Hermione’s eyes sprang open.
She blinked several times, staring up at what looked to be a white ceiling.
It took a few minutes for her eyes to adjust.
She was aware of a terrible thirst but her body wouldn’t move. Everything ached from her head to her toes. Even her hair hurt.
It was the strangest thing. She tried to move, nothing.
Her thoughts were slow. Sluggish. It took her several moments to form a full thought.
Water.
There were voices in the distance.
Suddenly a figure walked around the bed and sat beside her.
‘How long has she been awake?’
‘About a day, on and off.’ Came a far away voice, ‘We notified you immediately but we couldn’t find you.’
‘I’ve been pre-occupied.’ Came his dry reply, then he looked down at her.
And she stared up at a familiar face but for the life of her she could not recognize him. Fair hair…pretty face…red stuff on his skin…red stuff….word for it…word for it…
Paint?
No.
…blood?
She wasn’t sure.
She was forgetting something important…
He raised his hand, as if to touch her, but his hand hovered above her, almost touching.
‘Why are her pupils so dilated?’
‘It’s the effect of the potions. She’s very confused. I imagine she’s trying to make sense of where she is. But once we get her eating and hydrated she should start to come back to herself.’
She was tired, and none of this made any sense to her. So she closed her eyes, and drifted back into the darkness.

So we are nearing the end. Only a couple more chapters left, I max it at five. I want to hear some reviews! And thank you all for your support and considerable patience as it has been a long hiatus!
