After nearly half an hour of sobbing, Sirius slowly lifted his head and looked into his boyfriend's teary eyes.
"Why are you crying?" Sirius asked softly.
"Because I hate to see you so upset," James replied. "I love you, Sirius. You mean the world to me. I don't want you to be unhappy, and I'm sorry that I caused you to run off and-"
Sirius put a finger against James' lips. "It's not you, James. You have no idea how happy you make me, and I love you so fucking much. It's just that there's something I should have told you a long time ago, but I was always afraid of your reaction."
James worriedly studied his best friend. He tenderly played with Sirius' hair for several moments before speaking. "Siri, please tell me what's going on. I promise I won't be upset or angry with you. I only want to help you."
Sirius numbly nodded his head. He withdrew from James' arms and put his face in his s. &s. James watched his boyfriend nervously before finally rubbing Sirius' back.
"It's my father," Sirius whispered.
James closed his eyes and bit his lip. He despised Sirius' family, and he hated to think of what else they had done to make Sirius' life miserable.
"What did he do?" James asked quietly as he continued rubbing Sirius' back.
Sirius kept his face hidden by his hands as he spoke. "Ever since I was ten, he's been raping me."
James' hand stopped moving on Sirius' back, and his eyes looked ready to kill. "What?" James asked through gritted teeth.
Sirius lifted his head to reveal fresh tears streaming out of his normally bright eyes. "I'm sorry, James. I shouldn't have told you. I knew you'd be angry with me and-"
James took a deep breath. "No, Sirius. I'm not mad at you. Not at all. I hate your father more than you could possibly imagine for putting you through this. I promise you, I am not angry with you! p;I'p;I'm mad at him!" James exclaimed with his fists clenched.
Sirius flinched slightly and looked down at the floor.
James mentally cursed himself for yelling and tried desperately to calm down. Screaming out in anger was definitely not going to help Sirius to feel better.
"I'm sorry, Siri," James whispered. "I'm so mad at your father that I can't even think straight. I promise I'm not upset with you. I could never be upset with you, Siri! You didn't do anything wrong at all. I just wish…"
"What?" Sirius asked sadly.
"I wish you had told me sooner."
"I'm sorry," Sirius mumbled. "I know I should have, but I didn't want you to know how weak I am."
James grabbed Sirius' arms. He quickly loosened his grasp upon seeing the pained look on his boyfriend's tired face. "You're not weak, Sirius."
Sirius tried to reply, but ended up crying again. James wrapped his arms tightly around his best friend and eventually, Sirius fell asleep.

In the middle of the night, Sirius awoke. He smiled when he realized that James' arms were still tightly wrapped around his body. Sirius pressed a small kiss on James' forehead and cuddled up even closer to his boyfriend.
James yawned and opened his eyes. "Siri?"
"Yes?"
"Are you okay?" James asked quietly.
Sirius picked up his wand and muttered a silencing spell. "Yes," he replied.
James looked at his boyfriend skeptically.
Sirius sighed. "I'm better than I was before. Look, James, I want you to understand that I love you. I want to be with you…I want you to make love to me, but I…I guess I'm just not ready. All I could think about yesterday was him and…I'm sorry."
"You have no reason to apologize," James replied. "I promise I won't do anything untiu'reu're ready."
"Thank you," Sirius said in a hushed voice.
"You're welcome," James replied. He tightened his grip on his boyfriend and played with Sirius' hair until the troubled man finally fell asleep again.
Meanwhile, James stayed awake, debating over what to do…

What should James do?

A) Tell Dumbledore about Sirius' father.
B) Tell McGonagall about Sirius' father.
C) Insist that Sirius tell McGonagall.
D) Insist that Sirius tell Dumbledore.
E) Go find Sirius' father and fight him.
F) Force Sirius to go see Madam Pomfrey.
