Chapter 6
"Harry please say something."
"Sirius I don't know what to say, no what I know what to say...."
"Harry before you answer. No matter what you answer give I will always be here for you and I will always love you."
"Siri would you shut up for a minute. I was going to tell you, you didn't have to be nervous about asking me. I would love for you to adopt me. When can we do it? Can we do it before Ron and Moine come over? What about Snape?"
"We can go over to the ministry first thing tomorrow and get it done. As far as Severus when he comes over this weekend I was going to ask him if he would marry me. That is if you are okay with it."
"Lets wait until I have the chance to talk to him when he comes over."
"Okay Harry, thats fair enough." Sirius started to say something else and Tilly popped in.
"Master Sirius, Master Harry your dinner is done."
"Okay Tilly we will be there in a moment." Tilly popped back out.
"Come on Harry lets go eat." They walked into the dinning room. Tilly and the other elves had out done themselves. There was roast beef, mashed potatoes, corn, green beans, baked potatoes with everything you needed for them, there was wine, and butterbeer. While they ate they laughed and joked around. After they ate Harry got replies from Ron and Hermione. Harry opened Hermione's letter first.
Harry,
Of course I want to come over. What kind of stuff do you have to tell us? I know you said that it wasn't something you could say in a letter, but I was just wondering if it was something about Sirius. Well I will see you tomorrow. Love -Hermione-
Harry put aside Hermione's letter and opened Ron's letter.
Hey mate,
Mum said it was okay for me to come over tomorrow. So how is padfoot treating you? Oh by the way Bill and Tonks are getting married at the end of the summer. You are invited of course. Not sure how that happened. But I will see you tomorrow. -Ron-
Harry went to bed that night with his head so full it felt like it was going to explode. He fell asleep quickly.

In the headmistress' office, Headmistress McGonagall was reading the letters that were sent to her through out the day. The first one she read was from Sirius. She wrote her reply .
Sirius,
I am glad that you are going to take the job. Yes I know that you and Severus are together. Don't worry your secret is safe with me. And no its not a problem at all. I think we could do with a little more love. As far as Harry being resorted, I would hate to lose him from Gryffindor, but if that is what he truly wants then when you come get everything ready for your classes he can come and we will resort him. I hope Harry agrees with you adopting him. Let me know when and Harry are coming. -Headmistress McGonagall-
She looked at the next letter it was from the other new teacher. She just sat there for a few minutes. After sitting there she read the letter, all the teaching positions were filled. She wrote a reply to the other letter.
Remus,
I am glad you decided to take the job. When yo taught Defense last time everyone enjoyed it. No its not a problem that you and Charlie are together. Everyone needs to have more love in their lives. I hope you guys work out for the best. Please make sure you have all of your classes planed out before you come.

She knew she was just repeating herself with the two letters. She decided she would send them first thing in the morning. Then she went to bed.

When Harry rolled over and looked at the clock he realized it was 7.
'Damn only have time for a quick shower.' He rolled out of bed and walked over to the bathroom. Harry stepped into the shower and started washing up. Just as he got out he heard a house elf pop into his room.
"Master Harry. Master Sirius sent me to tell you that you have to leave in about 30 minutes."
"Okay, thanks." Harry came out and started to get dressed. When he walked out of his room 10 minutes later. Harry looked down at his clothes. They were completely Slytherin colors. His pants were dark green and his shirt was silver. Harry smirked. He hadn't even paid attention when he picked out his clothes.
'Oh well might as well go with what feels natural.' Harry walked down the stairs and into the kitchen. Tilly was standing there with a bacon sandwich for Harry.
"Thanks Tilly."
"Your welcome Master Harry. Master Sirius said for you to meet him in the study on this floor."
"Okay, thanks again." As he walked to the study Harry thought about what was going to happen today. He was to excited. Sirius turned toward the door when he heard it open. When he realized Harry was in Slytherin colors he just smirked. Harry looked so relaxed, Sirius had never seen him that way before.
"You ready to go Harry?"
"Yep let me just finish this off." With that Harry put the last of his sandwich in his mouth and smiled.
"Okay lets go." Sirius grabbed Harry's arm threw some floo powder into the fire and called,
"Ministry of Magic Atrium." They stepped through and stepped out when they got to the ministry.
"Harry are you sure that you want to do this?"
"Siri please, I really do want this."
"Alright Harry lets go." They walked up to the security desk. The man there was so busy reading the paper, he didn't even realize someone was standing there. Harry waited about 15 seconds more then said,
"You know for someone sitting at a security desk you really don't pay attention." The guard looked up startled and Sirius just stood there staring at Harry in shock.
'He sounded just like a Malfoy.' Sirius thought.
"Sorry, state your business and produce your wands please." Harry and Sirius pulled out their wands and handed them over.
"We are here for an adoption." Sirius told the guard. The guard weighed the wands and handed them back.
"Very well take the elevator to the 3rd floor and go to Madam Bones' office."
"Okay thanks." Harry grinned at the guard. He and Sirius went to the elevators and rode up to the 3rd floor. They knocked on Madam Bones door and heard her say,
"Come in." She looked up and said,
"Lord Black, Mister Potter what can I do for you today?" Harry was a little startled at what she called Sirius.
"Well I would like to adopt Harry here."
"Okay let me get the paper work together."
"How long will it take to do everything?" Harry asked. He knew Ron and Hermione where suppose to be at the manor at one.
"Well Mr. Potter, it will take at least an hour."
"Okay." Harry smiled at her. She started pulling papers out of her desk.
"Alright Lord Black..."
"Please call me Sirius."
"Okay Sirius, I need you to start filling out these, and Harry could you fill these out."
"Sure." They said at the same time. Harry looked down and realized this was going to be easy. The paper work was a bunch of questions he had to answer.

