You Aren't Always Forgiven

Disclaimer: The characters held within (save Leah) are not mine. They belong to the lovely JK Rowling (who isn\'t the devil, she\'s brilliant!!) and I am not making a profit, nor is any kind of copyright infringement intended.

A/N:I\'ve had to break this chapter into two smaller chapters, but you will have lemons, promise!! I know it get\'s a bit more serious here, but it\'ll get fun again, promise!! And, for my lovely reviewers:

Papaya: The rose imagery just kind of came to me. It practially wrote itself!! And Lucius! LMAO! I just think he\'s to pretty to be hung down to his knees. Thanks for the compiment on the fight. At first, I wasn\'t too sure I liked it, but after reading it, it kind of grew on me. =) And dear Remus, ever then gentleman, eh? There will definately be lots and lots of fun with Remus. *winks* You can count on that. As a matter of fact, it\'s just about the whole second part of this chapter!

JJ: I\'m so gald my readers found the altercation believable! *wipes forehead* Writing it, I wasn\'t sure I could get away with it. LOL!

antipyro: Many thanks!! *grins* Actually, I wouldn\'t say there\'s a whole lot of me in Leah, except for her foul mouth (LOL), her loyalty to those she loves and trusts, and of course, her ability to turn things around on people. I\'m glad I\'ve got some of my slash fans reading!! Personally, I\'m a slasher chick myself. *winks* And if I tell you how or if she gets back, it\'ll totally ruin the surprise ending!! :P

dido: Check it out, a quasi-flame!! LOL! j/k Actually, Leah is a bit selfish. She was given a choice of humiliation or blow Severus\' cover. She has read the books, so she does know Lucius is bad news. She\'s not really clinical about sex, but she wants what she wants, and if she doesn\'t want it, she won\'t do it. In the case with Lucius, as I said before, she was humiliated. That lead to her getting angry, and she had a bit of a freak out. You must remember, the men still don\'t know that much about her. Like I\'ve been telling my readers all along, Leah\'s a heifer. If she doesnt\' get what she wants, she gets mad. I want to ask you a question now. Would you have called her a mary sue had she just sat there and not been upset or humiliated?

eve/roarke: She does believe that she\'ll go back home the same way she got there, but who says she won\'t be part of that delicious sandwich anyway? *winks*

john the heavy: Yes, in the balls. She couldn\'t hit him in the nose with her arms pinned beside her, could she? I prayed that I wouldn\'t get flamed by any of the men who read this story because of what she did, but she is going to get what\'s coming to her, don\'t worry!!

Alauralen: LOL! Thanks!

catpower: Not a bad start to the day, is it? LOL! Her day gets worse, then it gets better. HOORAY FOR LEMONS!!! If you\'ve ever had pancakes and maple syrup with bacon, you\'ll get that. It\'s actually very, very tasty!! =D

Branwen: Thanks!!!

ON WITH THE STORY!!!

She rolled her eyes. “What are you going to do, Obvliate me? Maybe draw the memory out and put it in a penseive? Or, do you have another method of erasing visions?”

He smirked at her questions. “Actually, I can do any of the three, but first…”

Snape hopped up from the bed and swaggered over to her side. Leah pursed her lips and narrowed her eyes. “You truly are the consummate bastard Severus Snape.”

He leaned in and whispered, “Every wizard over the age of twelve knows the charm I used. Witches and muggles aren’t much different when it comes to defending themselves at all costs. Now, we should repair your feet. If you are caught shuffling about the castle, questions will be asked.”

With that, Severus raised his wand and whispered, “Resarcio pollex.”

Leah steeled herself for searing pain to shoot through her feet, but none came. She opened her eyes and let out the breath she was holding. The young woman looked expectantly at Snape, “That’s it?”

He smirked. “You were expecting more?”

With a blush she answered, “No, I just expected it to hurt more.”

She wiggled her toes and grinned. “So, does this mean all’s forgiven?”

“Hardly,” he said as he crawled on the bed and straddled her lap.

He was on all fours with his nose almost touching hers. “I just wanted you to be at full health when I exacted my…revenge.” He said the last word as though it was a commodity as precious as gold.

Leah’s smile faded as he spoke and she couldn’t help the rise in her heartbeat or the wave of panic that threatened to come crashing down throughout her body. His face was passive, as usual, but there was a malicious glint in his dark eyes. She tried to maintain eye contact, but it was impossible.

He grabbed her chin and forced her to look at him. “You really didn’t think I’d let you get away with doing what you did, did you? Besides, I promised Lupin that I’d let you have your say before I did anything. Have you said everything you intended to?”

The young woman did her best to call his bluff as she tried her best to allow only anger to show through in her features. “Do what you must,” she ground out through clenched teeth.

He laughed a hollow laugh and replied in an almost cheerful (well, at least cheerful for Severus Snape) way, “Oh, I will, I can assure you, but it will be when you least expect it. Were I you, I think I’d watch myself.”

With the threat hanging in the air, he abruptly got off of the bed and strode into the bathroom to ready himself for the day. Leah watched him go, stunned. She didn’t know what to make of his threat, but somewhere deep down, it scared her. She got up and left his chambers, walking through the castle barefoot.

Her wandering carried her to the large front doors. She opened them and walked out into the early morning. There was something extremely dangerous about Severus, but that only turned her on more. She liked dangerous men. Leah sat in the courtyard she’d found for several hours. Remus and Albus found her some time before lunch just staring out into space. “Leah my dear,” Albus cheerily greeted the young woman. “You’ll be glad to know that the house elves have finished your rooms. Everything that you need is already in there, including muggle clothing and robes. Shall we take you to them now?”

