Standing behind the statue of the one-eyed witch, Harry was making certain he was fully covered by the invisibility cloak. While doing that, he was double-checking the map to ensure that no one that didn't know he was doing this was about. Sirius and Remus had been filled in that he was going to be coming into the castle at night to spend time with his lovers. They, of course, didn't have a problem with this and wouldn't say a word. Draco, he was sure, knew it was going to happen as well though he wasn't directly told. That just meant that he had to dodge everyone else was all. As he was an old hat at this, though he was rusty when it came to doing so, he was sure he could manage it. Especially since he now had an assist.
Earlier in the day, before they had to be up at the castle, Severus had charmed something that looked like a drawer. He had one at the castle and Harry had the other down at the house. This way they could put notes in it and pass them rather than use an owl. Just before he had set out for the night, not long before curfew at the castle, Severus had sent a short note saying he had enlisted the Bloody Baron's help in keeping an eye on things. The Slytherin ghost was going to meet then escort him either to Lucius or himself. If neither of them were available, he would take him down to their chambers. It would stave off issues with Peeves and the other ghosts as well as anyone else. Filch came to mind with that. The old caretaker wasn't about to get into anything with the Baron.
After double-checking the map to be on the safe side, Harry saw the Baron right outside the passage. Nodding, keeping hold of the map and ensuring the cloak was in place, he pushed the statue out then eased into one of the Hogwarts hallways for the first time in over a decade. Grinning to himself, thinking it was odd that after all the sneaking out he had done, he was now sneaking in, he then heard a ghostly chuckle.
“Welcome back, young man,” the Baron said softly.
“Thanks, sir,” Harry told him. Not wanting to remove the cloak, he asked, “Everything set up to go?”
“Indeed, indeed! I was filled in as to what is going on and will help you get where you need to go. Severus said you have one of those maps on you like they have?” The ghost asked.
“Right here, yeah. I have the original,” Harry told him.
“Very good! They are most pleased with those things. Now, let's see if one of them is close. If they aren't, I'll take you down to Severus' quarters.” The Baron told him, starting to float down the hall.
Walking beside the ghost, Harry looked at the map. “Lucius appears to be one floor below us, alone. Severus is two down but engaged in something or other with a couple students,” he told the ghost softly, making sure to be aware to keep his voice down so any paintings around wouldn't notice something amiss then start gossiping.
“Ah, yes, Severus must have caught a couple wayward students. No, it's best to find Lucius. He can get your to the dungeons from there. Alright, follow me. I'll make certain all the paintings say nothing and no one bothers us,” The Baron nodded, floating off a bit faster.
Keeping pace with the ghost, Harry couldn't help but look around, trying to see what had changed where. Honestly, though, it still looked like the same place that he had gone to school in. There were signs of the massive battle that had taken place, such as newer stones in places or statues that had been damaged showing signs of being repaired, but everything else looked the same.
Leading the young man down a hidden staircase, one that had no paintings around, the Baron told him, tone hushed, “Normally, you know, this isn't something I would consent to doing. However, both my Snakes, especially Severus, seem much happier this year. I can only chalk that up to you. In the interest of helping them, I took no issue in this bit of subterfuge.”
Grinning a bit, sure the ghost could see it, Harry told him, “Yeah, it's odd, not something most would have even thought would happen, but we like it.”
“I will admit to having been blindsided when Severus told me just who I was helping to sneak into Hogwarts to spend the night with him and Lucius, but I rallied to the occasion. Nothing like helping two of my Snakes find happiness after so much sorrow in their lives.” After a ghostly chuckle, one that always sounded chilling even when he wasn't trying for it to be, he then added, “And you as well, young man. You three deserve happiness. Yes, it's a sneaking around I'm willing to assist in.”
“Thanks,” Harry said softly, still grinning.
By the time they stepped off the staircase, Lucius was in view. It looked like the elder Malfoy was heading towards the staircase on the other end of the hall, probably finishing up for the night and going to the dungeons. A bit of an evil grin on his face, Harry hurried forward to catch up to the man. Unable to resist the impulse, as he had made sure to put a spell on to keep his footsteps quiet so Lucius, nor anyone else, would hear him, he sneaked up right behind his lover then gave his ass a good grope. As Lucius hadn't had the map out, he gave a bit of a startled gasp then spun around, wand out. Grinning from ear to ear, shaking his head, Harry let out a soft chuckle. It wasn't often he could get the drop on the older Malfoy so he reveled in it.
Hearing a familiar chuckle then seeing the Bloody Baron floating there, Lucius just huffed, fighting the urge to roll his eyes. “That was rather immature,” he muttered softly.
