A/n: As I am very impatient when reading fanfics
and the authors don’t post for two days I will try to post this fic as quickly as possible.
Even though I also want to drag it out but I think my deadline is July
31st because I have to take care of these peoples kids even though
they’re 17 and 16 and I’m not much older then them hey I’m getting paid so how
can I argue anyway I want to post this all by then so that I don’t have to
worry about it when I am there. So I don’t
know what that means but considering that this is 77 pages (Which is not much
mind you) and this is only the 20th page and the what fifth-sixth
chapter so that’s about 4 pages a chapter give or take so that means absolutely
nothing to you but that I will post all the chapters rather quickly read at
your own pace though.
As the first snows began and the approach of midterms, Colin
was studying more then ever; his studying caused for a lack of Harry although
Harry was always on his mind. He was
forced to avoid him for a bunch of homework.
Ron and Hermione were no longer mad at Harry but they still were not
talking to him.
“Hey Potter, where are you mates?” Draco’s
voice hit Colin’s ears like lead.
“Shut up, Malfoy,” Harry growled
Colin quickened his pace to see what was going on. Around the corner Harry stood wand ready
facing off to Malfoy, Cabble,
and Goyle.
Colin watched carefully from his distance.
“So they wised up and ditched you?” Malfoy
taunted.
“Maybe I wised up and got rid of them?” Harry was losing this battle. He just did not have the wit not to mention
that he was not eating or sleeping regularly, but he was still strong, brave
and self…
Harry flew across the room and was impelled on the sword of
a statue of a knight. The blade went clear
though him in such away that Harry had yet to bleed.
“Ahh!” He groaned trying to keep his weight off the
sword so it would not cut more of him.
Harry was literally dangling a few feet off the ground the sword held
him up. He was a human shish cabob.
Draco’s eye widened as Vincent and
Gregory fell over in laughter. Colin ran head long into Draco Malfoy. Colin was
hitting, kicking, biting, strangling, while Draco was desperately trying to get
away. Harry moaned as blood began to
trickle out of him, “Get ‘em off of me!” Draco ordered Crabbe
and Goyle his whining and yelling drew the crowd.
Everyone gawked at Potter as he tried to keep his weight off
the sword he did not want a gash running from his abdomen to his ribs.
“Harry!” Hermione squealed she and Ron pushed forward to
Harry.
“Urrgh,” Harry cried out causing
the crowd to back up, “‘moine.”
“It’s ok Harry, I’m here,” Hermione patted his foot.
“Someone, go get a teacher,” Ron snapped everyone glanced
around no one wanted to miss this, “NOW!” a few students fled in opposite
directions.
“Get ‘em off me!” Draco yelled as Crabble and Goyle tugged at Colin
who was not letting go anytime soon.
“Colin,” Hermione scolded, “Ron, do something.”
“What Malfoy deserves it,” Ron
whinnied.
“No, stupid they’re going to rip him apart,” Hermione said
as Vincent had one leg and Gregory had another and they were pulling in
opposite directions while Colin’s hands gripped Draco’s
throat. Harry cried out as he slipped a
bit more on the sword. He was sure that
his organs were enjoying being successfully dissected.
McGonagall was the first to arrive walking very briskly Snape came quickly from the opposite direction they pried
Colin away from Draco.
“He’s mad!” Draco
cried, “Hope you like St. Mungo’s.”
“I’m disappointed in you Mr. Creevey,” McGonagall started,
“Why…”
“Look what he did to Harry,” Colin pointed a finger to his
struggling beloved. “I’ll kill him,”
Colin breathed, “I’ll kill the nasty ferret.”
Draco hid behind his head of house. Snape and
McGonagall stared at Harry’s position.
Filch arrived with Mrs. Norris standing at Harry’s feet looking up he
said, “I know you’re a trouble maker Potter but you really should have given me
this pleasure.”
Harry’s hiss was as good as his response got. Colin bit Filch in the arm. Filch had about as much trouble getting Colin
to let go as Draco did, until Filch pulled back and cracked his hand against
Colin’s head.
“Filch,” McGonagall warned as Ron held Colin back.
“How should we go about this,” Snape
addressed Harry’s situation.
“Sliding him off might cause more danger not to mention that
it would hurt,” McGonagall said trying to shoo the crowd back.
“Please,” Harry groaned, “Help me.”
“Oh, yes, yes, yes,” Pompey scurried up, “This will be hard
to repair organs don’t grow back easily.