Leah smiled at Albus, but it didn’t reach her eyes. Remus frowned. “I’d appreciate that Albus.”

She got up and walked between the two men toward her new chambers. “You rooms aren’t very far from Remus’, so if you have any problems, I’m sure he will be able to help you.”

The young woman noticed the disgusting twinkle in the old wizard’s eyes and really wanted to tell him to stop meddling, but instead opted to stay polite, “Albus, you can’t imagine what your hospitality means to me. I mean, Hagrid found me knocked out and I was extremely rude when I woke up, but still you’ve done everything to make me feel comfortable. You’ve given me free run of the castle, and you let me work in the greenhouses. If everyone in the world were like you and your colleagues, we’d truly live in Utopia.”

Remus was standing behind the Headmaster and to his left, but Leah could still see him mime a gag as they stood in front of a portrait of a young woman dressed in Victorian era garb. Albus put his hand on her shoulder. “I am a firm believer in helping those in need my dear. There’s really no thanks needed. Here is the door to your chambers. I believe your password is ‘Friendship’.”

When he said the word, the portrait opened and immediately, the hearth in the room burst into flame along with several hundred candles. They stepped in and Leah was awed and humbled by her surroundings. The trio was standing in a small foyer paneled with what looked to be birch and an oak hardwood floor. She was led into the sitting room which was furnished with a royal blue velour couch and two matching wing back chairs on either side of a cherry wood coffee table. There was a Persian rug, about eight feet across, that had intricate design work in all shades of blue in front of the hearth. Next she was led into her bedroom. In the middle stood a king size four poster with the same blue colored hangings and a pile of pillows that would make anyone jealous. She looked around and gasped at the ancient vanity. It had to be at least one hundred and fifty years old, but it was in pristine condition. She ran her hand across the intricate carvings decorating the mirror frame. “Were these carved by hand?”

Albus shook his head. “They were. I simply love the wood pieces here in the castle. No two are alike.” He grinned at the young woman and the werewolf. “I do believe that I have some paperwork to finish for the ministry before lunch. Take your time looking through everything and getting acquainted with your rooms, and I will see you and Remus at lunch.”

The old man swept out of the room and left the two standing in her bedroom. Remus broke the silence and asked, “So, everything didn’t go well with Severus this morning? I see your toes are no longer broken.”

Leah looked at him and shook her head. “No, things didn’t go very well. I explained why I had the reaction I did, and then I apologized and thanked him for saving my life. We ate breakfast, he fixed my feet, and then he threatened me.”

“He’s just trying to scare you. You’re the first person in a long time that hasn’t been afraid of him.”

With a shake of her head, she answered, “No, I think he meant it. I could see it in his eyes when he told me I should watch myself. It’s just like I told him, though, I can take care of myself. Did you know he healed himself before I came in?”

Remus chuckled. “Every wizard older than twelve knows the healing charm for getting kicked in the bits. I’m honestly surprised that he didn’t use it immediately and come after you.”

“I’m glad he didn’t. I could see the scene we would have made.”

Leah sat on her bed and looked at Remus. He just shook his head and sat down beside her. She put her head on his shoulder and sighed. “Well, at least if he kidnaps me and leaves me in the Forbidden Forest maybe you’ll be close enough to hear me screaming when he takes me from here.”

He leaned his head on hers. “Don’t count on it. We wizards are fond of silencing charms.”

Leah groaned and threw herself back on the bed. “It sounds like I’m going to have to beat him at his own game. Ah well, if I were him, I’d still be pretty pissed at me too. I’ll give him a few days to cool off and go from there. I wonder what kinds of stuff Albus had the house elves stock in my wardrobe.”

The young woman got up and opened the large walnut wardrobe to find the left hand side of it held all manner of muggle clothes, similar to what she was used to wearing and the right hand side held an array of robes for all occasions. “Wow!” She whispered.

“This place is absolutely amazing! If I never get home, I’ll never have a boring day. I love this castle,” she smiled at the werewolf. “It’s almost time for lunch, isn’t it? Let’s go to the Great Hall.”

She pulled him off of the bed and looped her arm in his. As they walked through the sitting room, she stopped and gaped at the far wall. “Books!” She exclaimed, forgetting about Remus.

Her attention was caught by a book shelf that ran from the floor to the ceiling and it was filled to bursting with books of all shapes, sizes, and ages. Leah gasped and pulled out an ancient tome, opening it. “It’s an original printing of Grimm’s Fairy Tales! It’s almost 200 years old! The first printing was in 1812. Oh my!”

She gently put the book back and perused the other tomes. There were books on magical theory, astronomy and astrology, but most of them were muggle classics and even some contemporary authors. “Remus, I think I’m in love!”

The werewolf shook his head with a chuckle. “Let’s go to lunch. You’ve got all the time in the world to discover which books Dumbledore stocked in here.”

With a giggle Leah grabbed Remus’ arm and they set off toward the Great Hall. Lunch was uneventful, except for the evil glances Severus kept giving Leah. For the most part, she ignored him, or appeared to. She spent the afternoon in the greenhouses helping Professor Sprout and ended up taking a few herbs back to her rooms to do some things with. At dinner, she again sat between Remus and Albus, having a quiet conversation with both. Afterward, she met Remus in the hallway. She looped her arm in his as they walked toward their respective chambers.
