The woman under the sheets of her bed smiled in constant bliss, a combination of the pleasure she had just received and her body's natural reaction to what just happened. Both answers, tired. She was asleep, finding it possible to escape the realm of the living without nightmares for a single night out of the year. She felt the weight, subconsciously, of her husband beside her, and couldn't help but the happy but confused look that crossed her face.
It had all been so simple, all starting when she woke that morning.
She woke up, as always, at four o'clock on the dot, her dreams and nightmares becoming too much for her. She smiled as the day, the light that pressed all of her dark thoughts away washing over her as she stretched all her poor, overused muscles back into alignment. She should have realized, then, that something was wrong. If it weren't for the bells, then the snowy white owl should have let her on to something major happening in her world, the Wizarding World.
Opening the letter over a cup of coffee, Tonks decided then and there, would be a great idea. She wanted a nice cup of java, but she didn't have any on her. Resigning herself to that fact, she got up and slit the top of the letter.
What was in that letter, she soon realized, was the very thing that no one wants to realize, her parents had set her up in a marriage contract with him, her crush, Harry Potter.
As she read his words after finding out the extent of their contract, which was meshed to sound like she and Harry were, and had been for a while, an item. In nothing but utter disgust, she agreed to meet him at Grimmauld Place. Of course, she should have realized that the Professor had something to do with the entire thing, because, of course as soon as she saw it, all the pieces fell into place.
Then he arrived, Harry. Her soon to be husband, looking around for her as if his life was almost over. She nearly gave up there, after all, finding out that the one person you could love forever did not love you the same... it was frightening.
When they mounted his broom, the Firebolt, she was extremely jealous. He had a Firebolt, given to him by her cousin, Sirius. Great buffoon the man was; he got himself killed in a moment of utter stupidity.
They talked, she realized, talked of things that she wanted to speak of, her fears. They talked of his fears. He was sweet, she realized then, and did really care. She almost wept right there, but no Aurors don't cry.
They talked of a lot of things in the time it took to get to her mother's house. She had hoped the woman could provide answers to what was ailing her, the headache for instance. When she arrived, though, it all became to plainly obvious. Andromeda, her mother, had arranged her marriage.
'Luckily she got the person right' was what went through her mind at the time, at Harry's look of confusion combined with betrayal at the site of the Headmaster talking to her mother.
That clinched it there for Tonks, who figured they'd enter the marriage hating each other, and thereby hating one another for the rest of their lives. She didn't know what he planned, and when she asked for the headache medicine, truly thought he'd ignore her.
She was mistaken, of course, and thoroughly surprised that he made a headache potion so easily, when fellow member of the Order, Severus Snape, decided that he was useless at potions.
She was honored that he entrusted that secret with her, even though she knew he hated her.
During the flight along Trail 9 and ¾, as she called it, Tonks hoped she would not have to evade most of his questions, as he was to be her husband and Order business was Order business. So, she was surprised when he shared, though she could tell he was only eager in the air, his inner will, his desires and the way he felt in the air.
Figuring it at face value, Tonks just thought he was like that in the air, remembering his self from the last year. She remembered, too, all too vividly opening up to him and revealing she loved flying as much as he did. Then, the surprise. She asked him! She couldn't believe it, talking about flying and their enjoyment, then about the marriage.
"No... Err... actually I didn't even think of you... well, I never thought something like that would actually happen to me, you know?" what an odd statement. Why would someone like Harry, who could easily afford any woman he wanted in the world, think that he was not good enough for marriage? She didn't understand, but did swear to find out what he meant.
'Respect, that's a fine word for letting someone down, Harry.' she thought amusedly as she realized he was still talking to her a second later. Her heart clinched at 'respect', after having hoped the word he'd use was like, or even love. But no, as she felt the wards of Hogsmeade, it was respect
Wanting to tear out her heart, she gasped as she saw her friends, most of her co-workers she dare not get close to, her boss, and reporters like crazy on the grounds of Hogwarts.
'Here goes another chance at press, Harry' she thought, disgruntled that he 'respected' her and not loved.
So, naturally she was surprised when he got back on the broom after using a map she'd only dreamt of in her time at Hogwarts, a map that showed entrances that weren't commonly used.
She was surprised when he picked the Owlery, and not the Astronomy tower, a question that she'd have to get answered.
As he dismounted, the broom stayed afloat, and she sighed as she made to get off. Of course, she thought unhappily, the stupid clumsiness would let out then of all times.
Hoping he'd check the map, as she had no idea where his office was after spending seven years at the school, Tonks was surprised when he led them, like a dog she thought still unhappily even though he did save her life, to the ugly gargoyle.
It opened of its own free will. She glared at it, until the man came up behind them.
He spoke, as they entered the office, and the entire time she saw Harry soak it up. As the man concluded, Harry left muttering something about "the bloody hero". Weird, she thought, but did snap too in time to hear him say something about "the greater good".
