Oh hai!!
Long time no see..... reeeeeallll long time! Ok yeah 3 years might have been a bit of an over the top break....... sowwy *puppy eyes*
I said on the last chapter as well that I'd try not to leave you too long before I gave you another chapter.... I failed :(
So here we are, I'm still alive [just] and I'm hopefully back... maybe.... possibly..... hopefully.
A lot has happened over the last 3 years. No. 1 among those.... I got engaged!!! I got together with someone in my degree class at the end of my first year and we got engaged on a pebbly little beach in the freezing cold in Orkney in 2010 :) So very happy, I found my soulmate, my one in a million.
I also finished my degree and passed with and upper 2:1 [go me!!]
Now me and the significant other are trying to save for our own place to live, but while I try and find another job I'll indulge in some snarry action :)
A massive sorry again for leaving you all so long and I hope you enjoy this VERY long overdue chapter.

“When do you think I should tell dad?”
“When you’re ready. No matter when you tell him he’ll most likely not take it very well. Bear with him though and he’ll come around,” she said.
“Alright, I’ll tell him soon. He’s going to have to used to it, after all, he is going to have him for a son-in-law,” he grinned.
He’d just got back from weakening the bond to find everyone else asleep and his mum alone in the portrait. He’d kept her up to date on his relationship with Severus, but as of yet he hadn’t broached the subject to James, fearing the reaction he’d get.
“Where is he anyway?” he said with a yawn.
“I’m not sure. Go to bed sweetie, you look exhausted.”
“Mmmm… ok. See you tomorrow, I love you,” he said as he crawled into bed.
“I love you too. Goodnight Harry.”
He slept badly that night for some reason, tossing and turning for hours, so that when he woke up at seven he was already in a bad mood.
“Morning,” said Ron when he pulled back the curtains around Harry’s bed.
“Urrgh,”
“Didn’t you sleep well?”
“No.”
“Oh. Well you gotta get up anyway, you’ve got that thing to do,” Ron said a little too brightly, earning him a well aimed pillow to the face.
Finally dragging himself out of bed ten minutes later, he hauled himself to the showers and turned one on, stepping reluctantly into the freezing spray to try and wake himself up. Washing his hair quickly he jumped out of the shower and towel dried himself vigorously to warm up. With a yawn he got dressed and waited for everyone else to leave. Once the room has finally cleared he changed into a fly and headed out of the window. As he flew down to the main doors he was buffeted by the strong winds, so mid flight he changed to a small brown owl and carried on, eventually entering the castle through the huge front doors, swooping over people’s heads on his way to the dungeons.
He still remembered where the Slytherin dorms were after the time he and Ron had infiltrated the snakes nest in his second year. There was still the odd Slytherin student exiting from behind the portrait so that when one of them saw him approaching, she held the door open for him to fly inside. It was only when he got inside though that he realised that he didn’t know where Draco’s dorm was, but almost as soon as he thought that he saw Blaise disappearing into a room down a corridor to his right. Remembering that he shared a room with Draco he took off after him, only to reach the door just as it closed.
With no one else in the common room he dropped to the floor and changed into a small beetle and crept under the door, only to witness something wholly unexpected. There stood Blaise, Draco tightly ensconced within his arms, a soothing hand rubbing up and down the blondes back. It was obvious that Draco had been crying for some reason, his eyes red and puffy, tear tracks still visible on his cheeks. He hadn’t got dressed yet either, a pair of black silk pyjama pants the only thing he had on.
“It’ll be ok Draco, I promise,” Blaise murmured.
Worried about his new friend and knowing just what he’d been through, Harry immediately changed back into himself without a second thought. His sudden appearance from seemingly nowhere caused Blaise to yelp and tear himself away from Draco, his wand ready in his hand.
“Draco,” he said quietly, laying a gentle hand on his shoulder.
“Harry,” he sobbed, turning to bury his face in the Gryffindor’s robes.
“Are you ok?” he asked, wrapping his arms around him.
“I had a nightmare.”
“Oh hell. Come on Draco, it’ll be ok,” he said, leading him to the bed, while he simultaneously rummaged about in his pocket for a tissue.
“Get away from him,” came a growl.
Looking up he saw Blaise, his wand trained on Harry’s head, a flurry of emotions on the brunettes face.