Harry started with his name and birthday, then filled in the one about no one making him come. The last question he thought about for a minute smirked and started writing. Sirius had already finished his and glanced at Harry just as he smirked. Sirius knew that look. It was the same one James used to get, but there was one small difference. He could tell it was a bit more Slytherin. Harry started writing.
'I want to be adopted by Sirius because he was my parents best friend and the only family I have left. He is the father and brother I never had.' Harry handed all the papers back to Madam Bones.
"Okay lets see. Harry I need you to sign here, you also Sirius." They both signed where they were suppose to.
"Alright there is only two things more to do and part of that is just waiting until the papers come back to see if it was approved. But first I need Harry to place a drop of blood on this page. And Sirius on this page. After that all we can do is wait." Harry and Sirius both put blood where they were suppose to. As soon as they were finished the papers disappeared.
"Can I get you some tea or something?" Harry and Sirius told her tea was fine. They sat there enjoying their tea waiting for all the paperwork to come back. About 30 minutes later the papers appeared on the desk. Madam Bones looked through the papers to make sure everything was correct. Once she realized it was alright, she looked at Harry.
"Well you are now Harry James Potter Black. Congratulations Harry."
"Thanks."
"It's not any problem Harry. Now to do the bond part of the adoption. You will both have to cut the palm of your right hand. Then there are some things you will have to repeat after me."
"Okay lets go ahead." Harry told her. Sirius and Harry both cut their palms.
"Okay gentlemen. Put your palms together. Sirius repeat after me. I Sirius Orion Black, adopt Harry James Potter as my own son. And do swear that I will treat him as such." Magic started swirling around them.
"Okay Harry repeat after me; I Harry James Potter, do accept Sirius Orion Black as my parent and legal guardian. And will so by treat him as such. So I say it, so mote it be." The light swirled fast around them and finally stopped. When Sirius looked at Harry, what he saw shocked him. Harry now had the Black hair that fell just below his shoulders and if he wanted it would hide his face. Sirius smirked there was no way anyone would be able to resist him.
"Harry would you like to see yourself?" Sirius asked.
"Sure Siri." Sirius conjured a mirror and held it up so Harry could see himself.
"Bloody hell Siri. I didn't know I would change that much. And am I taller?"
"Harry language." Madam Bones corrected. Harry ducked his head and hid behind his new longer hair.
"Sorry Madam Bones." Harry murmured.
"It's alright Harry. I understand you were shocked." Madam told him smiling.
"Anyway, am I taller?"
"Yes Harry you are." Sirius told him.
"Wicked." Harry smirked, and Sirius knew what he was thinking about.
"Are we finished Madam Bones?" Sirius asked.
"Yes you are."
"Okay Harry we have to get back. Your friends will be at the manor soon."
"Okay Siri. I can't wait till they see the new me." They walked back to the elevators and rode back down. As they passed the guard desk Harry said,
"Bye. Make sure you keep a closer watch on who comes up." Harry let a smirk appear on his face. The guard just rolled his eyes. They flooed back to the manor. As soon as they stepped through, Tilly popped in looking nervous.
"Tilly what's the matter." Sirius asked her.
"Master Harry Potter's friends are here and are getting angry because they are tired of waiting."
"It's okay Tilly, and Harry is a Black now. Where are his friends?" Tilly looked at Sirius and smiled a crooked grin.
"That is being very good Master. They are in the library."
"Okay thanks Tilly." Harry told her, and then looked at Sirius and smirked saying,
"Well I guess it's time to face the music as it were." Sirius smiled back at him.
"If you need me I will be in the garden."
"Okay Siri." Harry walked out and down the hallway. Before he walked in he took a deep breath to steady his nerves.
'I can do this.' Harry walked in, as soon as he did he was attacked by Hermione.
"Harry where were you? You knew we were going to be here at one. And what happened to you?"
"Mione, let him breath. He is turning blue." Hermione let go of him and really looked at him. Harry gestured for them to sit.
"Hey guys. Sorry you were waiting so long. Siri took me to the Ministry to adopt me. Now my name is Harry James Potter Black. It took longer than we thought. That is also why I look different. I took some of the Black family traits, like the hair and growth spurt."
"Oh Harry, thats wonderful. You have a family." Hermione gushed. Harry just rolled his eyes and Ron looked uncomfortable.
"Well guys there are somethings I have to tell you."

"Okay mate." Just then an owl flew in and dropped the letter in Harry's lap. Harry looked at it with caution, but picked it up and unrolled it anyway.
Harry,
I loved you yesterday, I love you today, I will love you forever and always!
