Back Again

Quickly hustling out of the platform of the station we looked for a taxi but there were none to be found.
“Just our luck” Sirius sighed
“Don’t worry too much there is a café at the end of the station we can go in and ask for help or at least get a drink”
Silently agreeing on this course of action we entered the café making sure the door was shut properly as we didn’t want the cold coming in.

I walked o tho the lady behind the counter. She was a middle aged woman with short brown hair that was going on grey. With way too much make up on.
“Excuse me, but do you know where we can get a taxi from?” I asked politely.
“The telephone over there pet, there is some cards there but I doubt anyone will be coming until the snow eases up”
“Thanks”

Turning to see Sirius had taken a seat at the table I decided to sit down for a bit.
“I’m going to wait a bit for the snow to ease before calling”
“Good idea”

“Sirius are you ok?”
“Yeah, just want to get home as soon as we can really”

We sat together looking out of the window for about 40 minutes before the snow started to off off. At this point I got up and went to the telephone and called a cab.
“Yes can I get a cab from Berwick-upon-Tweed station to go to Hogsgate Please?”
“Sure pet, we’ll have a cab there as soon as we c “Th “Thanks” Hanging up the receiver.

Sitting back next to Sirius I pulled my chair up closer to him for some warmth.
“Well the cab is ordered, it’s a waiting game again”
“that’s ok least we know someone is coming” he said as if trying to comfort me as well as himself as he put his arm around me and pulled me in closer. I could feel his head lower to mine and his forehead rest against the side of my head.
Looking at him he looked so peaceful. I closed my eyes for a second to savour the moment. Then there was a beep from a car outside.
Sirius pulled away and walked to the door opening it enough to only stick his head out.
“That’s us Angel” he said as he came back to pick up the bags, I stood up and followed him out to the taxi, getting inside as quickly as possible.

We sat quietly looking out the window at the white countryside that passed us by; amazed that the driver could see or knew where he was going in all of this.
After what seemed ages but in reality was only 40 minutes the taxi came off the small country road we had been on into Hogsgate which was the next townHogsHogsmeade. Close enough for us to walk to the school but far enough not to be noticed by many. After all we didn’t know who death eaters were and who were not so it was best to only be in contact with those that we knew were not death eaters for sure.

Getting out of the taxi was a struggle, the wind had picked up and made it very hard to open the door. So I handed the driver the money to save him getting out the car and quickly followed Sirius out his door rather than attempt to open my door, slamming it shut after me.

The taxi pulled away quickly leaving us in the middle of the village.
I pulled out a pair of gloves and scarf from my bag putting them on quickly.
“Sirius, you going to be warm enough?”
“I’ll be fine, don’t worry”

“OK then, we should get moving quickly” I said.
He nodded in agreement.
“This way” pointing towards an abandoned church in the distance where I knew the country path normally lies that we needed to take through a forest.
We started walking as fast as we could possibly go with the wind blowing.

As we got to the church I felt the wind die down a little which I was relieved of because I was freezing and I dreaded to think how Sirius was feeling ok he had a top, trousers and a jacket on but the jacket was a light jacket. But then I thought he spent 12 years in Azkaban then two years living on the street basically so he was more used to it.

He slowed down his pace and turned to look at me.
“Are you ok Angel?” sounding concerned.
“I’m fine just a little, cold”
Smiling he let me catch up with him.

“Ok Sirius we need to head towards the forest but thought we should take it I think we should avoid walking through as it’s getting dark probably best to walk around the side. It shouldn’t take us that much longer. And will bring us up to Hogsmeade”.
He looked at me concerned about taking the longer route but wasn’t going to argue instead started to walk again and I followed quickly behind him.

We walked in silence past the forest. The snow started again, well more like a blizzard. I walked one step behind him to protect myself a little from the force of the weather. We wanted to keep moving as fast as possible so we didn’t talk but I didn’t know how long I could keep at this pace the cold was getting to me really badly. I was shivering all over and felt frozen. I felt my legs feeling like lead and had trouble moving them. Then I stopped dead in my tracks I couldn’t, I couldn’t move my legs. Sirius was a few steps ahead of me but was getting harder to see him.
“SIRIUS, I CAN’T MOVE”

Everything was spinning, and then everythwentwent black.