She told him not to bother them again, after the marriage. He agreed, and she was happy. Then, the person that 'respected' her told her off. She almost blew her top. She stayed to hear what he had to say, and the bad feelings she'd harbored the entire trip fell.
'HE LIKES ME!' She thought with a large amount of enthusiasm.
Her delight was short lived as he left calling, "Gladrags".
Leaving to get ready, alone apparently, she sighed the entire time, hoping to find something to impress Harry and not just ruin the wedding.
She looked though several shades of red, her hair going for a traditional red head look, when she found the one pair of robes she had that were for special occasions.
Flinging her aurors robes in disgust, Tonks had no idea what to wear to her wedding, while she knew that he was getting him something wonderful.
Then it appeared. A wonderful red and gold crested ring, a solid, round ring that would signify their marriage in the muggle world. It was beautiful, and crafted very well.
At that time, a woman and two associates she knew by name entered the room.
"HILDA!"
Madam Malkin, she noticed with a smirk, said, "Hello Tonks, getting married! You can't get married in that! We'll just have to spend some of your husbands' money to get you set right!"
She froze, use Harry's money? Are they insane? She shook her head, hearing a tittering of chuckles from the others in the room.
"What, I'm not a Potter yet, Hilda. I've only got enough on me to cover the dress, and that's not enough! I need... I need the works but I can't afford it!"
Surprisingly, Madam Malkin's laughed. She looked at Tonks and said, "And who, my dear Metamorphmagus, do you think told us to come here? Not Norman, the man could not catch a woman's eye in those horrid rags he wears, but his line is as great as mine. No, it was Mr. Potter that requested we come here.
That clinched it; Tonks was officially the happiest woman on the face of the planet. She was marrying her crush, who was crushing on her. She was ecstatic, and she knew, instinctively that he was the same.
She gasped as she saw the dress, a wonderful, long, white dress that covered all the bits in the right places, hugged to her curves and just felt... right.
Then the makeup came, she wished that it did not have to end. Manicures, pedicures. She was shaven, a blush rising throughout her entire body at that as Rosella, Madam Malkin's assistant insisted on shaving her in that area.
She was waxed, too, though the feeling of bliss from the shave she had earlier blocked that pain in particular. Her naked body was cleaned, in every region they could think of, as she was washed in a particularly naughty matter, or it would have been if Serena or Rosella were like that. They weren't, she knew that positively as they had dated guys in the Wizarding University before they moved on to better things.
Sometimes, Tonks wondered, whether she should have just taken her degree in spell creation and been done with the Ministry, but after she had graduated, and the aurors began recruitment, she signed up. She had decided to use spell creation as a back-up and, to this date had three new spells to her name.
The problem, of course, was that only she could use them. They were spells for households after all.
Looking around at the faces of the others, she blushed as she realized she had fallen asleep as Madam Malkin's assistants had worked on her.
"Sorry" she said sheepishly. Rosella, her best friend and one of her bridesmaids, looked at her in that pitying way. "So girl, what's up? Why are you marrying him, we all agreed to not try?"
Tonks gulped, remembering their agreement to not go after the boy-who-lived in any way, that if fate threw them together, to just go with the flow.
"Aw, Rosie, I seriously had no idea. It was... arranged by Professor Dumbledore and mum. I have to marry him; it's not something I'm particularly happy about. I mean, if we'd had time to prepare, it may have been different, but we're being married today."
Rosella sighed. "Well my little Nymph, you don't worry. We'll be there to support you. You're all done; let's get you into that dress!"
She smiled as Rosella and Serena, her other best friend from Auror training and university both helped her slip on the dress robe, and button it up to where her curves showed just right. She couldn't help the erotic nature of the dress any more than they could, the dress was custom made as they worked, using her own, personal mannequin.
Looking at Madam Malkin, who had just walked in the room and was nodding appreciatively, she smiled as time drew nearer and nearer.
"Are we sure I have to do this?"
Madam Malkin chuckled and nodded before saying, "We've talked to Mr. Gladrag at Gladrags, and Harry has agreed to pay the bill for this. If he hadn't, you would have considered it your wedding present. Now, I've got a shop to run but my two lovely assistants wish to remain here as your bridesmaids. Tell Mr. Potter that he is lucky, but be firm with him and let him know that you can take care of yourself!"
She nodded and hugged her dearest friend.
"Now, you'll not want to emphasize your breasts in this dress so I set it to remain at that size. If you increase it at all, you'll be in for a tight fit. Um... also the robes are self-repairing and will be easily replaced if you and Mr. Potter decide to be rough tonight."
She did blush at that, being the only virgin woman in a group of women that talk about sex when customers aren't around, it tends to do that. She hugged Hilda again and, with a witty and coy, "thanks" walked down the stairs.
