Title: The Power Of Blood

Rating: R

Summary: Severus has been captured by Aurors for the murder
of Dumbledore and the rape of Hermione. He requests something unusual and the
lives of everyone will never be the same.

Chapter 6: Hermione�s Refusal

�� Severus was
escorted to his quarters, which was away from where he usually slept. The room
made Severus feel lonely and upset and it just felt plain wrong. However, he
didn�t have time to think about it. He had a lot of things to do and not a lot of
time to do it. He pulled out a sheet of parchment and started to make out his
will, giving his money to his unborn child.

Once he
had finished with that, then he left and headed down to the greenhouses. He had
to get ready for the start-of-term and that meant having to deal with
dunderheads. He sighed. At least they wouldn�t be trying to blow him up with
horrible concoctions.

�� Harry had a
lot to deal with as he left the Headmistress office. He hated the idea that Snape
had gotten off, but he wasn�t going to kill a man that had no control over what
he did. He made himself at home in Gryffindor tower and then decided that he
was going to pay Snape a visit. It was time to patch things up with him so that
he could focus on defeating Voldemort.

�� Harry found
Severus putting several Mandrakes that looked as though they were for the
second years. He was so busy with working on them that he didn�t even notice
Harry. When Harry cleared her throat he jumped.

�� Sorry,
sir,� Harry said.

Severus muttered something and then turned to Harry.

�� What
do you want, Potter?� he asked harshly.

�� Well I
came here to tell you that I�m sorry about what happened to you,� he said. �I
didn�t know that Ron was going to use the information that I had discovered to
try and hurt you.�

Severus said nothing.

� ��And I just want to say as well that I�ll
help both you and Hermione if you need it.�

Severus said nothing, he didn�t
think he could.

� ��Well I�ll let you go,� he told him.

As Harry left Severus called out.

��
�Thank you, Potter, for your kind words.�

Harry
nodded and then left.

�� Can you believe their letting him go,�
Hermione said. �He rapped me and their letting him go.�

Ginny looked at her.

�� I bet they had some evidence,� Ginny said.

Hermione looked at her.

�� Are you defending him?� she snarled.

�� No,
no,� Ginny said. �I�m just stating a fact. So are you going to let him be with
you when you deliver?�

� ��NO!�
she snapped. �As soon as this little brat is born, I�m going to get rid of it.
Maybe some stupid family wants a freak of nature.�

Ginny stared at her. Hermione not wanting her own baby.

�� Hermione, please think about it,� Ginny
said. �A baby is a wonderful thing.�

�� Not
to me,� Hermione said. �Babies ruin your life and they take away from your
education. Let�s just hope Snape gets killed in the final battle and then no
one will know that freak child was his.�

Ginny started to feel a little
sick.

�� Excuse me, but I�m going to lunch.�

And she
was gone.

� ��She wants to do what,� Harry said.

� ��She wants to get rid of her own child,�
Ginny said. �And she hopes that Snape will die so that he can�t take care of
him or her. Oh god, Harry, what did Ron do to her?�

Harry sighed.

� ��He turned her into an uncaring witch,� he
said. �But don�t worry I�ve got a plan.�

Ginny looked at him.

� ��What kind of plan?� she asked.

�� A plan that will keep her child from having
my kind of life,� Harry said. �All I�ve got to do is talk to a certain
ex-potions master.�

�� Do
you think he�ll do it?� she asked him.

�
��Let�s hope so,� Harry said. �For that child�s
sake, let�s hope so.�

�� It took
hours for Severus to finally get everything planned out for the first week. He
was tired and covered with earth, but pleased. He returned to his room and
picked up the will that he had made. All he had to do was to tell Hermione that
the child would have his fortune and name and then, maybe, everything would be
alright. He knocked on her door and when she answered, she slammed the door in
his face.

�� Miss Granger, I�m
not going to hurt you,� he told her.

�� Go away,� Hermione
said.

�� Hermione, I just
wanted to tell you that if I die your child will get all my money.�

Hermione opened the door a crack and looked at him.

�� Is there a catch?�
she asked.

�� Only that he or
she has to have my last name.�

�� Then take your
will and go to hell,� Hermione said. �I�m not having my child be connected with
you.�

And she slammed the door again in his face.

He sighed and then he noticed Harry. He motioned him forward
and then said in a low tone, �I need to talk to you about something.� Severus
nodded and followed him.

Note: I know, Hermione is still
acting like a jerk. Well, I think the next one will be nice, if you�re tired of
hearing Hermione�s voice.