I stirred, waking up. I felt like I had the worse hang over in the world. Except I knew I didn’t have a hang over. Last thing I remember was trying to get to Hogsmeade. I looked to my right I was in some abandoned house.
I realised that my left hand was warmer than my right, someone was holding it. Sirius.

“You’re awake, good. You gave me quite a scare” I could tell he was very concerned.
Trying to speak hurt I managed to get out a husky whisper “I didn’t mean to I was just so tired”.
Sighing, “Its ok don’t try to speak too much just rest. We’re in an abandoned house in the outskirts of Hogsmeade. I am sure Dumbledore will be concerned where we are but I rather not move you just yet. Rest for a little longer and we’ll continue back up to the school”


I tried to smile weakly but it more turned out like a frown.
“Angel, I am going to see what it is like outside I will be back soon. Just rest while I am gone ok?”
I nodded slightly and closed my eyes. I felt him squeeze my hand tighter and then him kiss the back of my hand gently.
I heard him get up out and leave the room his footsteps got quieter. All I could hear was the sound of the wind pounding on the side of the house which was rattling the windows. Shivering I held my eyes shut even tighter.

I am not sure how long I lay there for but I heard footsteps coming back to the room. I opened my eyes and reached for my wand in my bag next to me.
“Angelina, it’s only me” I heard Sirius call, so I sat back against the wall.
I saw him come in and take his coat off.
“No luck, I think its best we stay here tonight I doubt we’ll get to the castle in the blizzard out there”

I smiled at him “that’s ok I doubt I would be able to walk it. I think we both need to have some rest.”
“Agreed, I’m going to search the rest of the house to see if there is anything we could use to keep warm. From what I have seen it looks like the people who livere lre left in a hurry.”
“Do you want any help?”
“No sweetie, you stay here” he said and planted a kiss on my forehead and smiled and left the room.

After several minutes I picked up my wand and slowly walked to the door and was about to make my way downstairs when Sirius came up.
“I thought I told you to stay”
“Well you know me for breaking rules, it’s that bad influence you have over me Sirius”.

“Hmm any other influences I have over you” he said smirking.
Shaking my head I turned and headed back into the room from which I came.

“I would suggest making a fire but I think it would draw attention to the house. Ana are you going to be warm enough?”
“I’ll be fine but I will put on some mlayelayers of clothes”

“Good idea” he said.
“I’ll be fine honest” I said looking up at him I gently touched his hand and he smiled at me.

“Ok lets get a bed made in the corner for us as it’s best to sleep together to keep warm”
Smiling back at him we got some more clothes out of our bags once I had what I wanted.
“Are you going to turn around while a lady changes?”

Smirking he slowly turned around to his back was towards me and I saw him starting to change into warmer clothes quickly as he did so. I turned around and started to change into some warmer clothes also. When I turned around I saw them there just watching me, smiling.
We put out clothes back in the bag and sat in the corner of the room and covered ourselves in the blankets we had found.

“Are you warm enough?”
“I’m fine, why do you keep asking”
“I am concerned, I care about you. I don’t want anything bad happening to you. I wouldn’t be able to live with myself if anything did happen”

Smiling I snuggled in placing my head upon his chest. Listening to his heart beat.
“I’ll survive, as long as you’re with me”

We lay there in silence listening to the wind outside. Watching the room get darker and darker until the room was almost black. Sirius taking my hand in his he kissed it.
“Angel?”
“Yeah?” I said moving my head to look at him.

He took his hand out of mine, and used it to my fmy face in both of his hands and he moved forward and kissed me on the lips. It wasn’t a friendly peck but a deep meaningful kiss. I responded straight away and was lost in this kiss. I had waited so long for this. I wrapped my arms around his neck moving in closer. The kiss becoming deeper as he used his tongue to pry into my mouth my tongue responding to his in need wanting him so much.

Slowly he pulled away smiling “I’ve wanted to do that for a very long time”.
“So have I, but I bet mine was a longer wait”

Kissing me on the forehead he replied “Come we need to rest”.
I rested my head back on his chest again with my hand in his and lay there watching the room go black. Then I drifted off to sleep.