“You enjoyed it, admit it!” Harry told him, still chuckling. “C'mon! I can very rarely get the drop on you. When I get the chance, I have to go for it!”
Smirking slightly, seeing the humor, and truth, in it, Lucius just gave a long-suffering sigh then shook his head. “Alright, you finally managed. Let's get down to the dungeons before someone might notice something or the paintings overhear us then start to gossip.” Nodding to the Baron, knowing he was going to assist, he then headed off towards the dungeons, whispering to Harry, “Keep the map out and let me know if we need to detour around someone that might get suspicious.”
“Will do,” Harry murmured back then gave directions on how to avoid Professor Sprout.
It didn't take them long to get to where they were going. Lucius, once, when Harry alerted him to some students hiding somewhere, contacted Severus to handle it, but the trip was quick and they were soon standing outside Lucius' quarters. Saying the password, the tapestry that covered the door behind it moved aside then the door opened. Looking at the Baron, he gave a nod, “You assist was most helpful, thank you.”
“Ah, it was no problem, Lucius.” Looking at Harry, he nodded, “And, young man, we'll meet again tomorrow!” After hearing Harry say thanks, he floated off down the corridor, headed for the dorms.
Ushering Harry into his quarters after a quick look around to ensure that no one was around, Lucius then closed the door behind them. “There were no problems getting in, Harry?”
Stripping off the invisibility cloak then draping it over a chair, Harry shook his head. “It all went fine. The Baron met me and we made it down with no problem.”
“Good,” Lucius nodded. Stepping closer to his young lover, he put a hand on the back of his head and pulled him into a kiss. After breaking it off, he smiled at him. “I do admit I would never have thought to ask the Baron for an assist. That was a stroke of genius on Severus' part. Though I do feel that we may be getting an assist for this sneaking about from a strange area.”
“Oh? How is that?” Harry asked, eyebrow arched, wondering what was up.
Pointing to the door in the wall by them, Lucius explained, “That wasn't there last term. It actually leads to Severus' quarters. I do believe the castle knows what's going on and has decided to give us some help. Not only is there a door there, Severus' chambers are larger than last year with a bigger shower and bedroom. Not to mention a bed that will fit all three of us. Ah, the old lady must know what's going on and wants to encourage it.”
Since his first year, Harry had known that the castle rather had a mind of its own and something like a sense of humor. Somehow, something like this didn't surprise him. Shaking his head, grinning, he asked, “Are your quarters the same or enlarged as well.”
“No, mine are the same. Only Severus' were enlarged,” Lucius told him with a shake of his head.
“I wonder why only his,” Harry asked, looking at the door.
Ushering him over then opening it, they stepped inside. Pleased that the fire was already going and the sometimes chilly dungeon was at a comfortable temperature, he said, “We do believe it's because Severus is head of Slytherin. As such, the students in his house sometimes need to contact him at night, even in the middle of the night, it behooves us to stay in here.” Walking over to the drinks cart that was there, Lucius poured them both a brandy then went to the couch and sat down.
Flopping down by his lover, Harry took the proffered drink then sipped. Nodding, he said, “That makes sense.”
“Ah, yes, speaking of Severus...” Lucius said, trailing off. Putting his drink aside, he pulled out the mirror then tapped it with his wand in the signal for Severus. When the Potions Master appeared in it, he told him, “The Baron delivered the package and it's waiting here in your quarters, Severus.”
Nodding, Severus replied, “Good. I'll be there shortly. I've found my Ravenclaw couple's hiding place and am moving in for the kill.”
Chuckling, shaking his head, Lucius told him, “Enjoy yourself and see you soon.” After seeing a feral grin from Severus, he disconnected the mirror. Setting it aside, he told Harry, “The map and those mirrors are Merlin sent! Already, the assist they have given us are immeasurable. And the looks on the students faces when they are caught is priceless!”
With a loud groan, Harry's head dropped back onto the back of the sofa then he groused, “I've turned traitor.”
Letting out an amused snort, Lucius told him, humor quite evident in his tone, “Yes, I believe Black was bemoaning the same thing earlier. Lupin put it best I think; technically, you haven't as you are still up to no good just working for a different side of no good than before!” Nudging his younger lover, he added, “Plus, with what you're doing with your version, no good is something you're still up to with it!”
“There is that,” Harry grinned. “Though it's not against the rules, honestly, for you two to have me here since the relationship is rather established but...” Stopping, Harry shrugged and couldn't help but grin.