Rosie and Serie went ahead of her, and took their respective places at the side opposite the groom. She saw the dirty looks they were giving him, and the smile that crept on her face was priceless.
Then... that music started. 'Here comes the bride' she said in her head as the familiar 'dum dum da dum.... dum da dum dum... dum dum da da dum da dum da de de de dum" played in the room. Guests from all over stood. The Minister of Magic, a man that often groped her at work, was shifting nervously from side to side, as Amelia Bones dabbed her eye with a tear. She rolled her eyes, that woman was always overly emotional.
Looking around from side to side, she saw her family, Remus, and the Weasley's as well as other dignitaries from other nations that were there for his wedding, the "Wedding of the Century" as foreign wizarding papers were calling it, though that had not passed her notice as of yet.
'Okay Tonks, breathe. A couple words, a quick shag to show we consummated the marriage, and then it's divorce city, we can then claim the stuff for Dumbledore and I can hex him to oblivion.'
As she reached her destined place by Harry, it was as if Dumbledore had read her mind.
'A hand fasting? Figures! What next, a spot in Nevada next to Britney Spears that says, "Oops, I did it again?"
Ignoring her own tittering, Tonks watched as Dumbledore created the infinity with the rope and tied it around his and her wrist. She almost cried as Harry said the vows, knowing that somewhere, instinctively he meant every word.
Then... it happened. Her time come... time to either take the consequences of breaking the contract or marrying Harry. She took the bond.
Two words, forever, eternity. She nearly died there. But, she wasn't the only one as Harry did too; she did, for the first time laugh. She did cover it, though, and she didn't think anyone noticed.
Afterwards, the Headmaster started talking about how their love had been pure, and one that would unite the two great families. Then, she recited that ancient marriage text, the bonding of life, death, health and sickness.
She took that oath of herself, knowing she did mean the words though she did not want to, not really. She wanted to wait until they were both ready for this, and not marry to prevent something like this happening.
She wanted an undercover assignment that stated they were married, and had consummated the marriage, but the Malfoy's were not stupid, she knew they would want a consummation ball, and, to her utter disbelief, she was right.
"It is now my great honor to present Lord Harry and Lady Nymphadora Potter, the Heads of the Potter family."
'Sure it is; you've got another weapon out of the Malfoy accounts. You're only setting yourself up for a great downfall, even I can see that."
Then, they were ushered... ushered from their own wedding without the cake or anything by prying hands that basically told them to get at it so they can shove it to the Malfoy's tomorrow.
Of course, the moment she had waited for come when Harry put his foot down and placed that ring on her finger. She almost cried, as he put the engagement ring that wasn't technically needed anymore on her finger too, and as she put her ring on his.
Then, they took that awful potion, no cake, no dessert. No, potion, probably from Severus' personal storage, probably hoping he'd get someone drunk enough to marry and hand fast with the hook nosed git.
Now, she did have to admit, the lovemaking more than made up for the potion. For, that is what it was. 'Well, not at first. At first, it was duty that we had to perform to keep money from Voldemort.'
About halfway though, she smiled, it turned from duty and to love. Even after her warning that he hadn't earned love, he caressed her, he asked permission, he did all the things that a woman would ever want, and he did them at her pace. He even tried backing out and taking the consequences because it would have disrespected her. Tonks was happy, to say the least.
Finally, after she told him that it was what she wanted, he picked up the pace and grew in confidence. That didn't mean, of course, that he took off her robes and his now that she was thinking about it. No, he was too bashful to do that. So, she did. And it was relieving, to say the least. The robes had begun to make her sweaty, and she was sure she'd have an odor.
If he had noticed, Tonks could barely catch Harry flinch at her smell or not. She did smell him, but it was intoxicating. She loved that smell, and knew that because of it, she would dream soundly.
After he brought her to climax just with his kisses and touches, and rubs on her special spot, Tonks could barely take the tension that had come between them as he thought he had hurt her. Had he never seen a Playwizard* Magazine?
No, apparently not, as he was prepared to stop then and there if he had hurt her in any way.
It took her removing the rest of his clothes to bring him out of his stupor. Hell bent on returning his favor from earlier, she began with subtle movements that she was sure would excite him, but at the same time hold him on edge. She smiled as he groaned as if it was what he had been missing all of his life. He had enjoyed what she was doing, and not just to make her think he meant it.
She stopped, and instantly knew he was disappointed though she did not know if he caught the small moan of disappointment. She took care of that in a hurry though, as she slid atop him.
At first, it was horrible, the feeling of stretching, and breaking of her hymen. It hurt, and he again prepared to stop. She would not have that, not after all that hard work to get her this excited. She motioned, and she smiled as she felt her loins fire up as Harry filled her again, and again with his manhood.
Finally, they lay together in silent adoration, until falling asleep.
Silently, she moves to wake up but feels him stir beside her, and tighten his grip around her.
'Well, maybe a few more minutes, after all we are on our honeymoon.'