It will hurt terribly.”
“I think it already does,” Ron argued.
“All right students back to your common rooms,” Snape ordered most the student reluctantly retreated, “That
includes yourself Mr. Weasley.
“Colin will not let me,” Ron said tugging at his arm that
Colin was clinging to.
“Creevey,” Snape ordered.
Colin backed off his eyes clearly on Harry. Colin had to help he was a wizard after all
and Harry needed him. Colin pointed his wand at the statue saying the first
thing that came to him. “Evanesco.” Ron gasped as the statue vanished Harry dropped the three
feet to the ground.
“Mr. Creevey,” Snape snarled,
“Leave instantly.”
Madame Pompfrey went to check on
Harry Professor McGonagall was already helping her. Filch was looking for the statue.
Ron and Hermione pulled Colin away, “What happened, Colin?”
“Hl>“Harry and Malfoy were fighting
and Malfoy didn’t really mean it. I mean he meant to throw him back a few feet
the sword it just got in the way.” Colin shook his head.
“We should have been there Hermione,” Ron accused, “You said
he would come around.”
“I am sorry Ron, I could not of known,” Hermione said
softly, “WhE>Wh-what were they fighting about.”
“Harry’s friends wising ud did ditching him,” Colin sternly
replied. He could not be mad at Harry’s
friends he could not even really be mad at Draco.
“Oh Ron,” Hermione said guilt a tear slipping from her eye.
“I know ‘mione, I know,” Ron’s
voice caught, “It wasn’t our fault that we thought setting Harry up would ch
him
him up. I was just so set on having
Harry in the family.”
“You’d think out of all your
brother’s one of them would at least be bi,” Hermione responded.
Colin ignored them they did have Harry’s interest at heart
even though they knew absolutely nothing about him. Colin was not the only one who could not
sleep with Harry suffering in the hospital wing. So he joined the group in the common room.
“I cannot believe you bit Filch,” Dean said excitedly.
“I cannot believe Ginny
is making out with Seamus right in front of me,” Ron hollered.
Colin glanced upm him his charms book, “Do you think he’s
having a nightmare?”
“She said it was
painful must keep him up,” Hermione answered.
“Not if he took a
sleeping draught,” Colin mumbled.
“So do you know anyone we can set Harry up with?” Ron asked,
“He really needs someone now.”
Dean shrugged,
“Not Draco now.”
“We want someone
to help Harry,” Hermione explained, “Not a hassle.”
Colin gritted his teeth Harry should tell them about
him. He understood why he did not. Harry had said that he needed him but because
of you-know-who he could not have him.
But Colin really felt it was unfair that he had to listen to this. Maybe he was not helping Harry enough if Ron
and Hermione did not notice that Harry was any better. How could Colin heal
Harry from a distance?
Eventually, Colin was more at ease when he, Ron, Hermione,
Ginny the rest of his dormmates and some just plain
curious people went to see him. Colin
was furious there were people hovering and he was not let in. They let Hermione and Ron in but did they let
Coin in, of course not.
“Harry,” Hermione caressed his cheek.
“‘mione,”
Harry said so that it was obvious that he was in pain still, “I’m so sorry.”
“No Harry we’re so sorry,” Ron said Harry forced a bit of a
smile.
“Does it really hurt?” Dean asked pushing someone out of the
way to get a better view.
“Uh yes,” Harry moaned, “My liver is growing back.”
“Harry,” Dennis pushed though and snapped a picture of
Harry, “You don’t look as bad as Draco.”
Harry was having a difficult time trying not to yell at Dennis for
acting too much liis Cis Colin.
“Oh yeah,” Neville said, “that Colin really wanted to kill
him.”
“Merlin, the kid is crazy!” Lavender said.
“I’m standing right here,” Colin hissed that got a few
people to shift giving him room to squeeze in this pleased Colin.
“So when are they sending you to St. Mungo’s?”
Seamus asked Colin pouted.
“Ah leave him alone,” Ron said promptly, “I would have done
the same thing.”
Harry whispered something to Hermione that Colin understood
as ‘can you make them leave,’ as he could read Harry’s lips.
“All right let’s go people Harry needs to get some rest,”
Hermione ushered Ron took the cue and helped her. Colin glanced at Harry as Ron
began to argue with Seamus.
“You too Colin,” Hermione said Colin nodded looking towards
the door he was about to leave when Harry caught him. The look in Harry’s eyes told Colin that
Harry did not want to be completely alone.