“I take it you haven’t told him?”
“No. I was going to explain everything this morning,” Draco said, wiping his eyes with the tissue that Harry had finally extracted from his pocket.
“Does he know about the summer or Halloween?” he asked quietly.
“No, he just knows that I don’t want to do this anymore.”
“Ok. Come on then, you better explain everything before he casts something really nasty on me.”
“You can lower your wand Blaise, Harry is the person I’ve been talking about,” Draco said.
“Wait. This is who you’ve been going to see?!”
“Yes. He helped find the new dorm for us.”
“Well actually Dumbledore found it, I just spoke to him. Not wanting to rush anyone, but we need to get everything packed up and moved before anyone comes back.”
“This is really weird,” said Blaise.
“Welcome to my world,” grinned Harry.
“I’m going to get washed and dressed, so please try not to kill each other while I’m gone,” said Draco, picking up some clothes and heading out the door.
When he’d gone, Harry and Blaise just stood looking at each other. Finally Harry broke the silence.
“I wouldn’t hurt him you know. We’re more alike than I think either of us ever realised. He’s my friend.”
“Well I don’t trust you, but if Draco is your friend then I’m willing to give you a chance, for his sake. Hurt him though and I will personally kill you.”
“I think that’s fair enough,” he said, offering his hand which Blaise warily shook.
Five minutes later and Draco returned to find both of them unscathed and packing things. Finally everything had been collected together, packed, shrunk and stored in pockets. After fetching the other three Slytherins and going through the whole explanation of why Harry was there again, they headed down to the Great Hall for breakfast, having decided to put their things in the new Slytherin dorm after.
“You can come and eat at the Gryffindor table if you want. They’ll be shocked but I promise no one will hurt you,” Harry said to the others.
Pansy and the two sixth years seemed to have accepted him readily enough after initial explanations were offered, so that it was only Blaise who still regarded him with a wary eye.
“I will, thank you,” said Pansy, murmurs of agreement coming from the others.
They hung back a little as he entered the hall, so that when everyone looked up and a wave of silence rippled over the room, he knew it was because of him. It only got worse when Draco appeared at his side. Walking in he went to sit next to Ron and Hermione, mentally preparing himself for the worst as Draco and the others sat down next to him. The minute he saw some of the older years reaching for their wands he fixed them with and icy cold stare, a crackle of magic sparking in the air.
“Don’t even think about it,” he growled menacingly.
“We don’t want your sort at our table,” said one boy he only vaguely recognised from the common room.
“You’ll treat them with the respect they deserve,” Harry said.
“I wasn’t talking to them pillow biter,” said the boy.
“What did you say?” he said in a deadly quite voice, the crackle of magic suddenly amplified.
“Harry, calm down, please,” Hermione said.
“What’s he on about?”
“This,” she said, pushing the paper towards him.
There on the front page was a large photo of himself, along with the title, ”The Boy Who Lived to be Queer.” Following that was a full story on how sources had heard that the famous Harry Potter was indeed gay and currently engaged. Every sordid little detail was there, the only thing missing being the name of his mysterious lover. As his anger grew a glass shattered, quickly followed by another, until Draco shook him and whispered hurriedly in his ear.
“Harry you have to stop or Severus is going to do something stupid and expose himself. Now pull yourself together.”
“Is that why you left us you fag? For your Gryffindor bitch?” came a shout form the Slytherin table.
“Traitor,” came another, closely followed by a curse that Harry sensed as soon as it had been cast.
Almost as soon as he felt it he slammed out a hand and erected a shield around himself and Draco, the curse shattering harmlessly against it.
“Are you ok?” he asked the blonde, only just keeping a reign on his anger and his magic.
“Yeah.”
“Good, come on, I can’t be dealing with this,” he said, getting up to leave.
“That’s right, leave. We don’t want you here,” said the Gryffindor boy.
It was then that he realised that neither Dean nor Seamus had so much as looked at him since he’d arrived.
“I suppose you feel the same way, don’t you?” he said to them.
“Harry…” Hermione started.
“Don’t. I’m moving out of the dorm,” he bit out, his anger building again.
”Harry,” came a calm voice in his mind.
”Deal with this Sev, before I do,” he growled, stalking from the room, glasses rattling in his wake.
