved casting offensive spells, something that required a special state of mind amoung them. "Did Mr. Doctomo send you here?"
"He has." Gerad gave a small bow of his head in respect of Dahlia, knowing who exactly she was; not many knew her true identity.
Dahlia returned the gestured. "Does he know where the morgana girl is?"
"He sensed the morgana's danger right before her entry, and I was sent here to fetch her. Mr. Doctomo said it is now time for her to meet up with the man that seeks her so they can be on their way."
"Morgana?"
"Female version of Merlin." Dahlia explained quickly before stepping up to Draco. "Hold still."
"Why?" He asked cautiously, leaning back from her raised hands.
"I have one more thing to do, then you can have your wand, see your sister again, and return home." She froze him in place so he wouldn't move again and touched the temples of his head, extracting his awful memories spent there at Divinity. "You will not return here again." She ordered his mind. "You will not mention this place to anyone." she then sent his mind into a fog, making him incoherent for the time being.
"He's ready." Dahlia said to Gerad who nodded approvingly. "Tell Mr. Doctomo that I am grateful for his quick actions. Who knows what would have happened to that young morgana without him."
Gerad gave her a tilt of his head in confusion before he gave another nod. He pocketed Draco's wand and wrapped an arm around the man who stared adoringly at the wall with a goofy grin on his face.
"Good bye, Draco." She waved as Gerad hauled him to a corner where he created a portal right there on the spot. It would lead to Mr. Doctomo's home.
Draco would finally be safe. But, that wasn't something that could be said about Dahlia once Blake discovered his latest victim had been freed.
