Hello everyone! Sorry that I haven't uploaded in forever, I was in a class that took up a lot of my free time so I wasn't able to write anything new. I am going to post a new chapter of School for Pets here soon too! So keep an eye out for that. Enjoy!
The three of them arrived in Diagon Alley early so that Draco wouldn't be waiting on them. If his situation was a dire as his letter stated then they didn't want him to be out in the open on his own for very long. They arrived at the cafe and ordered some drinks as they waited. It wasn't long before Draco briskly walked in and sat down at their table.
“Father. Uncle Severus. Thank you so much for letting me stay with you. It means a lot to me.” Draco said gratefully.
“It's not a problem Draco, but it really wasn't our decision.” Lucius replied with a smile as he gestured to Harry
“Potter?! What are you doing here?” Draco asked in surprise.
“Our store was burnt down by the DEHA.” Severus said.
“So they live with me now!” Harry replied brightly. “Now, speaking of the DEHA, were you followed here?”
“Umm, I don't think so. Why?” Draco asked
“I think you were. Albert Flemish is eyeing us from across the street. He's a well known member of the DEHA. We better finish up here and head home. Severus do we need to pick anything up from the shops while we're here?” Harry asked.
“No, we don't have to go on a supply run for another week.” Severus replied, slyly looking across the street.
“Then I suggest that we casually pay and head home. Don't pay any attention to Flemish as we walk past, he won't do anything with me here.” Harry replied, smiling as he waved down the waiter.
“Do you have all of your things Draco?” Lucius asked.
“Yes Father, its all shrunk in my pocket.” Draco replied.
“Good, let's go. Lucius you can side apparate right?” Harry asked as they got up from the table.
“Yes.” Lucius replied.
“Good. When we get to the Leaky Cauldron we'll all apparate home. I'm sure Flemish will follow us but he can't follow an apparition.” Harry said. He had a serious and calculating look in his eye and Severus wondered if this was how he was when he went on his missions. Draco raised an eyebrow at Lucius, who just nodded.
They all talked amicably as they walked down the street past Flemish, who started to follow them. He was surprisingly stealthy at it, but not enough for Harry to not be able to detect him. They quickly made it to the Leaky Cauldron. Lucius, Severus and Draco apparated first and Harry threw a smirk at Flemish before he followed suit.
Severus and Lucius were talking to Draco when Harry popped into the house. He went over and pulled his collar from its hook by the door and then put it on. Draco saw it and whirled around to stare at his father incredulously.
“Wait a minute! Not only are your living with Potter, but he's your submissive as well?!” Draco said in outrage. Harry merely raised an eyebrow at his outburst and went into the kitchen to start cooking lunch. They had originally planned to eat at the cafe, but Flemish had ruined that plan.
“Draco, you are a guest in this home and you will show Harry proper respect. Yes, we are living here and yes he is our submissive. If that really others you so much then you are going to have a hard time staying here.” Lucius said sternly.
“Of course. Sorry father.” Draco said, looking ashamed.
“I'm not the only one you need to apologize to.”
“I apologize for my actions Potter.” Draco said, fighting to keep the sneer off his face.
“It's fine.” Harry replied. “Luc, Sev why don't you show Draco around and let him get settled in his room while I make lunch.” Harry suggested.
“Great idea Harry.” Severus replied. It seemed that while Harry had grown out of his childish rivalry, the same could not be said for Draco. He just hoped that when Draco settled in and was more comfortable now that he wasn't being hunted that he would calm down.
By the time that they finished the tour and showed Draco what was to be his bedroom, Harry called them down for lunch. They left Draco in his room to look around and told him to come down when he was ready. Draco dropped his bag on the floor and grinned as he looked around the room. Phase one of his plan was done, time to start phase II.
Harry, Lucius and Severus were sitting at the table eating and talking when Draco came downstairs.
“Have a seat.” Harry said with a smile, indicating the chair with a plate of food in front of it.
“Thank you.” Draco replied, sitting down and digging into his food.
“Do you like your room?”
“Yes, it's very beautiful. Thank you.” Draco replied.
“So, since my letters to you obviously have somehow been getting lost we can fill you in on what's happened since the old shop burned down.” Lucius said.
“Old shop, you mean you have a new shop now?” Draco asked.
“Yes, we saved up and bought one in Horizont Alley. We sell my potions there and Harry makes lotions and soaps with potions mixed into them. It's doing very well.” Severus replied.
“That's great!” Draco said with a genuine smile. “I'm glad things are finally turning around for you two.”
They spent the rest of the day lounging around the house and letting Draco settle in. He looked at them strangely when Harry took a nap in his sun bed and they sat in their normal seats but Lucius just smiled at him. It didn't matter if Draco was in the house now, they weren't going to change their normal habits just because he was there. Eventually Draco just rolled his eyes and busied himself with some notebook that he was reading and jotting notes down in.
Harry mewled as he woke up and sat up in his bed.
“Hello kitten.” Lucius said with a smile, leaning down to give Harry a kiss.
“Hi.” Harry replied. He looked up to see Draco quickly mask the sneer he was sending their way. “Settling in Draco?”
“Yes, thank you.” Draco replied cordially.
“Tomorrow I'll go to the ministry and see what information I can dig up on the DEHA and the Death Eaters. Maybe I'll be able to give them a false lead to get them off your trail.” Harry said, stretching as he stood up.
“How would you be able to do that? I went to the ministry myself and they couldn't do anything.” Draco asked.
“I have clearances and access to things that you don't.” Harry said simply.
“How? What do you do?” Draco asked.
“Harry's on a team of-”Severus started.
“Investigators for the ministry. I can get to files that the majority of the people cant.” Harry interrupted.
“Oh. Well thank you.” Draco said.
“It's no problem.” Harry smiled.