“Yes, true. However, I do agree with you on going about it this way. Minerva, though good at keeping secrets, would have to be told. Once we did tell someone here, chances are that it wouldn't remain that way for long. Paintings, ghosts, all the other things do tend to gossip and it would get out. No, I agree, as does Severus, that though it will be a pain to do it this way, it's for the best.”
“Yeah, the less that know the better. The realism is that we're eventually going to be found out but I want to put that off as long as possible!” Harry told him. Leaning over against Lucius, smiling when he felt an arm drape around his shoulder, he said, “Alright, I'm here, as strange as it is. So, you two said you have stuff you need help with?”
“Yes! There is some paperwork we do need to do and thought your aid would benefit both of us. Once we start giving homework, we'll have you help with that as well. However, first, let me teach you a spell to mimic our handwriting,” Lucius told him. Giving Harry's shoulder a squeeze, he slipped off the couch for a spare bit of parchment and quill.
About forty-five minutes after the message via the mirror, a smug Severus stepped back into his quarters. Oh yes, revenge was sweet and the two Ravenclaws were now in detention with Filch for a week! He knew it wasn't going to deter them from their clandestine meetings, but it was just the first catch of the two that had driven him nuts for some time now. It felt wonderful!
Leaning on the jamb of the door that lead into what would be termed his living room, he crossed his arms over his chest and stared at the two on the sofa, something that could only be termed a smile on his face. Harry was straddling Lucius' legs, facing him and both of the them were laughing. No, nothing sexual was going on at all as they were both clothed, but they seemed to be enjoying themselves.
Focusing on his old friend, he couldn't help but realize that, until this summer and getting together with Harry, it had been a long time since he had heard his old friend laugh. Hell, honestly, it had been the same for him. Somehow, Harry, and the way he was, brought that out in both of them. He supposed that had to do with all the time the young man had spent away after the war, settling into a life that made him happy and doing what he wanted. He joked with them and did other things, making both of them feeling good, more comfortable with things. It felt wonderful, honestly. Nor had he ever thought that he would have someone in his life that would bring out such a thing. It was there, though, and he liked it.
Watching the scene, he finally asked, “Do I want to know what brought on such mirth?”
Leaning back slightly, glancing over his shoulder at Severus, still grinning, Harry told him, “We were talking about the time Lucius took both of us to that gentleman's club in Paris. The look on your face when you saw the show the first time was priceless! I thought you were going to swallow the whole glass you were drinking out of!”
Giving a snort, Severus fought the urge to roll his eyes. Walking over, he poured himself a drink then went and seated himself by the two on the couch. After a sip, he said, “Well, yes, I imagine my stunned shock was rather amusing to you two infantile perverts. However, as I said at the time, a little warning as to what was to come would have been nice. I take no issue in indulging in such things but would like a warning before being blindsided!”
“Oh, please, your reaction to it was part of the fun!” Harry snorted, grinning, elbowing Severus in a good natured way.
“And your revenge the next day with the potion in our tea that dissolved our clothes while we were eating breakfast was more than enough in that department, Severus,” Lucius added, a humorous smirk on his face.
“There was that, yes,” Severus said smugly. “It was amusing to watch the two of you try to figure out what was happening and checking for spells!”
“I imagine,” Lucius conceded. “Though I do have to say, the look on Harry's face when I took him and he saw what was going on was good as well. Just not as... how shall we say it... as astonished.” Lucius said, tone smug.
“Yeah, well, I never expected you to take me to see strippers!” Harry grinned. Leaning over, he gave Severus a quick kiss then shifted around to where he was seated right on the sofa, squeezed between the two men. Leaning back, getting comfortable, he sipped his drink, still grinning slightly.
Putting a hand on Harry's knee, Severus gave it a squeeze then said, “I will say that this past summer was most adventurous and something I enjoyed. The companionship was something that made it even more so.”
“Ah, yes, Severus' way of saying he likes hanging out with us two 'infantile perverts',” Lucius chuckled.
“Yeah, we're fun and never boring!” Harry added, grinning.
“Mr. Potter, if there is one thing you never were, it was boring!” Severus snorted, a grin starting to turn up the corners of his mouth.
“There is that, yeah,” Harry grinned. “This version of that is much better than it used to be though! You have to admit that!”
“Oh, you will hear no argument from me on that! Between stones, the Dark Lord masquerading as a teacher, basilisks and other such happiness, your term in this school was far from boring!” Severus snorted.
“Yeah, well, most of that wasn't my fault, you know!” Harry shot right back. Stopping, a somewhat serious expression crossed Harry's face then he said, “I have a question for you, Severus.”
Looking at the young man, Severus asked, “Yes?”
“The basilisk... I was thinking about that. Hermione told me later, after she and Ron went down there to get the fangs, that though part of it was skeletonized, part of it was intact, like it was preserved. Yeah, that was over a decade ago but... I mean, couldn't you use what is there? I know there was at least one shed skin down there of it. Honestly, there is probably more than that. It might be old now, but couldn't you use some of that?”
“Indeed, I could,” Severus nodded. “The bones alone, if that is all that is left, would be most helpful in many things. I'm not sure if anything else would remain after a decade in a damp, dank place such as that but the bones alone would be worth a foray into it if I could manage. Why?”
“Just thinking,” Harry said, scrubbing a hand over his face. “Before you say it; no, I’m not wanting to go off on some kind of adventure on my own and get into trouble. My time of doing that is done and I don't even want to think about doing something like it again. There really, if I remember right, is nothing else down there. I never did understand why someone didn't go down and get what was left of that thing. Shite, even I know how much it's worth if sold and how valuable the parts are for potions.”
“I don't know why either, honestly,” Severus said with a shake of his head. “Once the creature was taken care of, all someone would have had to do was have you open the thing and the teachers could have retrieved whatever was down there. Not to mention respell the entrance to get in on our own. It is, after all, a relic that is from the founders and worth exploring even if nothing else is down there, as you say.”
Listening in, Lucius said, tone contemplative, “Perhaps, as we know the beast is gone, some night we can enlist Black, Lupin and Draco then take a foray down there to get what remains of the creature. We would include Minerva, of course, as she would have to know about such things. She could, if we do it late at night, keep things hushed up and no one but us would know. All it would take was us telling her since Harry has returned that we think the risk of doing so would be worth it for the parts we would get. I don't think she would object to that. As we are all grown wizards and not students looking for an adventure, thus taking proper precautions, I don't see how this could go badly. Like you said, Severus, we can then respell the entrance to where staff only could get in.”
Thinking that over, looking down into his drink, Severus then, slowly, nodded. Though he didn't like involving Minerva, what boon could come from even skeletonized parts of the beast would be something immeasurable. And, as Lucius said, they were adults and would take precautions to guard against things and make this as safe a foray as they could. “I think, perhaps, it might be something worth considering. The basilisk alone would be worth such a thing. Parts from those creatures are expensive to get. There is much the infirmary could use if I could manage to get my hands on them. We would, of course, have to be cautious as we don't know what's down there but I do think such an adventure would be worth it. Yes, once things settle down and the term kicks into full gear, we can approach Minerva about it. We'll have to think up some excuse why it would even have come up, of course, but we should be able to manage that.”
Shrugging, Harry said, “I'm all for it. I mean, I can't see something like that sitting and going to waste if it can be used.”
“I do have to ask, Harry, why did this come up?” Severus asked, decidedly curious about it.
“Just one of those things. I mean, it's the first time I've been back for a decade then I was sitting and looking at the castle out the back window. That just kinda' brought up so much of what went on. Then I was curious about that, what with you talking about potions and such here and there. Nothing more than that,” Harry shrugged. Grinning, he added, “Trust me, I'm not bored enough to invent adventures to go on! I have plenty to do right now to keep me busy!”
“You've matured enough that I didn't think that was what was going on,” Severus told him with a nod. The reasoning he could understand, that was for certain. Being back and seeing the castle from one of the windows in his house would be enough to trigger old memories, something he could understand.
“Nope. The new motto is if I’m doing that stuff, you two are doing it with me!” Harry grinned, chuckling softly.
Groaning, Lucius leaned his head back and rubbed his eyes then snorted, “That is enough to strike fear into the hearts of the most brave of beings!”
Laughing, giving Lucius an elbow in the ribs, Harry told him, “Please! I'm planning out things for us! Muggle London has tons of fun stuff to do. Porn movies come to mind! Huge screen, lots of sex, soundtrack to it, it would be great! I've seen the Wizard version of porn. All long beards, strange things, charms that do odd things to your body, not much movement, odd stories about spells, stuff like that. No, this is much better! Something you can get into more without being weirded out by strange moving pictures of men that are not good looking!”
Almost snorting the drink he had taken out of his nose, Severus shook his head, trying not to grin, “A whole other type of adventure for you, this I admit!”
“It could be fun! Admit it!” Harry told him, still grinning.
Groaning in mock pain, Lucius asked, fighting not to laugh, “What have we gotten ourselves into, Severus?”
“Something that will never be dull,” Severus answered with a snort.
